Guys idk where to discuss this but here it goes, on the recent post of sky Insta majority of the comments were people demanding for the daily candles collection limit to be increased which is now at 20? I wanted to know what your opinions are... I think 20 is a good number, Maybe make it easy to collect those 20 candles but increasing candles limits only cuz people will be missing out on the shattering spirits group .. is little crazy.

I agree. It takes about 2 hours to just hit 20. Maybe making those final ones less difficult to obtain, like you said, would help (especially those of us with hectic schedules ) but increasing the amount could be a bit much, especially if they’re harder to get.

(Also not everyone needs or wants everything at Shattering either. )

Perhaps increasing the number of candles obtained per chevron like 6 per arrow or something. I'm not sure if it'll make collecting them much longer when the point of chevrons is to avoid players from taking more time to grind instead of socialising

Lemme try to rephrase it

So
Basically
You start the day at 0 candles gained and gain more as the day progresses
The first candles take less wax to get than the last ones : meaning getting candles gets progressively harder throughout the day

The game shows this, using the chevrons (little arrows), on your candle
But these do not show the whole story

The chevrons indicate that there's changes at 5, 10 and 15 candles respectively
However there's also other changes
A slight increase at 18, then the price doubles for 19, then doubles again for 20
After 20 your candle goes grey, and the 21st candle is again doubled in price

Does this make more sense?
The main thing i'm getting at is this : getting that many candles starts to mean each individual candle takes way, way more work than the previous candles you got that day

Maybe it'll convey the info more easily than a textwall

I wanna add that TGC made the chevron system to limit how many candles players can get per day so they could manage cosmetic prices better rather than having to increase them alongside the increase in candles you can get per day when new wax sources are added, since there used to be no limit & it was just 150 wax per candle. Another aim of it was to make it quicker to get a good chunk of candles in a shorter timeframe for those unable to play more. I’d probably have to go digging for the blog post about it from back then

The fact it was that much per day max is why TGC settled to make that the cap when they added chevrons. There is much more wax available now, so if they hadn’t added chevrons, then the amount you can get daily would have increased.

To be honest the game design of sky encourages this issue so much, that's why i often complain about pricings and TS
The game creates massive FOMO for its community, and as such the uber grind mindset has ingrained itself into the community because many people are not good at dealing with FOMO

Tip for any Shattering moths! Play the manta sheet with the Assembly kids if you can. That's a sheet that changes tone with a larger group. Alone it kind of sounds majestic, yet melancholy. As a group, it sounds really playful and airy.

OMG what a coincidence ! ! We say in french when we meet someone in an unexpected place that "the world is small" but what just happened is crazy ! !
So I always go to the social space in GWL to play the piano, and yesterday before sleep someone I didn't light was on the edge listening with the chime prop.
After a while I stop playing and go put the star prop from Little Prince next to them and grab the guitar, going back to my place. It was cute because we had some space between each other, usually people come close but this person listened from a distance. Seeing I used the star for them, they put the chime next to me.
I played a little longer and before closing the game, I go light them to say 'thanks, good bye' in emotes. They had a unique style with the mask from season of moments. I go to bed after the goodbyes and this morning I open the game and again, gwl piano etc. After a little while someone sit kinda from a distance and put the chime... Im like "'nah, could it be?" 🤔 But i keep playing and when it's time to close, same I go to them to light etc. And it was them again ! ! We were able to recognize each other, it was too funny and such a lovely "coincidence". Anyway, that's all I got for today, happy CR 🕯️
