It's midnight for me, cut me some slack đ
Seven is symbolically the addition of the earth, 4 (because something needs 4 legs to be stable; a chair, a cow, a cart...) and the sky, 3 (holy trinity).
Numerology isn't my forte but I could dig some stuff up from the dictionary.
I am not translating 5 pages.
Gonna spare you the mathematics, we know it's a number that comes back often (seven days, seven planets, seven heavens...).
7 symbolizes a whole, a completed cycle. Hyppocrates (yes, the medicine guy) says something similar too.
Been noticing since 2nd or 3rd quest but the lamp here is already gone
I like the randomness but ah they removed it prior to opening the desert towards Eden
It seems to be a number that comes back so often it is seen as harmonious, same way we like to make groups of three (three acts in a play, "two failures and a success" rule in stories, we even like to cite three examples because it sounds better etc...).
guysguysguysguysguysguysguys
This looks vaguely like a boat ???
I know it's a bit of a stretch since it's a vague silhouette which could also simply be ruined buildings who fell on their side and giving the place an ark-like figure, but maybe, just maybe, Eden was a castle set upon an ark, before the storm...
OOOOH thatâs super interesting!
In the castle after we die, we do start with some sort of race made of natural obstacles before it transitions into the actual ruined building (which is huge ! You got indoor towers !), so maybe Eden used the mountain's natural features as additional rooms like in the forest caves, but it's all covered up by this grand building that seems less like a building and more like a simple wall and ceiling between a city and the rest of the world.
Mansion as big as a city ? Unless it's a city built like a mansion...
Either way, perhaps the "ark" shown here is only part of the structure, hence why it could detach...
Maybe it's something about wanting to fly towards apotheosis/growth without wanting to let go of the mountain/the past.
Likely not that far of a stretch by lore standards.
There was a story about the ark in Eden in the old lore from the beta.
This might still be the remnants of it, or a very goo detail.
Guess who is going storm chasing, lol.
Yeah, that's how I found out about and why I absolutely love this ark theory ! The concept story is really interesting although I'm glad they removed the part about ancestors fighting light creatures.
Also storm chasing for lore reasons sounds fun, do you take passengers/terrible leads xD
Wait, beta ? Not concept art ??? Where

I try not to if I am not familiar with the OOB, especially in Eden.
Oh no, I took the normal route. I usually go oob but I figured that I should get used to the intended route before they patch that.
Top right, and there is one more...
Pros of Eden is that there's absolutely no candle or spirit to look for in the area, so unless you're unlucky, slow or are looking for it, you probably only get krilled once.
Oh, I would have called that concept art, but this is really neat !
Unsure where this can be found exactly, aside from tumblr. Will find the source later. But this is pretty telling.
Note, the bottom right may be "ultimate embarkation" as in boarding a ship!
I find it funny how the boat there looks like it's carrying a giant candle cake.
If you dont mind explaining whatâs the ark theory? i feel like I heard from it but I forgot antjmsnfam
I like that Lamed/Vault is titled âthe planâ
It's pretty straightforward, according to it, the demise of the kingdom was caused by or included the fall of a giant ark, one able to hold a city such as the one we ascend through on our way to Orbit. It is generally assumed such a big edifice would have used the Eden diamond, the Eden light coming from the mountain or both.
The specifics vary, from the king building that ark to prove himself equal if not greater than megabird (the local deity), to the ancestors wanting to escape a world they almost bled dry toward the source of their power, stars, or even the elders wanting to go home.
the local deity,,,
that means there's more well of course there's more looks at that one planet near orbit that's not ours
Iâm getting some big âThe Bifrost Incidentâ vibes from Ark theory
With the entire Asgardian government on board the vanished train, the Yggdrasil system was plunged into chaos.
looks at blue Eden from 2019 with the visible petrified elders spinning around the light
HAHAHA YESâŠ. ahem. Everyone should listen to it.
Ok, I did some reconnaissance of the place. While avoiding the krill and the harsh winds as a chibi.
The structure looks like a wrap around set piece meant to show distant structures, though they are not solid or complete.
I suppose it COULD be a crashed ship with a ruined city on it, though the game unfortunately does not give enough information on it, since the whole thing breaks apart into loose assets.
It is a shame, though I suppose it the game does ever get to show the other half of Eden properly, the devs will have to add more areas for use to explore them.
Thanks @rigid mural for the ship observation.
That alone may have revived a piece of the mega theory lore I had trouble with when it came to Eden.
I will have to go through this whole channel's lore at some point to curate the details, though for now. I think I have enough to start fisnishing up at least one part (or volume if you can say so, lol) of the Mega Theory. đȘ¶
Oh? What piece is it!
Did you just chibi run Eden for the lore ? King
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
What Vela has taken notice and pointed out.
(Slowmode is working overtime now, lol)
I did say I'd do it.
Lore is one of the few things keeping me in the game right now.
Ahhh thank you guys!!
I have deleted a few messages here, including one link, that contained illegitimate content by messing with the game files- both of these things are against our server rules as well as the game's Terms of Service, so please keep this in mind and refrain from sharing them in the future
ummm, colors of the rainbow, the rings sauron gave to the dwarfs in lotr, the seven seas, seven Harry Potter books?
Apologies.
Should I remove the video as well of blue eden?
Ohhh okok
The Eden video is just an OOB from old Beta, taken by myself actually đ What I'm referring to were the other screenshots part of the same post specifically shared as modified content, or otherwise files or information that were never/are not accessible through the game
Wait what exactly was modified content ? Did they add stuff in or was it just I the game files but not supposed to be seen ?
noted and understood.
It is cool to know the video came from you.
Do you think TGC/owners of TLP will release lore on Season of TLP because they don't own it?
Hey wonder if I could get some concept arts of the elders
Couldn't find it in a link
Because of the same reasons I explained above, I can't go into detail about what is player-made and what was just inaccessible to players even if I knew because both are against TOS. Just know that if it wasn't or isn't part of the game you can boot up in your device and find, it's not allowed and shouldn't be shared
There are a bunch of links to concept art in the pinned messages, if you're looking for that! Or maybe if you're looking for something more specific we can point to that too
I think you can find this in the '7 days of sky' twitter page
K I N G
WHY DOES EVERYONE STAN KING
K I N G
WHY. DOES. EVERYONE. STAN. RESH.
RESH DESIGN IS POGGERS 10/10 SUPERS COOL
I mostly looking smth similar to this
Or is this the only concept
I love the concept art sm they looks so great
There are others here and there.
You can have a look at Tom Zhao's site or look up '7 days of' from TGC on Twitter
https://www.tomzhao.com/sky-all
hello there
Hello
Everyone was so starved for characters we nabbed the secret unused villain and everyone fell in love with him.
LMAO
I'm starved for
I have an explanation for why the assembly treehouse is raining from Monday to Thursday
The scouts might have less time at the treehouse from Monday to Thursday because of school
So it's raining without the scouts
because we know he actually exists
Megabird
and this is in a lore standpoint. and resh isnt the first elder that people took a liking on
I forgor to take a screenshot but the sliding race's starting point looks like an elevated path that was torn - you can even see the remnants of what could have been the actual starting point (the roundish stone pavement with 3 lights on it at the beginning).
Interesting to point out the flying race, if it was originally one and not just another sliding race taken over by clouds, could have been done by boat. Flying with a cape would make holding a paddle difficult, and with boats you could do something not unlike ancient cart races !
they flew riding mantas in air race
Come back to me in October about that
does it have something to do with the upcoming season? havent been bothered with the new stuff so do tell
Beta content is not allowed here...
wat is this then
I'm not allowed to tell you, that's why I'm asking you to wait for the season release.
u doesnt need to tell any details, it was a yes or no question, elaborating details is wats not allowed
If it was done by boat, the goal for each team could have been to pass the light back and forth, you win or lose points depending on how successful you are at that. Kinda like ping pong ? I don't know sport rules.
Ah like a race and passing at the same time. Like one of those party games where you balance an egg on a spoon that you hold with your mouth while racing the other team.
fair avoidance, but that too doesnt necessarily need boats, mantas are much lighter and more agile and maneuverable than stone air boats. it gives more capability for team plays since they have their individual mantas theyre riding on
in terms of atheletes' tenacity for both balancing and handling midflight would might not be an issue at all considering that theyre basically airborne; lived and raised around flight and clouds, not to mention that most of their athletes are soldiers or atleast affiliated to something thats subject to training
...HTTYD but manta
now u seeming to imply beta content about boats and air race when season of flight takes place on prairie got me curious and i cant find anything about it,
but yes, HTTYManta
I thought about boats because that's what the twins are depicted riding in Prophecy
everyone rode boats in prophecy and i worked up over nothing basically, bruh
. i thought new interconnecting lore was coming
I think someone posted a google drive link of lore file that's been confirmed by tgc as canon a while ago, does anyone have this file?
Hello
Goodbye
I just finished the Season of the Little Prince storyline and Iâm so glad the Rose survives long enough for the Prince to return to it
wat, a google drive link? not docs? and tgc actuallt confirmed lore? wat? when?
ive never heard of them actually confirm anything other than krills being corrupted. theyve vaguely hinted at things but never did they confirm it. there are lore docs that contains dev quotes from past qnas, but as far as i know, theres nothing more than that
only things we can confirm are wats currently in the game.
eg: krills are corrupted - how? why? when? wat did they look like before? - "only time will tell", and for the time being, we can only theorize about
Is King Resh part of ||Eden|| spoilers that should also have a spoiler around or nah?
As far as I know, I think the lore discussion channel is just an entire spoilers channel, so its ok to mention it here without spoilers
So... is the little prince suit going to stay?
My bad it was Google doc, I found the link tho. Lemme go get it
Uhh it says canon so I thought tgc confirmed it, anyway here's the link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE/edit?usp=sharing
I may have misunderstood some things, I'm so sorry for the confusion!
The only spoilers to avoid here is any content that is not yet live
ye, TGC did confirmed it (docs was in the pins but was removed recently due to a controversy)
Anyone can share theory Eden Kings? I cant wait 2 years for the lore explained
What controversy?
ah, a lore moffâŠlet me tell you about The RĂ©volutionâŠ
(it was not rlly a revolution but hey, it sounds fancy and dramatic okay)
what revolution?
the megabird spam?
why do i hear chescha type an entire book?
Once upon a timeâŠsomehwere late 2020 (November/December???)-early 2021 (January-February????) lore chat wasnât exactly peacefulâŠit was ruled by some uhhh not-so-lore-moff-friendly-people. Letâs just say lore moffs were obviously not cool with this so mods came, banned concept names, said thereâs no canon lore, canon doc is unpinned and uh ye, lore vets and lore regulars didnât like this (most of us understand about the lore moffs, but the âthereâs no canonâ and removal of concept names were not cool) so we protested, yatta yat, TLLS came yatta yat, everything died down and uh ye (and some of us were a bit salty to some lore moffs because some lore moffs were not good)
Nah, I just forgot to type this
Interesting, who were the not-so-lore-moff-friendly-people?
oh no, lore war
dw, that was like last year
its lore war 1
Is there Lore War 2?
not yet
I wonder if Lore War 2 will be more destructive
lets all sign a contract to not make that happen
Didnât you break the first contract we signed?
that was a long time ago
Are you implying that youâve changed?
well yes
Dude you literally told me that you wanted to speedrun breaking the terms
that was a joke
Good
I would like to sign this contract too pls
Uhhh
It was a joke, wasn't it đ
nope lmao
If you want to sign one, sign it with King Propaganda
Hmmmm, I'm not too sure, the name kinda seems shady
my contracts are terrible
Itâs not, we just praise the King. If you have any questions feel free to ask
Isn't the King evil đ
we,the megabird suporters, just make bird food and worship megabird
Well, technically but if you know more about him and what people think of him maybe youâll change your mind
đ
dont ask how we make bird food
We don't know because we don't really see him in game
Buy from MFC instead, we offer the best fried chicken in Sky
đ€
well,i am bound by a peace treaty so i cant talk about it
Thank you for honouring the treaty
Do you prefer Megabird or the King?
do u want bird food?
Guys..
Oh theyâre gone
pizza pls
WELCOME TO THE NEW ERA
Hm?
TLP has ended. Welcome to a clean collab-free Sky!
Ohh yea
oh no,anyways
time to pray to megabirb so that the good cosmetics of next season dont require adventure pass
CHAD MEGAN >>>>>> BETA KING
B-b-butâŠ
My theory craftingâŠ

