Hi @shadow anchor I meant the procedure for for adding stream deck button as a hotkey.

I tried to add hotkey on stream deck then when I choose the button for example Ctrl + s then I go to OBS hotkey menu and choose the action then I press stream deck button assigned earlier it doesn’t register anything in OBS hotkey menu!!!

Set a stream deck button to a hotkey. In OBS, do not use the stream deck button, but assign the same hotkey you assigned in the stream deck button. Also, if you are running OBS as administrator, hotkeys from a normal user may not work at all.

Quick question - I took my key light and my key light air into the field with me for a shoot, and now that they are not attached to my home Wi-Fi network, I’m having a really hard time getting them to set up using the Control Center app on iOS. I’ve tried resetting but that hasn’t really helped. There is no Wi-Fi available on site. Anyone have some quick steps to let me be able to turn on both of these lights at full power? The current behavior is it powers on at full power, then goes to a much dimmer warmer light afterwards.

Soo something weird's happened

I'm suddenly getting zero output in WL through my speakers

Headphones plugged into my wave:3 work fine, but changing it to my speakers out of the blue just gives no audio

alright, this is my last try. so I have an HD60S, I have it connected up to my switch and it works perfectly fine.

up until it doesn't for about 4 seconds. it gives me no signal while I'm playing games, and then it comes back fully functioning. mid match in Splatoon it is NOT fun.

Drivers are updated, I've turned off the power thing to my USB3 ports, I'm have a triple monitor set up, and I've updated my graphics drivers, also turned off HDCP on all monitors.

So far it seems to ONLY HAPPEN, when I'm streaming the 4k capture utility on discord. if I'm not streaming it, the 4 second cut off doesn't happen. if I'm playing normally, no 4k capture utility, it also doesn't happen.

Does anyone have any idea on ways to fix this, cause I have LOOKED.

Hi everyone, i got an issue while i try to record using Streamlabs OBS, can someone help me please ? For some reason it started to make some echo, but made on the game apparently, my mic doesnt seem to be touched, i dont get why, since i add a camera i have done two different let's play, Callisto and GoW Ragnarok, no echo on Callisto, but Gow R is full of echo constantly, i dont change anything to the settings between the two except the size and the location of where my camera appear on the screen, doest someone have an idea please ??

Hey @eager swan 👋 The cable should be one capable of data and charging. Some cables are only charging, so that is something to look out for.

I can’t confirm, but I would suspect that is normal; if the USB cable is power-only, the device will be able to passthrough, i.e. the signal will go to the monitor.

Hey! I'm having an issue with my stream deck plus that I cant fix. I have some dials for wave link input actions and they all work correctly, But I also have a Manual Detection - Volume Controller dial which is set to system (controlling the speaker output volume). It worked until earlier this week but now it always shows a red x and a random percentage. The dial does nothing. I've tried updating to the latest steam deck software but the issue continues.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could fix it?

I have a weird sound and black screen issue with my MK 2 when playing PS5 games. The issue is currently happening with Hogwarts Legacy and with God of War.

From time to time the screen keeps turning off for a few seconds and on again but it only happens on my Game monitor as the recording is all good. Although the big issue is that sometimes the audio does not recover after that screen glitch and I end up with a broken game audio the rest of the video. Video example attached as a link:

Also I am unable to run the game in certain settings such as Performance as the screen is all black and does not turn back on. It only works on Fidelity. May it be an FPS issue?? How to fix it?

If I play the game connected directly to the monitor and without MK 2 I have no problem. The game runs as it should.

Playing on PS5, everything is going fine but having a bit of an issue with the Chat Link Pro:

Specifically, it isn't a problem with my mic. I tested it and it's fine without the Chat Link Pro, it's fine when I test it on the PS5 input-

But when I'm using it with party chat it just is sending my friend's voice back to them in party chat (echo).

It's a very annoying thing for my friend.

Anyone else notice that the newest version of the SD app is just really slow?

It takes a while to be reliably responsive after launching (guess that has to do with the changes made to the animated images thing), and then it also seems that opening the add-on store is also really slow. Sometimes the app gets put in the "not responding" mode by Windows.

