Arknights 2.5 Anniversary Discord Event --- Image over Form

Hello, Doctor. I suppose you are packed and ready for a new adventure in the land of Shangshu? Yeah, I know, new stories, adventures, friends, and rewards, bet you don't want to miss any of them. But before that, perhaps it might be worthwhile for you to take a peek at our Discord channel and learn more about Shangshu, a city depicted in paintings and poems. And of course, it is only natural for me to give no more than the basic instructions needed and leave the rest to your creative mind.

Prizes

The Siblings’ Choice: Each member of the three teams (30 players in total) will receive an Arknights 2.5 Anniversary Character Plushie (randomly issued from Nian, Ling, and Dusk).
Lee’s Favor: Two teams (20 players in total) will be randomly selected and each of the team members will receive a $20 gift card.

How to participate
Doctors are required to assemble a team of 10 players and play a full game of 10 rounds on https://garticphone.com/ in NORMAL. The entry for each round of the game should be relevant to Arknights or its elements to be validated during the submission phase. Valid entries include but are not limited to Operators, Enemies, or even those Non-playable Characters in the game.

Team and Recruitment:
Players can register a group or join a registered group to participate in the event.

How to register a group: Use the /group create command in <@&590205905577050134> DMs or #bot-spam to fill out the form for team registration which will ask for your team name as well as whenever the team should be private or not, private teams can only be joined with an invite. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a team ID. Please keep this ID as it will be essential for players to join your team.
How to join a team: Use the /group join ID command in <@&590205905577050134> DMs or in #bot-spam along with the team ID to join an existing team. Please note that each player is limited to registering or joining one team only. To join a private group, you need to ask the group leader to invite you before joining.
How to invite a player to a team: Use the /group invite @user command in <@&590205905577050134> DMs or #bot-spam along with the tag or ID of the player you want to invite to the private group. Please note that this command is only available to private groups and only to the group leader.
How to recruit team members: Players can post their recruitment info in #1002110743111548928 and promote their team in #1002110008563089428 .

All participants in the game must be members of the registered team and their in-game name must match the Discord name (Username#1234). If we find that there are any unregistered substitutes or participants who do not use their Discord ID to play, the submission will be invalidated.
Each game will require 10 players and will be played in standard mode. Any team that violates the rule will have their submissions invalidated.
4. Only the leader of each team has the ability to submit their entry, with a total of three submissions allowed for each team.

Doctah Doctah, its time for your trimestral..... Emote renewal? Thats right! New emote come in, and a lot of them are leaving. Some of them are even being renamed!
Underperforming emotes will be deleted more frequently, which should make adding new emotes faster as well as in a larger volume to give them a higher chance to become one of the server favourites. We all know what BlitzSmile did to the server. Will one of this new emotes take its place? We shall see!

This time around, we wont have a list of the deleted emotes (you will probably not even notice they are gone, lets be honest). But we will have a new list, and thats of the renamed emotes!

Names of this emotes have been changed to make them fall in line with the rest of the emotes, as well as to make them easier to be used->

The CN server has recently announced the next event, Carnival in the Endless Summer, along with other new updates coming to their server. The moderation team has compiled a list regarding restrictions over certain content being posted in any of the public channels apart from select channels.

The following restrictions shall be implemented:

• Posts and discussions of the Carnival in Endless Summer 3D PV are allowed.
• Posts and discussions of the Carnival in Endless Summer Event Trailer are allowed, including but not limited to: Operator Showcases, Skins, and Modules.
• Posts and discussion regarding the new operators associated with the event are allowed. Discussion over any lore relevant information is prohibited, including but not limited to: Operator Introductions, Operator Files, any involvement in the story, etc.
• Posts and discussions of the Carnival in Endless Summer Story are prohibited, including new event CGs, NPCs, and other spoiler content.
• Posts and discussion regarding new enemies are allowed so long as they stay oriented on the gameplay elements. Discussion over any lore relevant information is prohibited.
• Posts and discussion regarding new boss enemies are prohibited. This will be revisited once the event is released and further information can be obtained.
• Posts over new Operator Records are allowed. Posting any story content from them are prohibited.
• Mentioning Episode 11 is allowed. Any discussion or posts regarding Chapter 10 are prohibited, nor are discussions speculating what may occur in the new chapter based on said events.

After some deliberation, we've slightly adjusted the wording of the /flex command to better align with the intent behind the updated Rule #15.

The main change is that individual posts of standard banner pulls are no longer considered flexing during the first 4 days they're up.

Hello everyone! It's been a while since IS#2 arrived on the EN server, and we've used that time to discuss what the best way forward would be for #is-station. Originally, it was meant purely as a help channel for users to give a hand to one another, but over time it's become clear the channel is capable of staying focused on the subject of IS more broadly; with that in mind we've decided to restructure it as a more general channel about the game mode and see whether it maintains that direction.