can we intrest you in some bird food?
Well... frick
here is some bird food to mend your broken heart
waitâŠ
Sky kids can mimic almost any sound right?
Like the Lyre birds :0
*cheep cheep chomp
the ingredients are:
nuts
seed
a diffrent secret ingredient (private DM me for more info)
There is a concept art of King and Corrupt King, so he isnât entirely evil but went chaotic during his reign. He probably got corrupted while making the Eden red diamond
peanut buter
cheese
(dont ask about the last part i read it somewhere)
Are you trying to compete with MFC?
any chances we'll get any lore bits in the upcoming season?
no,MFC sells fried birds,we sell bird food
besides,the bird food is free
I think
has tgc given out a premise on what the season is about? or is it just a teaser on the seasonal area
I HUNGER FOR LORE
we all do man
I hope so
I have multiple eyes on you
But seriously, I think this season will confirm or deny this headcanon of mine.
Caped ancestors don't actually fly, they glide through wind currents like humans who do the wingsuit sport. They can only fly through certain routes with consistent wind, and the caped Valley spirits are participators in the Flying race. One in the solo race, one in the manta flying race.
Maybe we'll find out how ancestors flew.
How do you sell it if itâs free
its free in terms of candles, but eating it costs time(if ur not a bird)
They made the magic capes to fly, but many would never match the fluidity and grace of skids, do to their weaker connection to the light, and their larger, heavier bodies that evolved to thrive on the ground
Oh dear, lore chat is infected with Megan Supporters
tsk, I remember the old days where KP was everywhere. Oh well
Well, someone had to oppose the king propagandists at this point
as long as we don't have Lore War II we should be fine
maybe we wonât have, also we never had a Lore War (RĂ©volution doesnât rlly count as one)
I miss the good old days, but then again we were the ones who made the terms
so the seaon is over...
Can I post about its post season ending spoiler?
The end cutscene?
Sure why not the chat is full of spoilers anyway
Maybe add spoilers just in case?
I can agree to that theory.
||The little prince of the book also dies|| (spoiler).
So with him perishing in Edenwould be devastating to the skykid who grew fond of his antics across the realms.
Although I think the skykid is not naive with them giving the little prince's statue a winged light. Because the skykid would learn through experience how doing that helps the soul trapped inside reach Orbit, this saving them.
Lastly, I loved how the prince is able to travel through the portal and after the season, ||his presence is replaced with an echo of him.||
Come to think of the little prince, though it is more likely going to have to be an exception to the lore for him.
Him leaving the world of sky and reliving his events ||shows him as a spirit|| makes me wonder.
That ||ghost prince|| is likely a work around of the copyright similar to the spirit after the season ends. Though lorewise might suggest two things.
Either the little prince leaves behind ||his spirit|| and is no part of the cycle of the world until a skykid relives it. Since the living little prince is not trapped and the season quests only runs once for every player.
Or the ||spirit verson|| of the prince is not a ||true ghost,|| but a memory, or ||an echoe.||
An ||echo may not mean who it represents is dead, but the echo|| simply relives an event because the living being made such a strong impact. Sort of like a ripple, the water keeps moving despite whatecer moved it has stopped, but instead of water in that case, it is happening with time.
I will have to think it over some more. This might open up new theories to work on :)
: đȘ¶
P.S I did say I would do it, @compact shale
The skykid isn't naive about WL saving souls, the skykid never realizes that TLP isn't a skykid.
I think HOW TLP's spirit/echo was made is really up to interpretation. My "Artificial Memory" theory is mostly brainrot, there isn't much evidence to it, and I don't think we can actually create an evidence-based theory about TLP's replacement.
Following copyright logic.
A ghost prince may have been e the better alternative to removing him entirely, after the collaboration ended with the season. Which also explains why the rose is the guide.
A spirit rose is a lesser offender to a copyright infringement than a ghost version of the little prince, who only appears during cutscenes and quests.
It is a real shame we cannot repeat the quests.
Though lorewise. The season gave good info about some mysteries of Sky. Though like the other seasons. The potential canon lore to be had is open to interpretafion, limited to what the game can operate and vague enough to not spell everything out.
Yeah, the ghost prince is probably the best they could do to maintain the experience whilst escaping copyright.
But that's part of how I created the idea of Artificial Memory. The goal of reconstructing his memories into an AI is to recreate the experience for everyone.
Oh yeah, and this AM theory of mine is what you call an Epileptic Tree. Look it up.
The artifical memory theory might have some validy because of some factors, since a lot of the lore is open to interpretation.
If Vault is a library, what if thereâs a âbookâ of The Little Prince in there but he somehow got out? Kind of like Myst, you can go inside a book and interact with people there. But itâs the Little Prince that went out, not us entering a book?
lol.
There is in fact a book with the little prince in it.
It is in the starry desert, where you relive the memory for the sneezing cartographer.
Ohh yeah. I havenât been playing for a while I forgot about that
Does anyone knows what the sky kids are made of? They just bump again walls and you only hear a "ting" sound.
Good question
Wait, really?
Commonly Accepted Lore is that they are made of some sort of clay with a light core. Magic clay IG.
its a dev quote iirc, "made from clay, masks made from stone" smth along those lines
Here is what I think may support it.
The floating lanterns are spectral. So they themselves are illusions, or it is what they look like when simulating/projecting things.
These lanterns have been noted in concept art to have stored memories. Which might have been an early idea for reliving memories in the game, or they are an alternative to reliving memories for the ancestors.
The Telekinesis spirits has shown the ability to manipulate objects. Similar to the other non season spirits of the realm, these emotes showed how some ancestors had some magical abilities, or gained them through some means. His cut scene further shows him selecting and interacting with a memory lantern/cube, though the cut scene does not show what else happens unfortunately.
There lanterns seem to house small power diamonds, though some of them are empty. Skykids can supply them with light to temporarily activate them, though this might be intentional to suggest hos the flame is the power source, but the power diamonds can store and supply this energy for longer periods of time.
Lastly, the mural for the Vault elder showed them interacting with these lanterns.
This is either to create/record memories. Recreate them as a projection, or even storing the knowledge of them (similar to how a book stores knowledge with written text, the lanterns does the same with light).
This theory may not be one of my personal favourites. Though I do support it from an objective standpoint with the given evidence for it.
The game can have varying interpretations, and with that brings theories that can contradict one another.
What matters is that the theories do not cause Lore War. We all know how that went.
Agreed.
It is for that reason why I would not dismiss any plausible theory.
Even if the theory is utterly impossible, I would still chalk it up to a creative hypothesis (an idea).
Practically everything not confirmed here is fanon. Starting a war over small things is not worth it.
The game makes it very clear that even if it had any lore, or no lore at all. The focus is on what the player takes from the experience.
I feel like the whole thing with the eldarâs tech is that it uses flame as power, but is uses precisely placed and calibrated darkstone ânodesâ to accelerate the light and give it more energy.
If this tech isnât maintained properly, the nodes will become misaligned and all the energy from the flame is gobbled up by the darkstone, causing darkness to spread and reek havoc
i like how u put emphasis on lore to be freely subjective and wacky, which i agree on to some extent. i think its best to set wats solid and wats not, to set foundations on and for it to not be confusing because its wat ultimately leads on to in the long run. i tend to be dismissive over things that i think doesnt need to be all wacky and confusing and i try to offer wats logically plausible objectively based on wat i currently know from ingame and outside sources. i do think lore is wacky and fun in nature but its the unnecessary confusion im not fond of
skykids are maintenance people sent by a company to light up candles to somehow benefit the company
its corporate all along, u cracked the code
poor kids
skykids are maintenance people sent by a company to light up candles to somehow benefit the company
Unionize.
i like how u put emphasis on lore to be freely subjective and wacky [...]
I agree, to a level. While it's true the boundary between canon and fanon lore needs to be clear so we all start from the same ground building up our theories, how "wacky" someone's theory is up to interpretation.
Some people like you and Raider try to be as close to canon as possible, while others use the canon material to spin their own stories, which I personally also find fun to read.
We all have a different way of consuming the content, and I think this should be respected. Of course there's always gonna be people enthusiastic about their story that barge in on serious lore to monopolize the convo, but so far I haven't seen that here afaik, at least not significantly.
_ _
To be honest I love telling stories and am also working on something about a guild of lore enthusiastic sky kids exploring more perilous areas. It's set in the future where even more maps are unlocking following the restoration of the light, so I need both canon content and fan ideas...
slides in with Azure Depths fan ideas you say?
Mem
Mem.
Wym ? What's Azure Depths ?
Anzu
Anzu? You mean Abzu? That game that TGC helped with ?
No itâs my friend anzu
OH
hey, @pastel brook.
Will you be keep calling yourself 'the little bot' even after the season ended?
Time to disturb the peac-
Shouldn't have signed that peace treaty
If so, does copyright apply?
I don't think that words like "little" or "petit" alone can be copyrighted.
Le Petit Copyright
How?
But yes the bot's name will change everytime a new season arrives
I canât tell if thats a joke or not.
Nah itâs just me being dumb mb
Ah. Its a sentient flower. The rose is talking. No worries. Sentient flowers are a strange idea, granted.
OOOHhhhh, I see. thanks
I like to believe this season is probably like season of dreams
One ancestor looks to be able to fly or has a passion for it and teach the others to do so
Then they achieve it and everyone can fly over time
Something like that but yeah
Spirit 1: I CAN FLY!!!!
Spirit 2: Prove it. *pushes Spirit 1 off cliff
I WANT THEM TO RIDE ON CRITTERS SO BAD
ALL PRAISE THE MEGABIRD
LMFOA HELP YES
I like both tbh
Dont rlly understand megabird that much
And I dont rlly have that much info on king either LMAO
But both are pretty cool
I noticed somewhere in the flying up to orbit resting place....if you move the camera around....you can see ribbon like "creatures" flying with you
Your character also sings along with the singing
Oh really? I didnât know the character sings
Yeah, just spam honk when you reach space.
I want to ride critters too...
Really emotional the first time I did haha, felt like I was singing both welcomes (Orbit) and goodbyes (The Kingdom)
Aw
I doubt it. It is just the french word for 'the little,' with bot at the end.
Just curious for how long it would take for the bot to change its name.
Bot holds onto the past dearly
Here is a worrying theory.
What if the top of Vault is destroyed and use skykids do not actually reach the top floor and instead are taken to a recreated memory of it.
During the ascend to Orbit, you get to fly through parts of the Eden city that has been swept up by the storm (the top part that is floating about the mountain). While doing so, you pass a piece of a structure that resembles the top floor of Vault.
Would it be possible that because Vault is so close to Eden, that the storm has affected it so badly, the elder of Vault wanted to prepare the skykids and instead redirected them to a space that is similar to what the top of the Vault tower looks like. But after meeting the elder, you are taken to a different part of the Vault where the storm has not obliterated it.
Perhaps a side enterance since the original grand entrance is now floating high up above the storm. That may be why after completing Vault, we do not get to move from the shrine of the elder to the next area like the others, because the real shrine is gone.
In case anyone asks if the top floors of vault are illusion, why are parts of them so real (the platforms, the island, the elevator, etc.).
This type of dream like state (for a lack of a better description) can also be seen at a more primitive (or weaker) effect in the season of Prophecy.
There you see the elders joining together to for the prince's rite of passage, or proving his worth (according to fan theories thus far noted). Each trail requires you to meditate at a place to reach a different location that seems to either exist in a pocket dimension, or a memory of the trail. For Vault, we meditate at the elevator for each floor.
Sorry, if this is a bit jumbled or unclear. I am writing this out with info recalled off the top of my head, and still mentally processing this.
Hope this sparks more vault is an illsuion theories. (I did no expect that theory, and the artificial memory theory to suddenly have solid ground).
Imagine,a french guy says the little then copyright
itâs a fan realm
Not yet (/j)
Mmm, gl then
Hi folks, what's up?
frog
Sky
!command
How do you expect the channel to be active if you command people to sneep snorp all the time--
I command you to sneep snorp
@pastel brook who is snorp?
Little Prince is like french Moomin or Sanrio: beloved, thrives on nostalgia and has lawyers with raptor eyes and talons.
YES this joins my theory the vault might be partially sucked into the storm !
I headcanon that after the doors in the Elder's temple in GW open, the Vault we see is actually a dream, since we have to meditate to progress through it all the time.
Also notice the similarity of the ground floor of Vault and the the area after the Vault Elder's cutscene.
I think the Vault we journey through is a dream, and the Vault we see after the Elder's cutscene is the real Vault. I can get on board with the fact that maybe the Vault in the dream is the Vault that existed before Sky was destroyed. And the actual Vault is what we see when we're ascending to Orbit.
The Vault elder also looks sad in the cutscene. Maybe because they know what happened to the real Vault, and what they're showing to the Skykid is an illusion they're forced to conjure up.
I'd like to gently hold the vault elder.
But yeah, the vault from the 3rd (forest) to the 6th floor (shrine) are certainly at least partially a dream; there's a theory going around the skykid is sleepwalking through the vault.
Cuddle pile on the Vault Elder
Dear lore chat, I got some questions about spirits. Are spirits normal skykids that died somehow? Can spirits interact with each other as it is often shown in their memories (e.g. the assembly spirit's memories)?
The spirits are our ancestors. The previous generation, if you will.
It's reasonable to believe that they died but couldn't ascend properly, which is why we need to relive their memories and help them return to the stars.
(Opening of the game: "Wake up, child. Return our spirits to the stars.")
I do think that spirits can interact with each other! In the game, there are several spirit memories that involve more than one NPC. Some that come to mind are the spirits from Isle, the
and
spirits from Prairie, and the
spirit from Forest.
But I'm sure there are many others! ^^
Also the
spirit and the umbrella guy spirit
After the daily quest the other day some people have been (harmlessly) shipping them đ
Agreed.
The spirits need help, so skykids have to go out and save them by reliving their memory, and guiding them back to the temple.
Thanks to recent updates, the spirits now look at skykids when they are closeby, which makes them seem more animated and aware of what is around them.
Even though they do not seem to react to one another outside of memories, even if they are close enough to each other, this may be an ingame limitation rather than a lore fact.
The eye contact with Skykids is such a cute bonus ^^
I honestly like this theory a lot, it makes more sense in my head, itâs still sad that the Vault Elder got her realm completely destroyed, so she made an ilusion of it to prepare skykids
As in, not earth, very likely.
Oooh Vault Dream theory! I want to find one of my posts about it
Hereâs one of them!
Aaaand the other one regarding the meditation aspect of it all.
Not particularly lore, but has anyone wondered what the big skeleton in forest is? I wanna see one alive, or at least just know what it was

