Uzephi has mentioned the specifics on why this glitch exists... Somewhere in this channel. I don't remember what she said, but it had something to do with Google not enforcing manufacturers to do certain things.

Given the large amount of devices that can handle Sky, there’s a lot of variables that can affect whether bugs get fixed on a particular device. There was an extremely nasty bug a few months ago on Android that was patched, and some devices still had the issue while others did not. TGC does test the build before releasing it, and if they can’t replicate the issue, they release the build. Of course, since it’s impossible to test on every system and device possible, this means that some devices still may have bugs (and/or some new bugs can pop up due to the fixes. Programming is fun). Overall, TGC does a good job fixing bugs as much as possible, so just keep filing bug reports if you’re still having issues so they can tweak the fixes as they get reported.

A fix we implement may work for the vast majority of devices, but not solve the issue on other devices. When there are 3000 different android devices on the market, a fix will not always be universally successful across the board, specifically if the fix is hardware dependent, such as many of the graphics-related issues we tend to see on Android. The team does their best to ensure fixes apply in as many situations as possible, but if we don't catch it this patch, hopefully we'll tie up the loose ends in the next update.

Glad it worked though. That means Google might be test piloting the hardware-backed attestation on your device.

It breaks "compatibility" when they do a dry run to see if your device can pass. If it fails, you have to clear data to get "certified" in play store again.

This game is for iPad or tablets. It's demanding 🥺 I too face overheat on 60fps it's normal. I never use it for that reason. Gets hot to the touch.

My Pixel 3a isn't on that list and I have had none of the bugs others experience besides the old Wasteland crash that got fixed and the Forest crash that also got fixed.

60 FPS isn't available for it anymore though, even though it was enabled a few months back and ran fine. Got hot and drained battery like nothing else, but worked.

Do you have problem with nitification that droppes you out of the game for a sec? And breaks hand-holding when you try to record video?

When i wanna record there are 2 notifications that break the flow of the game. 1st: asks for video quality, 2nd: reminds me that confidential informations can be recorded on the screen. Amd the 2nd one dropps you out while its on screen and breaks hand-holding.

I may recommend mobizen. It is an app that will screen record your screen with or without external sound. It should not engage your camera unless you tell it to. It also has the option for clean recording mode, so no objects on the screen while playing. You will need to launch the app before opening sky as it does use an overlay to activate.

I used mobizen all the time to record anything that I want to record on my phone.

You just unlock piggyback level 1 with a friend, and do the rocket glitch to get up there, iirc. It's an engine clipping bug and since it got popularized, I don't think it will be patched any time soon.

That my device is incompatible with the game. Though it seems I at least meet Storage Requirements and my phone is Andriod 9.0+. I wasn't sure what to do or if anyone could help? I did some more research and saw that Vulkan Version 1.0.3 or higher and OpenGLES 3.1 Extension Pack but I wasn't sure if I had either of those things, so how do I check if so? If you have your developers options unlocked, you can actually view all of the current running processes. From that menu you can actually close any of them.

Simply clearing the memory is easier said than done. Some manufacturers have a built-in button for it, While others do not.

You can find ram cleaning apps on the play store... But almost all of them are garbage. So I don't recommend it.

A lot of the processes that you will see in that menu are system processes that you should leave alone. However, if you see an app that you have downloaded, you can feel free to stop those.

don't worry about asking too many questions btw. imo its better that you know for sure what you are looking for and what to do when it comes to the more complex or sensitive stuff.

if one were to go in willy nilly and start changing things without knowing some of the possible risks, they could very well turn their device into a paperweight.

The rotation control app forces the rotation by overlaying on the screen. It has control over the desired orientation. All apps running behind it aka the one you're running, has to deal with the orientation given.

Last I spoke with the engineers working on it, in order to create the same experience for in-game recording that is available on iOS would require many months of work which would have delayed the global launch for android by a considerable amount. The compromise was to use the native recording service provided by google through google play games. The team may work on adding the feature in the future, but I don't know when that will take place or how long it will take to bring to Live.

On the flip side, iOS players cannot natively record UI (for things like music sheets) nor can they have camera+voice over commentary like what is possible on Android, but often request it.

