They even explicitly mentioned that they were testing new tech during the anniversary event that would (in theory) allow players to share what they're doing across sessions, globally, to everyone on the map. Think of it like Aurora's concert, but you're AURORA, and everyone else gets to see what you're doig.

i dont super mind the festival tech as long as it's in places that make sense, (though the crowds do overwhelm me if theyre very big) but i really, really wish they would add an option to turn it off for those who dont like it. since aurora ive seen so many people say how they find it overstimulating and uncomfortable and that it drives them away from participating in events, but nothing has been added to make things easier for them.

I love Sky so much, everyone is so kind and considerate compared to any other game I've played.
I was playing a different game not too long ago, and just yesterday, I had given someone 700 In game currency to get them a rare item they needed. Now, 700 IGC is a lot in that game. I had to trade millions of items to get what this person needed.
So... Today, (let's call this person J) J comes around and says that I promised to pay them 500 more IGC, because apparently I had given the other 500 to another friend?? Which, I never made any other trades that day. I remember trading them exactly 700 IGC that costed about 630k items. I gave them these resources out of the kindness of my heart, and they tried to scam me and exploit my kindness.

The only home and game I need is Sky, since no one ever tries to do such a thing to me there. I love you all for being who you are.

Another thing for me was the lack of trading in Sky. I came over to Sky from Animal Jam and Fer.al and omg trading was so high pressure, scams everywhere, and lots of exposure to entitled and mean people. Here, I love being able to save candles at my own pace and earn what I want. TS returning counteracts a rarity system to a degree and seasons are super long and slow paced, there's plenty of time to chill

Well, it's not really hacks IIUC; it's more of using external tools or otherwise modifying the game client code to gain an unfair advantage.

But, it could also be people exploiting existing game mechanics. Stuff like the white candol+piggyback trick, which is fine normally, hurts competition imo. Chibi falling, too.

but the only difference at the end was everyone gets the same reward + the person who did the most steps forward, and that's it
so it was very much like, you can be competitive if you want to but they don't like, make the winner stand out disproportionately

somewhat late reply but i have two favourites: cackling canonneer and light whisperer
canonneer was my favourite because when i was first getting into sky, i watched someone play the abyss quests in a video from when they came out, and i loved their chaos and their storyline was so nice (their hair was also my favourite because i love viking style items and neutral looking hairs)
light whisperer because i just love the idea of a character who really loves and connects with birds, they seem so calm and pretty to me, and honestly give me gender envy; their colour scheme is really lovely and their hair looks so fluffy (and again, is super gender neutral)
i also quite like the idea of them meeting and being friends cause they're very opposite characters

At first it was because of their design, very 1800s gentleman to me for some reason and I liked that during that time I was struggling with depression and low motivation, and since I didn't have anyone in Sky at the time or in person he was the only one to give me hugs in harmony hall I used to "hang out" with him and the rest of the crew imagining little dialogue and stories and it made me feel less lonely. I also love how expressive and silly he is like gosh!! And most of all caring.

Even though I have people I hang out with in sky I make sure to go to harmony hall sometimes and give him a hug everyday because i'm so thankful <3

When I started Sky, I was technically led into the game by a veteran, but they were largely hands-off in teaching me things. Like so many moths, I was clumsy and clueless, and stumbled around pretty aimlessly; eventually someone mentioned a place called the Wind Paths to me, and how they connect everywhere-- this was not long after my first Eden run as well, so I was a little on edge!
So they showed me where the entrance is, and there I find not only the four coolest spirits in the game, but a large open area and a questline focused around flying and restoring the pathways that once held the Kingdom together; all under the tutelage of her. I quickly learned flying thanks to the questline and her guidance; and said questline actually felt like I had a direct effect on the state of the Kingdom.
She was also the first Spirit and Season Guide where I learned I could hug them
And then she shows up in the Aviary to help me pick out clothes! I like to think we often debate about how aerodynamic the different capes are... or where Light Whisperer's other glove went

I personally just grab wl back passively throughout the week while I do candle runs/daily quest runs. Works for me to get up to 170-190 wl before Sunday.

If it helps, you can always do each realm as they come up as dailies (isle and eden excluded in this of course)so you don't have to do all at once. Or if you don't have many wing buffs, you can just split it into a couple sessions. I got tired of the WL run myself and doing that helped