Vela's emoji is showing a whale light creature.
The skeleton gives you the whale call which is these creatures that you see in the cavern part of Forest, on the way to Wasteland and During your ascend to Orbit
Ohhh, I did not recognize those two as the same thing. Thanks!
Ahh yes!! I just saw that in Eden when I played thru it again yesterday. I keep seeing new things Eden since Iâve only been in it about three times lol. I wondered what it might mean
Possibly that the whale is one of the few light creatures determined, or stubborn, enough to complete its journey. All while flying along side tiny skykids.
YES I JUST REPLAYED THAT SPIRIT THE OTHER DAY AND I REALIZED SHE MIGHT BR ACTING SHY CUZ SHE LIKES THE UMBRELLA DUDE
Im not a hardcore shipper kind of person, but I thought that was cute
Wasnât she some sort of mining person or land inspector or something weird like that?
Was she inspecting the land to find a good site for a mine?
Hey
That actually makes me curious
What are they mining again? I donât remember. I know itâs for the power stones, but arenât they just rocks imbued with light? It makes me think any old rock would do, but I suppose not. Maybe only a certain kind can withstand the energy
The spirit is called Blushing Prospector.
She may have been scouting around for new mineral deposits.
The temple door suggests (though might not confirm) that the trees or the ground had minerals needed to make power diamonds.
Ahhh, I see. I really love how they hint at the culture and society of the spirits!
Mm! Makes sense. The trees sure do look petrified (though perhaps they didnât always look like that; the corruption mightâve made them sickly)
The power rocks and the mines are reminding me a lot of Castle in the Sky. The sparkly mine scene and the magical necklace
Actually, a lot of the game has Castle in the Sky vibes
ooh. o.o
Does it also have statues that used to be people?
Or children that can fly?
I have not seen much of it, though hear it was a good anime
GASP you havenât seen it yet?? Goody, I can tell someone about Ghibli hehehe

