Because Sky is more resource heavy than many other mobile games out there so it's harder to make things work, especially when there are hundreds of different Android phones out there
iPhones are generally condensed to two per year so it's way easier to nail things down.
Except for this year's lineup at 4 iPhones but they all have the same chip anyways
I have like 3 different Android phones within arms reach of my bed. My pixel 2 struggles even on battery saver, my LG Velvet 5G fairs better but it gets warm, and my Red Magic 5G can absolutely handle Sky with little issue whatsoever.
There's a large range of devices, and unfortunately many of them will never be able to play Sky due to hardware and OS limitations.

On the shill side, a Red Magic 5S or 5G starts at less than 600 USD and it gets you a device built for mobile gaming and some flagship specs to back it. The downsides being that it is a gaming device first and it's active cooling means absolutely no liquid resistance.
Don't expect to replace a device meant to be a smartphone from the offset with one of these things

that way the in-game audio plays back to the device as if it's mic input 
but yeah I use my phone's built in video recorder (OnePlus 6)
you can totally try the above method though

Any smartphone with the adreno 540 or stronger should be able to do it. If you're unsure, just look up the specifications of your device and then type into Google the GPU versus the adreno 540. Whichever one comes out stronger will tell you your answer. If the 540 is stronger than you may not be able to do 60fps.

unfortunately, if your phone isn't compatible now, it probably won't be. TGC did their best to optimize the game for as many devices as possible, but some simply won't work as the game is too hard on it

You can only use one gmail account since it signs you in to that gmail you used. If you'd like to link your current Sky to a different gmail, I think it's better to contact Support to see if they can help you relink your Sky to another email.

If it helps, I have seen some people here recommending using Facebook as the linking method. From what I have gathered, you can easily log out of the FB linking without needing help from Support. I'm not sure if this still applies currently.

Yep, you can safely unlink with FB accounts, but once a gmail is linked, it is linked forever. Support does not have the tools to unlink it either.

Hello, I don't know if this will help but, playing a music sheet with instrument can change the bgm to the music you're playing. It's especially useful for valley or vault runs!

Not a question, but just good news for certain Android users: Finally, I updated my phone to the most very recent android 11 update (idk which phones its available to, but I have pixel 3a), and now I can successfully take high quality screenshots without sky cRaShiNG EVERY SINGLE DANG TIME I wanna take pics. So happy it's more or less working a bit better. After updating to android 11 at first my phone wanted to die, now everything is a little bit back to normal. Sky still crashes from time to time, but not as often.

Well... The resolution to 720p actually won't increase your frame rate much... The game automatically downscales the resolution to match your GPU anyway.
Dropping the resolution to below the downscaled resolution will increase the FPS however. Like 480p or 360p... I tried that once.

It's because there is a wiiiiide variety of android types and not all work with sky or sometimes specific models will have problems and stuff, while iOS is really consistent so everything will usually work for all iOS users, or if there is an iOS problem, all iOS users will be affected

If you really want to have 60fps on a less powerful device, you can try ||fake your phone finger print to another device||. But it might make your phone super hot

What to do when the clear cache and data then shutdown phone steps don't work? They used to but not anymore. Google doesn't even recognize the app as being installed on my phone anymore.

Either way, best way to get on Sky with decent specs to price is to go for a used flagship. As long as you do your research so that you don't get something that is locked down when it wasn't that clear on the listing, you should be fine.

You get the 'skip' icon every time anybody in your current server does something to trigger a cutscene. Even if you are out of range.
A notable location is the end of the forest before the castle.

ended up just bringing up my wii u instead last january to play nintendo land with my dorm floor

If you're unsure which version of opengl or vulkan your device supports, there are apps in the play store that can tell you.
Unfortunately, devices that use PowerVR GPUs are incredibly unstable RN.
Make sure the operating system is 64-bit. Sky WILL NOT run on a 32-bit operating system.

if your manufacturer doesn't have one built in that allows you to record internal audio, connect an aux cord to a headphone splitter, and then plug the headphone splitter into your phone's headphone jack
that way the internal audio turns into external audio
and you can record it
it's not redneck if it works
anyways before my OnePlus got an update for a recorder with internal audio on it, i used AZ screen recorder for a while
i still keep it around for the basic video editor it has
also, playing with a controller hides the onscreen joystick, jump/fly button, and flight mode button

Hello, my partner received her sky merch Today but The STAR function doesnt work on her phone, her model Is Huawei P30 Which consists of nfc.
When she scan through nfc it worked but When she enters sky, There Is No response

@ancient plover It would improve performance Overall, but isn't that much you even wouldn't notice, Battery saving mode would affect alot the performance and you see probably the lag with it, But the Battery Usage dosen't affect the game itself or atleast on a notable way

For me, battery saving mode makes it extra laggy, but if that's just optimizing and not the one that removes smooth transitions then nothing much shoukd change probably
