My main issue is that the alerts are not in the files

But the store says they have alerts
(Not sure if it states transitions as well cause I'm on mobile right now but if so, those aren't in the files either)

The alerts will be in a folder called "One Click Setups" and then either StreamElements or Streamlabs depending on which platform you'd like to set them up on

look for a folder that might have assets or labeled alerts, if you're doing them individually, but correct 1 click setups work with streamlabs, and stream elements. thing is is you're using casterlabs, you'll have to use the assets files. you're gonna have to go through each folder till you find it.

I'm having an issue with the Marketplace.

I had to wipe and rebuild my computer and reinstall my software. Once done I attempted to grab the plugins I used from the Marketplace and it won't take my password. However, if I go to https://elgato.com/ and enter my username/password there it works without any problems. I couldn't remember and thought maybe I needed a separate account for the marketplace. So I attempted to create a new account and then received an error that my E-mail was already associated with an account. So I'm stuck at the moment. Any ideas?

Hi Bleeman, the Marketplace and Elgato.com accounts are indeed two different emails. There should be an option to reset your password when you login to the Marketplace page here: https://account.elgato.com/auth/realms/mp/login-actions/reset-credentials?

Interestingly enough I followed the link in the email I received and it showed my current password already prefilled in the reset option. So as a tests I just said to use that one. Sure enough I could now login without a problem. Not sure what happened unless something corrupted my login and the reset cleared it up. Thanks again for the help!

I have an issue where the Marketplace (and most of the main Elgato website, actually) won't format correctly and some pages are blank or aren't showing what/how their supposed to. I'm using Chrome on Windows 10 in the US region. I have already tried disabling my adblocker (Malwarebytes), but that doesn't change anything on the webpage (yes, I reloaded the page after doing so). There are screenshots below that show what the pages look like. Any thoughts?

All of the multi-actions are not able to use any icon from the streamdeck software icon collection. You can choose your own image directly from your harddrive without any problem. This affects all 3 multi-actions, my software build is version 6.7.0.

question about the Twitch by Elgato plugin. I wanted to use the stream deck to help me when I mod another streamer's twitch stream. I know with the Twitch Tools by Barraider, if you do the send message option, it allows you to select the specific channel you want the command to go to. Is it possible to do that with the Elgato plugin? When I look at it all I see is just my linked account and I'm assuming if I went "add new" I would need the other streamer's account name and password to link my deck to in order to send commands like !socials or !spoilers so that the bot in the channel will run the command correct?

Those are questions for #wave-audio - Marketplace if for the plugins Marketplace. Wave Link can be activated by any Wave USB product (Wave:1, Wave:3, Wave XLR, Wave Neo), or a Stream Deck+
You can use it even if there's no mic attached yes. Anything that shows up to Windows as an audio input, including other mics can be added in with effects.
Wave DX is not required for Wave XLR - Wave XLR can work with just about any XLR mic.
The mic doesn't include an arm, but has adapters to fit a standard boom arm like the PSA1. It also does not include the XLR cable (though it IS avilable on the Elgato Store as a bundle with both an arm and a cable)

So I found an interesting bug, apparently if you have Arc as your browser, Elgato Marketplace in the app doesn't launch when clicking the icon, but when it's set to Brave or another browser, it does. Is there a whitelist that just doesn't recognize Arc as a valid browser?

Ah it sounds like it could be a bug which would be great to report. I just checked and he does have an email address to contact for support. If you go to the Plugin page and click Contact Maker, you'll see the gmail address. This is my best suggestion to get help from him.

Actually @topaz trellis this might be the fix. I looked into it further via his GITHUB page. It looks like ROKU made an update in December:

"As of Roku OS 14.1, the Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Control by mobile apps feature must be set to "Enabled" for a Roku device to receive ECP-1 commands."

yes, but its a little difficult to work with when i have the perfect sound, but its still too quiet, i use an sm7b but i need to keep my (quite loud & quite close) fan out of the microphone so i have the compressor and noise removal going but its then too quiet, even with the equalizer setup to be louder, it makes the quality worse. which is ok for obs because of their expander, but nothing for things like Discord/other recordings

Are you looking for any expander, or to see one added by Elgato to the Marketplace? If the former, Wave Link supports third party VSTs, (and AUs on mac) - you just have to make sure they're in the configured VST folders found in the settings.

For an expander, I'm not sure offhand as I'm not currently using one - you could check over in #wave-audio . JnTracks is a bit more up on plugins than I am and might have a good idea, and is usually pretty active over there.

Aside from that, I sometimes hit up music and podcast subreddits for plugin suggestions when the marketplace doesn't have what I need. There's a big overlap with podcasting for audio plugins (and general voiceover work), when it comes to streaming, that you can usually take suggestions from.