So not sure if there is a good bug report area but got a new issue with the Stream deck Plus.

The touch screen has a fun little issue where when I tap on it, it will register a tap in the previous location I tapped it.

Example using audio controls:
From on:

1. Tap left most side > nothing
2. Tap it again > left mutes
3. Tap right most side > Left unmutes
4. Tap right again > Right mutes
5. Tap left > Right unmutes

So I figured out this by running voicemeter (my guitar is connected to the scarlett 2i2 and setup in voicemeter), and then routing this audio to the stream mix. Is there an option for a third output / mixing option? If i were to record something (both voice and guitar) but I dont want it to be picked up by discord, meaning i dont want others to hear

Yes, same. I've had this issue since the 11th, but searching back on the discord people have had the issue since at least the 24th January when @limber ether posted about it. But now I'm scrolling back and seeing @exotic folio 's post about it from the 8th. Wow, so this is not a small or very recent bug here. I've found no solution myself. I've written Elgato support, so I'd recommend you do the same if you haven't yet. Hopefully if enough people flag it it'll be looked into. It's very irritating in the meantime.

Ah here's the solution for the Control Center not reinstalling!
You need to:

1. Close Stream Deck
2. Go to %APPDATA%\Elgato\StreamDeck
3. Delete cache.db (or rename if you're worried)
4. Go into Plugins
5. Delete the folder com.elgato.controlcenter.sdPlugin
6. Restart Stream Deck
7. Reinstall Control Center now.
   Worked for me!

I have a question about my setup. I have my wave:3 set up on a desk with my laptop on it, it usually sounds fine but whenever the fans get a bit louder, theres a discernable static that happens when i talk. Would the solution just be to get a boom arm and keep it further away?

Hello, I'm trying to use my facecam, but when I open the app it's a white screen frozen and says "(not responding)" and i have to force close it,but the same thing happens over and over. I like to close the program out completely before I restart it. It's like when you have the Wave Link update and you leave your wave 3 plugged in. Hopefully it'll work if not you can always go back to a previous firmware version

Hello there, Question. Since a few weeks i get Random Noise Cracks with the Ingame Sound. Its starts slowly,then intensifies untill i cant hear anything.
Tested it with my Focusrite Solo and my GoXLR Mini as the Audio Interface.
I am using the StreamDeck+ to Route everything. Trying Uninstall and Reinstall all the Drivers. Nothing changed.

Okay so had a scare today when my PC crashed due to a driver. Ran a check and found that my 4K60 Capture Card Internal was causing it when the 4K Capture Utility needs an update. The Utility was set to auto update and whenever it tries to, it seems to happen. I've turned off auto-updates, but how should I go about fixing it so it can auto-update and NOT crash?

My stream deck is very laggy/does not update icons well. When I press something it can take up to 5+ seconds to activate. Going into a folder is the same and half the icons dont even update. What would be the best way with Sound Deck to record and playback a short clip from my mic, so I can setup my VST's?
Depending on whether the audio has happened, or about to happen, you have a few options.

A. Sampler - Press and hold to record the audio, and then press again to playback. You can clear the sample using the “Clear Sampler” action.
B. Clip Audio - This records (clips) the last X seconds of audio. You can then use the “Play Audio” action to playback the clip.
C. Record - Press to start recording, and then again to stop. This will create an audio file which can then be played back using the “Play Audio” action.

hey all, been having issues with streaming (i use OBS), I also have a HD60 X as I have a Xbox Series X, however I've noticed i've been having game audio delay, I have looked everywhere on YouTube and nothing has helped fixed this issue. everything depends on the OS. The QT engine that runs the stream deck software, the fonts are controlled by the OS, etc.

Again, bug fixes are not prioritized by how outraged one person is. This is not a severe bug. I am sure it is in the queue. But more severe issues will always get prioritized first.

It's possible using a multiaction that uses hotkey actions inside. Just add the same actions in the same order you would by navigating with the keyboard. Also, you will want to install Barraider's Super Macro plugin as well.

