Let's say the sky kids we play as are descendants of our previous ancestors. Or, reincarnations. Each ancestor passes on their experience when they "ascend" to The Light. And what they've experienced will be passed down to more sky kids descending into the Sky World.

My headcanon (emphasis on HEADCANON) is that skykids put food and drink (Bloom Tree) in through the diamond orifice between their eyes, and it just gets burnt by all the light inside them lol

Sneeze is a combination of imitation and lightbending (level 2 and level 4 emotes with light effects added by the skykids because why not)

The Elders were once Seraphim Angels / Archangels that served "God." The 7 of them were probably or most likely one of the most powerful out of all the angels that were in Heaven.
As time passed, they began to grow sick of the peace and stillness of Heaven and attempted to create something. In secret, they formed a planet, the Sky World.

skid's fire to be specific are different to common fire that uses a catalyst to combust. rather its raw, pure. in that sense, i like to think that only a skid's fire or natural light can truly burn down darkness in general effectively. how this correlate to being able to stay underwater though, can be because our flame doesnt behave like common ones i suppose. it doesnt necessarily burn, but it can offer warmth, meaning theres no boiling that will occur underwater

The basic gist of it is that the purpose of the seasonal quests is to fulfill the ancestor spirits' last wishes, to fulfill something they weren't able to achieve during their life. The idea is that by helping them fulfill it, they will be able to ascend without regret, thus bringing our mission closer to completion.

The theory was created based on the idea of "unfinished business" (aka the reason why stereotypical ghosts exist and wander the Earth) but there is in-game evidence to it as well.

Tbh, Sanctuary is a Season that is right on the fine line between canon and non-canon.
The lore it presented was indeed canon about the Mantas, but we dont know rhe extent of how much the rest is canon.

I know that the cosmetics of the ancesters are at least leaning more into "non-canon" territory, as when it first came out, it was pointed out that it kinda broke the usual attire of the spirits back then, and broke the 4th wall. Tbh, they made Sanctuary because of Covid, which makes sense.

Also, btw, reread those messages and it seems that there's actually guidelines and rules the devs have for spirits. Season of Sanctuary pushed those guidelines to the limits. So much so that many players in beta were upset about how those cosmetics felt like "not-Sky"

Well, we dont know what they are, but there's rules the devs stick to when it comes to designing spirits in Sky. I was pretty surprised, as I just found out now, when I was looking for the og messages about Sanctuary's canonicity.

However, Sanctuary bent those rules, and they also received backlash for having those types of cosmetics in Sky.

However, one thing I did discover was that Rhythm QG's mask was actually a very common mask in the inhabitants of Sky. Rhythm mask wasn't actually meant to be obtainable because of this, but due to player feedback, they made it obtainable as an Ultimate reward.

So oof... That may break those theories about connections between spirits with that mask (including mine), but hey, makes sense

I'm not really sure, probably not very keen to see them having magic. You start out with a default call, without imitating anyone, which is why I personally think that it could be an organ related something.

Magic does sound cool tho, but idk, Sky seems (practical-ish) to me, minus some elements like floating islands--more like they'd use magic on their surroundings rather than themselves.

I dont actually remember with who we discussed, but we finally agreed that those hits could explain another aspect.

Skykids can hit a rock wall without getting hurt, only the great speed of the rocks can. The gravitational aura could protect from normal impact a sky kid, much like two atoms actually repell each other without touching, unless they are forced collide to like in nuclear explosions.

I have something about the wax/snow. I am probably just overthinking this, but my brain wouldn't let it go.

The way the snow can still provide wax is based on how snow forms. It's frozen water that forms around a speck of debris, in this case microscopic pieces of Darkstone from the Storm. It caught some ambiant light, and when it got cold a snowflake formed around it.

if theres any kind of "manufacturing" going on, maybe the elders were trying to replace the fallen stars (with power diamonds?)

All the elders kick or whisk light around with the exception of the forest and vault elder with their diamonds. we gave the forest elder light to make into diamonds and imbued it with diamonds for the VOK elder to send up. (GW elder collapses with his spear but we give hi. strength with our light, so im kinda leaving him out of the diamond pair)

but the theory that elders themselves are fallen stars of sorts ruin it.

i think knowing just WHAT the elders are, spirits or stars or gods of sorts, would help a lot. Theyre not sky kids. or are they? ascended ancestors? i dont know

personally i think the intro cutscene is a bit too vague to understand who is the "we" actually talking

are the temples factories? iunno, but once you hit eden the pipelines and pollution definitely leads towards some kind of dark byproduct.

adding: light clearly had a use, a power of sorts, even if it was just a tribute to the prince or megabird at first. could the corruption at the top trickle down? we dont start to see real pollution in realms until the forest, but shes also shown as some sort of armour maker or blacksmith in her cut scene

in concepts her area is for making those diamonds, but in live she seems more like a blacksmith. Her "seductive, dangerous" theme chasing us around was dropped entirely.

ohhhh. if the diamonds arent stars, the VOK is basically a giant storage area for the history and knowledge of the last generaton (a library of alexandria of sorts)

they could be using them to store info for future generations

That's not how it works. Poses are poses. A "properly set model pose" can be achieved in a few minutes. Sunbather also does headscratch and a few other poses in that memory so I really don't think its that deep. They probably thought it was neat and came back to it later. I'm sure other spirits have poses we haven't seen as emotes yet. Doesn't mean that was their original emote, just means it fit for their story.

It's very easy to tell it was not an asset used specifically for sunbather by the very obvious fact that it does not fit sunbather. Sky has a bank of universal emotes and poses that are applied to the rigs of different spirits BUT the majority of these poses were done according to the slim body type. If a pose has not been made for the fat or muscular body types you see a ton of clipping on the arms or legs. This is also why some poses can't be used on spirits who wear skirts or robes if the legs are too far apart. The builder's voila emote in their memory has been edited to accommodate their larger chest so their arms do not clip. This had not been done for sunbather, making it likely a part of their universal bank. The only emote well and truly made for sunbather was the belly slap emote.

  However... He's even stronger in the Black Rose Castle itself... Don't forget that...! Many lights have lost their lives in that castle...

For real though I agree with the most popular opinions that those trials are to earn a title. I recall trials having text relating each to a virtue (respectively patience, resilience, balance and courage) hence why that would make sense to me.

Imo, it was originally one trial each to simply to pick the next prophets, but at some point someone aced all the trials... I think it's the QG but most believe it's the elusive prince/king.
