I have a question, please, I have the El Gato capture device and I want to transmit through a Mac and play on a computer and my Mac laptop only has USB C ports. What would happen in that case? Why is it trying to connect a USB C to USB C to the capture device and to the mac and it didn't even turn on at all I just see and vizualiso that it gives video when I connect it with its original cable they think it works if I put a USB type A to USB type C adapter

As an aside: because the "Canadian" Goose (that migrates from the tip of North to tip of South America) was almost entirely hunted to extinction, so the restrictions on the hunt were enforced. Otherwise, it's kinda like chicken or turkey, but they have a farther range when they jump! Since the restrictions have actually been quite successful, in Vancouver here they are considered a nuisance in the parks, too many "droppings" which are actually 97% grass LOL, and the HONK HONK HONK.

QOTD- I like functional decor. I like to decorate with things that can be used but look great on a wall or shelf as well. Like guitars are a good example. Hanging your favorite guitar on the wall looks awesome!! Makes for great decor IMO. But also, pull that thing down and shred too! An awesome looking clock/weather station. Of course lighting is always great! Functional, but can change the vibe of your space. Hang keyboards, controllers, old PC hardware that is not being used but you want to hold on to it propped up in a shelf looks really cool to me.

#question-of-the-day my content on YouTube (mostly talk) and my process with editing (mostly music production) has involved "streaming thought" and then using tools and processes (such as those enabled by Stream Deck) allow me to edit faster and thus let me focus on my ideas when I talk at my camera....

At the very beginning, I had limited editing skills and limited quality tech, so I wish I learned sooner to let go of mishaps and let my flow go until I needed to start a new take.

Nowadays my approach would be similar, but it's now way easier to resume my flow, either recording or live. That phenomenon is so real of 'a word balancing delicately on the tip of the tongue when gravity seems so dire so immediately' - that puts the common idiom into the proper, realistic language of my old anxiety when I tried to 'go before the camera, being my own judge trying as I might to render sentences'.

Nowadays I can shake it off.

Also! Staying focused is good. Writing down a few words or a few lines of outline is more productive for me than writing a lot or trying to remember a bunch of script ideas.

My YT content that people like the most are always when I really am just getting into the idea, even if I pause a while to think. I used to feel anxiety at a pause time. But in real life it's okay. That quick cut edit style is not for me, my brain or editing desires.

There's been a few discussions on it - generally just updating the Stream Deck app to 6.5.2 will fix it. It includes compatibility fixes for OBS 30.1. Otherwise after updating OBS you may see the waiting on OBS message, and similar errors.

You can't do it directly, but there's a "Multi Action Switch" so that when you press a button one time it does one thing, press it the next it does another. You can set that up to also include steps to turn off whatever you just turned on- basically do the same thing I think you're looking for, with just one button.

Support questions should go to the community support channel - in this case #camera-prompter
That said it said it sounds like another app is likely trying to use the camera on boot up. Disconnecting the camera forces the app to let it go. Only one app can access the camera at a time. If Windows 11, check your Privacy and Security settings for the Camera, and under Recent activity look for what apps are trying to use the camera - if you see any that have accessed it since booting up, set them to not default to the FaceCam Pro if possible.

You need a role to be able to participate in the server, sure you can get notified when things happen but also a way to reduce bot activity. You can rightclick any server in the list to the left and select Notifications and choose what and how you will be notified or just turn it off.

it seems like an dark pattern to force users to opt into a notification channel. yeah, requring a role for onboarding can do a lot for bots, but it almost feels deliberately intrusive tying a notification to every single one and then requiring that people go into their discord settings to opt out. if nothing else, can there be an option for a role with no additional pings?

This should be possible!

You'll want to be sure you have two audio tracks on (the setting that says "seperate audio tracks" in shadowplay) so that your audio stays seperate between your game and your mic.

Then, on Wave Link only have your mic and then your Discord output routed to the Voice Chat input on Wave Link.

On Shadowplay, select Wave Link Stream as your mic. This combines your discord and voice into the mic audio channel while your game audio is only on your game audio channel in the shadowplay recording.

An important note for this setup, when you preview the file it may sound like it only has one track or the other. You'll usually need to bring the file into a video editing program to be able to access both audio tracks.

hm, I'll have to see for myself later. Hopefully the search won't take as long as it did for Shadowplay. It's kind of sad that after several years nvidia still hasn't managed to make multi audio outputs. It's not like the request isn't there. Looking for a solution I've read a lot about people wanting it because shadowplay is good in itself due to the native support for ultra wide resolutions and hardly any performance loss. But I am happy that I got a solution for my problem here. I'm already very impressed with your Wave Link software but this makes it even better.

2 lights, my HD60 X for gaming, the old HD60 S+ for my camera, a mic setup are fairly standard. Green screen because the room isn't just for streaming so I can hide the exercise gear. Stream Deck+ so I have access to Wave Link (and more buttons with the Mk2).

I also tend to use t he Green Screen for work video calls when I get pulled into them

This is how much I have grown into stream I am travelling the world for projects so a laptop Elgato’s products and my consoles are always in my cabin luggage along with my laptop. I celebrated my 1 year affiliate anniversary. Had only 50 followers became part of the TwitchUnityGuilds and am close to 500 followers on my channel

I am beyond frustrated at this point. I have had the Stream Deck XL since December. The soundboard feature never worked. When I try to play a sound, the Stream Deck app crashes. Every. Time. I can use other things like turning on and off the camera on Zoom, or muting my mic. But, whenever I upload any sound (from the marketplace or a custom sound) and then click the button on the deck, the sound will not play and the app will crash. I have uninstalled, re-installed, removed profiles, created new profiles, updated software. I am using a Mac Studio running 14.4. Nothing works. Can ANYONE help?

Most of the gear tends to go on sale at least a couple times through the year, with the exception of the very latest releases. Though larger sales where more items are on sale tend to overlap other sale events like Black Friday, or sometimes Amazon Prime day. There's a Sales role you can opt into in Channels & Roles, for when the Elgato store has their sales - though authoirized reseller like Best Buy tend to have their own sales as well.