I have a question. I was having issues getting the Elgato HD60X to with my OBS Live. It would show the visuals fine, but the audio was kind of choppy here and there. My laptop is from 2016, but the console I was capturing is a PS5. Any idea how to fix this? I did follow the steps on Elgato's site and that didn't change anything at all with the issue

Sadly the Spotify API is rather troublesome (it’s a long story for another time). IIRC, to circumvent the API, the Mac version utilises AppleScript, which isn’t available for Windows.

Question: I'm setting up my new XL and I found the Sci-Fi Stream Deck Icons. I'm setting up switching between scenes with Gif Icons and the first two when you switch off the scene to another scene they would deactivate and the gif would fade. It looks really nice. I'm trying to do a third the same way and now it's not working. I can seem to understand or find the way to make it happen. It looks like the stream deck was automatically doing it and now it's not.

I currently own a pretty old capture card (Probably 10 years old, actually has a A/V cable port still). I've used it for recording videos, and now I'm using it for live streaming.

It has honestly been pretty great, but the one issue I have is the capture card capturing gamechat audio on Xbox.

On some games it works fine. It'll pick up proximity chat and party chat. This is because both party chat and proximity chat can be changed to come out as TV volume, which allows the Elgato to pick it up.

However, gamechat just doesn't seem to work this way. The Chat Link cable won't even work on my Elgato because it appears to be missing the ports required for it.

Does anyone know of any work arounds that I can use?

I recorded 2 hours of gameplay using my HD60 S with my buddies last night on a hunting game. I was having issues with the elgato software so I used OBS to record for the night. I was about to start editing it and I realized I double recorded my own voice audio. I absolutely hate it! I sound like a robot in this entire video.

Does anyone know a way how to fix or reduce this voice sound? Its all one audio source, so I can't separate it from the game or party chat sound.

ah ok. I've had mine connected to goxlr and swapped to wave xlr. noticed no difference. You must have a nice sound card. Sorry, if you put it there then yes, the sound is leaving the pc before it hits the wave processing, so you are likely bypassing any sound fx, eq, etc. You would hear default output in headphones, and if you routed audio from wave link to obs or other software, you would hear eq, etc, in a video or recording. monitoring will be controlled separately.

Yeah I figured that out the hard way. I really like the dimming effect but the system just messes up sometimes. The best solution I've found is closing the application and re opening then it seems to work.

I bought a HD60 S+ quite a few years ago, but I've never managed to actually get it working...

When I set my Nintendo Switch video output to 1080p, I get stuttery audio and about 2 fps on the 4k capture utility.
When I set my Nintendo Switch video output to 720p, I get NO audio but I get almost flawless footage.

I have a gtx 1080GPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, and an Intel I7 7700k CPU, so I know it's not my PC hardware that is the issue.
I have both overclocked and underclocked the 3 above mentioned pieces of hardware, and it has made no difference.

I've tried using a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable, and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A, through 5 different USB Type-A 3.1 ports and a USB Type-C 3.1 port. So the cables and the ports are not the issue.

I have done a completely fresh install of Windows 10
I have installed the 4k Capture Utility on 3 different HHDs, 2 different SSDs and one NVME drive. With no difference in quality.

My Nintendo Switch is fully updated, My Nintendo Switch Dock is fully updated, My elgato software is fully updated, my GPU Drivers are fully updated.

Edit: Meh, I thew it in the trash and bought an avermedia 4k and it works flawlessly.

I check to make sure both my pc audio and discord, as well as the audio/desktop audio is the same device, for me this is a headset with a mic, normally desktop audio does fine as it picks up volume from the whole schebang, but I occasionally put in a separate audio source for when I do applications (a game), as obs has audio and visual sources seperate from desktop as well. I mostly do this when I use obs to record switch gameplay, but I currently am having an issue where the obs screen is just black, switch isn't being picked up for some reason lmaoo

Normally desktop audio for me includes discord as well, it gets picked up without doubling.

I got a HD60S a few years back and I'm just now taking it out of the box. I set it up properly to my switch and a USB 3 port and got a white light flash when I plugged it in. I can't for the life of me get any software to acknowledge its existence tho. It works just fine if I just use my monitor as a tv but I wanna actually use it in windows. I've swapped cables around and done the power thing for my USB drivers but zero luck.

