Just installed the update and noted the update to the app. To be honest, I think the APP should be included for anyone that has bought Elgato hardware. Having to pay for a simple app on top of the hardware we already own, just puts a sour taste in things. The App should be a huge selling point for the hardware. You buy the hardware, you can extend the capabilities with the App. Elgato could leverage that by adding special additional functions in the app just for hardware owners as well. I understand charging for non hardware buyers. But Elgato hardware is not cheap on its own and having to buy an app to extend functionality while people save up to buy more hardware, just does not sit well with me. Some may not like what I have said. But, unlike some, I am not made of cash.

To clarify, the app does have a free version for iOS, so every iOS/iPadOS user has free access to the Basic version which includes 6 free keys and one faceplate for light/dark mode. This will allow everyone who owns a iOS/iPadOS at this time to freely use a Stream Deck Mini via Stream Deck Mobile Basic.

I use android, but the idea/premise is the same. And the 6 free keys is not really useful for me. For example, I have 3 streamdecks. But it would be nice to place oft used commands on a tablet when I am not near the computer itself. But 6 keys would be no where what I would need for the functionality to be useful.

actually it can, with VST's being a think with wavelink, and stream deck with 1 device. So it's pretty BOSS since you can use 2 software to control it. Still, it's doesn't have XLR support, but if you have an XLR mic as an audio source you can use it with wavelink. It doesn't plug into it though.

The Beacn devices are not audio interfaces either. Just an audio controller like the Stream Deck Plus. Its pretty much a 1 for 1 switch except the stream deck plus isnt limited to just audio controlling like the Beacn is.

It's not available in the elgato website either, they don't tell you during the order but it's a backorder. I placed my order June 16, didn't know it was a backorder (its not clearly informed on the checkout process), it was after a few days that I took a look at the order status, and at first it said it would be available July 3, then July 13, then July 16, then 17... now it's July 20. I honestly dont know what to do, it's just not acceptable.

You will need to look up instructions for your specific motherboard

Also, your motherboard may or amy not even have a TPM module.

If it does, you enable it in the BIOS per the instructions for your motherboard

if you type sysinfo in the windows search box and hit enter, your motherboard will be listed there.

Anyone ever have the issue with the Wave XLR and DX microphone not working and having no audio output? It ONLY works if the phantom 48v power is ON. Once you turn that off then boom nothing it's just dead and not working at all. Very very odd :/

Seems pretty standard to me.
Developing for iOS gets the application in more hands for the least amount of work. The android ecosystem is so fragmented that it requires a ton more effort to get it to the same amount of people.
They have already said it will come eventually to android but no ETA.

Hi @obtuse flume , nice to meet you. I'm qualified in civil engineering but I've done a lot of drawings for structures and geotech in the past. Up until now I've only used a 3Dconnexion mouse and since moving to C3D I've looked at their 3D spacemouse controllers, but decided the stream deck looked more versatile with general use and better value.
What software/hardware do you use? Do you use a SD for work? and what's your most used tool on your profile?

I'm so used to using my keystrokes to start commands I have yet to really dive into the SD's capability, I do utilize it to open a lot of the documents I reference and titleblocks I work out of frequenty. I'm not familiar with alot of that 3D stuff but it sounds like fun, I work out of autoCAD primarily, hoping to jump into Revit soon!

The truth of the matter that android fanboys seem to want to ignore is that development on iOS IS in fact a safer bet. The android market might be larger but it is fragmented to a crazy degree. The largest market on Android is Samsung who hold about 33% and even those devices vary wildly.
