Speaking of Season of the Little Prince did you know that because there's no music anymore in Starlight Desert, if you enter from the Wind Paths entrance the music from there will continue to play in Starlight Desert? It's really cool for me because the Wind Paths music after you complete all the quests is melancholy, but also kinda happy. It gives me the feeling that my Sky Kid is thinking back on their time with the Little Prince and misses them, but is glad to have made the memories they did.

Fair! My outfits are usually cozy enough anyway to suit the temperate climates I imagine Sky having anyhow, which makes this one particularly funny to me.

I like to try and make outfits appropriate to where I’m going/what I’m doing. For example on the first day of Shattering I made myself a ‘protective’ outfit for when I went shard-clearing. Lively Navigator hair (goggles to protect my eyes) one of Enchantment’s masks with the cover over the lower mouth (to keep out dust and other things), and bright clothing and a cape so I could be more easily spotted. I also tend to wear the Sword Pants to Eden because well, cool sword. It makes me feel like I’m going into battle to save my fellow fallen Skids.

I almost forgot - I did actually make myself a cozy yet adventurous outfit for Moments, seeing as we're in the Prairie Peaks for that one. Weasel Mask, Marching Adventurer's hair, Tea Brewer's cape, Outcast's pants and neck ruff, and the camera. I liked that one a lot.

Cozyyyyy! I have great news to share! So my English class has been learning about the story of Gilgamesh and doing literary analysis on it. In it there’s this person (spirit? I’m not sure, he’s definitely not human though) Humamba who lives in a big cedar forest not bothering anyone, and Gilgamesh for some reason thinks it would be a great idea to commit home invasion and get in on the lumber industry at the same time, so he heads off with his buddy Enkidu (who is very reluctant about the whole thing considering how dumb Gilgamesh is being) to go fight Humamba.

I was working with my teacher in a extra help period on one of the assignments regarding it yesterday, and I pointed something out to her. Humamba wasn’t spoken of as being actively malicious to anyone outside his forest, only those who entered it. He even gave Gilgamesh and Enkidu several warnings to leave in the part of the story leading up to the confrontation, and it was only when Gilgamesh started chopping trees down did Humamba become violent and retaliate.

In fact, it seems to be a running theme in ancient myths. The monsters of the stories are quite often living alone in isolated areas, be it mountains, islands, or forests, never attacking anyone unless provoked. Meanwhile men, the supposed heroes of those myths, are always seeking them out to slay them for glory and/or steal their treasures. The monsters aren’t attacked because they’re a genuine threat, they’re attacked because they are different. And because they are different, they are considered dangerous.

My English teacher was really impressed when I told her that. She said I was very insightful and that she’d learned something from me. The student, the person who’s usually the one learning. And today in class, she told my classmates about it and pointed to it as a great example of being able to notice themes in stories. I felt really proud when she said that.

the candle cap is one of my biggest problems with the way this game works to be honest. there's already a limited amount of candles you can get per day, with the 1k wax cap for the social spaces, and there's also a cap for grandma and gesyer, and if you really want you could run the entire full map if youre that dedicated. why add a cap as well? if people want to spend 5 hours candlerunning, let them!

Hello! Question! Does anyone know if there’s a bug with the shoes? Because I see a lot of skykids mixing their pants with shoes/boots or sandals and when I do try to mix it or wear them with pants it changes my clothes to default shorts! 😢

Some pants can be combined with shoes, while other pants cannot. If you try to put on shoes while wearing incompatible pants, you’ll switch to the default pants.

Hopefully TGC separates more pants and shoes in the future so we can have more combos!

A few benefits, mostly the fact that meditation doesn't disconnect you, minimising the amount of times you have to retake their hand. Similarily, it's harder for winds or damage to disconnect you. Meditation transitions still do that tho.
It also iirc recharges more light normally and allows for white candle trick. With hand holding the latter is inconsistent at best.
One drawback is that it makes regular chibi fall much harder due to preventing you from changing stance. Also, in water trial the hitbox of sb piggybacking on you is a bit lower than yours, paradoxically, meaning it doesn't really help there

||yeah, you have to go to that final area and go through orbit again, you can skip the credits now though so dont feel inclined to sit through them if you dont want to ||
