anyone know why if i dont engage with the spotify app for like 5 mins the play/pause button on my stream deck doesnt work?

Put your Spotify buttons into a folder and only have that folder open when you want to change song, play/pause etc. The reason being that if the buttons are shown, the plugin sends calls to Spotify's API regularly, which in turn makes Spotify time you out / throttle you for a while. It's a Spotify problem and nothing BarRaider or Elgato can do anything about.

Hey, anyone know if it is possible to attach the Elgato Flex Arm to the base that came with the Keylight Air? I got a new stand for my lights but don't want the base that came with it to go to waste, and I was thinking I could attach a flex arm to it so I can put a Facecam Mk2 on the end to have a table view when making Lego? That's most likely your Discord settings! What does your Discord voice settings look like? If you haven't already, I recommend manually setting your input sensitivity. For reference, this is what mine looks like:

Hi all. I have tried the Google method and I can't find specific help for what I am trying to do with my Stream Deck. While streaming I frequently swap back and forth from OBS to my Twitch stream manager on my Chrome browser on my second monitor. Each time I switch I would like the target maximized, and the one I am switching from to be minimized. Is this a possible command to open a specific minimized chrome window with stream deck? I already tried adding a hotkey in my Chrome browser exe properties and linking that via F13 with my stream deck, but that opens a new chrome window every time and ignores the minimized window.

Yes, but only for the 5 Gbps modes, as the hub is a 3.0 hub, not a 3.2 Gen 2. You'd also neeed to include a power supply for it - the deck and capture card use enough power that you can't power both from the host USB port

Yees - for HD60 X they can get away with USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) - but with all the renaming that is indeed 3.2 Gen 1 now (and 3.1 Gen 1). USB naming conventions are a mess and only getting worse. Have you seen USB4 2.0 yet?

Most likely you're seeing a boot configuration data problem if the stop code is ending in F. 0xC00000F is a pretty common one for that. If it's actually 0x000000F it basically indiciates some process on the bootup there is never managing to lock a resource.
Either way 4K X is a UVC card, that runs on the built in Windows UVC driver - it doesn't install anything that should cause this, for either of those errors, especially once the card is removed. You might want to check a general tech support discord instead.

Not unless there's a shorted cable or some sort of issue with the host USB port, I would think, anyway.

I feel like its something so simple (PS5 ELGATO HD60X audio isn't working(picking up) my headset audio in OBS
I did something in the Elgato 4k utility to switch it to "Analog audio" so now it picks up the game audio & people in my party
But for some reason it does NOT pick up me talking at all
Any advice?

To simplify it, I was having the same problem that alot of people have. No at all going to the recording thing (OBS/4k capture/streamlabs)

Then I swapped the Elgato 4k capture audio from HDMI to Analog and now I can hear the game audio/music

Yes you can paint it lol. It's plastic. The inside of it is a screen. The buttons are plastic. Tape everything off with good quality masking tape (for models)

Can someone at Elgato please escalate issue 2007507993? It's been 6 months now and still no resolution.

Outstanding issues:

1. PC does not sleep automatically while WaveLink is running.
2. Sometimes, after resuming from forced sleep, the WaveLink process is not running and the WaveLink icon is missing from the Task Bar and has to be restarted manually before audio can be heard.

On more than one occasion I've had to abort live-streams to fix mic issues caused by WaveLink not working after resuming from sleep.

Manufacturers and dev teams around the world spent a lot of time improving power consumption of our computers by allowing them to sleep and it seems somewhat irresponsible of Elgato to allow so much time to pass with this issue not fixed, and in the process wasting electricity and costing users money in the process due to inflated electricity bills when their PCs don't sleep automatically. And as a slap in the face to those users who do manually instruct their PC to go into sleep mode they are rewarded by non-functional audio after resuming from sleep.

Tech stuff like this can be such a headache sometimes. For your Elgato HD60X setup, it might help to check if your adapter supports HDCP, as this can cause quality issues. Also, to ensure your OBS settings are optimized, try setting the base canvas and output resolution to match your phone's.