As part of this change, #is-station has been moved to the General Chats category and has received new channel pinned rules, which you're encouraged to read before engaging in the channel.

We'll continue to monitor the situation and will keep you updated if there are any further changes.

Oh. And don't forget we have 6 hr maintenance at reset. Clear out your base and sanity!

Hello everyone, some of you may have noticed that you are no longer able to join clubs from #586583207533871134 using the /join command because it gives you a Maximum number of channel permission overwrites reached error. Unfortunately due to a unannounced and unplanned Discord API update, there is now a limit on how many people can access the clubs using our traditional system and since all of our clubs exceed that limit no new people can join them.

We have a new club system in the works but it will take a bit until it's implemented, until then the** /join command is disabled**. For the ones already in clubs keep in mind that leaving the club, getting evicted or leaving the server will also make it impossible to rejoin the club.
Stay tuned for future updates regarding the clubs and its accompanying system.

Hello Doctors,

Our long awaited Arknights: Prelude to Dawn anime is less than 24 hours away from premiering, for the duration of the anime airing period we will be having the #ak-anime channel that will allow viewers of the anime to talk about the content of the show as well as the latest episode. Keep in mind that the channel has a 24 hour spoiler rule that is put in place in order to allow everyone to watch the latest episode before joining the discussions.

Some the most asked questions we had around the server were:
1. What platforms will the anime be available on?

3. Are we allowed to share fan subs/dubs of the anime?
Unless given explicit permission by Yostar Pictures and Hypergryph it is not allowed for unlicensed works to be distributed on the official server.

Hello doctors,

As some may have noticed already we had some channels move around the server, these changes are part of our process of retiring the club system and instead using the Discord "Browse Channels" feature. With this new feature you can opt-in or out of channels at your own discretion, you can still access those channels by either using the channel mention in a message, for example #server-news, by being mentioned in that channel or by enabling it from the "Browse Channels" option at the top of the channel list.

As a result of a new unexpected restriction from Discord on private channels the old club system is no longer feasible to be used and as such the decision was taken to open up all the clubs for everyone to access. The clubs are all opt-in as before but not restricted through the bot or a role. They also have been moved around to better fit in the proper categories.

For those that do not know how to access the "Browse Channels" option we have a short guide on how to access it courtesy of @dreamy basalt.

We have decided to enable the AutoMod to block specific words and phrases that have been deemed unacceptable within the community such as, but not limited to, racial slurs, discriminatory insults and other similar terms. This word list is subject to change. Attempts to bypass these blocks will be met with severe punishments.

If you think there is are other words or phases you deem inappropriate or straight up toxic you can always report them to the moderation team or in #discord-feedback.

The image limit rules have also been updated for the relevant channels in light of the new Discord attachment QoL change which allows grouping of multiple images.

A small heads up as we are slowly approaching the infamous Winter 2019, soon the rules in #welcome-old will be updated as well as the pins to inform users that this server is only for Arknights EN content. Content from other regions will be removed unless it's guides that are not region specific (such as using units that are only available to one region but not the other) as well as #friend-id will only allow for EN usernames.

Also all story spoilers from the other regions should be encased as such ||spoiler text|| to avoid spoiling users that don't play the other regions, this will result in punishments if ignored.

There will be a everyone ping once the changes go live. Stay tuned!

Effective immediately the server is going into EN only mode as well as opening its clubs that you can check out over in #586583207533871134. As part of this change all CN specific talk should go into the #cn-lounge club that will last for approx. 1-2 weeks. #arknights will be now focused mostly on the upcoming CBT and the general Arknights talk. #help as well as #friend-id will be locked down till CBT and release respectively. Please understand that while we allowed CN content up until now we're a Arknights EN official server after all so now that the CBT is in sight we're returning to our roots.

We did some changes to the rules related to trophy/salt and flexing as well as CN content, first of all we added a new rule 16 to the list that covers intentional flexing as well as adding a addendum to rule 15 where #help is exempt from the rule as long as it doesn't break other rules so be careful.

As for CN content, we will temporarily allow posting content from all servers as long as it does not contain lore spoilers (content that is available in EN is no longer considered spoiler). If people will be mindful and follow the rules it may be a permanent change.

Now for a bit of leeks, there might be another Q&A in the future so, as always, StayTuned

As some have already noticed we decided to change the structure of the channels a bit.
As such #help and #faq have been moved into their own category from General chats as well as #strategy being moved from the position of a club to a public channel along inside the new help category, #tech-support has also been added to the same category for ease of access.
Another change is that the former #chernobog has now been rebuild into #reunion-hq for all you resistance fighters, rejoice!

