long explanation: if you're the uber, you're literally getting your "reward" because you're... also getting candles like you would a normal candle run. taking on a passenger is virtually free if you use QRs and costs you nothing, in fact passengers can benefit you because they recharge your wings.

giving a heart as a thank you is nice, but it shouldn't be a necessary "tax"/"fee" because that's like group studying for a test and then demanding your classmates should pay you for helping them study.

also, when I was a moth (early 2020) I came across ubers who would literally force moths to pay them a heart for being ubered to Eden - if they didn't pay they would abandon the moths to the krill/rocks and that is just GRRRRRRRRR

About the only bit of worldbuilding I have has come from Shadow and Rosa’s designs. Shadow hails from Golden Wasteland, so their clothing is dark and blends easily into their environment (they wear the dark plant cape). While Rosa is from Daylight Prairie, so feels more able to express herself. She likes red and pink especially, so her outfits tend to be that colour. So it shows how life is so different between areas in my interpretation of the Sky kingdom, I guess.

I know one of the Performance quests offers up a bit of lore. About either the king or prince? I’m not certain. I’m admittedly not familiar with the lore myself, to the point where I thought they were the same character.

I think the last shard memory implies that the Elders tried to stop whatever happened at Eden, and got wiped out in the process. And that the king (I know that was them for certain; their iconography is really distinctive) was likely responsible, considering a thing that represents them hovers over the diamond.

Oh, and I have a reasoning for why the dark plant cosmetics were in the Krill tree during Shattering. See, dark plants contain wax, which is known as Light officially. Where there are dark plants in Wasteland, there are Krills. And Krills canonically hunger for light. Krills also have these weird dust motes coming off them when they fly. My theory is that the Krills and the dark plants have formed a symbiotic relationship. Krills feed off the wax/light contained within the dark plants to sustain themselves, and dark plant seeds/spores attach to the Krills' bodies to then be carried further than they normally could in order to find places to grow.

Funny story about OCs, actually! My current outfit's kind of entered my own OC lore.

Right now, I'm wearing Oddball's pants alongside Tea Brewer's cape and the fuzzy neck ruff. I've started headcanoning that the Passage outfits at least hail from colder areas. I'm using it alongside Rosa's hair and mask (weasel mask and March's hair), so with her hailing from Daylight Prairie, one thing I've added to my (limited) lore is that it's actually a fairly frequently used set of attire in the Prairie Peaks, perhaps to the point of tradition. It's warm and cozy enough to block out the mountain chills. Though this would be Rosa's first visit to the Peaks, I imagine she got attached to the style.

I just had a thought, speaking of OC/Skyverse lore: what if there were multiple different homespaces for different realms? And the one we saw ingame was the Daylight Prairie homespace? Each home would be in close proximity and take after the aesthetic of their respective realm. So the Wasteland homespace would be a silent ruin.

(Not the social spaces, though. So no-one misinterprets.)

some skykids always have the tree from days of blooming. maybe a few have spirits over a lot. perhaps someone has a half-sunken one, or its split into small areas with underwater parts

I don’t have many of my own Skyverse details down, but here’s one I came up with earlier:

The home space we see ingame is just a small part of a singular home space: that being, the portal hub. Each main region in Sky, save Eden, has a ‘home space’, distinct from social areas, that serves as both a village to its local skykid community, and a hub that allows them to enter any point of the world they so wish through seven portals. The one we see ingame is the Daylight Prairie portal hub.

Each of them is distinct in aesthetic, too: Isle’s is a sandy shore like the place itself, but skykids there have established a small orchard. Daylight Prairie is on a large grassland, in which a vast and sprawling village can be found. It’s by far the largest. Forest’s is in a small, shrouded grove with most skykid homes built into the trees. Valley’s is an offshoot of the Village of Dreams. Wasteland’s, the smallest, is in a distant ruin, upon the last pure oasis before entering the desert itself. And Vault’s is in small cubbies along its edge, with its portal hub marking the last point until entry into the depths of the Vault.

Though Sky takes place after the fall of the kingdom, skykids have begun to reclaim the land for themselves, and these spaces are simply a safe and secure point for them to gather: something much needed in more dangerous realms like Forest and Wasteland.

There have been attempts to set up camp in the foothills of Eden, but unfortunately, the mountain has long since been rendered uninhabitable, so the place is left alone, its only travellers those being on pilgrimages to its summit.

Another small headcanon: though there is a home space for Wasteland, there are a surprising number of line skykids that survive on their lonesome there. One of my OCs, Shadow, is one of them. But he made it all the way to Stormlock in one piece while dealing with Krills and high velocity Pop Rocks coming at him constantly. The Little Prince is cooler than we ever will be.

omg the anniversary hats have a number of stars on them that correspond to which year it was available. The party hat from the first anniversary has 1 star, the beret from the second has 2, the crown from the third has 3 stars/3 points on it, and this year's jester hat has 4 tassels/4 stars for the 4th anniversary.
