I think that in-universe, when we the player reach the Elders, the skykids before us have given the Elders enough light offerings to stay awake for longer periods of time. that's why when we are there, the Elders seem very awake and prepared for us. many skykids have passed through them before. but in-universe, during the early time of the first generations of skykids, the Elders hadn't yet been given enough light to stay awake for longer periods of time. Salem's read my quip about Vault Elder passing out by using up a lot of their first light offerings by trying to summon the other Elders

Cause from watching some gameplay vids, I realized some endings are different and got replaced to what we have now. Like the one route from the "Dimming star" had a different ending and didnt have the "Light Creatures" ending before. Hmm, if you're talking about lore in present time, well, it's uncertain. To be honest, Sky's main lore lies not in the present, but in the distant past when the spirits should be... alive, not spirits. Sky takes place after a long time after the fall of a big Kingdom, the Kingdom of Sky, and we're just here to help clean up. Just mentioning this to clarify just in case.

So usually when talking about the beginning of the timeline, we're going back to the beginning of this Kingdom. The Season that is highly theorized to be that starting point, or the closest to it, is Season of Prophecy. There is also an established "beginning" that is told to the player when entering Sky for the first time, which is the new intro. It is also highly theorized that Stargazer's memory takes place around the beginning period of Sky's timeline.

So TLDR; Yes, there kinda is

If you're curious, you could take the old concept timeline of Sky as a reference. (But it is no longer canon, but it does give some idea)

But yeah, in the old concept, you would go to Eden, and see this beserk Elder on Eden just spamming lightning bolts at you and spears, trying to kill you, but the further you go, more kids will have to die just to be able to go forward. (Giving light to that one player), until that player reaches the bottom of the Eden Elder and lights up the dark crystals there. They get smacked, die, and then get saved by the Prince and you see all these souls around you and ascend (scene eerily similar to dark room scene). When flying to rebirth, you see all your friends with you.

Number 4 has to be my favorite. However, I could see why they discarded the circle ones... Because circles symbolize connection to the Light, or something like that according to concepts (Its still used as that leitmotif looking at the use of circles in game and how Eden lacks one at the fireplace). With a Season dealing with corrupted creatures and dark stones, Abyss would normally lean closer towards the opposite, so that may be why those ones weren't used and more geometric ones were used

So I got quite a bit way through that doc and noticed something interesting you said these are old docks but the theatre from the current season is referenced in the cannon lore doc under the valley of triumph

Specifically what peaked my interest is that fact that the area is “centered” around the theatre

Ohhh, that one. That was was released a long time ago though, that statement, which was from 7 Days of Sky tweets, which goes all the way back to Sky's first anniversary.

Though, it could be interpreted as a figure of speech, as it could be talking about how Valley was just full of entertainment and all at the time.

When I said these docs were old, well, I mean these existed a long time ago, and I'm not sure if the people who worked on them are still even active, and may not have been for a long time. (Tho I did see one of them one time, was it Flight or Abyss?)

These existed since 2020, so they're almost, if not already, 2 years old by now. The one that may still be updated is the Vault doc, which was a doc containing people's theories, so that one is open to a lot of people to edit I think.

In the old lore, these "Elders" are entirely different elders from what we have now. (As these are concepts after all) These Elders were once normal ancestors like the ones we see around, but became godlike after recieving "Dark stone", which was powerful as it abosrbs flame and produces energy, but "corrupts" and all. May be why these guys appear "dark".

So for my final question before I hop off discord for a bit why are the different areas of the game noted as different times for example I found a map of how the world of the game would look and the isle of dawn is first how it comes in the game and in the concept art it’s as dawn the next area is “day” followed by “rain “ for the hidden forest then you got “sunset” for valley and I couldn’t quite read the rest of the map cause it’s a big image and zoning in on the writing cause it’s small blurred it too bad so I assume it would be a “days journey” like you start your day at dawn and end it at death cause I assume that is what eden stands for cause you get “reborn”

Okay, so after the second quest, Performance Guide gives us a mask. This mask is in the style of the Performance Crew, but none of the spirits have it*.
This mask becomes available after the second quest. Therefor, I believe this mask is not just a Performance Mask, but specifically a mask for us. We aren't just some random kid who happened to wander in and help Stagehand once, never to be seen again. We came back. The mask Performance Guide gives us is him welcoming us to the crew, once he realizes we're here to stay. It's our mask.