When you hit the "add to wave link" button it just downloads the file into the default common file VST directory (if you're on Windows)
If that doesn't work then you can go "manage account" then hit "products" and then if you click on the VST you can download the file directly from the window that pops up there

Elgato's VST Effects are made to be used in real time with their own Microphones, you'll likely have a better result using other plugins for musicproductions that don't need real-time monitoring.

Hi Martijn, if you are talking about downloading the plugin file directly without it opening Stream Deck, you can navigate to https://marketplace.elgato.com/account/products on your account and click any product to produce the download arrow. Double clicking this file after you've downloaded it will install it into the Stream Deck. We call this sideloading.

Ok, looking at the log file, OBS isn't even attempting to load the plugin, which leads me to beleive the installation didn't work properly. Are you using a normal OBS install (e.g.- you used the OBS installer), or are you using a portable install? (if you are not sure, it is probably a normal install)

I think you have to enable Maker Tools in the plugin options

Open the main Marketplace Connect window from the menu, and click the settings button (the cog next to the login/logout button in the upper right). In that menu there is a checkbox for "Enable Maker Tools." Click that checkbox, and restart OBS, and you should see the Import and Export options in the tools menu.

It's a file you can import anywhere, so long as that other OBS instance has Marketplace Connect installed and "Enable Maker Tools" turned on

A lot, but not quite everything. It will grab all of your scenes, any attached media files, scripts and filter settings. The 2 limitations on that right now- if you're running a script that includes other files, those will not be collected, and if you're using a browser source with local HTML, and those html files reference other files, those wont be collected.

The photoshop plugin was updated and now its severely affecting my photoshop. When I am switching documents the streamdeck plugin is resetting my active tool to the paint brush.

This severely affects my productivity and is detrimental my photoshop workflow.

I know that its the plugin as when I uninstall it the issue goes away however I use the buttons for other items.

I'm experiencing the same issue as Mórrígan, tabbing between 2 or more documents switches to brush tool. Also, I would like to point out that the Rotation View Tool does not work as expected. I should rotate the view, not change the Canva dimensions in order to rotate. Here is a recording showing what is happening. I hope the dev team can make this works as expected, or at least make it work like Wacom does.

It looks like they fixed it. However it appears to have created a new intermittent problem with printing.

Hard to describe but when I go to print it says it’s unable to rasterize the smart object which happens even on documents without smart objects.

The Adobe article that it takes me to is to be sure the app and all plugins are up to date and your plugin was the only thing that changed recently. I have an up to date Adobe.

Note that it only applies to Wave USB devices like Wave:3, Wave Neo, Wave XLR, and XLR dock for Stream Deck+ - if you're using something like a third party USB mic, you cannot use Voice Focus with it.

Hi @bleak stump the Marketplace account is what manages the connection between our Storefront and the Stream Deck software and acts as a cloud-based solution to manage plugins and other Elgato products. It does things like manage your plugin updates when there's a new version, deep link (one click installs) products and gives the creators of plugins an easier way to submits and manage their products. It also tracks any products you own on your account settings tab so that you can always find and download it again the future.

I know it's no fun to always have to sign up for accounts when you're using software. But this account is what connects to our system to help us keep your software and products up to date.

Im trying to add the Elgato Marketplace Connect Plugin to my OBS and i have downloaded and installed it but its not showing up in my OBS, i have tried troubleshooting but cant seem to figure it out. im following the steps exactly as listed on the Elgato site. Any help is appreciated

Hi Johnny, what version of OBS do you have running? One thing to note is that the plugin will not work on OBS Classic.

I would also recommend to make sure that you restart OBS after the install. The OBS Connect plugin will appear within the Tools tab and you can select and open it there.

Looking at this, this might currently only work for setups packed as Scene Collections, not the standard overlay downloads - this would explain why those two free ones are showing up for you, they're scene collections. Regular Overlay downloads appear to be manual setup still, since they don't have the additional setup info from a Scene Collection where they're already setup, just the assets ( to do so, extract the files add the images from them to your scene in OBS as either image (for non-animated), or media source (for animated ones))

I have to check that though as the reddit thread for it mentions overlays.

I've only ever setup basic overlays, but generally you're going to have to open them in windows to see what the file looks like and add it in.
Add them as image for file formats like PNG, and media source for video ones like mp4, mov.