Also my switch will turn off after being idle and powering it back off causes the signal lost lights.

Key Light Mini: I've got two mini's on connected via power cable and set to NOT use battery in the Elgato Control Center. I stream 4 days a week and I swear every single time I prep for stream, one of the two minis does not turn on. It's never consistent and switches randomly between the two. The only fix I've found is unplugging the non-working light's USB cable, then plug it back in. Wait 10-20 seconds and then Control Center picks it up again and it's back to working as usual. I never have to set anything in Control center during this process. It's highly annoying and I don't know if anyone else has this issue. Also of note, my Control Center is up-to-date and I've been having this issue for months on end regardless of Control Center or key light firmware version.

Hi! I recently ordered my MK.2 Stream Deck and I noticed that all of my applications Chrome, Outlook, File Explorer and others that are opened in foreground stutters like if I resize the Window or switch between Chrome tabs, it's got a bad delay and this only happens if I'm using Stream Deck.

At first, I tried to narrow it down if it got something to do with a plugin but issue persist unless I quit Stream Deck in task bar. I would appreciate if anyone has an idea about it, thank you!

I found that this only happens on my work windows account where I need to open 2 chrome profiles with a bunch of chrome tabs and an outlook app versus my personal windows account where I only do casual stuff. Still not sure how Stream Deck would affect PC performance, I will investigate more of it later.

I use a 4x2 HDMI matrix with my HD60S+ several times a week and it works fine. It sometimes freezes in OBS though when I switch sources, so I have to deactivate the source in OBS real quick then reactivate so it syncs up again.

I've seen 20 yt vids that say, change this setting, then change it back. None work. Why does this device have this issue? Hoping this is the right place to ask this. I've got two pc's set up to dual pc stream, using an HD60 X, however my issue is when I clone my display in nvidia control panel, my framerate in game drops to around 150ish. I have checked nvidia control panel to make sure my framerates are set correctly on my monitors (main monitor 170hz, second monitor 144hz, stream pc monitor 60hz, all 1440p). I would expect a bit of a performance hit by essentially playing a game on two monitors at the same time, however, my gpu usage has dropped to around 60%, when it usually will sit closer to 100% and ill be around 260fps or so in game. Any thoughts as to why my gpu usage would be stunted like that?

I've had this problem with the stream deck app opening a browser window for months now. The solution presented does not work, I've tried it multiple times... Plus uninstalling and reinstalling the stream deck app itself. It still persists.

Interestingly, only Twitter is causing this.
I just tried removing all accounts from the Streamdeck app, and then re-adding (just Twitter and Twitch, to test)

Twitch, no problem.

Twitter, still shows the stupid browser popup everytime.

This is the order of what I did:

• Reboot PC
• Re-add accounts
• Reboot PC

Hey @daring moth 👋 This may be a long shot, but have you tried removing Stream Deck from Twitter too? i.e. the reverse way.

1. Open up the Twitter app.
2. Go “Settings and Privacy”.
3. Select “Security and account access”.
4. Select “Apps and sessions”.
5. Select “Connected apps”.
6. Select “Elgato Stream Deck”.
7. Revoke access permission.

After doing this, it may also be worth removing the linked accounts from Stream Deck, and restarting your PC too.🤞

Evening folks. I have an odd setup I'm trying to work-out.

I've purchased a Mac M2, managed to get the stream visible so that I can stream it to Discord via Quicktime, as OBS was giving a black screen.

Only issue with Quicktime is it feedsback the audio, unlike OBS.0

Hey There. I have an HD60S that I've had for roughly 4 years. It has been unplugged since October 2022. I wanted to pick up streaming on my Nintendo Switch, so I plugged everything in. The Elgato 4k Capture Software picked up a source, but it was just a black screen. I double checked I had everything and restarted the software. Still a black screen.. Hey guys! I am using the elgato hd 60 s + on my dual streaming PC setup. I can capture the screen of my gaming PC easily an everything works fine. But if i start the game (warzone 2) the captured screen of my gaming PC freezes in OBS studio and it is going green.

