another way is to go to the elgato website and use their contact support option on the website as they can confirm whether or not the email was legit or a phishing scam

I don't stream or anything, I'll just use it for prosumer purposes, I was wondering if there's anything I should know before everything arrives
when I say prosumer, I mean I'll talk to my friends and use it for work calls over Teams and such
and the stream deck, I expect to use it for multimedia (spotify mostly), switching between headphones, speakers, etc. and probably dedicate a few buttons for specific programs.

ok, as long as you get the concept of audio goes in, gets mixed, and the result comes out of the outputs. you'll be fine. The thing people often don't get at first if they haven't thought about it is that the mixing you do in wave link is reflected in the output of wave link.
In other words, turning the game channel up or down doesn't change the sound source; it changes how loud that sound source is in the monitor mix and/or stream mix.
In other words, all your audio has to go into wave link, and then wave link plays out into your headphones or speakers. Don't route audio around wave link directly to your speakers and you'll be fine.
(and I put a conceptual explanation video in #1291136160676188172 going into great detail about this, since it's such a common hangup.

yeah that's right. similar in many functions to voicemeter. Route all your audio into it, balance it to you taste, and the monitor mix goes to your headphones or speakers.
If you're not streaming that's as far as you'll ever have to go with it.
But the processing it can do on your voice is amazing quality. Top of the industry and designed to be easy for a beginner to use. and your voice will sound exactly like that in all apps, all the time. You're in good hands.

Wave link uses vst plugins, yes. But the new version that came out last week has a new voice isolation called voice focus which beats everything else in the industry right now.
(I'm an audio engineer for 20 years, voice focus sounds better than any other real-time voice isolation right now, and almost as good as some of my really heavy post-production tools)
And while it can use third party plugins, you won't need to use anything besides what elgato has made for it and put in their store.
Voice focus is built in, the elgato EQ and compressor from marketplace. and maybe the new DeEsser if you feel you want it.
You can use 3rd party ones if you want to but these are really good and most importantly, easy to learn how to use.

It's not a big deal. A few clicks to add the eq and compressor plugin from marketplace. Like I say, you don't need anything 3rd party unless you have something specific you really want to use.

You won't need voicemeeter once you have wave link. In fact, using two mixers will cause some confusion and possibly conflicts.

All your audio from apps will be routed to channels in wave link where you can balance them.
If you have any hardware devices to recieve audio from, those can also be added to wave link as channels. (they take the place of the aux channels)

Here's the thing, I use ASIO drivers for stuff like Rocksmith and I need routing to be able to capture the game using OBS and the likes, voicemeeter lets me do that while also rerouting said audio to my headphones. If wavelink can also handle ASIO with low latency, then I probably have no reason to use VM any more
my current mic is an extreme budget XLR Behringer XM8500 so I used to have to split channels 1 and 2 into 2 separate devices to split guitar from mic, but since Wave3 runs on USB, I guess that's no longer a requirement

Wave devices don't have ASIO drivers, it's not really geared toward music production. It will be a totally separate system to your audio interface you use for music.
You will be able to add your other interface to the wave link mixer, but it will be routed through a virtual audio device to do that so there will be the latency incurred by that in the windows system.
You said you didn't do streaming so I was thinking that meant OBS wasn't involved in your setup

Ah ok. So it might get a little more complicated but wave link can send audio to OBS easily, and your other interface can also...
But if you add your other interface to wave link as a channel, it will have both its inputs merged. So if your guitar is on the other interface and mic is the wave mic... that will be fine, you can balance those. The only question will be if the latency is bothersome. It could be greater than 80ms. Depends on several factors... unfortunately.
Yeah, elgato doesn't have a multi-channel audio interface solution, and so any time you're merging with another interface there will be some additional latency.... hmm
It's such a great system for streaming voice mic and mixing sound from apps, voice chats, meeting apps, all that stuff. Consistent, great sounding results.
But when you add music stuff, it's not created with that in mind for sure. Not that it can't work but....
It's the monitoring your guitar through the behringer interface, that's where the latency will come in. I can't say for sure how much it will be, you'll have to try it out. At least 80ms.
Because that audio has to be passed into wave link to be mixed into your headphones.

