Okay, so if you 100% all the constellations in the game, and then you complete Eden without missing a single statue and do the dance emote for 5 seconds on the dunes before the crystal, you’ll unlock Luigi face the King.

If you beat him, you’ll get the prince’s crown, and if you wear it in the Office on Wednesday, one of the devs’ spirits will appear and congratulate you in an 8 hour unskippable cutscene.

Wait. I got it. The reason why Daleth’s mask is broken is because Lamed called an emergency meeting after reporting the Ancestors died, and King was the imposter.

However, the King said Daleth was the last one to see the Ancestors and that he was sus, so Tsadi punched Daleth in the face after everyone voted Daleth, but Daleth was not the impostor.

King killed all the Elders and then won the game.

That’s why one@of the chairs fell over in the Vault Elder table; that’s where the Elders have their emergency meeting, and Daleth got ejected there and broke his mask.

It all makes sense now. The deepest lore.

I am thinking about this again, and beginning to wonder. Every other light creature seems to have a large form that’s vaguely adjacent to the original, even if it’s not in game. Mantas are visually reminiscent of the elder creature, the fish look somewhat similar to the coelacanth, and the birds could be aligned with the elder bird. Is there a similar creature that can be created the same way, but out of ancestors and/or skykids? ||[probably not canon but interesting idea: is this why the same term is used for elders and elder creatures, because this is just what elders are?]||

I think the probable answer to this question is no, just because - assuming the answer to my weird question above is no — there’s no evidence of giant vaguely humanoid things existing [except maybe as wielders of the GW weapons, but even still we never see them]. So the question is, why? Pretty easy to say ancestors were too far from the light, but what about skykids? They’re filled with it. Maybe that light gives skykids the instinct to merge and be close to others, but some minor darkness (maybe in the shell, or a punishment) prevents that from happening, and that’s why skykids constantly desire friends but cannot Merge

This is why they form into a constellation representing the region and why most of the base game spirits in each realm have traits similar to their elder

OH just realized, my idea can’t be 100% true in the way I originally imagined it because in an isle spirit memory, one of the spirits points at a mural of the isle elder, implying they existed at the same time. Maybe it’s less that the elders popped up after all those spirits died and more like they can cycle through souls slowly, and so the higher population count of their realm the more powerful they are. Although the basic personality of each elder stays the same, much like in how my light creature theory the massive versions would work almost like a hivemind in order to avoid conflict, some minor traits change like fears, likes and dislikes, and so on

I’m still not a fan of this theory extending to ancestors. though, just because ancestors don’t seem anything like light creatures (need to eat, die Permanantly, so on) and because the justifications get weird the more you think about it. How would those specific spirits be chosen to be part of the elder, for example? And so on. I just introduced it as a concept to think about

prince dreams assembly sanct and abyss i preferred to do alone, but prophecy and oddly dreams, i just know i wouldnt have enjoyed it without other people (except the last two parts in dreams)

and then enchantment as a moth feels great, it felt like fetch quests i would naturally complete as i naturally explored the realms while still learning how to cr.

I like to think Resources are far from the simple "darkstone" concept art, not only they are not dark, but they are pretty armless in their natural state in Abyss

When crystals become refined Resource, they look like naturally transparent
When charged but outside of an outlet/slot/socket they look opaque and only shine bright if they are turned on

It sortof of reminds me how some kinds of glasses can get turned into opaque when they close and electric circuit

Maybe a more valid neutral name could be Prism (both suitable in case it is a refined lightmined stone or a darkstone)

So fun fact about the abyss crew. They obviously exist pretty late in the kingdom, so we can use similar traits from this season to date other seasons that are kind of iffy timeline wise. Remember those shelves on their ship? The only other season with them is (iirc) Assembly where they were introduced. The flight spirits store things on stone shelves and in stone pots. This implies that season of assembly and season of abyss both happened in similar timelines, after the storm.

The "make due" is not about the Wasteland, and it's not an observation that poverty makes people greedy.
It's likely the other way around. The Wasteland attracted the roughest, tumblest, most resourceful and greediest of spirits (likely because there are so many treasures hidden).

And the Abyss Crew come from this culture, of greedy Wasteland scavengers.