Some of these are designed to work with other tools like Stream Elements or the like to put actual text on them too

Eg, I just grabbed a free one to test some things - there's nothing in the overlay to fill in the text really, so you'd use another tool like Streamelements to fill in the boxes, on top of the overlay image

It's tied into whatever the plugins you're using can do. Things like scenes, audio control, saving replay buffer, are the most commmon. But it can also trigger different things being visible, so you could trigger a media source to be visible and start it playing (by pairing visibility and media source controls on a multi action button)

The Streamlabs plugin adds things like being able to pop up alerts too, or trigger things like the wheel spin

Not on marketplace no, so far it's only the Elgato plugins that are there. You have to find a VST plugin somewhere else, there's millions of them.

Also, keep in mind that it will sound horrible even if you do, solution is to be closer to the mic.

Have anyone had the issue where the Discord plugin does ask for authorization when clicking request access?

If you're getting Discord authorization issues, the usual steps for authorization failures, and authorization resets, are first to remove it from the Discord authorization settings and add/test it again by re-adding the action to you Stream Deck. Make sure you have the latest version of the plugin (requires signing into Marketplace in the app) because Discord's API updates semi-regularly including the auth setup.

If that fails:

Uninstall Discord, rename the %appdata%\Discord folder to something different, and reinstall it. This usually fixes a repeating authorization issue. Don't delete the old folder in case you need to put it back, or have to get support involved as it contains useful logs. This should prevent Discord from getting tripped up in leftover data from previous authorizations can can cause it to retrigger. Rebooting between the uninstall and reinstall is also suggested to make sure none of the old files are locked open.

Failing that if it still keeps resetting the authorization, back up your Stream Deck profiles, and note installed plugins, uninstall the app, then rename the %appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck folder to something like StreamDeck_old - again don't just delete it in case you need to put it back or contact support if there's still issue past that. After that reinstall the app again.

That's a better question for #stream-deck - but just use the Capture button to capture the keys you want to press. For longer macros you might have to type it out

Sorry for the late response, but my answer is - unfortunately, no.
The mentioned action is for killing the instance only if something goes wrong.

However, I have a solution for you.
What you will need is the multiaction instance, which will contain actions such as opening an application of your choice, followed by a delay depending on the app's boot time, and then the command "hotkey" with the following key combination: Win + Arrow Down. Please see the attached screenshot.

With the last SD update, you can set separate button actions with the plugin "Open Application" to bring up a minimized application, since they will all be minimized once the chain of commands is executed. If you want to minimize the app again, then you will need to create a switch action - first click to bring up, and then second to minimize the app again with the same key combination mentioned before.

At the end of the work day, you can set a chain of commands that will close all open applications as well and shut down pc if needed.

If you are on a budget just go for the classic lp mic arm. It is great too. Its main issue that it can sag if you try to adjust it without opening the clamps. Thats where the gas spring comes in handy. But tbh. i modified mine with a few 3d printed washers, and this fixed a lot of the problems i had.

Someone on the Marketplace team should in theory see this and be able to investigate, but frankly I think it's more likely an instance of a bug making its way to the published version. I'm not entirely sure why it'd be creating those temp files in the first place, but the fact they're all zero bytes suggests to me that it's trying to clear some data it writes there but isn't quite able to fully do so for some reason. Could be as simple as a typo somewhere.

If it's written in JS, I might try taking a look at the code to see if anything stands out

Im having a weird issue with elgato marketplace plugin for OBS. Wasn't sure if messaging here or OBS was better.

Right now my process is going to OBS Studio -> Elgato Marketplace Connect -> (You don't own any scen collection products yet) -> Click Explore Marketplace -> Web browser opens up in external window to browse and download stuff from marketplace.

When I choose an overlay for example to download, it downloads as a zip. The path im storing this zip in is C:....\AppData\Local\Elgato\MarketplaceConnect\SceneCollections.

Ive tried both leaving it zipped and extracting the files from the zip, but ultimately, they wont show up as a product I have in the marketplace connect plugin.

Any help or suggestions?

You'll want to make sure you are searching for products in the "Scene Collections" category here: https://marketplace.elgato.com/obs/scene-collections
These won't download as a ZIP and instead will prompt you to open the file in OBS which will then add it to your product list within the Marketplace Connect Plugin

Everything outside of the Scene Collections category currently isn't supported by the Marketplace Connect Plugin
Most Overlays on Marketplace will likely contain an OBS Studio JSON file that will allow you to install everything through the default OBS setup steps, depending on the Maker they will have different setup guides or steps however

I'm trying to install the Elgato crown counter and get the hot keys to work

My first attempt to install failed to have useful hotkeys as i apparently didn't install the font type correctly i just had it stored in a desktop file so I would get error messages

I uninstalled the counter script from OBS and installed the font directly to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
I reinstalled the counting crowns win counter to OBS

I closed and reopened obs and its working

I set the hotkeys in settings to Ctrl shift 1 for up, ctrl shift 2 for down and ctrl shift 3 for reset

the problem is the hotkeys don't work manually or on the stream deck to change the number up down and i am not getting an error message

Any help getting the hoy keys working would be greatly appreciated. With that please understand i am 55 years old, and a little slow on pc tech stuff and discord

I got the new Mic Arm MK2 and included the Voice Focus plugin. When I went to the site I thought when clicking buy it would ask me for the code but it didn't and charged it to my credit card on file. Also I got the one for Windows when I use Mac.