The #faq channel will be rewritten soon to include more up to date questions and answers so StayTuned for that.

We have changed the process of appealing punishments, from now on they'll be handled on the dashboard https://dashboard.arknights.moe/
You will have 48 hours from the moment you got punished to appeal a punishment by navigating to the dashboard and filling out the form with your reasoning and necessary proof. After which the Admins will check your appeal and provide a verdict. DMing staff members about it will not expedite the process.

Hi everyone, now that Twilight of Wolumonde is out for 2 days we have decided to make some changes to the spoiler rule:

W's status as a (limited) operator, along with her E2 art and skills, will NO LONGER be a spoiler.
W's purchasable skin and any lore about her, including but not limited to why she became an operator, will STILL be a spoiler, due to correlation with the Darknights Memoir and Chapter 7.
Mudrock's and Rosmontis's status as operators, along with their gender and E2 art, will NO LONGER be a spoiler.
Mudrock's and Rosmontis's lore will STILL be a spoiler; Rosmontis' lore correlates with Chapter 7, and Mudrock in a future event.
ALL chapter 8 lore and in-game mechanics will STILL be a spoiler.

Along with any content from Twilight of Wolumonde itself are no longer considered spoilers.

Starting from today there will be some major changes made in regards to the rules in the #help channel. There will be a strict, zero-tolerance policy implemented for off-topic messages, irrelevant discussions as well as for inappropriate and non-helpful responses given to users within the channel. The in-channel pinned rules will also be updated to reflect these changes. If inappropriate behaviour persists after these changes have been made, then the users involved may have their access revoked permanently from the #help channel.

This decision was taken with a heavy heart but after statistically checking the responses that were received so far regarding all the previously posted event-guides, I've decided to discontinue future write-ups on upcoming events. However, the channel won't be deleted; I am still here to help community members post helpful content in that channel! If you believe you may have good potential resources created by you or by any other community member(s) which you would like to see posted in that channel then please let me know via DM and I would be more than happy to oblige by formatting, reviewing and posting everything on your behalf! Some of you may know, others not, but I am applying a new approach towards adding and deleting emotes for the server, and I will be analysing the community approval towards it. Instead of adding and removing emotes on a 1 on 1 basis, I will be approaching it on a monthly basis, in which all emote suggestions will be considered and at the end of the month, like it is now, some emotes will go, and others will come. I will be posting the emotes that go and come following this post (as I need them to still be alive before nuking them so you can both save them if you want, and see them in full to see which ones come and go).

Hello doctors,

Following the recent content announcements for EN and JP servers via social media and livesteam, there are some upcoming changes related to the spoiler rule, namely the removal of Guard Amiya from the spoiler unit list since it was already revealed, but do keep in mind that all Chapter 8 lore and lore-related content is still forbidden until after 48 hours pass since the release of said Chapter, this includes the origin of Guard Amiya. Game mechanics that do not involve the lore in any way shape or form are still allowed as usual.

Hello fellow weebs

I am once again removing emotes that all of you love and replacing them for useless ones. Wait, I think this went the other way round.... Anyways!
From now on I will be changing, once again, the approach, and extend the submissions in time. This is due to how the stat system works for emotes. This will help me give new emotes more time to see their performance, and for more good emotes that may become new community favorites to flourish, alongside the possibility to add emotes between cycles. I currently plan to do this every 2-3 months, but we will see how it works out!
Anyways, what you all have been waiting for. The class emotes have been all revamped to work better with white theme users ( try not burning your retina ) by @severe mica. You may thank him.

New emotes! Mostly animated ones this time around, alongside some new stickers, behold! The plan to add new emotes just when there are enough outstanding and under performing emotes is still on the run, which is why most of the new emotes are gifs (sorry to the no-nitro gang. I feel you). Three new normal emotes have been added alongside all of the rest as a very small batch of normal emotes to substitute three very under performing emotes. If your suggested emote hasn't been added this time around, don't worry too much because the new cycle is mostly every 2-3 months, and this is a bit more of a out-of-date batch Winklash

As you may all know by now, the new Chapter 9 PV for the CN server has just dropped, and with that there will be some adjustments on what can be discussed in regards to what has been presented.

All skins showcased in the PV is free for discussion, however, the new operator(s) as well as all cutscenes from the PV will fall under rule 18 in #welcome-old for spoiler content.

The moderation team will sort out the what will be allowed for discussion within the upcoming week as we obtain more information regarding the lore, and will keep you updated when these decisions are made. In the meantime please comply and cooperate with the moderation team.

Memories scattered across the vast Terra as Doctors and Operators left their trails in the battles against Oripathy and injustice, preserved as one frame and another inside our hearts. This time, we have our great artist, Dusk, to thank for lending her unfathomable brush, allowing us to revive those moments from the past 2 years. Come to learn your 'lesson' on Discord and see if you can name them all!