The capture card ist conected to the streaming pc via external USB hub 3.0. Is that the problem?

Or must i change the ingame settings to max. 60 fps ?

Hi guys! My stream deck is acting up and I can't find a solution. I noticed my deck seemed to be off so I pressed one of the buttons on it to wake it. When I did that it flashed with all my normal display but I couldn't use any of them as it was just constantly flashing when I pressed anything. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and then it started flashing random images and nothing is working at all. My stream deck desktop app is still displaying what my display should be, but the stream deck seems to have a mind of its own. I also have a video to show and am happy to DM anyone the video or anything else that could help. Thank you in advance!

I bought EpocCam, and I am trying to connect it. Over Wi-Fi it doesn't connect at all. Over USB it connects at first but there's no preview and no matter what I do it disconnects after a few seconds and doesn't connect back. I found some support articles that say to restart the EpocCam service, but there is no service called "EpocCamService"

I tried connecting 2 devices so I could see if device switching worked, but it just crashed

Hey everyone,

So I have a dual PC setup with my gaming PC going into my capture rig with a 4k60pro mk2. Capturing and playing at 4k60. I'm having an issue where the framerate in OBS is choppy/stuttery unless I open 4k capture utility. For some reason, opening 4k capture utility makes the framerate in obs super smooth, but it means I need to have obs and capture utility open at the same time in order to use obs without frame drops, so I've just been recording using capture utility. This doesn't help me for live streams though where I need obs.

I've seen someone else with this exact issue too and we can't work out why it's happening. Any ideas?

Hello guys, today I bought Epoc Camera Pro to use my iPhone 12 as a webcam on my Desktop PC but there's an issue with the microphone on Skype. Whenever I start a video call, the microphone is not working while the camera is on, once I turn the camera off and disable/enable the mic again, the mic works but the sound is very low.
I tried with web version of Skype (on Chrome) and it works flawlessly and the mic volume is normal.

Hoping this is the right place to ask this. I've got two pc's set up to dual pc stream, using an HD60 X, however my issue is when I clone my display in nvidia control panel, my framerate in game drops to around 150ish. I have checked nvidia control panel to make sure my framerates are set correctly on my monitors (main monitor 170hz, second monitor 144hz, stream pc monitor 60hz, all 1440p). I would expect a bit of a performance hit by essentially playing a game on two monitors at the same time, however, my gpu usage has dropped to around 60%, when it usually will sit closer to 100% and ill be around 260fps or so in game. I'm wondering how to mount the Stream Deck (original version) to an 80/20 aluminum sim racing set. I was looking at the elgato wall mount: https://www.elgato.com/en/wall-mount
Then I would need a bracket or something. Would the elgato phone holder work? https://www.elgato.com/nl/phone-grip

Hey guys, hope y'all are having a great day.
I have a problem with my Wave XLR. I'm using a Shure SM7B and idk why but there is some kind of electronic noise in the background. It sounds like a hum or something. I already tried cutting it off with an EQ but that didnt work. Does anyone know how to fix this or if it is a common issue?

I use the manual detection for the Volume Control plugin because I don't need a list of apps, just the one. However, when I do this, it just continually adds Firefox over and over. I'm now currently up to 7 and every time I open FF and the deck software I have to update it. Is there a way around this?

Hey @celest yoke 👋 It sounds like there's electrical interference; is the XLR cable near something that has a high voltage, e.g. the computer's PSU, extension lead, or a power cable?

hello everyone! i wanted to ask for some help with my WAVE:3 mic.

i bought this mic for the clip guard feature hoping it would reduce the amount of clipping i experience when my volume increases suddenly (specifically when laughing). so far it doesn't seem to be working.

are there are preliminary troubleshooting steps i should try? i assume something is up with my setup. i can provide more detail on that if needed.

I keep encountering a bug where I infrequently stub my toe on my Elgato Green Screen. Anyone else encounter this issue or is it just me?

@stray pelican I think some people have found success with that, but through custom software and more limited functionality. A lot of it is over my head, but it does seem like it is at least possible.
