I have noticed that the closer you are to their... mouth?? the more probable it is you'll lose a lot of winged lights.

Being close to their heads kinda makes like a kind of wind barrier that pushes you out

They also don't immediately notice you when you fly over and behind their necks, maybe kinda like eagles that have a small part behind their head they can't see?

I don't understand how people just spark up conversation and go from there in a game where chat is locked behind a paywall.

You cannot consciously decide to click with somebody, you simply have to get lucky enough to find the right people.

If you are desperately holding on to every single one of your candles, you can use chat furniture, or make friends here using a code.

Friendship through mutual struggles - assembly quests worked wonders for me making friends when I first joined sky 😭

But yeah, it turns out there's a lot to talk about when you meet someone and observe their behavior for a little while. Like that one player I met who insisted on bowing to every Spirit in greeting when we weren't busy.
Or that other one who went EVERYWHERE through the Wind Paths and never teleported! (Turns out they didn't want to leave me behind.)

I try to! Unfortunately some Wind Path connections don't warrant usage because they lengthen the trip instead of being shortcuts... (looking at you, Starlight Desert...)
I also make it a point to hug Flight Guide every time I pass through

Taking somebody there from elsewhere in Sky requires two teleports - both times requiring you to release their hands and wait for them to follow.

I'm awful at dodging, so usually I save myself the trouble, get far enough away where I won't lose all my wedges and just let them hit me then hop around trying to grab all my wl before the dark water or crabs get it

Other way is to have friends who will light your star. That adds up to your heart count.

I sort of headcanon that sky kids don't really remember anything in Eden (especially in PNR), but their bodies do. So they don't really remember being in Eden and to them it felt like it was just a bad dream, but they're deathly afraid of the place.

actually I have a cool headcanon around this convo-

Since my sona isn’t a skykid, she’s whatever species a god made from stardust is, she doesn’t follow the same world rules as skykids do, so she remembers Eden, but it’s more that she doesn’t actually die in Eden, just returns the winged light she’s collected to statues, then flies up to Orbit on her own terms. Thing is, when she first talked to Lyxaria about Eden, Lyxaria shut Sokai down about it until they got somewhere quieter without other Skykids around, which obviously confused her Lyxaria then explained to her that most sky children don’t remember Eden trips, only those blessed by the elders do. In my Sky lore, blessed by the elders refers to having an elder mask, which only one of each exists.

Just swinging by to share my Red Shard experience.

I arrived early. I decided to play Clock Town Final Hours from Majora's Mask as the timer ticked down for the shard's arrival. Watching the burning evil red halo of light engulf the screen as I watched the meteor's descent with that background music was truly fitting.

Until the tone and outcome completely changes when helpful randos come around and obliterate the darkness

Also one adorable chibi kept deep calling inside the Shattering memory where the jaws of the giant fish is until they made sure I reached the WL. Bless their souls

Seasons that have never made it to the live game, no. Seasonal spirits that are yet to show up as traveling spirits, yes. Performance, Shattering, Aurora, Remembrance, Passage, Moments, The Aviary and The Nine Coloured Deer. We will need to wait a long time for newer spirits to come back, unfortunately. I put Performance since the Frantic Stagehand was part of a special group of returning spirits instead of the usual two week routine.

The map doesn't say if you missed a seasonal spirit

There's a ❔ 'help' button in the menu which will let other players know you're looking for spirits in that area so they can help. Even if you don't want to do that, if you try to activate it and it says 'There's nothing you need help with', it means you have all spirits in that area... which does include seasonal ones

If you're missing spirits, it'll say 'Do you want to ask for help?' or something, so you can just say no

Okay! Sorry for the late response. But essentially, they’re little wax events that happen every second hour.

It starts with Geyser, which happens at the polluted geyser in Sanctuary. The next one is in an hour and ten minutes, and it lasts until quarter past.

Granny appears fifteen minutes after that, at the table in the tree in Hidden Forest’s sunny clearing. She starts serving dinner at xx:35, and this lasts until xx:45.

And then turtle/sunset is back at Sanc, and that starts at xx:50.