It doesnât have statue people, but there are references to ancient peoples who used to live in the sky, using magical stones to create cities in the air, but have long left to live on Earth and been forgotten to time.
But there is one remaining floating island that a boy dreams of finding...and a girl with a magical stone that is connected to these ancient peoples...and some shady government types and pirates in flying ships who want to find it too...
Plus thereâs cute robots. You canât have enough cute robots
A lot of the scenes in the sky and the clouds and beautiful images of nature, the focus on flying, the magical, ancient feeling, and the wholesome vibes throughout the entire film remind me of Sky a lot!! Iâd you like Sky, youâll love this film
And gosh I love Hayao Miyazakiâs work so much
His films are so beautiful
Wow wow wow :O
Can l just ask what is name of this anime?? đ
It looks so good and l wana see it đ„șđđ
Also Mark Hamill voices the bad guy
Laputa, Castle in the Sky by studio Ghibli
And I have not seen it either but now I want to.
Yessss it looks so good
And thank you for name

Castle in the Sky!!
And there are more where that came from. If you havenât heard of Studio Ghibli before, I HIGHLY recommend watching more of their films. All of them are great, so itâs hard to pick a fav, but Howlâs Moving Castle is another fav of mine
it has a big emphasis on stars. And then you have these two đ
@rigid mural id love to know what you two think when you see it

Aaaaaaaaaa art is so good
I have to see his work
I would love to tell you what l thinck
Can l add you on DC or something??