I hear performance lore so im going to share my ( ridiculous i know...) theory about the eden looking backdrop. Again. In the village theatre area there is a backdrop which closely ] imitates eden yet seems quite different- perhaps performance crew were a kind of peaceful rebels that wanted to show what would happen if the king continued to play around with eden- Which is why their clothes seemed handmade- they didnt have many materials due to being disliked by the king. This is also why performance qg and rhythm qg had to part, because performance qg thought that their twin would be in trouble- The king didn't want to identify them and shut them down as the town was quite intertwined with one another and would realise when their performance crew goes missing- also it would show the townsfolk of the village area that there was meaning behind the backdrop and the rumour may spread. Also because denouncing such a small group would show the general public how petty the king would seem- This is a tad bit far fetched but i think about it way too often

Okay so the elders came from the stars, I think they come from orbit, so what if orbit it’s like the Olympian and Zeus it’s the megabird, the elders are like some minor gods they do something Megabird didn’t like and they were banished from orbit to learn a lesson all together to get back to orbit, but they do it wrong cuz they lead their realms by their own, so the megabird sent a gift to help, the prince
The prince it’s like Jesus is the son of the megabird and the same time the megabird, everything was great until they used darkness with the prince to became the king, that make the connection between the megabird and the king broken, so they started to made a massive ark to get back to orbit using a mega cristal (the one in eden) but it went wrong and e everything exploded. The kingdom of sky disappeard. The people from the kingdom died and their spirits ascend to orbit, also the elders, except the king, cuz by his nature of a creature of light was supposed to reborn, but got trapped in a limbo were the megabird can’t help due to the use of darkness.
The megabird was concern about her kid (the prince/king) so she recreated the kingdom of sky by the memories of the spirits (that could explain why the time never change, why the vault it seems like a dream) except the eden that was where the elders and the king were and she doesn’t have any memories form any spirits so it’s the only place that wasn’t recreated by the megabird.
She sent the first and second generation of Sky kid who were very similar to the prince but they fail and they left behind the wl and the statues at the eden.
Then she sent the third generation of Sky kid, us, less powerful so she can send more of us to save her first kid

Hi so here is my theory

So there was this big power diamond in Eden. And like most power diamonds need light to do it’s job. But unlike most power diamonds, your regular old manta or light creature would not do. Know the king knew this, and wanting to see their kingdom thrive sacrificed their own light to the power diamond. Becoming more corrupted as the years went on. Now once all the kings light had been absorbed and the king had been fully corrupted, the diamond imploded on itself. Scattering the kings light around the kingdom, what we know today as Winged Lights. Every light we get, we slowly gain the likeness of the king. They also give those who remember the king (dawn) a chance to maybe fix their mistakes.

There is one slight thing I don’t like: the part where you say “you learn and feel different emotions.” The idea that Skykids are these robotic creatures that have to learn emotions from spirits is a popular theory, but it’s quite disliked. They can express emotions without the need of spirits: an example would be the expression Skykids do when they greet a seasonal guide or find a winged light, or the final quest in Dreams

Yea in their memories, Chimesmith is doing a lot of work, goes to their island, lays down to a break, then goes back to setting up chimes again. We headcanon that maybe they have a special interest in chimes and enjoy the noise, but it’s still a lot of noise and even working on something you love can be tiring. Hence the need to move somewhere sensory deprived — in a cave facing away from the sunlight (perhaps they’re photosensitive) — to regain spoons.

Assuming it needs power to do so, would a discharged one shatter into pieces or produce an explosion?

If the Giant Crystal can repair itself, and if the storm is constantly tearing it apart, then it may explain why there is a never ending hail of red crystals.
That or there is another reason for this, because given enough time, the shards might pile up. Or we can pull the 'time warp' card in this case to explain that the place is caught in a time loop of being destroyed, and then restored over and over agian.

I am still of the opinion that us skykid must find a way to bring the spirits in there to help do something.
Make a change that will stick, a change that can help break the cycle and restore a balance. But that would also mean that we need to find something or someone to stand in for the King.

What if.....

Us skykids are in the time loop because we are missing an important piece?
If we stop the storm, the world dies with nothing to keep the balance. If we dont, the world is overrun by darkness.

We never see what the winged light kids do when they fly towards the crystal. The camera would pan up to the heavens and we are ascending with them to Orbit.
What if, the statues we are freeing are part of the loop? As in, by freeing them, they restore the crystal, ascend to Orbit and then reset time?
Naturally, a player can choose to go to eden as many times as they like. But the area only resets after a week.
There are 7 realms, Eden included. If we go by plot of the game, the Player can explore the realms and reach the end within an hour or two in real life. For the skykid though, time may work differently and as far the lore is concerned. The game might be trying to convey that as each realm resets each day, the lore of the skykid could be they prepare themselves to go to Eden every 7 days.

While the game does not force us Players to do so. The skykid cannot collect wax from the same realm in the same day cycle, and neither would the statues be reset until the next cycle every week.

Assuming this is true that the skykids are maintaining that ritualistic cycle, it would then be the skykids trying to maintain a time loop.
For what reason?

Perhaps to help the spirits, the elder or even the Megabird prevent the world from dying.
