the ars goetia? no thats a part of the lesser key of solomon (one of 5 texts included) and was complied in the 17th century

crowley helped publish a version of the book that was translated from the original latin and is the one most commonly used today

This portion of the work was later translated by Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers and published by Aleister Crowley in 1904 under the title The Book of the Goetia of Solomon the King. Crowley added some additional invocations previously unrelated to the original work (including some evocations in the Enochian language), as well as essays describing the rituals as psychological exploration instead of demon summoning.

So from my understanding, this pretty much copies of texts that already exist and puts them into a really nice leather bound copy.
Which, in my opinion, is good for things like collector piles but not specifically for like learning things when you can get more information from the text that they originally came from as it skips over a bunch.
the art in the book is soild but the info can be found from a bunch of other sources

It's also from my understanding written entirely in Old English. Um, so if you don't know old english, it's gonna be very hard to use as a resource.

hmm so there are a few ways to go about it:
1 you can drink the offering yourself as an act of devotion, nourishing your body through devotion (do this with permission)
2 you can pour the offering into the earth as a form of giving back to the entity in question
3 you can leave a cup of the offering on the altar of the entity in question. this can be anywhere from a few hours or until its entirely gone (i rarely do this method with offerings bc i hate bugs but if you use water this is a solid method bc just chucking a water bottle on what is a "normal space" is fairly common)

this then leads into my answer for your question: you would check with your entity through a means of communication which can be:

• divination
• astral stuff (if you know what your doing)
• clairsenses (if you have them)
• dreams (if you use them in your practice)

Now, I know that attachments are very rare. And I know hauntings and stuff are rare too. HOWEVER, how do you know if a demon/entity/spirit is attached to you or haunting you? More so a demon. Because I have a kind of crazy story and it could be nothing but at the same time im worried. I want to know if it's a me thing or if there is an entity attached.

so it kind of depends on the demon in question, why you feel like they're haunting you or attached to you, and if you've done anything to remove them from you and it hasn't worked

Ok so for the past MONTHS ive been feeling drained and getting skinnier. Doctor said nothing is wrong. but its to the point i dont have any energy for ALMOST anything. (this would be more a dm topic to go into, its a bit tmi). But i also kept on having dreams that I never used to have much OFTEN. Me being curious and dumb downloaded a ghost app thing (I normally take it with a grain of salt). Of course at first when I asked questions the answers and slow and kinda not related. But then I asked what it was, if it had a name. It popped up with a name of a type of demon OUT OF NO WHERE within seconds. Which the app hadn't ever said anything related such as types of spirits or angels.

I also hear light taps or creaks at night (though that could just be outside except I dont live in a house with wood like that but still). And I just feel really really uneasy at night. Incredibly. And besides that I once woke up with a blister on my ankle and i didn't remember ever hurting my ankle the day before. When I wouldve.

Again, i know very well this could be my own issues. Which is why im asking for advice. But it's also hard to talk about with strangers who might not be comfortable with the topic. Because I feel like this is something where more detail is needed but again, tmi. So really I just want to know if there's anything I can do to figure it out, see if there is actually something attached to me. And if so, what do I do? (again, I know this could all be explained by something not paranormal. But I also know it could be. Im not experienced enough in this regard to know which is why im asking here to get more opinions and hopefully people who know more than me.)

So as a whole: making sure you absolutely rule out the mundane is necessary especially if you were being effected physically. you state you know it could be explained by outside issues, have you ruled that out?

as for the very first part: I won't be getting into whether or not blaming your weight fluctuations on spiritual activity is solid, due to weight issues as a whole being fairly triggering for me.

as I mentioned you can always check with something along the lines of a divination or spiritual reading. if you're out comes represent a yes or positive answer for something being attached to you then I would highly suggest cleansing and banishing, should you not want that entity to be around you anymore.

however I will note that demons and demonic activity are not inherently negative and this channel is more so for working with demons not so much getting rid of them.

I feel like if your stacking all of these issues as being overlapping, and then being caused by a spiritual issue then trying to tackle it from a mundane perspective might not be idk how to word it "satisfactory" to helping the anxiety or other negative feelings you have.