I think hayao miyazaki is one of the best animators of all time, so yes!! The art is great
the stories and characters are fantastic too, and I love how he portrays people. They feel like living breathing characters
OH YES PLEASE!
Iâd love that!
I send you friend request

forest elder with the 9 tails in her hair, has a reference to a kitsune.
MANTA SLUS-
Priestess? A lot of people donât know she existed (I think-)
A priestess? Further info pls?
I think she was a concept ver of Samekh, some people see her their (Valley Elders) âmomâ. The hooded figures in the prophecy cave door and the Forest temple door might be related to her
(The pic is a transparent ver I made because I canât find the actual photo)
Priestess wasnât the concept Samekh, all I remember is that she was in a Valley concept art lmao
Omg so pretty I would love that outfit for our sky characters
Ikr
The valley twins like their apple slices with salt n pepper, brush their teeth/eat a mint and then drink orang juice, put milk in before their cereal too.
Well, the apple slices with salt n pepper is canon because I think Ash had said it.
The rest was me and a friend thinking about what else they'd do
I still gotta try it
Just not when my family can see me
can confirm
Oh my god why do they put milk before cereal đ
Because they're extra and will play paddle bonk with you as the ball if you disagree
I heard ppl talking about how vault is a dream state and one of the biggest reasons I agree with it is because it's right in the middle of the two most chaotic places, wasteland and eden. There ain't no way a pretty VAULT is gonna be inbetween an abandoned land full of dark creatures and pretty much the end of the world
Plus, we do wake up at the end in a broken and run down version of what had been the first floor.
its a dev quote, safe to say its likely canon
What dev quote?

I can finally post this
Megabirddd
Wdym you could always post it
Vault being dreams come up a lot. I will never be convinced. We have lamps that project memories. The spirit mantas whisperer is a memory whisperer, and Vaults mural shows her strait up printing off one of the centipede mantas. Its all in the cubes.
Includes a new....ish logo is all.
I have a question abt the orbit now that I went to eden today
Is megabird the blue part before weâre reborn (Where we get ascended candles and wings from the spirits) or is that the orbit?
Megabird can be seen while in the place you get ascended candles. In the form of kinda.....star bunches If you look strait up while in that area, along with a constellation of 3 skykids. We call that space orbit. But for all we know it could be part of mega.
Oo ok, ty!
Pretty chilling storyline
Imagine if in-universe, your skykid is afraid to go to Eden but then Lamed motivates them to do so by telling them that their friends died there but they can save them
oh god
Iâd imagine so bc itâs supposed to represent death and sacrifice. It wouldnât make sense if the skid was just like âehh whatever itâll be over soon enoughâ
Like they BETTER be in constant unbearable pain with every step they take
Like the skykid is too scared to go to Eden until they go back home, walk around, and can't find their friends. Then they go back to Lamed who tells them that their friends are there.
Why do Dark Creatures (aside from those Dark Cloud Ball things in the Fire Trial) go after Light Creatures?
And also why are there so many Krill at Eden and Wasteland specifically, they couldâve gone anywhere else but they chose those 2 locations, why?
I think theyâre in Wasteland & Eden because those areas have the most darkness. As for going after Light Creatures, maybe theyâre attracted to light or want to take light
Light shares energy. Darkness takes energy
Oooh. I love this design. Slight Journey vibes
Actually, the priest looks kinda like a bird (internet the point on the head as a beak and the lines on the cloak as feathers). I imagine they can hold up their cape to look like outspread wings đ
O skybot changed its name back to normal
Same
Well, tbh itâs actually more like âVault is meanât to be more like a dream as you go up on the levels or smthngâ
Ohhhhhhhh I get it now
Yeah the Vault Illusion theory is pretty cool
Yeeeaaahhh, agreee
omg its skybruh, the coolest skybot of them all
omg yeassshhhh
nvm chesca has the screeny mb
how do i make skybruh notice me
uhhhhh, idk
ask the wise ones in #questions-and-help
! command? do a flip
!spoilers
omg grandpa-fetuwus, just use !spoilers
The community generally agrees that the following things are spoilers:
- Anything after the door to Eye of Eden (but not the word "Eden"... might as well spoiler tag "shofgouaoasif"
) - What the 8-player puzzle unlocks
- Anything in the secret levels including what they are or what's inside them (||TGC office in Vault and Nintendo playground in Wasteland||)
- Beta content is not allowed outside beta channels, even with spoiler tags. (This includes beta content that is not live or not meant to be accessible)
shofgouaoasif
can skybruh peel an orange using their eyelashes
yes, pretty sure they can
but can skybot bot if a skybot bot bot, a skybot bot?
Can skybot bot bots bot bots bot a bot that bots bot bot bots of bot bot bots
Definitely
never knew that, @pastel brook can u pls bot, skybot bot, bot
ash pls make skybruh do a flip
Skybot operates by it's own rules đ
Ash, we politely ask for you to drop a nugget of Dev wisdom upon this desolate Lore Chat.
understandable, but surely u can convince skybruh, the coolest skybot of them all, to do a flip yes?
Juggler spirit isnt the only spirit who knows how to juggle (and i'm not talking about another rhythm spirit)
Can you give us a hint of next season story with emoji
can we steal their cosmetics
are they better at juggling than juggler with juggling juggles?
Wait wait wait give us a blursed fact about the eldersâ
I would actually argue that theyre as good, if not better than, Juggler spirit
And no, this is not one of my usual TS hint bits
its actually a legit piece of their backstory that was developed for this spirit
A backstory???
(â§âœâŠ)
Ayo?? Juggler has a backstory???
vault elder dips cookies in their coffee, but leaves it in for too long so that theres a bunch of soggy cookie crumbles at the bottom
SACRILEGIOUS
It's not juggler! its a different spirit who also knows how to juggle đ
they're not a rhythm spirit either, but they do live in sunset...
Are they from Dreams?
Donât be shy, tell us
You asked for a nugget, not a 20 piece meal, fries and a drink!
can we have a 20 piece meal, fries and a drink?
i'll admit that made me laugh
wait is this the first time people knowing spirits has backstories? also id like iced ice with ice
Nice
Do you also want that with extra ice?
we actually (at least as long as i've been working on seasons) give spirits their own backstories as it helps to figure out their personalities, motives, relationships with other spirits, etc! some of it doesn't make the final cut, some makes it to the memory or quest cutscenes, but then other bits of the backstory can be shown in subtle ways too!
Do yâall have Bearhug Hermit and Peeking Postman backstory

okay completely unrelated question but do the valley elders put milk before cereal
how subtle ya talkin
I believe in one of the Dreams spiritsâ cutscenes you can see Leap and Cheer/Piano spirit walking alongside eachother as if talking
ash got sent to the corner for spilling
again
oh no, we will remember you Ash
RIP Ash
next time she manages to sneak out the bean corner, ask her if bloom spirit has one and if her extendable fingers are perks
đ§ đ
Can we hear more of their backstories?
Nah, they sent Ash back to their corner for saying too much
Oof đ

