erm ngl sky is getting scarier to play, my friend just got ban with reason like using hack 3rd party while other player i met said they wwre ban for same reason but they never use hack so why did they get banned guhh

BATS!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!! They come and perch from your arms like how your Sky Kid would hold out their arms while the freed Manatees circle around you during Nature, and they’ll recharge you when they do. If you take flight, they’ll try to flap around after you. If you beep, they chitter back because you’re both technically using echolocation.

I can already imagine a little plotline. Some of the Spirits are afraid of the Light Bats because they got spooked by a group of some, but Light Whisperer wants to show them that bats aren’t scary, and are in fact cute little guys. And they ask us Sky Kids to help earn the trust of the bats and draw them out of hiding, eventually culminating in the Spirits realizing that the bats aren’t bad after all, and are actually helpful and adorable.

It keeps track of how much wax you've collected regardless of wether you've actually forged them or not

If you want more details about wax, i recommend the wiki's daily light page (this is the source for the values voidbean gave) and the pieces of light page (which tells you every way to get wax in the game)

The candles begin to double in price every step after the 18th candle
This makes going for 20 candles take a lot of time for not that much reward
The 20th candle alone is worth almost the entire grandma wax cap, equivalent to 20 candle cakes

So only go for 20 candles if you enjoy candle running
Not worth it otherwise

Alright it’s still a work in progress but basically the gist of it is this. They first initially fell down during enchantment (my moth season) and have been walking the realms since. Throughout the years they have grown and changed as the seasons have and lately has been asking the question, who are they? What mark do they want to leave on the realms? Then, Aurora appeared and they became inspired by her. They’ve always loved singing, and now there was a way to have their voices heard throughout the realms. As time went on, they spent their time singing across realms, meeting new people, and collecting things as time goes on

The season of flight mountains is a fav for me for just hanging out. The glowing grass, the music, the tunnels through the mountains n caves. Easy to reach from aviary and so many cozy nooks n crannies!

Also, aviary (particulary tower and secret cave near the portals), the little canyon above sanctuary waterfall, and the hidden glade in cresent oasis. But the hidden glade is a pain to reach so in reality me n my friend hangout in easier to reach spots.

And a OOB favorite is in vaults first area: sit down to go to the next level, but as the platform starts to rise, get off and glide back towards the spawn point (or through the 4p door toward pray spirit if it's open). Once you're out of the 'elevator shaft' you will just be able to walk around and everything turns a lovely brownish color. Do note, there's a couple parts where you'll still float back up and once you get sucked back up in the elevator shaft you can't go back down by yourself afaik!

I'm like, what do you mean? It's not hard for me. I get 20 candles a day for a while

Yeah! Graying out your candle takes a lot of time and effort, even if you take a route with ‘maximum efficiency’ and exhaust the wax pools of the geyser., Granny, and the turtle, you’ll still have to wait around a couple hours before it’s time to log on for the next rotation.

The fact you’re doing your best to remain dedicated to that task is no easy feat, and you should be proud of yourself for that! Personally, I find listening to something in the background while I play (like reviews of relatively obscure older video games) helps to break up the tedium and keep me from getting that feeling of “same old, same old” that candlerunning a bunch can inflict.

I do have them! I don’t use them much though, but that’s not because I don’t like them. It’s just that I’ve played for a long time and have acquired multiple different outfits, and I’m not the kind of person to switch up my Sky outfit every day, or even multiple times a day, so a lot of my pants sadly don’t get used as much.
If you think they look cute, can see yourself using them in the future, and can even imagine some nice outfit combos you could make with them, I’d say go for it! If not, well, they’ll return eventually.

i usually cr 17-18 but oddly enough im also baffled to people who cr until grey or 20

i know for sure the more u cr the more wax u need = more grind more time consumed, so i keep it between 17-18

so when someone complain they burn out because they cr EACH ENTIRE MAP (literally) everyday i was confused cuz- what do u expect? ofc you gonna get burn out faster that way

so i always advise them (burn out ppl) to take it easy "work smarter not harder", its ok to miss a few candles, lets not force ourselves to max when we cant keep up

I think one reason is that they expect it's more likely you already know someone if you add using a code, but when it's someone completely random, you might not want to give them full chat access yet? Just speculation though!

alright. new skid lore.
so i'm coming up with a cyberpunk reimagining of sky, heavily based of the TRON movies. cause, yknow, mantas look like the light jets, candles look like light batons, everything's light based, yk.

so, as with the tron comparison, everything that occurs in this world is simulated by a supercomputer within a sleeper starship that's floating in deep space.

my skykid, Arché, which means "beginning" i think, was basically a courier that helped accompany shipments across the wastelands (because flying's not an option because of krill and turbulence, which means only transport convoys work). In other words, my bro is krill bait.

He gets heavily injured by a krill while accompanying a shipment at one point, and his candle identification (what i'm calling those red candles the skykids can manifest) fractures and corrupts, which means he's undocumented.

a group that also happens to be undocumented and have corrupted candles are the Ordo Renati, which, due to their exposure to high amounts of darkness at the bottom of the wasteland sea, where their underwater headquarters are stationed, also mean that their identification candles have corrupted. these guys are also enemies of the skyworld, or really, enemies of the state [resh]. so arche also becomes an enemy of the state by association because of all the relevant signs.

some notes-- corruption in the identification candles is a path to several abilities the uncorrupted would perceive to be unnatural, such as--

• the ability to glitch through solid surfaces
• the ability to manifest hard-light implements, such as climbing tools, swords, spears, literal cubes of just. hard light material
• improved reflexes
• the ability to teleport at will
  corruption in the identification candles also leads to symptoms of dissociation, insomnia, and occasionally, insanity.

there's a ton of lore i've left out, cause eepy, but if ya wanna hear me out...
