Windows 11 and macOS, yes. Windows 10 is End of Life, so there's not much active development for most things for Win 10 anymroe

Technically Wave Link 2 is also Windows 11 only, officially. It's just close enough to Wave Link 1 that most if not all of it works still

3 is basically a complete rewrite though, so no point it getting bogged down supporting dead OS versions and their older APIs and issues

Generally that's what Windows 11 update does

You'd have to choose specific options to wipe everything

(unless you're going from 32 bit Win 10 to 64 bit Win 11 or something else out of the ordinary)

Best way to describe the Neo line is that they're positioned as "premium entry level" products in Elgato's lineup, ostensibly made for people who want to use their stuff for more general purpose use cases as opposed to purely streaming

Like you might not want/need all of the usual bells and whistles but also don't want to buy the cheapest products available

You kinda see that in their visual design, where they follow a different design language that might be easier to integrate in office environments than the usual product lines

Functionality wise, in a bunch of cases they're either the entry level products for a given category (Wave mics, for example) or a step above the entry level (Stream Deck Neo)

Yep, for the Stream Deck Neo it's got all of the same functionality as a regular Stream Deck (it runs the same exact software and doesn't artificially gate any functionality off)

Honestly, if the Neo was around when I got my old 15 key, I'd probably have gotten the Neo. It's a great size

I just ordered the retail-exclusive Elgato + Discord stream deck mini today... and I'm super excited for it to arrive tomorrow.

It'll be my first stream deck device. I've been curious about them before, but they looked a little too complicated to start with... It's neat that now there is one with built in discord presets. Plus its cute and a nice little size :)

Yeah, up until recently it got you access to the Wave Link software, and the knobs play really nice with that (it's worth noting Wave Link 3 is being opened up to everyone now, regardless of if you own Elgato stuff)

Yes, this is how it works; since it’s playing a sound.
Are you using wave link? Waves link and mixers like it use output devices as their channels so that apps can send sound to them.

The buttons shown on that Stream Deck is literally the Default Profile it ships with, so I kinda doubt it

It was not. They either were running Windows on the Steam Machine or there is another PC there like a laptop. Because that looks to be our default profile in our desktop app.

No, Wave Link 3 removes the hardware requirement that was present in previous versions

All previous versions would have required a Wave XLR, Stream Deck+, or USB Wave Mic (or Corsair Voyager laptop), but Wave Link 3 does not.

That said, only Elgato audio hardware gets the built in Voice Focus feature. All other devices you'd have to purchase the standalone Voice Focus plugin to use it.

I stream GTA RP so I kinda need something where I can use a dynamic microphone. However, with the TC Helicon microphone, I encounter mouth sounds and all that, I was hoping you guys could tell me the best microphone to go with a Wave XLR

It’s a great mic, but mouth sounds is best reduced by your performance. Learning to just be quieter with them.
Voice focus helps a little but I wouldn’t expect it to be a full solution if you’re hearing more mouth noises than you want to.

You should check out the #1298388635254521886 channel for videos tutorials.
Also there are tons (most often they are just copy cats of others) on youtube as well.

But it's pretty straight forward; drag and option from the list of actions on the left to one of the squares (or circles if it's a Dial Action).
(if you hover your mouse over them, they usually have a short description of what they do)
Then you edit the settings for that action in the space below the stream deck button layout area.

If you have specific questions on something; if it's not working or wanna know if something's possible..
You can always ask in the #stream-deck channel.

There are also options to extend stream decks function via plugins in the Marketplace.
But would suggest familiarizing yourself with the default stuff first.. unless there's something specific you wanna do which needs a plugin.

I’m not exactly sure where to ask this, but I bought the Mic Arm Pro, is the microphone ‘connector’ (not the XLR) for use on the side of the mic? Because I have a Sennheiser MK4, and IIRC, that connector is on the bottom.

Elgato gear defaults to 1/4 20 threads, which is standard for camera gear. But it ships with adapters for 3/8 20 (Europe mic standard) and 5/8 20 (North America mic standard)
So it will fit any mic you have.

I would much sooner spend any extra money on a better mic. Don’t sink money into a fancy pop screen!

Umm, foam does something. It’s not exactly the same as plosives, but there’s a lot of overlap in what foam vs pop screen is good at preventing

The issue with foam is similar as the issue with the kind of pop screen in that link above.
They are very close to the capsule.

So if you’re dealing with the kind of pops that need more distance between the screen and the capsule. Both these things and foam, probably won’t help much

The clip one looks and works similar to elgato’s clip on screen for wave 3

Yeah foam can work, but what it’s bad at is really strong plosives will physically move the foam and since they are coupled the vibration translates through it.
So separating the physical surfaces helps.

But I keep coming back to, the best solution is mic technique and let a foam or clip on screen catch your mistakes.

how can i fix the spotify extention not working? i have it fullt connected but it doesnt work and shows up at no internet conenction even thought im on PC and i have an internet connection via ethernet

so in the past 2 years, i have had 13 corsair/elgato devices fail on me.