Pleasee dont tell me if its a chicken spirit who taught Sky's most famous travelling sprit how to juggle-
Also sorry for ping-
i want grape juice,how do i order
ok, Iâll ad that in the list
thanks,here is one candolđŻïž
Ash has been turned to ash
@karmic ledge who are the statues in Eden?
Donât ping them
Ash is going to WAFOkrill you
@pastel brook
hahahaha! I just woke up and that!
đ đđđđđ
Well played, my good sir!
The only other people I saw juggle something would be the valley elders, while they played monkey in the middle with the skykids.
If it had to be a spirits though, that will take time to think on it ....... đ€
Also, thank you for sharing the nuggets!
Goes well with my breakfast coffee. đ
The only spirit I can think of is the Cheerful Spectator.
Why? They are found in the Colliseum, and then spotted in Bearhugging Hermit's memory with the Leaping Dancer. Following what the old concept showed with spirits and their clothing, I suppose the spectator is juggling with he time spend with her music, at the colliseum, and with the foxed faced bell ringer.
Erm--
...?
what is it?
I just...didn't understand it...
oh.
I think it is the cheerful spectator juggling her work, her time watching events at the coliseum and spending time with friends like the Leaping Dancer spirit.
The clothing is similar to this concept art of the spirits that were grouped in different factions/professions.
The spectator is wearing a default dress outfit that either suggests she is a citizen or in perhaps a performer that is perhaps lower in the ranks in comparison to the Leaping Dancer's outfit that is more detailed.
Hello lore people, long time no see đ
Wait, where in the bearhug hermit memory ??? I only saw him saving the dreams girl from falling off a cliff
Keep an eye on the right to the slopes while following the hermit up the mountain.
It is around that point. Here is is the screenshot.
I never knew spirits could have a relationship with each other! Thanks for pointing it out!
Have a look at slouching soldier's memory if you have time :)
His also has non-season spirits making an appearance.
I actually noticed that but I never knew that it was them-
Since some spirits look identical and some unknown or anonymous
What- from TLP season ??? I do recall seeing something tbh but I was with people so I couldn't see much...
True. True.
There are spirits with duplicate cosmetics that makes things a bit tricky tracking the originals for.
Take the group from all of the prophecy spirit's memories.
Come to think of it, what happens if you start all of them at once?
Would there be any overlap when they gather??
You can't, starting one makes the others unavailable.
I dont think its possible to even relive spirit's memories at the same time, probably due to performance issues
Is that even important to Sky's tale? Aren't collabs usually non-canon?
I want to test this. đ”ïž
I could have sworn to have seen more than one active memory in the same area at times.
Server crash if it really happens
Collbas could be tricky.
Though I believe by identifying the lore parts to seperate from what is from the book and what is from the game, one can hopefully see where the line up.
The seasons tend to give more context to the lore of the game and from what I gathered from the Little Prince, is how the game can include some meta facts to it.
Meta facts? Like what?
I'm down to try two prophets at once in the cave of Prophecy if you really think it's possible; I know for a fact triggering a memory makes the other ones in the area unavailable to you, so we would need two players for that.
Although I think it will just make the other's spirit invisible to us...
Would it? When more than 1 person is involved in someone's reliving, you can still get the relive Daily done if you got at least one memory yourself.
That's because we relive the same memory I think ! I'm talking about reliving different memories on the same server
Ohhhh... well then I have absolutely no idea
As for the Students of Prophecy, I have a no-evidence headcanon that they're the base spirits in their childhood, I even have brainrot of them
Headcanon: the students are ancestors of the Spirits we all know and love to steal cosmetics from
I think the students are the figures... er... "taking a nap" on the trial cave paintings.
what
On the wall painting depicting the trials, you see characters lying doen
Religious connotations, connection with other fables, the world's history and culture.
Even though I can link them to the game on their own if they have information that works with it. With the collab, the game can be opened up to more genres and enforce any other theories.
Thanks @rigid mural
I had just checked it out and saw your message. I will remember to ask you to join on any future experiements instead of dragging my poor moth assistant into them.
You are right about the multiple memories cannot be activated by one player. But, multiple memories can exist when multuple players are reliving them.
TGC did think ahead on what happens if the memories would overlap one another.
What happened when the group fragment appeared, the second one simply overwritten the first. So, it was still one memory fragment. But any player can interact with and progress the memories.
Despite that, you can only complete the memory you started and not any other ones you were not a part of.
It was an easy and short experiment.
Cool! Thank you, Raider! This experiment will be catalogued. *archives it in a Vault Lantern
Sorry I'm not over the moth assistant. I just imagine confused honking...
Trust me, that moth has seen things. Though it is for science.
I think they are still glaring at me when my back is turned.
frog
Hello! What's the most interesting piece of lore right now?
The message boats? Let's tall about those. How do you think they work? I think it's either a seperate piece of paper or on the orange paper itself, and the paper is a bit magical. Plus, I like the idea of skids throwing a bright orange paper airplane through the office constellation gate for a bug report.
Message boats? I have a headcanon that they're made of magic-imbued paper, and back then, the way you folded them and the ink color you used determined if they would stay or go with the tides, and the message's intended recepient.
Probably the most trending lore right now is about the Eden King and Megabirb!
Well, from my observations, not 100% sure
I'm still excited I found a boat shape in Eden. Perhaps the ark idea made it live !
I'm gonna test the lamp next run to see if I can use it to see through the darkness and storm clear enough in Eden, and if it is satisfying enough to help find hiding places, might invest in it.
Do you think the ark got destroyed due to edenâs explosion or because it got attacked by a creature?
What about both?
Explosion. I don't really like the idea of light creatures attacking ancestors, as cool as it might sound.
I think we're talking about krill here.
Krill aren't light creatures yeah, so why not. I like to think they are products of ancestors messing with dark stone.
Since krills are corrupted sky critters now I guess you can say it was....technically a light creature? Eh.
In the concept timeline, krills are creatures that got caught by the explosion and became corrupted, I think
Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... eenteresting...
When the explosion happened, the whale's skin and fat burned off, leaving their corrupted bones.
Just be mindful of some holes. Three times in all of my times messing around there, I ended up in deep holes where you cannot get out, which is not too bad since you can go home.
I don't plan on going oob tbh, and I'm confident in my flight efficiency so I will probably just fly up lol
Where's that from?
This is a cropped image of the images the vault elder would have projected to prepare the skykids.
This was early concept art, and unless I am mistaken, the king would have been fighting a ginormous creature in Eden, though that concept never made it to the game supposedly.
Wow, that's so cool.
Now we have King with biggol light orb
My Sky theory/brainrot/headcanon:
Light specialists such as Team Lightseekers and Team Enchantment were ordered by Resh to gather light for his project (the orb). To the civilians, this orb was "The Ultimate Offering" to Megabird, because that's what Resh told them in the announcements. However, the reality was so much darker...
The Scholars of Vault were also critical thinkers, and they eventually realized that Resh was lying. Lamed supported the Scholars' proposal, and gave their testimony on the royal happenings concerning the Orb. The Scholars attempted to protest, but no one listened, and eventually they fell silent.
Then the orb was finally finished...
One day, the King invited everyone to a ceremony on castle grounds.
He showed a ball of pure light that he had been accumulating for quite some time.
"The divine offering to Megabird has been finished, and I shall become the vessel for it! Behold my ultimate act of worship!"
The crowd was filled with cheering, but also... protest?
Most of the elders seemed to be in favor the idea, except for Vault, who had a troubled look on their face.
The crowd was silent in suspense...
The king took the ball of pure light and swallowed it.
*collective gasp
The king started to feel a throbbing pain...
"F-father? W-what's going on?!" Alef fearfully said, as he watched what was happening. He really didn't know much about his father's plan until now, but something didn't seem right...
The king screamed, and then...
Word limit?
Cliffhanger
Discord word limit ended a civilization.
Cliffhanger? Yeah, that's all I got rn
But what do y all think?
Epic. Way too epic. Also can I headpat Alef?
Tho I do have one question, what does it mean by "Once the orbs were completed"?
Once the Pure Light Orb is big enough.
Hah, the reason why the kind screamed is because he chocked on the damn thing
If elders could defeat some krills why skykids cant?
Skykids are kids, there are mainly two reasons, Skids dont know how to defeat them, and they are not strong enough
Also, Elders can't defeat krills...?
Because they're the ones that died...?
And the krills now roam kinda freely...?
Elders and skids are different species (tho some thinks skids are a sub-species of elders, and ye this is canon)
Do krills choose to stay in eden and wasteland cause itâs dark enough?
for the switch,The season of flight stuff came for me like the candles, but where is the location for it? i checked in hidden forest but its not there
it was a preorder
oooooooooh
the actual content is coming soon
But then if that was true, (about them wanting light) why wouldnât they just go into the rebirth section of Eden? Unless you can only go there once you die
Patience young and fortunate one đ
I am sure the next season will be a blast and have plenty of content to explore and theorise about.
I have a question: do skykids have the yellow glowing eyes, or no eyes/always closed eyes and itâs just the masks which have eyes? Because all the masks have the yellow eyes, and the chibi mask even blinks! Which, paired with the nintendo trailer, makes me think that they do have eyes, but just opt to not blink (bc they can do that) as they grow older. But then i question, why do they close their eyes when they take their masks off? I mean we all know they can still see/sense with their eyes closed too but like, whats the point? Or, and this just occured to me, do their eyes act as a âwindow to the soulâ and have untaimed star power in them which can vapourise anything, and the masks filter it a bit? Idk im speculating here, please what are your opinions?
I think ..... i spect a plot twist of the game in the future
Like 10 days of darknessin all realms (using 1 or 2 servers and only for people that reborned )
I like to think skykids have eyeball beams so bright, it would be very annoying to have open eyes without a mask:
Here's my theory. A bit unfinished but it works!
It makes sense, but the maskless looks like itâs the original skykidâs face. Idk why youâd have to pay to take your mask off, which is where your theory comes in, but for some reason having the skykids blind makes me a bit sad :(.
Also. I found the problem as to why the Storm didn't affect Valley up (as much)! So it's kinda like how rain can't get past mountains, since the Valley race is downhill it would be a natural barrier lessening the blow on the previous realms.
Thatâs actually a really good theory. I never thought of that, but it makes sense. I wonder if it was always raining in forest or if that was the eden big bang
ok, let me go over the evidence:
Skykids used to blink their eyes in past updates, though there were supposedly issues with all the players, so now only chibis can blink their eyes. (I have not been in the game during those days).
Skykids do rely on sight to get around given they cover them during hide and seek. When the game starts, your screen goes dark to show that the skykid is now closing thier eyes and you as their player are also blinded.
About the maskless face with their eyes closed. This may be more catered to an in game visual as a cosmetic than the skykid willingly keeping their eyes closed while moving around. It can be assumed that the skykid can open their eyes while maskless, though it may look odd with the game's visual design (see maskless spirits and their eyes for comparison).
It is very likely the case that skykids have glowing yellow/golden eyes, which is may be coming from the same source as the lights in their chest. Given how skykids that lost their light, close their eyes. I think this is to lessen the effect of their eyes may either be black out or possibly hollow since the light is out.
Hope this helps.
This might also help to explain why there are less dark plants at the higher areas of valley, since it is either the same height or even higher than the cloud layer. VAlley may not be as high up as Eden, though I agree with your theory of Valley acting as a natural barrier for the further realms, why the lower areas have plants and why the waste of wasteland can be diverted, if not delayed from spreading.
Thank you, that brought to my attention a lot of evidentual concepts i didnât think of. I think the glowing from inside them is indeed related to their chest, it being the fragment of a star which they are born from. When their light goes out, again it would make sense that their eyes go out, and closing them could be a natural instinct because thereâs nothing left there.
The temple elders some were bad?
Sky kids open their eyes but the player camera has a very bright light so if you face towards the screen they close them! đ
Yes. It is either they keep their eyes closed.
Or that how the game renders the effect.
Are spirit mantas basically dead, normal mantas?
I find it weird how sprit mantas come after wasteland, since at the start where we meet our first krill we witnessed the death of a baby manta, only to see it on the third floor, just reincarnated into a spirit manta.
Some think theyâre dead mantas, some think theyâre a projection of a manta
I think that they're the skykid's memory of a manta. Their perspective. The whole vault is from their perspective imo instead of it being a dream exactly (hc tho).
The gw section of it, there was a connected manta, which I think is a symbolism to "krills are dead and light hunting, vengeful mantas instead" bit. They now kinda hate those who had light, because of trauma, because of the people who extracted it or both, and therefore basically hate those with light. Like sky kiddies. That's my hc tho so aaa
What exactly is the story behind the murals in the Prophecy caves, before you actually reach the main cave? I know that they have to do with the elements that the spirit prophets represent, but thatâs it
I just assumed it was showing off what each element does. Brbrbrbr some say it shows where each one was found.
Hi đ
i have a possibly interesting topic, whats up with these and why are they only in prarie and what could they mean?
What are the twinsâ personalities? Do we know at all? Or any of the elders, for that matter
And do the elders interact with each other?
The gates I mean... they remind me of shinto torii gates in japan
The doc says they all know each other because they all came from the same place. The only areas they interact, if you can call it that is in vault summit and orbit. But that will not prevent myself from seeing them all as a large chaotic family of adults to skykids
Its speculated that the telekenesis spirit room was a conference room for the elders, they probably spoke especially since the table and the chairs are so huge and there are 6 of them
yoinks the information
I can go grab u some pics of the room hehe brb
:O thank you for that perspective! I never thought of it that way
Elder personalities doe?
Whaaaat you have to pay to have be maskless?
looking back at the final dialogue after the final TLP quests in which the ||little prince began his journey to eden||.
âHow to reach him? Where to find him? Itâs so mysterious, the land of tears.â
maybe it just hasnât clicked for me yet but this one left me with questions. i presume these were the playerâs thoughts but letâs say they werenât. maybe it was that of the prince or the rose. idk where iâm going with this but i wanted to shed light on it
Isle Elder is grandpa. Literal grandpa. Love Skykids, loves showing off staff action.
Prairie Elder is that one uncle that loves to sneep snorp. (I mean have you seen their cutscene?
)
Forest Elder is that one aunt that keeps judging youâŠbut is still the cool aunt.
Valley twins are the fiercely competitive siblings who are your cousins. They're so good at everything that no one even tries anymore to find flaws in them but secretly everyone's jealous of them
Wasteland Elder is that one uncle that served in war/the military.
Vault mama is literal mama. They love everyone and will adopt all stray animals and tell you bedtime stories and give you hot chocolate
snorp!
I wouldnât have thought forest is the judgey aunt ngl
Its a quote from the book! Almost everything written in TLP season was a quote from the book
I don't really know how to describe itâŠlike they know they're powerful and won't let you forget it, in a way?
Oh hell yeah they are that aunt
Heres the pics of the room for contexts sake
Any thoughts on this by the way? Been meaning to present this to yall for a while lol
oh whoops. nevermind then
i totally forgot despite having read through it pretty recently. thank you!
Assuming the twins wont share a chair, I wonder if any of the elders were not present for this meeting, or some of them would be standing in the room.
Oh my goodness I hadn't considered that
lol neither did I up to just now and thinking about it!
The twins playing competitive musical chairs due to elder oversight is a funny idea though.
Lol
maybe when the table and chairs were set there, the valley elders hadnt split yet
Some of the stools are worse for wear too. Maybe one got buried or crushed or somethn at some point....
Lmao imagine if the elders are trying to have a serious discussion and those two idiots are just squabbling in the corner over a chair
Vault eventually gets up with a piece of chalk and draws a line RIGHT down the middle of the chair seat and the twins have to perch on their own sides.
Then they spend the rest of the meeting jabbing each other under the table
Pffffft
Hello lore chat, today I bring you a few interesting screenshots.
On the topic of the twins, here's the first one.
I always found the disposition of the candles on their altar interesting; a circle, often symbol of a whole, being divided in two... food for the split valley star theory ?
Calculating the needed amount of sneep snorp for #lore-discussion-spoilers...
This one on the first part of Eden, featuring the face of the local elder above the door perhaps ? Reminds me of the forest temple door with the old concept elder mask still visible.
And finally, not a detail but still in the same spot, the visible pipe reminds me of earthquake damage in cities where whole buildings are leveled and pipes are exposed and broken and the whole ordeal is a tragedy.
Maybe the Eden cataclysm deformed the land around it...
Interesting to note you can see the castle spires far away, if mapping the world of Sky is one of your goals.
the mask above the entrance reminds me of the golden one over the entrance to the daylight prairie temple. The mask design looks a bit like the old design of spirits.
Way back in the beta, the spirits used to look like masks much like the gold on above the temple entrance.
Let me look for the video for it real quick.

