Basically a day or two ago, my skid wouldn't stop praying/ doing the candle reset animation

After I made the mistake of forging my candles, it stopped. But now, the game acts as if daily reset for candles isn't happening at all. I've been stuck on a "gray candle" for two days now. Any effort I do on candle running is wasted because my candle counter acts as if I'm on a gray candle.

I lost all of my November candles and I only have 20 (haven't been able to forge anything at all because it keeps resetting) actually should have more than 300.

I work in a mall and I'm gonna be working from 9to23, I wanted to save as much as possible because Christmas is hellish for me

I have always used to claim my candles at the end of the month, never had an issue with it.

When I did that yesterday, before I was visibly affected by the bug, they just disappeared. I got none.

I’m ok. I saw Aurora in concert in the freezing cold. Then my Sky kid got hit with the refresh bug the day after. I went to school early to finish a project but the area is packed so there’s no room for me to work. It’s been wild. (Aurora was so good though )

I checked my Switch the first day I got the refresh bug, and it was still broken. I believe the bug is account related, not server related though so you’re safe.

It’s hard to tell, because Wasteland represents industrialism and the failure it’s brought to the world. Most likely there is some global warming element (no snow as Valley has despite a similar location) but there’s no tech actually working, though the krill sound mechanical so idk it’s a mystery

I guess tbf the spirits before Wasteland ruined it, not necessarily the ones there. They’re victims of the greed & exploitation of nature.

My head canon: it’s like a swamp. In the day, it’s hot, humid, and smell of krill’s and decay. In the night, it’s windy, desolate, and cold. The temperature drops to a freezing point, but the waste waters is too thick to freeze over.

When the Shattering group came, people mentioned the krill have a ball in their mouth (which is the light that detects us) which makes you wonder who put it there & why. Also some krill are smaller in memories (which could also be device limitations tbf) so it could once again be corruption.

my imagining of what happened in wastekand : its sort of like the effects of global warming . its desert that was exploited for natural resources , maybe oil or something ( because we know they need light , oil = power / fire . also the water is black ? ) also possibly something radioactive was put there because its so empty . you can see all the pipes and things there . possibly someone tried to set up a civilisation - there are lots of ruins - but exposure to radiation made uninhabitable . the creatures there mostly died out and the stronger ones that survived are in constant pain -the light hurts them , which is why they attack skids , also partially as revenge . the krills seem to be partially mechanical ? maybe they were created as weapons and it went wrong. the plants there became affected by the darkness / radiation as did the water which mixed with the oil , and soon the few people left were the children of the original generations , desperately trying to undo the mistakes of their ancestors while the land is turned against them .

I don’t really care too much about the lore. I find it sufficient enough & having watched Journey play throughs a lot and other simple narrative games, many don’t hold your hand and feed you the story, which is good for those games. It’s also nice to hear how in depth or vague people are with it. (I’m generally not bothered either way. I am excited for “Two Embers” though )

there was an idea where she paints and enchants a Kitsune mask at a natsu matsuri to help her manage this ability better
after messing around and pretending to be other characters, she eventually runs into a lost child
she transforms into the child's favourite superhero, helps the child, and upon realising that the parents wanted to abandon the child, she goes off on them as the superhero
needless to say, core memory formed

one of my sky kids was just an unfortunate (?) star that fell into the hidden forest instead of the aviary village, living in the underground caves to avoid all the rain and effectively raising himself in the wilds alongside all the wildlife.

being basically isolated from civilization, he did grow up rather strange, but eventually leaving the caves allowed him to learn how to speak at the very least. he still doesn't understand a handful of social conventions, like the idea of owning things, but hes getting there :o)

as for his name, he was only given one recently by an ancestor spirit that he was travelling with for a good while, sharing stories and life experiences and whatnot. whoever or wherever they are now, they gave him the name Melesota, based on something he did that he very proudly shares with anyone he meets: he gained the trust of the forest's resident whale enough to ride it

out of character though, Melesota is a name I came up with while working under two conditions: 1. the name has to follow the "standards" of sky names, as per the nickname randomizer 2. it can't just be a real name, it has to be a distortion or merging of something

They were connected by their backs, so lumni would always follow in reverse, quite literally in somas shadow. I agree. I'd rather a solid game than being scared every time there's a new patch, also more transparency on the decisions they're making because a lot has been counterintuitive to the Keynote's talk of candle runs being "more enjoyable."

Hi Cozy! Kraken back with bug info. (Disclaimer: Might not affect all players)

So the "constant prayer" bug happened to me too just now! But only after I entered Harmony Hall.It triggered the welcoming cutscene. From that point onward, the prayer became constant.

Maybe the bug is linked to Days of Music.

Logging off and re-trying did not resolve the bug. So if you can, keep out of Harmony Hall!

I'm not saying that is right to be vitriolic about it (It's not) but this is a legitimately game breaking bug. And combining the bug giving trouble to collect (Or straight up deleting!) candles with the economy problems of the game I could totally see why people are getting upset, not to mention that this problem has being going around for like a week now, and more and more people are getting it

Yeah the windpaths bug activates if you leave while in the wind tunnel that carries your around

I know that bug allowed you to actual access beta release homespace at one point due to something called arbitrary code execution

Thing is, that bug is incredibly risky so yea
