There are other ways to patch the trial skips besides completely tweaking the controls beyond reason.

Controls in a game like this are very important: It’s like learning a language. Like, you know the basic words at first, like “hello” or how to fly and boost, but as you learn whole sentences, you also learn how to land in precarious spots or fly with precision.

The jumping being tweaked is like we’re suddenly conjugating verbs differently, so now we’re stumbling again

People often talk about how platforming in this game feels weird, from what i've seen
So i'm not surprised to see attempts to change it

IMO it feels weird because it's very "floaty"/inconsistent by design. It relies on all sorts of obscure ledge-snapping and automation, which isn't inherently bad because it makes the game easier to play with less-precise input methods (touchscreen). But most platformers don't do that stuff

Trying to fix that makes sense; the way they went about it doesn't. We needed more control and these changes actually take it away. It almost feels a bit like 1990's era Tomb Raider now

i managed to get by without my favourite TS cosmetics coming for a while… that’s thanks to the generosity of SoDreams in terms of free cosmetics, and then I started getting passes with Assembly, skipping Abyss but not Performance, hiatus after Performance ended, came back just before Remembrance, started getting passes again with Passage up to now
Then ofc TS throughout that time when I wasn’t broke from harshness of events

Basically: TGC needs to rework the TS system & find a way for past ults to be obtainable, because even a longer time player like myself would benefit

So to have a chance at all statues i think it's fair to say you need around 50-60 wing buffs

I don't know what was there before crawling so no comment, but I think crawling is just part of the "overly punitive for a single mistake" equation. You miss the timing by a hair, you're tripping over 5-15 lost WL's while stuck in a really slow and irritating animation (that can be further slowed if your muscle memory tries to jump to go faster lol)

though, I am curious if Elder Masks have any utility in Eden? Because they might honestly be easier to get than the massive amount of hearts I need for the last few wing buffs lol

This frustrated me a lot too and I think I've started to figure it out. First it's better if you're smaller, so chibi mask all the way. Second, if you check that map that's floating around here, the very last "cover" spot is actually located in Zone 3 (continuous rain), meaning it's not actually gonna keep you safe at all. By that point you just throw caution to the wind and press forward...

but the first point is the most important. If you're taller you will literally get hit more often and in more places, than if you're small

I treat it like any other live service game with time gates, there's always a definite falling-off point after you've seen and done everything and reach that wall.

For now what keeps me going is the few friendships I've formed in-game that are actually pretty close, helping moths when I feel like being a mentor/guide, and learning new silly exploits/tricks like piggyback rocketing to out-of-bounds secret areas. These "make your own fun" things are actually pretty self-sustaining, but I will likely move on to other games soon myself

I thought the requirements for sky pc would be simple, why are there so many requirements for the game to run like vulkan or AVX2 😔

Every day, there is a chance for a "shard eruption" to happen
These shards can be red or black
Black shards gives 200 wax, red shards give you ascended candles (usually between 2.5 and 3.5)
You can know what we have on any given day thanks to a website called skyshards
The way a shard works is you have to clear the darkness plants around the shard to break it
After a red shard is completed, you can also visit what we call a shard memory, which is part of the season of shattering questline and gives you a child of light

The way shard memories work is
You enter the memory by speaking to the shattering guide (it's like a small floating crystal)
Inside a memory is a child of light and the guide
By speaking to the guide you can advance the questline and next time you'll have the next shard memory
There's a total of 6 memories
After you have completed the questline, what memory you'll enter will be random (everyone gets the same random memories so you can see which one you'll get on skyshards too)

Also also
For the first time completion of the shattering quest, you can redo the same shard over and over and it'll progress the memories just fine (just mind the fact that the guide sometimes takes a moment to appear)
I'll probably try to link this explanation next time someone asks actually