Thank you!
I wanna know whatâs up with Isle elder and why he doesnât seem to be included a lot. Heâs probably my favorite one and I hope that Flight has some more lore on him, just looking at the description for the seasonâŠ
âGliding aloft currents of wind, players will uncover new insight into the lives of the creatures who fly beside themâand uncover a feature that carries them from an ancient crossroads to the winds woven throughout the world of Sky.â
Sounds kinda like the boats to me
Isle Elder used to be a tutorial before we reached the Aviary, beta Home.
His realm seemed the least populated (only 3 non season spirits, one or two structures of the ancestors and then the temple).
That and the damage he got seemed the worst compared to the other elders (his mask was destroyed )
Though I really hope his realm gets an expansion in the future, even if his is the tutorial realm, the latest update do not feel like it did the realm justice.
Especially adding the other elder's constellations to his cut scene feels off to me. Not sure if it is because I much prefer seeing just his constellation and then discovering the others as I go, or that it makes the Dawn realm feel redundant. As if it is just a place you have to get through so that you can quickly get on to the other realms that have much more going on.
That and the daily quests never include that realm so players revisit the place less often unless it is winged light or to get to the prophecy cave.
Again, I know it is a tutorial realm, but still!
Right?! Theyâre the first one you ever meet and the cinematic of the broken mask is probably my favorite in the whole game. I need more stick grandpa content!!
In this house, we appreciate bird grandpa.
fun fact, in the beta, he had boats in his scene! Which actually makes sense with him being the ferry man.
Sadly, his mask would break after he used his power to revive the boats. đŠ

