the extra fame for medals is tiny so is unlikely to matter that much but it can sometimes get you an extra shard
but typically reaching a final in a normal show should be about 13 shards worth of fame if i'm not mistaken

Speeds on how to get crowns:

Slow & steady: explore/creator features community levels, may be have hard levels or unplayable levels but if you complete one (no qualification requirements unless there's a survival level) 5 crown shards each completed level.

The risky(and the traditional one): playing knockout or classic games (including ranked) but you don't get crowns unless you win.

And the rewarding one: completing fame pass, even more if you buy the fame pass but take it way on that one.

biggest recommendation is just playing a little bit every day rather than trying to do it all at once and getting really frustrated

Basically, Back when Fortnite was on the App Store and Google Play Store, Epic Put In a Function that Allowed Players to Spend In-App Purchases Directly to Epic, Bypassing the Surcharge that Apple and Google Have for IAPs. Both Companies Didn't Like that, so They Removed Fortnite from their Stores and Blacklisted Epic, and Epic Retaliated by Suing Both of Them

Debug menus are only meant to be included in testing builds to be able to identify the causes of bugs

100% what they did is accidentally leave the trigger to enable it in the public version of the game with that update back in December lol
