That's normal. Sadly, joycons don't have much utility in Android, yet. Some have had luck with pro controllers, though. Xbox and PS controllers work fine.

I would suggest investing in either a DS5 or One X controllers. USB-C connection, due to x-input compatibility will work with most games on mobile and if you use a PC, there's drivers for them already.

Controller usage has been refined a lot since last I tried. You'll get used to it within one realm. Only thing bothering me is R1/RB being flight mode change and L1/LB being the "forge all" button. :stickerGloomy:

What do you mean? It can work if you have Google Play games installed. You can use Android 11 built in recorder or a third party app, too.

Buttons always will appear on Android because of Android limitation again. None of these are Sky issues

As I said it's Android limitation. You can't hack an OS limitation. As Uzephi beautifully described once here, iOS use layers therefore removing some layers are possible but Android displays everything in a "sandbox" in one layer therefore the only solution is iOS for no buttons mode yet until android releases an update.

Yeah, with Android 9 and up, you only need developer options unlocked (to enable ADB) and fully disable them with some simple adb commands. A simple search on a site like google "disable system apps with ADB" will yield a ton of non-root guides. Obligatory: it's your device, I cannot give advice on which being disabled might cause issues, Google or another search engine is your friend

Tho, I would recommend using a controller. There is no keyboard support and just mouse is kinda weird.
I play Sky on my TV using DeX. I use the PS4 controller which works great.
DeX works best with a dock. A USB C to HDMI would work and so would wiring it to a PC, but you may get varied results.

MHL via USB C is virtually lag free, like DeX (wired). PC and screen mirroring has about 40-250ms delay depending on how powerful your device is though. Wireless DeX can be the same way, latency and not a good experience.

That's not 100% true anymore. I can run LineageOS or GrapheneOS on my Pixel 3a and lock the bootloader without issue. I also relock the bootloader after flashing my custom kernel and have no issues. I.E. Modifying the boot.img doesn't cause a brick after relocking. It all depends on your device and is highly suggested to look around Phone forums like Tib suggested to know the idiosyncrasies of your phone model, before trying anything said in this message. Some models have an A/B verity check which can cause a brick.

Pixel 5 should barely run Sky at 60 fps... Still miffed Google went with a mid range SOC for their Pixel 5.... Means the Pixel 4 is still technically their flagship, since it has better hardware.

I have Pixel 5 and it runs Sky smoothly at 60fps. It has very minor aliasing at 30fps and 60 fps, enjoyable graphics. It's an amazing phone with excellent battery life btw and the camera is jaw-dropping, the speakers sound very supbar tho for playing Sky or music. For voice it's good. It gets hot quickly at playing Sky 60fps in about 30 mins.

After 30 minutes it becomes disturbing and I need to switch back to normal mode.

Or never use 60fps at all, it's smooth at 30 too.

As far as I remember the statements about Google phones, Google announced before Pixel 5 that from now on they will aim (the top) midrange not flagships with their models.

It's possible to lock bootloader with custom rom on OnePlus phones but you need to self sign the rom and enroll your custom keys to bootloader.

Yes. You cant currently unlink google account from sky if its the only account it is connected to.
Try to make new google account to link it to and log in it on your android to open that original sky account.
I would recommend opening the accidentally made accounton your ios, linking it to an apple id you would make specifically to link the accidentally made account. Then you would be able to unlink your main google account since you have second linked service, iirc. But this would require having two sky accounts on same device which is so nor recommended since game files can become so messed up, and you might loose some cosmetics.
So its better to use first option of making new google account for transfer. But you have to delete that accidentally made sky account from your device buy deleting sky and reinstalling it while your main google account is signed out from your device.
OR the best option (since you will need to delete accidentally made sky account anyway, as it is agains tos to have more than one game copy) you can ask Tgc support to delete it. I think that might unlink your google account from the accidental sky account, but its better to ask tgc support first, if it will be automatically unlinked and available to link another account.

So i would go with the third option as best one.

That still was not "missing" just iOS had more total of winged buffs if you played Sky from the beginning, but that's already the past. The total maximum wing count therefore is 171 for all platforms.

Good connection can mean many things. Strong WiFi signal or good average download speed is not everything, if your (or your friends connection) have dropouts. The symptoms mean it's almost sure connection issue. Please do a speedtest.net for your and your friends. Ping time shorter than 25ms is recommended. Graveyard is a big area and easily can get full or hard to connect to with weak connection.

Pingplotter is a good (edit: free#) PC program. If you have a PC on the same WiFi, it would be highly suggested to get a ping plot of your network. Attached is a ping plot of a bad network. This was taken during my ISP's outage to give an example, red lines aren't supposed to be there. (My ISP routing/hops was removed for privacy)

I would suggest both of you check this. If you have a similar plot, please contact your ISP with this information.

(Edit)#Pingplotter has a free version. It's plot is limited to 12 hops and 10mins if using free version which is adequate enough for simple tests like this.

FYI 5% packet loss won't be negatively experienced in normal web activity, like social media, video/audio streaming (not live, like YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, Hulu etc... This is buffered content), etc. Only latency sensitive applications, like live video, or online games would have a negative experience. So, you might think it's a good connection.

What about the portal that connects meatball area and cave shrine at prairie? My passengers always end up out of bounds when i uber people.
Also the portal between broken temple & first krill area and between shipwreck & area before wasteland temple do that as well, but i've solved the problem by walking slowly and stay still for a few seconds after going through the portal.
Is it just me or is this a common issue?

The calculations needed to render the cloud physics is pretty intense for older Vulkan versions. I forgot the version that had optimizations, but a newer revision would help. (Android was updated to a newer Vulkan in 10.0 and 11.0, both with Vulkan 1.1.x or higher)

Yes. I 'forced' 60 FPS mode to be enabled for testing purposes and my SD670 Pixel 3a will consistently be above 38FPS and sometimes reach 50 in some areas.

I don't know if i could help but just sharing something i noticed with me and my friend's experience. For some reason yes both me and my friend (if we use low resolution) we get heavy lagging and on top of that our phone heats up super badly. But once we switched to 30 fps (default mode) the game ran smoother and the overheating decreased [not saying i don't have lag anymore, it just depends on the area, same w overheating]

Redmi note 9 alredy struggles on boosted 30fps in bigger areas which can result bad experience with frame drops at 60fps. This is why it's not an option for your device. (also it's stated in pins that some versions - revisions - of GPUs are not 60 FPS compatible). Also 60fps = adios battery.

Mali-G76 doesn't tell us the exact model. Mali GPUs are Mali-Gxx MPyy. xx= series GPU, yy=how powerful it is (how many media processors/clusters it has). The Redmi Note 8 Pro has a Mali-G76 MP4, which is pretty bottom line for the G76 series... Especially if there is a G76 MP12 floating around out there... That's around 4 times better than what's in your phone...

Sky is rendered at 60fps max but a 81fps screen or 81fps video doesn't mean at all that everything else can be like that. You can check the list of 60fps capable GPUs in pins here.

Depending on the screen recording software you use, there could be added "keyframes" in your video. Also, if your Screen can do more than 60 FPS, there could be duplicate frames to fill the missing frames from the sky engine so your panel can stay close to 90, 120, etc FPS.