If the quality still looks rough, you might want to try using a direct USB connection and apps like Reflector or Lonely Screen to wirelessly mirror your phone to your computer, then capture it in OBS. They often provide a cleaner result than adapters.

Yo, out of curiosity has Wave Link added support for more than 3 outputs yet? I’m looking to consolidate my desktop hardware down and have an XLR Dock on the way.
My hope is that if it works out it will be just my Stream Deck + without the need for a Beacn to manage all my audio outputs, and my WaveXLR will disappear into my closet next to my Rode Caster Pro II, but with VR streaming I have a really bizarre workflow.

I searched with every term I could think of and I cannot help but think I'm the only on this happens to. I have a stream deck at my office that I exported profiles from and when I import the profile on my home stream deck and reassign the file paths, I lose my icons. Any way to prevetn this? I'm on Mac OS 15.2 and Stream Deck 6.8.1. Thanks

Exporting profiles doesn't migrate the installed plugins with them. Make sure you're already got the same plugins installed before you import the profiles.

Variable refresh is pretty much only good for games, because they render frames on the fly and the frame rate keeps changing - VRR helps keep the screen refresh matched with the changing frame rate to prevent tearing (it's basically reverse V-Sync). You should never need VRR on a camera (or for TV or movies) as they should always be producing a consistent frame rate.

VRR is also available (optionally) on HDMI 2.0., and 4K60 would only need HDMI 2.0 - so no terrible need to add to the cost of the device with HDMI 2.1, if 4K60 is all you're after.

Adding to that, a HDMI camera would still need a capture device like a Cam Link or capture card to use it on a computer, since they don't have built in HDMI input - so you're still converting to USB (or PCIe) anyway. Plus you're competing with DSLRs, Mirrorless and Camcorders in that segmetn - best to save on the costs and go straight to a single device using USB for a webcam I would think.

Proper noisegate pretty much to cut off things lower than your voice should remove all noises

Nvidia broadcast - run the mic output through it if you can. It has some auto filters like the one ocha mentioned but does it like pretty smooth

If mouth clicks are really bothersome you might try being a little farther from your mic, and moving it off to the side a little.
This is something professional speakers will learns to do quieter as they gain experience.
If I was recording it I would probably change the mic for a dynamic which is less sensitive to high frequency transients.
And after all that, I have some processors in the iZotope RX suite that can reduce/remove mouth clicks transparently.

But the number one thing is at the recording phase. Learn to make them quieter, and/or adjust mic position… or choose a different mic.

Hm. Well the Elgato Facecams that'd beat c920 would probably be the Mk2 and Pro, depending on if you need USB 2.0/MJPEG support, HDR, and 720p120 mode, or the option to go to 4K with autofocus.

Good morning, people. I found a solution for those experiencing this problem. I'm not sure if it's a permanent fix, but it seems to work well so far for me. Basically, go to Windows settings, then System, Sound, Properties. Find the main Elgato Wave Neo mic, then locate Input volume and click the mute button, and then unmute it. The mic should turn red, then white, and the problem should stop. I can send a picture in dms if anyone needs it but yeah, i hope that helps someone :)

A common feature of all Elgato hardware is that the configuration can be saved to the devices. Gain and low cut filters, and other settings on the mics; for cameras the iso and other mode settings… etc.

Unlike the c920 which would need to be configured each time you open it in any app.

I use Lumia Stream and I have HUD for chat, jump scares, and alerts, plus I get to do crazy animations and use stuff like DMX lights to strobe and do a full automation when events happen on stream. The greatest $5 a month I’ve ever spent and can’t be more happy about it.

I agree i use lumia and having it run my stream is great only other bot I run is very serybot for the bot raids and hate profiles as lumia can not do it but lumia a great all in one bot and it a great honour that I am a affiliate for them also

Just purchased the el gato 4k x cap card, got it hooked up just like the tutorial said, from my PS5 to my monitor / PC

I can't get my PS5 to even show up on my monitor,

I got it showing up in Streamlabs, but it's incredibly blurry
