I’m not sure if those problems were caused by bad settings on their side or if the setup just isn’t powerful enough. That’s why I’m hesitating. Do you think those issues are still a thing nowadays?

People having issues with mics are just bad settings, positioning or roomnoise

all can be solved

the XLR Dock will also give you access to Voice Focus, that removes backgroundnoise and such

I'm also using the SD+XLR Dock, but with the Wave DX mic, functionally the same but cheaper than SM7B

It'll be fine. XLR intefaces have been around longer than I have. It's an analog interface, as long as the interface has enough gain for the mic (which Wave XLR does), it'll be good.
SM7B is pretty common for use on Wave XLR, since Wave XLR offers up to 75 dB gain

Hi, does anyone have 4K X and record 4K 120FPS or higher?

I connected it to USB-C 3.2 20Gbps port and the system identifies connection as operating at SuperSpeedPlus or higher

but I can only record max 1440p 120FPS or 4K 60FPS in OBS

even though my source is 4K 120FPS as well as the output

I also tried modifying all settings and still can't get 4K 120FPS recording, it'll automatically goes to 60FPS in OBS.

Are you setting up a capture card setup for dual PC?

If so that's a question for #capture-cards

But if you're cloning/duplicating the screen make sure you're doing it in the right order too - clone the screen to the card, not the card to the screen, or you'll get capped at the max refresh of the card

I would try this:

1. Reboot your PC.
2. Download a fresh CameraHub installer.
3. Run the CameraHub installer as administrator. Don't uninstall first. Just let it install over the existing installation.
4. Once the install is finished, reboot your PC again and then see how it goes.

I think it's more for verification, the courier can't give out details unless you can verify you're the sender or shipper for security reasons. Unless it was shipped to a specific account holder, usually they need to verify the info by the account sender so Elgato would have to be the ones to reach out to UPS for the udpate.

But yeah, reach out to the official support number or send a ticket through that link, the'll follow up with a logistics team, who'll follow up with UPS for you if needed.

Sorry you’re having trouble with shipping, but we aren’t ups, we aren’t Elgato sales support, nor do we know anything about your particular address or drop off situation.
From where I sit, it sounds like you have some kind of drop off point instead of a front door, or something. But that seems like an ups mistake not an Elgato problem since it was out of their hands and into ups’s…but we really can’t speak to that because we don’t know what goes on.
If I couldn’t take packages at my door I would probably have an ups account and set it to hold all mine at the distro center until I came to pick them up.

If ups says it was picked up then they should be able to generate proof, is how I see it from here.

But it’s not something we can help with.

If the UPS tracking number says it’s delivered then it’s a UPS issue. Stay on them until they get you a package or tell you where to pick it up.

UPS does work fine for me. Any many others worldwide.

It is good to have an account from the elgato webpage/store when buying physical products like stream decks or mics etc. This is so that it is easier to pull up order information if anything is wrong with the product or you need tracking info or just a purchase history paper trail. I am not sure if they allow checkout as guest (aka no account) but in my opinion it would be good to have one. just so there is no room for ambiguity if there are any issues

I'm assuming that Elgato won't speak about upcoming products here, but I am going to go out on a hunch and guess that eventually the Mic Arm MK.2 will come out in at least white if not other colors as well. I don't understand why products aren't launched in both white and black as standard when it seems that white always comes into the mix. It makes me hesitant to buy anything new that comes out because it always comes out in white.

You’re correct, they cannot comment on any future products or their roadmap. But if you need something now versus, waiting for a color variant, get what you need. But if you’ve seen trends and you’re hopeful, and you wanna wait, then I would advise waiting. But there’s no guarantee that they will.

Don’t get me wrong, white set ups are freaking awesome. Because you can do so much with the colors when you have a lighting profile going on against it. But all my gear is in black, so replacing it would be financially draining for me. So everything for me is in black.

Hey can someone help me real quick? I’m trying to set up my Elgato 4k S to stream on my Ps5, I’m using my 2024 24inch iMac Desktop for the webcam etc and using a monitor for my ps5. My problem is when I go live no one can hear my game audio unless I turn my iMac speakers up real loud so it isn’t capturing my game audio or something

If you just have the one, click into the Settings and then go to the Profiles tab. From there, select the profile and then hit Export. I usually like to save mine on my desktop and then you can email it to yourself so you have it before you reinstall

Export lets you save it as a .StreamDeckProfile

i slowly ask myself who at elgato thought it would be nice to switch from nice clean white icons to ugly colored ones that you cant even see what it shows i thought on the wave link 3.0 beta was just a place holder but they really become that ugly and i wonder why ?

I kind of like the new ones myself. The old ones were very old. You could always download the old copy and extract the icons from it with something like 7Zip for it for your shortcuts

its not just the shortcuts its also my taskbar i loved the milimalsitic and professional design now it almost looks like its made for kids

You can kind of cheese that and loda the old icons back into the exe with 7zip iirc as well, so it gets uses for things like the system tray

But yeah, not everyone is a fan of the more modern styling

Just over five years, my Stream Deck Mk1 has bugged out on me, the bottom row is no longer responsive. The screens still work, but they're unresponsive to presses.
Fortunately this happened at a time when the new Stream Deck mobile is out for me to make a hot swap.
Unfortunately, this happened after Black Friday Cyber Monday. T^T
Taking a moment to think about how I started streaming because I had bought a Stream Deck, ironically not the other way around. Thinking about how my first stream was literally setting up the StreamDeck and learning about batch files.
Thinking about how this Mk1 was just the start of my life as an absolute shill for Elgato and their fantastic products 🤣.
Really gonna miss this Mk1 as I consider which StreamDeck I want to replace it with.
