The Windows Volume Mixer you mean? where you can set various apps to go to various virtual inputs in Wave Link?

That is the correct button - if it's not working try going into it directly. If you press start and type in mixer, the sound or volume mixer should come up in the list (depending on your version of Windows) and you can open it directly.

Nothing wrong with what you're suggesting, but the additional gear would also drive up costs and it would go from an XLR interface to a more general purpose audio interface - at that point it'd probably be better as it's own product line.
The majority of headphones out there also aren't high impedance (though those often get over represented by bigger streamers who've money to burn on the setup). It's easier to target the majority of gear out there with low impedance and add an amp than it is to deal with distortion from too much impedance out of the box. The Beyerdynamics (especially the common DT 770 and DT990) also have 80 and 32 ohm versions - you're better off buying the one that matches the gear you have. Unless you're setting up studio gear or HiFi music and movies for an audiophile, the 250's are generally overkill for smaller content creators just starting out - especially as gamers tend to throw away the reference EQ curves for custom EQs that favour things like gunshots and footsteps - things higher end low impedance gaming headsets are already targeted at.
So yeah, not a bad idea but I think it would be better as it's own product line than something like Wave XLR 2, as most people after a Wave XLR want a more affordable XLR interface for a mic like Wave DX, than a full on DAC in most cases. That said there's already a lot of competition out there in the realm of general audio interfaces, and Elgato tends to focus on where they see gaps - another option is pairing something like a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen with a Stream Deck+ to keep access to Wave Link, if you need the additional output more than a single general XLR input.

Make sure you're actually signed into Marketplace in your Stream Deck app and the plugin is up to date - if you're not signed into the app it won't auto update and if you're out of date you'll get that repeated authorization issue (or for some versions no authorization at all)

My current main rig is a laptop though, bceause I had to travel for work a bit, so I do also have powered USB at this point. I'm currently running 2 powered USB 3.0 hubs, 1 unpowered USB 3.0 hubs, and the USB4 hub. Waiting tillI have money to put a desktop back in here because I keep running low on ports

Havent used my capture card in 3 or 4 months, got a new switch game wanted to play. I have the HD60S+ and when i try to open the 4k capture utility software it doesn't show up at all. it exists in my task manager under background services but it never fully opens.

I have tried everything i can think of
I tried updating the software to the most recent version, downgrading the software to older version, deleting software and all relating files entirely before a fresh install of the software, I turned the pc off and on again of course.

my capture card displays fine in OBS but i hate using obs to actually play, the input lag is pretty bad. Has anyone else experience this and have any ideas on a fix

Are you able to click on 4K in the task bar? If so do that and try using CTRL + Windows Key and an arrow key to move it around on the screen, in case it's just somehow moved out of view.
If you've been trying to remove it and reinstall, make sure you reboot the computer before you install the new version so the installer finishes cleaning up the old version. While it's removed you can also try renaming the 4K Capture folder under %APPDATA%\Elgato (I suggest renaming not removing in case something goes wrong and you need to put it back) to force clear any settings it might save.
If none of that works, let us know in #capture-cards after checking it, as this would go in that community help channel.

I don't have a way to bring that up at the moment but you should be able to get to the buttons you can't see with the Tab key and press then with space. But I don't recall how many are at the bottom 😐

If you can get that pop up out of the way you can trigger the update again from settings

Check in settings, and it'll tell you the version on the first tab

if it's not up to 1.7.12 just press update and it should go through

If you're getting stuff cut off like that while your screen is 1080p, check that you don't have display scaling cranked up in the Windows Settings. That can also cause dialog boxes to get too large to fit on a screen. Just in case you hit simlar issues in the future

While I'm here, ever since the update the footage is fine but has stutters and freezes up here and there. It didn't do this before the update so is it my setings or maybe a storage issue?

Might just need a reboot, if you've only just updated it. Any time you did a software update if you see hiccups reboot is a safe place to start. If the recording continues to struggle though it could be a storage issue (in particular if you're using a high bit rate but have a HDD instead of an SSD for storage). Or could be a number of other issues. For recording stuttering I usually suggest starting with updating your GPU drivers first, assuming you're using a hardware encoder

I even endet my game and changed it to "just chatting". I needed to end my stream and called him via Discord. Talked to him for hours to make sure he doesn't do stupid stuff. It may wasn't the most professional way to handle it, but I would say it was the most humanity way. Im dealing with depression, ADHD and some more menthal health stuff myself. I guess that's the reason why I cant bear seeing someone else suffer like that. I always try to bring more awareness to menthal health. That'd be a question for #wave-audio generally. Pop it in there. also you will have to clarify what you mean by raise or lower the desk clamp - eg, are you trying to close it to to attach to the desk? It should just screw closed.

