I do! I haven't heard a lot of her songs, but I really like Gira Gira. The message about loving yourself and your appearance even when you're not considered beautiful by society's (frankly very toxic) standards hit really close to home. I have self-esteem issues about my body and how people think I'm ugly because I'm obese and need to lose weight to become 'pretty'.

I think they're cool and that TGC is giving more ethnic (is that the right word? Idk if it is but I apologize if it isn't) variety to hairstyles. Sure, they may not be something I prefer to wear, but I like that people can feel represented through them being in the game.

REAL and TRUE i bought the prophecy pass just for the fire prophet's hair and lost my mind when i saw all the enchantment hairstyles on the wiki it's rare for games to have that many curly hairstyles without needing to beg

Honestly, even if I didn’t pick up Fire Prophet’s hair myself, it’s still really cool, and seeing the representation of different hair types are great! I’m admittedly just not a fan of shorter hair. I like the hairstyles that imply longer hair. Or are just straight-up long hair. (I had a bob for too long as a kid. Never again.)

Sky already takes inspiration from so many different real life cultures, which is especially notable in it's Seasons. It makes me very happy to see that since many nations' cultures and history are either forgotten, demonized, or intentionally erased in an attempt to stamp out their identities. It's like Sky is taking a piece of their story and weaving it into the game where it can be seen and appreciated by everyone who plays it, even if they're not aware of it's origins.

People will point at a game and go 'look at how good this representation is!' when said representation is blatantly forced in to get inclusivity points and actually does more harm than good. But Sky doesn't do that. It's respectful and kind when representing various groups and cultures, and instead of shoving it in your face and expecting you to like it it allows you to pick up on it yourself, and you end up appreciating it better when you're able to notice it on your own.

For such a relatively simple game compared to Triple A industry titans that top the market in fleshed out and complicated gameplay but ultimately fail at storytelling, Sky says a lot with little actual text.

Jenova set out to make a game that was far different from industry standards. One that focused more on experiences made and friendships formed along the journey than combat and action, and I would say that he and all of TGC have most definitely accomplished that.

Mine was the free ponytail hair, teal cape, Modest Dancer’s mask and pants, and Hairtousle’s earmuffs and ukulele. It’s such a pretty combination that I actually use it often, but with some modifications: I use the cat hair instead, as well as the Lazy Days hat. It’s a mishmash of items, but a weirdly striking and pretty one at that.

Were you here for Fortune? Because if you want to know my perspective, I do think the Fortune tiger mask is a whole lot better. I like the stony aesthetic of the Prophet masks, but Fire Prophet’s feels too harsh and bulky for my liking. Fortune’s tiger mask is smoother and sleeker.

I dod the spirit in that room, and bro...it felt like a horror film sitting in that structure while it went over me. I went to the graveyard and seeing all those krlls, I was terrified. I got lucky with graveyard, I used the catapult and just immediately went for the exit.

Battlefield was so unease feeling. Cause like. It was quiet. Too quiet. I didn't bother for anything, I just wanted to get out so I ran to the temple door. The gate button got auto lit while I was gliding down to the area and I kid you not, the cutscene with the krills showing, made my heart drop man. I ran as fast as my moff self could go

You did it! The first time in Eden is always the hardest and most confusing, even when you're aware of what to do. And think of it this way. Any amount of Sky Kids helped is a success. Even if you don't manage to save everyone there, others will accomplish it and rescue those you couldn't. You're never without support from other people.

I remember the first time I did Eden alone as a wee moth without someone more experienced helping me through. I was scared the Krills would get me but then as I was hiding in that big pipe waiting for a Krill to pass by I looked at them and went 'hey wait a sec, their horns wiggle!'. So much of my fear went away at that moment and was replaced by glee because their horns wiggle as they fly and there was something about that that just seemed so cute. That and a few other encounters later down the line have made and kept me endeared to Krills to this day.

Oh, there was also that time I entered the Krill area of Wasteland during the 2nd anniversary event and actually stopped moving in shock because I was so incredibly baffled to see a giant hostile shrimp wearing a goofy party hat. Idk if I still have the picture but I remember it was really funny.

Get lucky and hope the Krills decide to spare you. They also seem to like selfless acts of sacrifice because I’ve had at least 3 different times where I threw myself in front of a Krill and got their attention to protect someone else, but instead of knocking my WL out of me at most they just took a little nibble from my wing meter and moved on. I think the most notable was when I was with a group of strangers trying to complete the most dreaded of daily quests, Pleaful Parent. We failed the first attempt and had to start over, and on our second attempt we got through most of it without issue and were on the home stretch. I was on a ledge keeping an eye on the Krills so I could warn the others when one of them locked onto the group. Given carrying the Spirit meant everyone was slowed and they couldn’t abandon it to get to safety, something had to be done or we’d have to do yet another attempt. So I decided to take one for the team and swooped in, then up and away from the others to draw it’s aggro away fully expecting to get hurt. But when it charged at me, all it did was bonk me around a bit and take a flap charge. I was REALLY confused because I hadn’t used a Krill repellent spell or anything, but my distraction gave the others enough time to get the Spirit to the end and complete Pleaful’s Bird-forsaken memory. I felt super cool that day, and now I headcanon that Krills respect Sky Kids who put themselves in danger to save others and will spare them in the hopes that those brave Sky Kids will go on to inspire courage and compassion in their fellows and repeat the cycle of selflessness.

The Krills keep looking at me and going “we like her, she can live” and I have absolutely no idea why but hey, I like you too Krills! Thank you for sparing my WL so many times.

I've once gotten someone who trusted me to burn the part where it needed two people to burn it.

I actually succeeded because the plant grew back slower than usual, but at the cost of my sanity and wanting to tell them "You're supposed to brun this pwrt first AAAAAAA".

As a game gets more and more popular, you'll inevitably get more and more bad apples joining the playerbase. Sky has gotten ports to 2 of the most prominent gaming consoles in the past 2 years, and now we're getting it on Steam, the most popular PC game storefront. The influx of players from the Switch and Playstation port launches will be nothing compared to when Sky is released on Steam.

i am not going to belittle your feelings but i will offer my personal mindset. i try to remain unangered in cooperative games like sky, knowing that, unless you’re using a chat, you never know what motivates them to do something or another or what that person is thinking. or anything about them really. the world is has many very good people even if a lot of the time it is full of horrible ones. eventually, things will turn out okay, most of the time. i have been through many bad things in my life and bad people, but these are games full of a lot of positivity. the right ones will stick around and help you eventually.

yeah i overall avoid chatting with people in this game, its pretty much by design at this point
the only people i really find like an active "pest" are people that spam honk me to light them at a wax event where im likely to light their candle up anyway
i dont think its out of malicious intent, but its exhausting to deal with almost every single time i do geyser or grandma's feast
