ive only been playing for a year but i found this game through the aurora concert, i was alone in my room with headphones and in the end i went to my partner after crying the whole concert saying how beautiful the experience was and how i never thought a game could top that

and then i learned the game and for so long none of my friends played it but i met incredible people that are really important in my life today

the community left me with a "never alone again" there is always a sky kid who will make you smile

the company listens and cares, the community is lovely, the game is lovely

im so happy any time someone else discovers it and loves it

Honestly, some of my most awesome gaming experiences with strangers come from sky. My sister showed the game to me, and I was so sceptical at first. But I absolutely love it, and even when I'm on a solo run, it's sooo heartwarming meeting other sykids and see how helpful everyone is

I've been playing since mid-Performance! I didn't really expect much, but the game gave me a lot of faith in people I'd lost before. You tend to hear about all of the negativity in the world,.. but meeting someone nice in Sky who goes out of their way to help you (especially as a moth!) is a nice reminder that there are good people in the world.

I'm a bit shy, admittedly, but I try to pass on that kindness where I can now.

I believe it has to do with our brains naturally wired for survival. When we see or experience a positive thing like a nice meal or just having a fine day, we get our dose of dopamine, endorphins and whatnot and live to see another day.

However, when a negative thing happens, we percieve it as a threat. So it draws our attention, and we telegram said threat to others (again, survival). But in our modern day setting, that part of our brain is SO OUT OF CONTROL! We binge consume it, conciously and subconciously.

Been playing since the good old days of prophecy where i would be dragged around in the parkour quests without really thinking too hard on it. Or watching my mentor skate around homespace as i talked to them while sitting on a snow plateau.
As i grew up, i think my first love of sky was the environment and the music. To sit and listen to skykids play was fascinatingly wonderful, and i wanted some of it myself. Remember when everyone wanted to play a cruel angels thesis?
As ive grown older in sky ive taken to mentoring. I have mentored many moths in many phases. I still remember teaching moths krill tricks back when they existed, running around making pyramids of crbas, going to sanctuary for summer. I have tutored so many moths they call me
"grandpa" and tease me about being old.

The way eden works is that every statue you collect will stay collected on subsequent visits
So, if you do eden twice in a row, the statues you got from previous runs won't be possible to get again
So, if you get most of the statues in one run, it's not worth going again before the statues reset on sunday

Yes, they all protect you from losing winged light when you become extinguished, however they only have a certain degree to which they protect (about 1 krill hit) which is the same across each one. The difference between them all is that the more costly they are, the better knockback resistance they have

They are simple creatures, they only see where they shine, so if you're on it's behind, it is basically useless.

UNLESS it's glitching but then it's KO anyway and you better hide. Always be aware of somewhere to hide.

So far as I know, we only have the one movement speed. Are they running and jumping, perhaps? I think that’s a little faster.

If you run and hit the jump button and keep hitting it as you touch the ground you'll do a faster bounding style of running, which is good in non-windy places. If there's wind jumping can result in being pushed back though.

To Naruto run, you must be smol. Chibis run like that. They don't run any faster than tall Skykids, but they have to skurry with their legs to keep pace.

The cape should have its own star pattern like a cloud or a cinnamon bun, just like the kizuna ai cape having its own star pattern, which is a heart. Most people i've seen do it say it takes like 2h
Getting grey daily is definitely not recommended if you don't wanna burn out
And to be honest the last few candles are so much work for so little reward too, the 20th candle alone is almost a thousand wax to get
