it’s not that the mods will get mad, but because the word can be uncomfortable to some in that context. if you continuously call someone fruity in a giant server with people of all ages when fruity was an offensive term two/three decades ago, someone is bound to raise an eyebrow. there are people in this server who were alive when the slang was used more to offend and make fun of gay people, describing someone as “insane/offensive/weird.”

even if an offensive term has been “reclaimed” recently by a younger generation, that does not mean that the history behind that word suddenly disappears for older generations. another thing is that not everyone here is part of the community and may start throwing the slang around with/without knowing the history behind it: it’s a bit obvious why people can get uncomfortable when a non-lgbt+ person calls a lgbt+ person fruity.

as a side note i genuinely don’t like the whole “don’t do this because mods will get mad.” instead, it’s better to describe to the other individual why something might not be suited for a public sky server for all ages rather than selling a one-dimensional caricature of a moderator. everyone here is human

(saying something will stay forever in an online game that may not last forever itself isn't good. I was playing a song on the guitar and someone listened for a bit then pulled out the guitar and started absolutely shredding it and playing over me. I was going to be done... we've seen private spaces within a normal 8 player server, such as shared space editing mode - it just hides you from others for a moment but doesn't establish a server of its own maybe a "practice mode" would work in a similar way

Honestly my suggestion/feedback for the sound issure in the music shop is to modify the instrument toggle in the sound menu in settings to only adust the volume of other players instruments. That way you can still enjoy your music while muting everybody else.

I do tend to accept when a player unlocks chat with me in case they need to go to office since i have that cape on me but what sucks is that language barrier. Sky is definitely about being social but i would to able to talk to people

A stranger some time ago wanted me to take them to office and i didn't have a translator to use so i ended up leaving them along. Then later when i checked what they said to me in Google translate, i felt bad that i didn't help them :(

hey guys i was just wondering, is there currently a feature in the music shop that would let you somehow change the key your instrument is in? if music sheets are available for practice, are all keys available from those? it would certainly make me visit the place a lot more if that was the case, it's so annoying when you wanna learn a song and play along with the real one but your instrument key is wrong and you'd have to find the right area to play along with the original key....

I just know music sheets set you on a key so they can be played as intended, having music muted helps preventing the key from changing (usually by the background music)