The handle is a ratcheting handle - your's may be stuck upright. Pull down while turning it and it should engage and let you move it.

but there's a mechanism in the handle itself so when you pull down on it, it doen't sping the screw. It ratches like a socket wrench so you can install it in places where the thing can't go full way around

So if the scren isn't spinning it may be stuck in ratchet mode. Pushing spinning handle up towards the screw should engage the gear

So push up while turning the it whichever way you need to go and it should start moving

If it doesn't check with #official-tech-support as the internal ratcheting mechanism could be broken

The arm itself is 1/4". You already have the 5/8" adapter installed - which would be what you'd need if you had that other HyperX part

It'd be interesting - but given Cam Link Pro allowed up to 4 connections, to get an external one you'd probably need to be using USB4 40 Gbps or Thunderbolt 4 at this point to pull it off.

hi, the one in your pic will most likely be flimsy, microsoft surface has its weight so i'm assuming it could be a stretch with elgato as well (i'd normally mount my surface/tablets on heavy duty strong arms and mounts) but with that being said, the elgato arm could definitely work better than the standard amazon ones, it is way more robust + having it above bed is not as risky as desk/floor in case it falls 😊

The LP arm locks in place, unlike a traditional boom. So it should lock into whatever position you set it to when you tighten the bolts/knobs

If the Elgato grip mount is out, the arm ships with a 1/4" mount that will fit a LOT of third party grips. It's the standard size for things like photo and video tripods so pretty common. It also has an adapterin the box for 3/8" mounts and 5/8".

I don't have any examples off hand, but there should be any number that'll work (just don't forget to add the weight of the mount to the weight of the device to make sure the arm can hold it)

I've been looking online at the Chat Link Pro since I'd like to record using my headset microphone, but to be totally honest, I'm seeing mixed information as to what it actually does (Some people saying it records headset mic and xbox audio, some saying it doesn't record your headset mic). Can anyone here (who actually have the chat link, preferably) tell me if it actually covers headset audio and microphone output? Thanks

It only splits audio coming out of the console, not the mic itself (the mic on a headset is unamplified and runs at lower voltage than the line out from the console, splitting it without an amp can cause issues).

You would still want an additional mic for the computer

If you are going to need to be vertically adjusting things on the fly the LP arm might not be the best choice anyway - it locks in vertically and only shifts on a horizontal axis once setup (unless you loosen the adjustment knobs again). So that's something else to consider. Neither of the Elgato arms will mount with the heavy clamp either, though the Flex arm will, if you don't need to be able to move things as easily on the fly

Not all the Elgato cards are in the same price segment - but keep in mind you get what you pay for when you're comparing to cheaper cards. For example Elgato has an actual support team - you buy some no name discount card from China, you're not likely to get support or updates. The Elgato cards tend to offer features not found on the cheaper ones too, like high refresh rate support on later gens, and are no going to have issues like crappy soldering jobs. But without knowing what you need specifically, it's hard to make a case for the differences.

Lower latency is also a fairly common difference

Cheap cards can sometimes have multiple seconds of video delay

compared to like 30-35 milliseconds on the newer elgato ones

Are you working with a PC or a console that you're trying to capture? Those charts are aimed at consoles mostly - which cap at 120Hz.

Also keep in mind most folks only need 144Hz on passthrough. Capturing at 144fps would eat a lot of data. I believe HD60 X will do 144 if you have a source that can do that. Might be best to move this convo to #capture-cards . I'll see if I can test that when I'm back home. No where near my PC at the moment

Using a solution like NDI or something is also a mild performance hit because you have to encode the video for network transmission to the streaming PC. At that point you might as well just get a GPU with a dedicated encoder and run it all on one box (unless you're doing something like layering a VTuber or other heavy render over it)

Hello all! I have just bought the Elgato neo capture card. I bought it to stream from my pc and have my ps5 playing the game. Ive got OBS set up and the picture, some audio like discord and my mic are perfectly fine, the only thing is the game sound is behind maybe 1.5 seconds in my headset because the only way for Twitch to pick up on the audio was to have my headset and mic connected to my pc, how do I resolve this issue and make audio work so that I can stream from my ps5 on my pc and pick up discord audio, game audio (so I can hear it real time and twitch hear it), and pick up my mic. Thank you so so much in advance I’m really looking forward to fixing this and hopefully it’s something simple 😁

Not really - not unless you have a headset that connects to two devices at once. Chat Link only splits audio coming out of your console, it doesn't do two way audio (or even split the mic). Trying to add more splitters to link something else in can cause voltage issues since you wind up with two outputs on a setup that expects voltage from one. If you don't have a headset that handles two connections at once, you'd need something that would do that like a MixAmp or GameDAC.
It's enough of a headache that some folks just use earbuds paired to the PC under their gaming headset, if they don't have the extra hardware.

That said on Xbox if you only need party chat, you can join Party Chat from the app on the PC

Then capture that, and listen to everything with the headset connected to the PC

If you're just looking for a mount, any 1/4"-20 thread tripod or stand should do. If the brass mount inside came out that's not designed to be user replaced - but also should not be coming out on it's own.

Be careful.
If you can take the basket off you can clean it. Otherwise don’t. You risk damaging the capsule.
With the basket off, gently soap and water with a soft toothbrush will probably work. Blow dry it after, or better yet rinse with isopropyl alcohol to displace the moisture and dry quickly.

The StreamDeck 6.6 update is very nice, especially the new animated screen savers and the new background update but you missed a huge opportunity to be able to import animated background images so PLEASE elgato please allow us to import gifs/videos to put as streamdeck background

And When are we going to be able to add pages inside folders. ?