Across 2 different users in my house, a mic, mice, a stream deck, i have a capture card that doesn't work half the time or in the resolutions that elgato says are supported.

Now wave link software is entirely unusable. I have had to reinstall windows just to get it to work earlier this year, now it seems that will be likely again, however I will be replacing my entire kit before I ever do that for this shoddy hardware/software.

My question is, why is this acceptable? I have made tickets, i have called support, i have sent emails, I have come in here and it just seems like everything is so perfect. no issues, no bugs. So I can only wonder if negativity is being suppressed. Because I have had nothing but issues with my products for the last 2 years but online you will only find surface level issues that are instantly fixed, any issues like mine get downvoted, met with hostility, silence or deletion

Yeah, it looks like WW = Global .. and they might not ship every from the site. As even the Stream Decks under WW/EN don't let you add to cart, but only buy at retailer (which appears to be Amazon for most) so the chair might not be available on Amazon yet to ship to Australia

But you need a Premium Subscription (according to the overview of the plugin by BarRaider)

it's not a plugin per se, but using the same Windows callbacks that's been used since Windows 98

so it's quite random what it controls 😛

Hey hey! I need some help and it’s driving me mad haha!

My scenario: I’m on PS5 streaming to TikTok using a MacBook M4 as my computer. I’m also using steel series arctis nova pros wireless with the DAC

I recently purchased an Elgato HD60x Quality is great there’s no issues at all and there’s no noticeable input lag at all so in terms of display, that department is fantastic!

Now let’s get to the can of worms, so once you select the audio output to HDMI I basically have to plug my Arctis nova pros directly into my Mac with the game dac as if I was using them on there (the dac is no longer plugged into the PS5) and the only way of receiving audio is to monitor the output on OBS which I’ve noticed there’s a slight delay from when I do something in game to when I receive the audio in the headphones

These are my 2 main questions:

1. Can I still get audio through my PS5 using the DAC on the PlayStation? I read somewhere if I plug an AUX into the slot on the Elgato and then plug it into the arctis nova pro line in aux slot will it feed the audio directly into the headphones?

2. What’s the best work around to still be able to use party chat / game chat on the PS5?

Hey Elgato, for some reason all of my Twitch Chat Commands don't work all of a sudden. I have used my stream deck for years and never had this issue.

I tried all the normal troubleshooting things. Deleting my twitch account and adding it back in, etc, etc... Nothing works.

Issue: Press Stream Deck Button to Put Chat command !RT > It does nothing.
Work around: Stream Deck Software > Prefs > Click Accounts > Twitch > Open Twitch > Wait 15-30 seconds > Now command works for a little bit but then in say 5-10 minutes it stops working again... over & over. Makes the Stream Deck useless.

Please fix as the Stream Deck is the Center of my stream. Thx 🤞

I would suggest you make sure your plugin is up to date though, should be version 1.11.5.8 if you're using the Elgato provided Twitch one. 3.4.1 if you're using BarRaider's Twtich tools.

Hello! I’ve been having a problem for a few days with the chat link pro connected to the 4k s and for a few days the microphone of the controller doesn’t work connecting these components... I use the headsets without microphone connected to the chat link pro for several months and everything worked perfectly now I don’t know why it stopped working out of nowhere. I restarted the ps5 console and the controller and I also looked at the settings and everything is active but as soon as I disconnect the chat link pro of the controller the microphone of the controller works

Ah I’m not a console player, I didn’t know the controllers have microphones.
Chat link pro is meant to be used with a headset that has a microphone.
It will split the audio you hear and feed a copy of that to the capture card. Your headset mic will still work with party chat.
You will need a microphone attached to the pc in order for the recording to pick up your voice.
I had never heard about controller mic… so no clue if that will still work but it might be a setting in the console. Chat link shouldn’t really have anything to do with that, unless the console turns it off when a headset is connected to the audio jack, as if does with hdmi audio.

Yes. That’s a per server setting on your end. As I said above.

Discord server managers don’t control what notifications you get. You control that. Globally, by allowing the app to push notifications on your device, or not.
And then on a per server basis, by setting each server to push all, or just @ replies, and you can even suppress the @ everyone if you want to.

For push notifications, I keep getting notifications for random messages that don’t even relate to me getting mentioned and a big majority of my servers are set to “only @mentions” but aren’t showing in my notifications tab, just friend requests only

If you’re on mobile swipe from the right edge, tap the server name at the top, then tap the notification button to show the per server notification settings.
At least that’s how it looks on iOS.

I just got an Elgato 4k S to stream my switch 2 to discord for friends. I have a dual monitor setup but my monitors only have 1 HDMI port. I cannot hear the Elgato through my second monitor. I also cannot figure out how to stream it. Can anyone help?

is it possible to make a profile for the stream deck mini without owning one

If you own any other Stream Deck, center your profile top-left and use the when exporting, it will fill that same area on a Stream Deck Mini. The user will be prompted which device they want to install it on after they click the file.