There are benefits and drawbacks when using either platform over the other.

I think the iOS sounds feature you're talking about is the headphones that display when external audio is being used. This is currently not something that can be replicated on Android due to various hardware/software limitations. The team has been looking for a workaround, but haven't found success yet.

I cannot comment on whether sound toggles is something we will implement. If this is a feature you'd like, please submit your request in #wishlist-and-ideas-archived for the team to review.

There are lots of options in the settings menu, so you will need to be more specific in what you're asking for. But again, if it's something you'd like to see, put it in the wishlist channel. If you'd like to leave feedback on existing features in the game, then #live-feedback is the best place for it.

I don't personally work on game systems and features. I collect suggestions and feedback and deliver it to the design and engineering teams. They then make decisions based on those requests and feedback on what is ultimately implemented into the Live game.

It is technically possible to create a custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy s6 to run Android 10 with the proper drivers. However, that would require a lot of knowledge regarding Android and the hardware of the s6. Not to mention it has to pass safety-net. On top of being required to pass safety-net, Google may still not let you download it because it does not recognize the device.

But as Kupo said, information and help as to how to do that is outside of the scope of this channel.

Whenever you open the game, Sky will run a benchmark on your GPU. Depending on the score that your GPU gets depends on whether or not that message appears.

The Snapdragon variant of the s9 will definitely meet the requirements for 60fps. The Exynos variant of the s9 comes equipped with the Mali-g71 mp18 which is strikingly similar to performance with adreno 540. Chances are it will barely meet the requirements for 60fps. @fast hearth

The adreno 610 maybe at fault here. It's not a super weak graphics chip, but it's not incredibly powerful either. sky can detect the power of your GPU through a test that it runs when you first launch the game. It's in determining the optimal resolution which can be shockingly low.

First of all the GPU does not support vulkan.
It is likely to have a 32-bit OS.
The Snapdragon 425 is not powerful enough to play sky.
The minimum Android version is 8.

Also, check to make sure Google Play Store says "Device Certified" in settings. If it says "Device is not certified" then something in your setup broke safetynet. It could be the rom, it could be due to knox. Anything beyond stock, non-rooted is beyond the scope of this channel.

To add to this, Google has been working on something called "hardware-backed key attestation." In short, things like knox or fuses being burnt when unlocking the bootloader will make safetynet fail now. Maybe your device is affected by this new safetynet measure.

If you're at 100% charge your phone will pull electricity from the wall instead of from the battery. You may actually damage your phone if you try to charge when not at 100% while playing the game.

Alternatively, you could use a fan.

As the damage would come primarily from heat.

Yeah. Smartphones are usually built better than just overheating. when they start to get hot, they will start to throttle themselves. Even to the point to where the game is no longer playable. Additionally, most smartphones have a safety feature in which they will shut off if their thermal sensors reach a certain temperature.

One time I accidentally left my phone in the window... I heard a buzz and looked as it was shutting down. I picked it up to find that it almost burned me.

The reason it was in the window was because I was hotspotting... And that particular window had the best signal.

I've played Sky on the S7, that phone gets truly hot. So I put it on charge at 100%... And play in front of a fan.

The fan I use almost freezes my fingers off... So the phone is as cool as a cucumber.

I just simply hold the phone in front of it. Yes at the back of the phone. If you're going to use a fan... It's recommended to not have your case on.

I tried to overclock my laptop once... Turns out... The kernel was already overclocking it.

My laptop goes up and down in performance. One second it feels like running a stick through mud... The next it's working at hyperspeed.

Yeah, I didn't need to do much on my phone besides adding the Adreno boost code and updating the Linaro governor Google Uses to make it a little more battery efficient.

I did it more for battery savings. Adreno is based off AMD's Radeon (it's an anagram if Radeon) so adding the clocking code to the kernel makes it like a Radeon GPU where it will go over the max clock if temperature allows it. That is all "Adreno Boost" is. The Radeon clock driver where if it can, it will... At the expense of longevity of the SoC. Last Adreno Boosted device I had failed in 1 year to tell you why OEMs don't add it in their devices.
