If Play Store says your device is not compatible, make sure you're running Android 8.0 or greater first. If you are but the message stills shows up it's either because it's a bug with Play Store itself or your device simply isn't compatible as of right now.
I would clear Play Store's cache and data, then restart. If it still shows the message saying your device is incompatible then you'll just have to wait it out

If it stopped appearing on your store it just means it's not compatible as the devs work on things they want to optimize the experience so your device may have been cut

i double checked with engineers, we haven't made any changes to device compatibility, so it's definitely a caching issue on Google's end if you were previously able to download Sky and can't download the update.
If you've never installed the game before and are getting incompatibility messages, your device is likely incapable of running Sky.

For those who the download of the maps are always in 0 and doesn't move at all, just do this, it worked for me:
Enter the game
Wait till the game starts (or attemps) to download the maps
Then leave the game in stand by, and open the Play Store
Go to your apps, and find Sky
Enter, and wait til it starts downloading (shouldn't take so long to start)
PD: Have a nice internet connection for this, and don't leave the Playstore app, just wait that it downloads everything, also don't turn off your screens.
When its done, you can reopen sky from the stand by process, and the download will have ended correctly!

Salgan del juego dejandolo en segundo plano, y abran la Play Store
Vayan a sus apps, y busquen Sky
Entren, y esperen que empiece la descarga (No deberia tardar tanto)
PD: Tengan una buena conexion a internet para esto, y no salgan de la playstore, solo esperen a que se descargue todo, tampoco apaguen sus pantallas
Cuando este listo, pueden reabrir Sky desde el proceso dejado en segundo plano, y la descarga habra terminado correctamente!
This is because sky doesn't download the maps by it self, but it uses the playstore to download it as "Funtions" or "Additional Content"

Same way, if the update freezes and doesn't progress, it is a problem of the playstore, just close the playstore app (don't cancel the update) and reopen it, and go to your apps and find Sky, it should resume the download
If it fails again, just redo the same thing.

In case that you downloaded the app, and was running fine, and you updated and now your phone is no longer compatible, it probably is a cache error.
En caso de que hayas descargado la app, y haya estado corriendo bien, y la actualizaste y ahora tu telefono ya no es compatible, probablemente es un error de cache.
Also important that the playstore isn't blocked by finger print or passwords, and that it has WiFi enable (or mobile data if you want to download the updates this way)
If not, it also brings problems at the moment of downloading Sky content.

@slate isle If you’ve never seen that cutscene before you won’t be able to skip it until you’ve seen it at least once. There are some cutscenes that can’t be skipped at all though, and some people are familiar enough with them to still know where to move during the cutscene

Google play might factor in some taxes not provided by TGC though, so i’d advice having more on your gift card or credit card than you think you’ll need so it won’t decline you for insufficient credit.
On Apple, iOS, those taxes / currency exchanges in specific countries gets applied before you enter your password to confirm, but I don’t think play store works that way unfortunately

@slate isle If you’ve never seen that cutscene before you won’t be able to skip it until you’ve seen it at least once. There are some cutscenes that can’t be skipped at all though, and some people are familiar enough with them to still know where to move during the cutscene

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.

So I've read game's requirements in order to run the game smoothly and I have compared them to my phone yet the game itself it's still blurry and lagging quite a bit once you get to maps such as Hidden Forest, so I was wondering am I missing something or is the game supposed to work like that? i don't know much about that specific device, but as a general caution: sometimes with android devices, there can be 2 phones that are the same "model" (such as Redmi Note 8, etc) that don't run sky at the same level of performance. this is because sometimes manufacturers produce these phones using different internal hardware. it's very confusing and makes it hard to figure out whether your device will run sky well or not.
again, i don't know if this applies to Redmi Note 8, but i thought i'd mention it.

uhm, I wasn't going to actually ask anything cuz I always thought my device was not compatible, but later on I found out that my current android version is a 9, meaning that it is more than 8.1 (maybe it's the fact that the original operating system is 8.0?) and my GPU is also a Mali and all the other stuff to meet the minimum specs, yet my device is still shown as incompatible, I did tried to clear cache and data but it still did show incompatible, I'm not the best with technology so I wanted to know better and that's probably why i'm here questioning this.

The graphics quality for Sky is closer to that of a console game or a pc game than something like CoD or Fortnite mobiles versions....which both come from very large AAA studios that have teams of hundreds working on.

because Android is effectively open source, there's no standardization metrics. It's what makes it so hard to develop for and often why you'll see some studios only develop for iOS, especially small indie studios, they literally cannot afford to account for all the variables on Android.

Controller compatibility will depend on your OS version and brand of the device. I would look up what controllers are compatible for your specific device just in case.

What do you mean boost? If you want to increase your average framerate (fps) close other background applications or just lower the resolution of the game through the options menu

My map went missing except for the Golden Wasteland because I reinstalled the app. Other maps failed to download for some reason. How do I manually initiate the download mechanism of all maps?
Now, when I go through the portal of all maps (Except Golden Wasteland), it does not teleport me to the map.

You won’t be able to gift passes till the season starts. When the season does start, you can give it to a friend by meeting up with them in game, and then tapping on their skykid to bring up the friend tree. There’ll be an option looking like 
but with a seasonal symbol, which lets you gift it to them
