I saw at least one post on the reddit where a user wound up doing a system restore to get around it. I still don't know for certain if it's the GPU driver or Windows update but most posts are poinging to the GPU driver. I wish they'd clarify if they were on the Studio or Game Ready versions

The other possible workaround is leaving the card in extended mode and using software to clone it (eg OBS fullscreen projector mode)

(keeping in mind cloning with software isn't doing any encoding so should be a very light hit if any on performance, and can in theory allow HDR to be used with cloning turns off)

Wave 3 is also a great option since you get Wave Link, and VoiceFocus removes a lot of the issues condensers give ie picking up everything if you have pets, loud keyboard, partner etc

I use Elgato's Facecam MK.2 for my tracking. For the software, I use VTube Studio via Steam!

If you're looking to use a PNGTuber, then I recommend veadotube mini or discord reactive.

But I believe VTube Studio recently had an update which makes it compatible for PNGTubers too? I'm not 100% sure, so you might need to look into that haha

A mixer of some kind (like wave link from Elgato) is the right way to do it.
If you don’t have some mixer you can set the audio device to monitor and output in OBS advanced audio settings, but there will be some latency with that.

I am having a small issue with my Stream Deck. I am a new user so it's probably just user error so I'm not sure if I should be putting it on #official-tech-support , but if I'm wrong just let me know.

I have bought mine to have some easily accessible shortcuts for playing DND online through Discord VC. I've created a few soundboards for ambient noise or sound effects, and maybe also some voice changers for roleplaying NPCs. When I was testing it through a regular discord call, both myself and the person I was speaking to could hear the soundboard sounds, but when I join the voice chat channel in my Discord server, other people can hear them but I cannot. It's not a major issue, but it would be nice to be able to hear it myself as well so I know it's all working correctly.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? The output/input device on the soundboard shortcut on the StreamDeck and in Discord is 'Line (Voicemod Virtual Audio Device (WDM)' for both.

But for the recording, you will need a capture card and microphone attached to the pc.
That is in addition to whatever display and headphones attached to the console you play the game with.

We can only hope for SteamOS to make a major splash when it's finally finalised enough to sway major corporations to develop for Arch (which might also make it so it works for Ubuntu and such which is the distro with highest usernumbers). Currently the Linux userbase is about 3% but divided into tons of distros so it would be unwise for any company to spend resources to develop and maintain applications or drivers.

Chat Link Pro only splits audio OUT form a console, not the headset mic. It's a passive cable so it can't amp a mic so splitting the headset mic is a bad idea. It's outright not wired to do it. Generally you mix your own voice back in with a dedicated mic on the computer

If you don't move the mic at all, the LP would be fine, but if you move it without adjusting the screws it will eventually start to sag because wearing out the tensionmechanism. So always adjust the tensionscrews! ^^

Alright I got a question for the chat link for my elgato x on Xbox series X . I’m planning on buying 1 and I wanted to support the elgato seller but the one they selling on amazon doesn’t say Xbox. But this other one I found says Xbox on the description but it’s not from the elgato seller.

It works with Xbox even though it's not labeled on it. It's a standard 3.5 mm connection. Thing is Xbox can get the game and party chat without it (just not in game chats like prox and lobby, or the on console Discord)

Is there a way to disable the screensaver on the streamdeck? It wants to stay on all the time that I'm not using streamdeck - like when I put the computer to sleep. I used to have an option to drag a slider to reduce the brightness to zero, but now that seems gone and I have to unplug it each night.

I've asked before, haven't seen any answer for it. I use my stream deck as a soundboard primarily. I know there is a round about way of doing it, but I'm looking to see if anyone else has figured it out. So I hit a sound, in order to get it to stop, I have to hit that sound again to get it to stop. I want to be able to hit a new sound and it will just stop the first sound and play the new one, rather than play both at the same time.

My sister has a Razer Kiyo, and another friend has the Pro version. Depending on software, it might be either Synapse, or just needs to be a direct source. Also, I’m not sure about colors other than what OBS allows you to change in the properties and filters.

But if you aren’t looking for a new camera, facecam MK.2 also gives great quality. Or if you’re looking for the 4K then the facecam pro is great.