Quickly realized my idea on light creatures wouldn’t make much sense due to the darkstone present underwater in treasure reef but just going to jot it down anyways because I Think It’s Neat (and really out there)

• mantas have diamonds located on the undersides of their heads. You can see some examples of this in moonpetal’s post here: (#lore-discussion-spoilers message) Interestingly, not all of them have diamonds in their heads and instead have spikes running the length of their back - you can also see an example of this here (#lore-discussion-spoilers message)
  Meaning: Some mantas have diamonds in their heads
• Mantas are light creatures that dissipate completely upon being hit by krill. Supplementary post by Fish (#lore-discussion-spoilers message)
  Meaning: mantas are made entirely of light, and dissipate completely when it is taken.
• Our masks have a diamond in the top that we don’t yet know the function of. Some ancestors also have masks with similar diamonds - I was part of a conversation at the beginning of the month theorizing what these were for, here: (#lore-discussion-spoilers message) TLDR: the theory was that darkstone was inset into the mask, which helps ancestors amplify and focus their inner light, helping them with things like levitating boats and small objects, and powering up levitating darkstone boats to get them to move. …Coincidentally, we can also do this >:3
  Meaning: Darkstone can focus and amplify light

I think another outcome of these observations is that Ancestors might have engaged in some form of light creature worsjip, and used the Diamond marking on the mantas in much of their artwork and designs.

• The blue chunks of rock in treasure reef looks different from darkstone everywhere else - it’s brighter blue and not diamond shaped. It resembles the flat disks helping things float in valley and vault. We also currently don’t have much evidence that this blue unrefined material was 100% shaped into diamonds - meaning, what we see in treasure reef may have been simply shaped into the disks mentioned before, instead of diamonds.
  Meaning: The darkstone powering mechanisms and the “darkstone” powering valley and vault disks could have come from two different sources

Combine these all and you get the hypothetical idea that:

• Some mantas have darkstone diamonds in their heads which help amplify and focus their light, keeping them from dissipating into nothingness. When this diamond is drained or taken from them, they dissipate as well.
• After being removed from the manta, the darkstone keeps its original properties: levitation, which previously helped its owner to fly, being a light battery, and focusing and amplifying light, which kept its original owner from disintegrating. These powers are incredibly advantageous for various forms of technology.
• The variants “without” darkstone likely have it hidden within their body in order to project a larger form, and flourished since this adaptation made their diamond much harder to retrieve (would especially make sense combined with the common headcanon that light, including the ones that make up manta, is very hot in all its forms)
• All diamond shaped darkstone is harvested straight from mantas and only needs to be recharged every once in a while.

Non canon? Probably? Extremely cool and a good addition to my list of “theories that accidentally make sky sound like a psychological horror game?” Very (2/2)

Fun fact! This same exact symbol is on the docks in prairie village, and my current idea is that it’s connected to the laughing light catcher memory where they catch lights falling from the sky. also would the season of flight people have massive import/export/stock of orange and blue dye specifically? i keep seeing these little pots everywhere (also makes sense considering the season's color scheme is blue, orange, and a greenish that looks like a mix of the two)

The pots are most likely paint containers - you can tell on some of the arches that they were originally painted that blue color, as well as markers scattered throughout the island. Either they brought in the paint or made it themselves with the two colors of flowers they have scattered around - orange and blue!

As for the alcoves, probably just nap spots - most of the spirits have beds and tables in their respective caves

Yes, he is attacking the light. Wielding his spear in the air aimed straight for it. The red light from enchantment might give us insight into that.

you can give individual characters their own names. most spirits do have their [adj]+[noun] nicknames, which I imagine is what the skykids call the spirits

They are just raising their hands and the light is shown next to them to imply they are using it.

Anyways, about the other mural, this is it:

shown by how they are no longer depicted with 2 stripes that represent ancestors

their clothing becomes clear like the king's and skykid's as they stop being just ancestors

Ignore the king, focus on absolutely everything else going on around him. Light falling from the sky, didn't we see a spirit memory like that. The forest trees are full of life. Waste land elder is attacking the red light, this attack pose is used in the possibly non-canon mural where he attacks the king. And beneath wasteland elder are figures resembling the king, like the strange statues from wasteland. Prairie elder is bringing life and butterflies. Valley elders are making their city float. Isle and vault elders are sitting there, watching it all happen. There are vault lanterns beneath eden. The stars in the sky. Light creatures surrounding the king. Something prominent is that a krill exists beside a supposedly uncorrupt king. Forest elder is making water.

Look at this, the elders are giving the light to eden, but the wasteland elder is locking it up in a lamp.

before that it's just the vault elder and some ancestors climbing Eden to establish what would become the vault

So my current theory about the first mural you posted is it shows chronological events going counterclockwise. You start chronologically at isle, then circle around to the falling stars over wasteland and the storm crashing into the Eden mountain outside of Vault

No, the lines near the vault elder are gusts of wind. They still have the swirl but that’s where the similarities end - the clouds are much denser and don’t have the tail

I believe that instead of these being the locations we found the lights, they’re somewhere else - some are sort of right like the orange light, but those trees could be anywhere in forest, so this is a direction that doesn’t help much

The blue light is in on an island in the middle of a lake instead of in the valley of triumph ice rink
The green light is definitely in prairie due to the flowers, but in a different spot instead of the birds nest where we find it - the islands aren’t floating
The cyan light is where the green light is supposed to be but is actually found in isle