So first I would do a reading, the method of divination doesn't really matter so long as you can gain a proper understanding of whether or not something is attached to you. whether that be something more direct like a pendulum or if you need a more in-depth answer maybe tarot could work for that.

then read your answer if it is positive cleanse banish ward your space, if you have anything that you've gotten into your space that is new I would highly suggest cleansing that.

if it's negative then I would highly suggest going to the effort of trying to break down these individual issues into a cause that isn't spiritual based.

I've long had a good working relationship with Astaroth - I'm a graduate student in mathematics, and so I feel like it's natural that I've gravitated towards them. Lately though, some of my thoughts have turned to Stolas as well, and I can't figure out why. Astaroth has given no signs of jealousy, and I'm under the impression that it's common for goetic practitioners to have relationships with multiple entities; but at the same time, I'm unsure exactly of why Stolas in particular has been entering my thoughts. I've been backreading here and it seems like he's very popular amongst this crowd; I was wondering if maybe some of you would have some insight.

(Some background on me - I'm studying for a PhD, but in addition, I'm queer, my main hobbies these days are TTRPGs and punk rock. I'm planning to move apartments in a couple weeks, and picking up some new roommates. I'm a bit stressed about some big exams I have upcoming in about a month. Politically, I'm very left-wing. Religiously, I would describe my practice as broadly goetic, or at least goetia-inspired, or inspired by the broader tradition that goetia is part of; I tend to take a far more equal approach though, and I reject a lot of the ||YHWH||-centrism that is in a lot of classical demonological texts. Plus a bit of tarot. He was a human person, not a demon. But some of the entities that he wrote about don't appear in any other prominent English-language sources (he wrote in French; I'm talking about English translations here).

He had a very famous catalogue that according to various secondary sources (e.g. Mathers) was influential on the Lesser Key of ||Solomon|| (edit: censored because I forgot that most Goetic entities hate him; Astaroth has a very complicated relationship with him if you accept Astaroth/Astarte syncretism), which doesn't have any evidence of having been published before the 1700s.

Hello, I hope this is the place to put this but I want to know if wasps are associated with demons. The wasps where I live are staring to become more active since it's almost cold enough for them to hibernate so this maybe coincidence. I have had some odd interactions with wasps since about two weeks ago where they have made nests above my garden (which I consider my alter) and one in another location has "allowed" me to touch them without them stinging me (I grabbed it cause it flew into my hair) just to name a few. In total, I have seen 6 different instances of wasps making an appearance over two weeks both indoors and outdoors. I looked online and the internet claimed that they are somehow related to demons. Hm so if your planning to work w demons using the solomon methods ill firstly stress: a lot of the demon working community do not promote or suggest doing so, and often stress, not even bringing up solomon when working with demons.

This is because he treated demons very badly and the methods that he used forced them into servitude, rather than a mutually beneficial relationship.

baphomet won't have any information in key of solomon at all due to them being a demon from outside that text, and Azazel is often regarded as an angel rather than a demon.

And additionally, even if your first one did take a very short time, unless you specifically are putting a time frame on when you want results, it's likely that you will be seeing results in different capacities. like, if you did it before a month ago, why do you need it again so quickly? ykwim?

For me, I wait about three months before i've decided that something hasn't worked and try again.

I would also suggest asking the demons themselves about what you may be doing wrong, if anything.

1 - this is i think what he means by having the wrong idea of demon work: you shouldnt "summon" demons. you ask to work with them the same way you do with any other entity. The concept of summoning them largely stems from the works of King Solomon and the Ars Goetia which in large part is criticized by demonologists today due to that summoning being a way to force demons to do things they didnt want to

2 - no this is another thing that you may need to unpack. demons arent evil and they arent going to "fuck you up" simply for not having the correct mindset. this is a concept that can largely stem from you still viewing them through that well "demonized" lens often pushed by non-demon working folks.

3 - this largely depends on each individual practitioner and their relationship to him. it wont be something that is unreasonable like your soul or some shit and is often just your time or offerings in the same way other entity work is

4 - no i do not i do not have the necessary skills needed to do so (namely clairvoyance in that sense)

Yes, it's like a surreal experience to feel because for me it stems from trauma from negative interactions with entities while growing up as a sensitive child.
