Actually Scott and Vadim are both wrong. Storage Optimizer will defrag an SSD once a month if volume snapshots are enabled. This is by design and necessary due to slow volsnap copy on write performance on fragmented SSD volumes. It’s also somewhat of a misconception that fragmentation is not a problem on SSDs. If an SSD gets too fragmented you can hit maximum file fragmentation (when the metadata can’t represent any more file fragments) which will result in errors when you try to write/extend a file. Furthermore, more file fragments means more metadata to process while reading/writing a file, which can lead to slower performance.
As far as Retrim is concerned, this command should run on the schedule specified in the dfrgui UI. Retrim is necessary because of the way TRIM is processed in the file systems. Due to the varying performance of hardware responding to TRIM, TRIM is processed asynchronously by the file system. When a file is deleted or space is otherwise freed, the file system queues the trim request to be processed. To limit the peek resource usage this queue may only grow to a maximum number of trim requests. If the queue is of max size, incoming TRIM requests may be dropped. This is okay because we will periodically come through and do a Retrim with Storage Optimizer. The Retrim is done at a granularity that should avoid hitting the maximum TRIM request queue size where TRIMs are dropped.

Hi - I tried looking the teleprompter channel, but I am excited on this release and watched a few reviews on it. But I'm curious if the teleprompter allows in an interview setup - the ability to record the interviewer's face so that it's a more intimate conversation since having the interviewee look directly at the camera can give a more intimate interview but it's weird looking at just a camera lens.
I know I can get a feed from something like OBS to the camera, but is there a feature in the app already/in development? Would a solution be set up a video chat and just turn off the volume??

Yeah. I figured that is the workaround. What I'm looking for is a solution to the Periscopw Teleprompter - which creates the illusion of a face-to-face conversation. What the Elgato Teleprompter looks like is a solution for live streaming but curious if it can solve what I mentioned above. That would be huge.

The Xbox only supports 1 gbps, so Cat 8 is unnecessary. Cat 6a is a better choice.
And your router has to have at least a 1 gbps port as well.
Cat 6a supports up to 10gbps

The exception being the Plus which is slightly better for for audio controlling purposes.

The XL is a personal favorite simply due to more buttons. However at the end of the day they all do the same thing so if you have space or budgetary constraints then you should get the one that suits your needs.

The DX is a dynamic mic while the Wave 3 is a condenser mic. If you have a noisy environment then the DX is going to be better just on the fact its a dynamic mic.
The Wave DX however requires you to get an XLR interface like the Wave XLR which will set you back more in terms of cost but sets you up to get other XLR mics down the road as well.
In terms of actual audio quality its not doing to be a major difference so you are pretty free to decide which route you want to take without much concern.

Basically, regular facecam has fixed focus, if you move too close or far away you'll be blurry, with Pro you can adjust the focus

The max resolution of the facecam is only 1080 so that means when you zoom in your are using a lower resolution image.
Since the Pro is a 4K when you zoom in you still maintaining a resolution above 1080 until you are super far in.
In streaming or zoom calls that basically means you never drop below HD quality since normally you would send a 1080 signal anyways.
Personally that was the deciding factor for me to get the Pro.

Yes you will have problems. That is USB 2.0.

I have a streaming question. I am currently setting up my new pc soon my internet speed is 300 Down/300 Up. I noticed on my old computer with that speed my game stream were blurry when i was playing a flight sim called DCS which is a combat sim with fast moving jets and stuff.

I have the Facecam Pro. It replaced my Logitech Brio which is also a 4K webcam. The Elgato Camera Hub software is so much more in-depth and it's been really easy to control the contrast, color and virtual camera.
If you have night lightning, the Facecam Pro would be a fantastic upgrade. I am using 2 Keylight Airs.

Good lighting will help even the lower-end webcams look better on screen. Especially if you're in a situation where you don't have any direct light shining on you.

If I had to pick, I would consider maybe getting a 1080P webcam + some form of light that can shine on you. It'll give you a really big upgrade in terms of camera @fast kindle. The above is really just meant to show you how even with a good camera, lighting is still important.

well i guess official support is only way how to find out about my order month ago which i been told that "we investigating what happened with your order" first time month ago and last time two weeks ago and since then silence (don´t take me guys as i´m here to attack anyone or such, just getting frustrating and trying if i can find out some more info here 🙂 )