How to Participate:
2. The Draw & Guess event will be held in the #930370840959270932 channel in the 2ND ANNIVERSARY EVENTS category.

By entering the mentioned channel during the event period, doctors will be automatically validated as participants.
The event will be held for 15 rounds. For each round, Yostar staff will start drawing once the round starts and hint at the length and category of the answer. Participants can give out their answers in the event channel in the form of:
/akdraw <answer> (For example: /akdraw Arknights)
The first participant to give out the correct answer will be awarded the "Kal'tsitist" reward (one for each of 15 rounds). Moreover, there will be 10 "Myrtle's Favored" rewards awarded at random every 3 rounds, making them 50 in total.

I. Guesses are case-insensitive. However, please make sure that space(s) and special character(s) within the guesses match those of the in-game terms to win the round

II. Each participant can take AT MOST 5 GUESSES each round. After a participant’s chances run out, their further guesses will not be received or recorded by the system until the round ends

III. Once a participant’s guess is received and verified as the correct answer, their further guesses will not be received or recorded by the system until the round ends

IV. The guesses are deleted by the bot to reduce clutter but due to Discord limitations this action may be delayed but the guesses will be recorded by the system if the command is used.

First of all, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all the players who have participated in this event, it is upon your joint efforts and unquenchable passion that we've together built our discord community. However, just as the landship can get caught by a catastrophe out of blue sometimes, the unforeseeable may as well be naughty enough to play its trick during our party.

Have you ever imagined inviting the characters from Arknights to our real world? What kind of waves are they going to make once they are set unbound by the screen? Join with us in "Arknights X Real World" on Discord and set up your stages for the Operators to shine!

How to Participate:

Works must be submitted by using the “/submit” command in Shaw DMs @dusk cargo, and follow Shaw's instructions as below:
I. Upload the image/video/GIF (less than 10MB) and as a Discord attachment, NOT as a link
II. Submit your submission title
III. Submit your in-game UID (the number displayed under your in-game name on the main screen)

Submissions shall combine the elements from the game with those in the real world within an image (animated/still) or a short video. Valid submissions include but are not limited to:

Print the elements from Arknights and take a photo of it with the surroundings in your real life.
Retouch a real photo with the elements from Arknights(such as Characters or Items)
Take a photo of an item in real life with elements from Arknights (such as game merch).
Make a short video of interaction between elements from Arknights with real life environment
Doodle on a real photo with elements from Arknights.

Once your work is submitted, there will be a review process (3 working days at most). If your submission does not meet the requirements above or violates the rules, it will not pass the review. You will receive a notification message from Shaw via Discord DM. If it passes the review, you will receive a message from Shaw via DMs and displayed in #930370420417388574. Please enable the DM on Discord to ensure that you will not miss the notification.

After all the works are submitted, 10 "Scene's Approval" will be awarded to excellent pieces. Besides that 20 "Myrtle's Favored" will be awarded randomly to valid works.

Arknights Valentine's Day and White Day Event

Valentine's Day, White Day, all the lovers’ day. Have you ever thought of the possibility that in the world of Terra there also exist two “beings” who wish to see their lovers spark ignited?
No, I’m talking about the “beings” which are more than those operators, so you don’t have to look for your Lappland plush right now. Just put up a stage in your mind where your Sanity and Top Emergency Sanity Potion are having a date. Definitely the most moving (and insane) scene I've ever seen. Or let this come to your mind: A candle dinner where Bipolar Nanoflake and Polymerization Preparation sit opposite each other. Now that’s what I call a “Chemical Reaction.” And our poor Water Boiler will have to whistle with its boiling heart for another year to wait for true love to arrive.
Join in the event and help those in-game elements (Operators included, jokes aside) find their true loves!

How to Participate:
Doctors who wish to submit their works can send a direct message of /submit to @dusk cargo, our beloved community bot. After that, she will instruct you how to proceed with your submission.

With the recent release of the new Chapter 10 PV for the CN server the moderation team will sort out what will be allowed for discussion within the following week as we gather more information concerning the lore, and will keep you all updated with these decisions once made.

All skins showcased in the PV are free for discussion, however, the new operators aswell as the cutscenes from the PV will fall under rule #18 in #welcome-old for spoiler content. If you wish to discuss this content then please go to the appropriate channels of #ak-lore or #cn-lounge.

In the meantime please comply and cooperate with the moderation team until we can make a final decision on permissible content. Thanks!

The moderation team has decided to update you all on some adjustments for the spoiler rules revolving Chapter 10 going forward.

• Discussion of the new operators is allowed from a gameplay perspective—their kits and existence as operators.