It works super well together! Definitely recommend if you don't plan on getting an iOS device. Favorite feature of Facecam MK.2 is that it has a build-in shutter!

That's awesome!! Ok, then I actually have not tried using our webcams with 3D Models before! I use a Live2D Model, BUT assuming it works similarly, then it should work great as well! I'd definitely recommend looking on YouTube to see if any other 3D VTubers have used our webcams for tracking!

So I figure before I go through the rigmarole of creating a ticket I would ask you guys. Before I ask however 1) yea DCHP (or whatever it is) is disabled. 2) My cords are good and plugged into the correct spots. I have a HD60x and am trying to use it with my PS5. I am using a Samsung smart tv and a basic laptop with OBS. Everything runs great……accept when the actual game starts the tv will no longer show the game, only the laptop does. To clarify when I am on my PS5 Home Screen and in my settings my tv will show everything, but as soon as I load the game the screen goes black. Please advise.

ok, new to the discord but have a problem that has been driving me nuts,,,, I have different accounts set up on my stream decks for streaming on twitch, or you tube. I have streamed on twitch for almost 5 years with NO issues at all,,,, on youtube however, half way through a stream and anything coming from a youtube chat message ends up with a yellow triangle and I am no longer connected to youtube. I was able to take the youtube account out and put it back in and could get another hour or two out of it. Now it says that I have exceeded my logins in youtube,,,,, so at the beginning of every stream I have to reset it, then 3-4 hours in I loose them. I am still able to get through scenes, turn cameras on and off, sounds, and control the elgato lights,,,, but nothing in the youtube chat messages work,,,,, any ideas?? I am beating myself against the wall here,,,, thanks so much in advance

That's a question for the stream deck community help channel, not general chat. But if you're getting capped on logins once you've actually logged in the app, odds are you've got something else trying to automatically log in with an expired password somewhere. You'd likely want to check with YouTube support on that if you can't track it down.
Do make sure your apps are up to date though, as they do occasionally get updates to fix login issues and new authorization requirements by providers

Sounds like your white balance or iso might be changing; make sure to not use auto for any of these so that it won’t auto adjust, and save your settings to the hardware in camera hub so this won’t happen.

No, I don't have a Wall Mount. But it's part of the Multi Mount Lineup and the Flex Arm is listed as compatible with all Multi Mount Accessories. It has the same ball mount Flex Arm uses, so you just loosen the clamp and swap it out

Note quite sure why you're looking for other brands of gear in the official Elgato Discord, given we're going to have an obvious bias, but keep in mind if you're trying to do that through the Stream Deck app, only the Elgato pedal works with the Stream Deck app. Beyond that if you're hooking it up a different way maybe hit up a more generic streaming discord for recommendations?

Well I just figure this Discord server is full of people who are oriented towards finding good equipment 🙂 All I'd need it for is a key combo to activate OBS, so it wouldn't necessarily need to work with Stream Deck (although that's what I use currently, though I have to look down to use it)

Likely exclusivty agreements with specific vendors. I know in the US they were Best Buy and elgato.com exclusive at launch for that model. The rules for that change from region to region.
Though in some counties you may see small stock with importers. It may be a good idea to check if they're an authorized seller, as in many cases devices resold in other countries outside the authroized seller network don't get the same warranty coverage.

As I said, there's probably a exclusivity agreement in place where only certain retailers have permission to sell it. Those overlap, but are separate from the authorized reseller agreements for everything else.

Is anyone savy with audio and troubleshooting with elgato wave 3 software? I'm having issues with 3-game digital audio interface. it's cutting out and crackling a bit when it does it. Also massive delays on stream with audio. If there's anyone who knows or has experience of this or how to fix it I'd really appreciate it greatly. I can get into live stream and show what I have going on. maybe just guide me? Also want to add i just updated to windows 11. i had someone help me set everything up and it ran fine for a day, then the next day it messed up badly. Remove your YouTube channel from the Stream Deck application, go into the System Tray and quit the Stream Deck application by right clicking on the Stream Deck icon and choose Quit Stream Deck. Then wait a minute or two, launch Stream Deck, and finally add your YouTube channel back in the Stream Deck application.

