if you're talking about bringing back ults, this topic has been brought up so often in the beta channels and there's been lots of ideas (like there being a requirement that you have to complete every traveling spirit from the season before you can buy the ult)
but in the end it's not our job to find a way to bring them back, we can propose ideas ofc but it's tgc that makes the decision in the end

I actually read once or watched a video of tgc staff talking about the development of the game, and iirc they actually have tried to make our skids the warmest and inviting color (they specifically mentioned red for that) compared to the environment so we would feel more comfortable with each other

Seems like an issue on your end. Nothing you can do but send a bug report and wait

The server error bug so far has only affected a handful of people, and there doesn't seem to be a specific trigger. If you really want to be able to play beta, you can link a new email and create a new account.
Otherwise, you just have to wait until it's more widespread and the devs can figure out how to fix it.

If we’re talking 2D animation, complicated patterns and color will definitely make things more difficult if you’re drawing said patterns frame-by-frame, whereas in 3D animation the patterns are usually applied to the model
Complicated patterns are difficult to animate on 3D models too, especially on things like capes so that they don’t end up getting distorted while flapping, but that’s still not the result of a color like orange

In terms of colors, there just sadly hasn’t been as much capes that are orange
Buuut there might be more yellow and orange than you expect, there’s certainly some!

Edit: changed some wording because I definitely didn’t mean to sound like I was trying to diss 3D animation here if I did, both methods of animation are hard and face their own set of difficulties I’ve animated things too

Pretty sure cause when Sky started it was only iOS so the #report-a-live-bug was the only live bug channel and when they ported other devices they added the other channels specific to each port.

Not sure why the iOS channel didn't get a name change, probably cause it was already well known as the iOS report channel. Also it's been a little while since I last reported a live bug, but iirc if you go to #report-a-live-bug skybot will still ask which device you're using so each report will still be filed in the correct channels. Just easier to keep track of things for QA devs and for players wanting to check for bugs etc.

I agree that the latest build of capes has lost the shoulder pads.

This is because if they had shoulder pads, they would clip even if you owned a variety of neck accessories, and you would not be able to enjoy a variety of coordinating styles.

By having a cleaner neck area, it will be easier to combine with the voluminous neck fur, which is also a Passage cosmetic, and you can combine neck accessories that have been implemented so far without much discomfort.

But it's the guide's mask... It makes sense for it to be an ult. The first quest was simply the guide calling for the kids to come to the campfire so it's not part of the trials they/we go through so I don't think it being an ult is really an issue in that regard

People were comparing the ult cape more to feathers and crows for a hot minute. I understand where Rixteria is coming from by saying the black pelt looking cape feels it would match more for an ult to the bear mask. It has the tassles that also match on the mask and the texture looks more like thick bear fur. I like the ult cape but it does feel kind of disconnected from the mask imo.

I don't see an issue with ults being what the guides wear or the props they have, if they were wearing the same items as the season spirits then they wouldn't stand out as the guide and if they were wearing something completely different but it wasn't available to us we'd complain 😭

I do think the bear pelt cape looks more in line with the mask, but I think with some more work the ult cape could appear more like the grizzly bear kind that they seem to be going for

It's actually not that detailed in my opinion. It's very basic when it comes to shapes and colors. It's just very textured. Kind of why I'm nota hug fan tbh. I hope they will make it a bit more complex and less textured so my phone doesn't turn into an oven.

Every other fluffy thing in the game is implied to be fluffy with "clumps" of geometry, whereas this cape is straight up fluffy

With the communities general age-group I wouldn’t take that stuff too seriously or too close to heart, when I got the tail I immediately thought of Mario and I knew a few other people did too. I haven’t seen people call the animal masks from Fortune “furry masks” (though I’m sure there is someone somewhere).

You can enjoy the tail without listening to other people! I just kinda stopped caring because there’s always that one person who says stuff and I really can’t care that much. 💀

Late to the convo, but I noticed people talking about misgendering. Tbh, I'm very used to being misgendered cuz I'm a girl who plays "boy's games". I would always meet new people in the games I played and almost every single one of them assumed I was a guy cuz everyone else they've met was a guy. Some people would get all toxic about me correcting them, but others took it okay. The weird part about getting misgendered in Sky, though, is the fact that my Sky kid is meant to be a boy. I always wear the Link hair (though with Bloom here I sometimes swap it out with the Bloom hair cuz I love it sm) and I usually try to dress androgynously, but there have been people who immediately assume I'm a girl and I just sit there like "How'd you know🤣" cuz again, my Sky kid is supposed to be a boy Ik that's not really misgendering, but tbh if I was a boy, it would be

Ngl, I do get similar from time to time. In a way, it kinda makes me miss my first gaming social environment (as bad as it was).

When I first started gaming as a kid, I was in the PC gaming crowd. That meant that in order to stay in the game and not be bullied or kicked from the match, I had to pretend to be who I was playing with - a young adult guy. It was great, if you played the part you could just focus on the game and have a good time, no extraneous personal chatter.

Now it's ingrained in me that it really doesn't matter how I present online. But in sky, especially when gender is a persistent question (even after my "Chaos" answers)... It's like feeling a target on you. When/if that devolves into the dating talk, it's like having a weight holding you down.

It's enough to feign bad internet connection and force a server split or log out.

They were as quests unlockables for one build at a placeholder price (999 normal candles) before being later removed for further improvements, so we're not entirely sure how we will obtain those masks in the future yet