When it comes to commercial software development, development usually stops supporting older OSes when the devs can no longer get support from the maker of the OS (or whatever other tool they rely on). If something breaks or they need support to handle maintaining compatibility or something it's no longer there - not being able to get support for Win 10 doesn't just apply to consumers now that it's End of Life.

Same sort of reason Stream Deck now officially lists Win 11 as a requirement (it'll still work on 10 currently, but official support is dropped on newer versions, because some dev support and tooling is no longer available if there are problems, or if changes for Win 11 or use of future Win 11 features breaks it for 10).

I understand that but Windows 10 JUST ended and they know many people out here are not upgrading to Win 11 anytime soon. If it does actually run on Windows 10, they might want to mention it. If they do not intend on supporting Windows 10 already, than I see no reason to buy because I don't just jump up and rush to upgrade systems here. What's next? A few years and MS does Win12 and no longer will Win11 be supported? I can understand no longer support old OS like Win 7 but Win 10 is still in mainstream use.

Did you actually call in or go through the ticketing system yet? There is official help, some are even occasionally on the social media outlets when time allows, but the first point of contact if you need Elgato's direct support is the call center or the ticket system. If you're in a rush, go through the phone number in the link in the #official-tech-support channel - they're open 10 AM to 5 PM Pacific time, so should be available there now

They do also test stuff - but yeah sometimes stuff makes it through the cracks

To have two versions of the app have a problem with an first party scene pack is definitely odd though - they're probably going to want the logs to see what's different on your system compared to the test bed

Hi. I'm using my Elgato Stream Deck mk.2 for streaming, hotkeys to open dif brwosers and emojis etc.. Lately the 2 last days my Emoji Picker (BarRaiders) acting funny.. I got a question. I have a plug in called Super Macro, and one of the functions/macro is not working it keeps resetting. Is it because of this known issue affecting it? Specifically "Mouse Location" detects monitor coordinates

yes all plugins of baraider had issue and a fix was updated on market but now market doesnt let u download it

So, as the king of being patient lol, I have come to ask a question again that I am unsure of where to ask.

Marketplace Connect... When I try to export my OBS scenes and source I get a never ending wheel that spins and spins and the last time I did it it spun for 13 hours before I gave up and closed it. It just does this forever... I have not once been able to successfully export my OBS scenes and sources.

So I guess to sum it up my question was is it normal for it to take this long to export? I get that I have 30 something scenes and around 200 something sources but as far as assets needed go it is 1 stinger transition avi and one mp4 video.

13 hours just seems a little insane. Would appreciate some clarity on whether this is normal behavior or something is wrong.

It should definitely not take that long to export. It should be less than a few minutes.

Are you seeing anything in the log files? The scenes and sources should be fine. are the stinger transition or mp4 particularly large (like multiple gigabytes?). I've seen issues like this pop up when there are media files over a couple of gigabytes in size.

the stinger itself is a few gigabytes yes, and I would love to deselect it but there is no option to. So how would I go about removing it from the export process to see if that fixes the issue?

Aside from removing it from my OBS setup entirely.

I actually just used media encoder to encode it as a webM which is much much smaller in file size, going through every single thing to change the stingers over and then I will see if it works

You're welcome. The problem was that the zip was hanging up due to the very large file (so it would have never finished), but due to the zip library we're using, it does so silently. I'm looking for a better way to do this for the future, and appreciate you bringing the issue to our attention. Glad you've got it working now.

I mean it makes sense and I think the easiest fix with least work needed would just be to put in a catch where if the operation runs for longer than say 5 minutes it produces a splash screen that says something went wrong and a notice that says “Make sure you have no media files greater than ** “ or something.

Would at least buy the team time to figure out if there is any permanent solution that would be better. No one should be trying to zip a 5 gig file anyway lol, I hadn’t even realized that the last time I restored OBS it fell back to that AVI file until you presented the culprit so not only did you fix this issue for me but also probably saved me some memory usage and CPU usage because that transition runs a lot. So thank you again 😊