Stream Deck KVM but if multiple computers are connected, some keys are dedicated to PC 1 and some to PC 2 (configurable in software, stored on device)
You'd have a couple of USB hubs internally tho, which might be annoying hardware wise
With what I know of the HID protocol that Elgato uses, it might also be annoying to implement, though at the same time the hardware could just mask off the parts of the framebuffers that shouldn't be active from each computer before compositing them together

Camerea questiones would normally go in the community help section, but most Facecams are USB 3.0 devices. A USB 3.0 cable generally doesn't go past about 9ft by spec because they're very precise with the high speed timings.
The exception is an active style cable or one with a fibre converter - active ones have repeaters built in, and fiber convert with a repeater to optical before converting back - these aren't officially supported for Facecam and mileage may vary, (plus they're notably more expensive) but I've seen folks use them. Ideally the best bet is to use a standard cable and keep it 9ft or less.

That's a question for #capture-cards community help channel - but make sure you have a USB 3.0 cable and are using a USB 3.0 port. Trying to connect it at USB 2.0 is the usual cause of that issue, especially if it smooths out at 720p

yes @odd drift turns out the plugin currently can't be elevated, so if you run OBS in elevated mode (admin) then you have to run it without admin to get the plugin to connect

@rose hornet , @odd drift , and anyone else who was having the logging in issue. We just released a hot fix. If you still have the plugin installed, re-run OBS and you should get a notification of an update. Download/install it, and you should be able to use OBS with the plugin in admin mode. If you've uninstalled it, the new version should be available from the main site shortly, or you can download/install the old version, and get prompted for the new installer when you first run OBS. Thank you @rose hornet for taking the time to help me troubleshoot!

Thanks! I have no idea what is going on with it. I would just be using it normally and then it would randomly just shut off and wouldn't power on again until i go and flip the power switch on the psu. Crazy thing is that it would go months working just fine and then randomly do it for like a week or two and then be fine again for another few weeks. Everytime i bring it for diagnosis its impossible to replicate the situation. Just this last week it got worse in that i have to flip the psu switch like 3-4 times before it would turn on. So im looking at getting a new psu

That's a question for #capture-cards by the sounds of it. But make sure HDCP is turned off in the PS5 Video menus. Copy protection like that prevents video capture.

Nope; it should actually be the opposite effect. Downscaling an image from a high resolution to a lower resolution is actually one of the highest quality forms of anti-aliasing, which produces a cleaner looking image. The only issue is that it won't be strictly perfect, since 1440p doesn't cleanly scale to 4k, but you're still getting a good deal of improvement there
Recording at 1080p would result in the best image (4k is a clean 4x larger than 1080p in pixel count), but that also might not be ideal

one thing to keep in mind is that you get what you pay for and you generally want something that is good quality as it will be supporting your mic's weight. if its poor quality it could collapse and drop your mic causing a future expense you wouldn't want.

yeah my first boomarm was a chinese noname with springs, it rattled constantly and sagged, it was like 30 euros but should have waited and saved up for a proper one 😛

If elgato made something akin to the steam deck, that would be insane! access to your steam library for remote gaming AND has the ability to function as a stream deck for irl streaming would blow so many peoples minds

while i dread to imagine what it would take to make something like that, it could be very cool. a device that takes the functionality of stream deck mobile combined with a handheld gaming device with the stream deck software built in. this would allow for full mobile ability anywhere

Handheld PC's have superlow profitmargins though to be competitive
so would make little sense to cram all that into one

ngl, that is part of the design that would stump me too, unless it has like maybe two rows of buttons built above or below the screen for quick access

To be competitive in the current market it needs to be somewhere between the Nintendo Switch at its 350-400USD pricepoint, to the Valve Steamdeck at 400-600, and the others that go up to like 1000 like ASUS
