Ironically, though, I'm one of the folks here who actually likes the dye-gathering system! Mostly.

I don't like feeling obligated to burn plants though, I will for friends but regular wax takes priority given my limited playing time with grad school now. Especially when the dye plants just reset often.

I think what I like about it is, it gives me an excuse to actually be engaged when I CR. Like I actively have to look for plants instead of just zoning out and going through the motions. It also definitely improves the heck out of dull, dry, boring Wasteland.

ill just say idk how many skykid ocs id have but it could easily get up to 40s or more that the amount of dyed outfits u can have just does not suffice enough

especially when u dont get refunded like half of the dyes plus i want to dress as my ocs without any issues

If you open up your emote menu, then click the button that looks a little like the gateway, that'll take you to your chosen home! From there, you just go into the leftmost portal.

what might've been better is to just have butterflies flying free in the wild and have them immediately dab you when you approach. and have the butterflies fly around from place to place, make you chase after them! and because they're not bound to plants they could be made to be found floating over clouds, hovering over water, etc!

To be fair, though, Abyss also had great ambiance to make up for it, I think. And good lore, though not a lot I understand.

Moments is kind of the harbinger of the mechanical seasons to me, but at the same time, I don't find it too terribly objectionable? It was the first of a long string of them, and it was a nice, chill season after the extremely melancholy Remembrance and the very overwhelming Passage.

Truth be told, I did the very same thing when I was starting out. I wanted to go back to Isle and couldn't figure out how. I only realised what I needed to do when I outright ended off for the night and rebooted the game to find myself at Home.

Honestly my only issue with Radiance is the fact the colorful butterflies react to Calls. If they want you to use the emote they should force the emote and make them not to respond to calls instead of just copy pasting regular butterfly code and changing their color.

You can do it! If it helps, watch the Krill’s patrol path for a couple minutes so you know which way it goes. That way, if you spot it, you’ll know it’s coming towards you and can book it out of the way of it’s spotlight in time.

The shimps never show up until you light the diamond in front of the temple gate, and even if you’ve merged into a server where it’s already been lit, the cutscene where they wake up and start approaching doesn’t play until you get close enough to the gate. Worst comes to worst, you’ll still have time to book it through the gate even if you’ve run out of cape energy.

Back in my butterfly days, I gave Krills silly names to help myself be less scared of them. The first Krill you encounter in Wasteland was Kristopher, the 4 in the graveyard were Krystal, Kellog, Krill Clinton, and Krunchy, and the three Krills who show up when you light the temple gate were Krispy Kreme, Kartography, and Bob.

My Japanese friend Heno has thalassophobia too. I made sure to always wait to do the Abyss quests with her so I could be there as emotional support. I don’t know if I still have the screenshot, my brother might have deleted it from the Switch to make space. But I remember making it through the flooded underwater section of the lighthouse with her during the quest where you have to go there, and once we made it out, she told me she wasn’t as scared as she otherwise would have been because I was there with her.
It’s one of my most treasured memories of Sky.