Do the elders have names btw? And whatâs the naming system for ppl in sky, elders and skids alike?
they don't have canon names, but there are names assigned to them from old concept art
They don't, but they have concept names we regularly use here.
The current names are 'The elder of [insert relevant realm here]'
They had hebrew names in their concept art, which are no longer canon.
Depending on the person, you would either hear the realm name, thier nickname, or even their old names from time to time.
Ex. Dawn elder, bird grandpa or Forest, cool aunt, forest mama etc.

What were their concept art names?
In order, from isle to vault:
Daleth, Ayin, Teth, Samekh, Tsadi and Lamed.
Samekh is shared by both twins, though some people separate the names as Sah and Mek.
Also affectionately nicknamed Kakashi
and Dora
.
Dawn - Daleph
Daylight Prairie - Ayin
Forest - Teth
Valley - Samehk (Sam and Mekh respectively for the spiky hair and mushroom/dora hair)
Wasteland - Tsadi
Vault - Lamed
King - Resh
Prince - Aleph
DALEPH
King and prince?
Here is concept art that showed the names and the prince with the king.
The prince (not to be confused for the Little prince from the past season), has been seen in concept art, though I do not recall him ever being added to the game.
The King though would have possibly been added, though due to changes from beta to live, the lore was changed and the King 'can no longer be saved.'
So he may not be physically present in the game, though signs of him are everywhere.
He would have been the 7th elder, supposedly the elder of Eden, and the King of the Sky kingdom.
Bottom left teth đł
Why sky has a pipe system , if skykids doenst leave any wastes ( Idk if elders do
Wasteland and Eden leaves a lot of polluted darkness behind, while some pipes allow creatures to travel through them, others pump out a tar like sludge.
Um ???
Thanks for the HQ pic Raider.
O.O
Where did you get this?
oh!
I thought it was a separate image.
Thanks.
eden crown eden crown eden crown
we don't got parents so are all the sky kids opharns?
skykids are supposedly born, if they can be reborn that is. It would be reasonable to assume the creator/parent would be megabird, though I have not idea if there would be something else
"Eclosion: The emergence of an adult insect from its pupal case, or the hatching of an insect larva from an egg. From the French eclosion, from eclore, to open."
The diagram is comparing motes (wax?) to larvae, the Storm to pupae, and Megabird to adult butterflies.
It suggests a common theme of order as an overarching goal and chaos as the antagonist. If Megabird is the ultimate archetype of order, and free unassociated motes of light are the archetype of chaos, then the Storm represents an intermediate transitional stage of the process of order emerging out of chaos. The whirlwind with its symmetry, focus, and ever inward and upward directionality.
I will miss that long blank wing cape. Imagine the wing span you would have had.
Either way, am looking forward to exploring the heck out of the new area.
The bird has some yellow on it.
Tutorial bird?
doubt it. the tutorial bird would not sit you a skykid's head like a possessive pigeon, with all due respect.
Really none plus with pets on one's head.
? What do you mean? Why wouldn't the tutorial bird sit there?
Oh it also looks like theres a second bird being held by the spirit one to the right. This can be seen in both pictures
Bird head spirit my beloved... I want to give them a hug
Agree to disagree.
On the arm, on the shoulder, on the back, or heck, hanging on the locks of the hair is fine with me.
But on the top of one's noggen may look cute for the first few seconds, but not all the time.
That's because you're a coward.
? Im just asking why you think the tutorial bird wouldn't sit on their head while this bird would?
I'm pro-bird on head !
Which one, the spirit the bird used to be on or the spirit the bird is now on?
Insert "both. Both is good" meme
that is literally my personal head canon, lol.
That is not me trying to theorise.
I would die for them.
Ohhh. Ok lol
Also, relevant to lore...
lol, imagine distinguishing guano from white hair.
Our known Galaxy is the milky way. The milky way is in that.
The word means "Immense Heaven" in Hawaiian.
- pigeons can be trained to go to a special place for that like cats
guess what word the bot censored- i don't see you complaining about the bunny tho
Is it just me who thinks that sky kids look like some creature from Hindu mythology?
Especially the standard "moth" look?
1 - I am impressed, though still not trusting pets on my head.
2 - Do light creatures leave droppings?
I have no idea. Not enough evidence to investigate that. That would likely be a dirty job that not even my moth would do without any repercussions.
3- You dont see me with one on my head either.
Nope, there are several religions, mythologies, philosophies and even fictional writing that one can theories on in the game.
Indeed
"Droppings are just extra decorations for your hair"
-Happy Ameoba
Ameoba I'm going to throw you in the sanctuary islands waterfall and make you wash your hair.
One example could be the green light in birds nest, but i dont think its a dropping so much as being carried or flying with the mantas
YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST!
Oooh a toilet!
Dips head in

Guys- my heads stuck. Help.
Proceeds to drown
There are visual influences from regions where Hinduism is/was prevalent, we can say. Yes.
last month, the lore chat lost its mind over what the dark water could have been, when couple with the memory of the soldier.
Now, it is the matter of whether a bird on white hair is a good idea, in addition to if light creatures can leave droppings.
They don't, because they are made of light.
The clouds have droppings, but they recharge our light and the creatures are born from them.
As a spirit, i try to trade things for candles.
"No, i do not want your hair."
"I'VE SEEN YOUR SPIRIT MEMORY, THAT HAIR IS GROSS"
"I DON'T CARE IF IT'S ONLY 5 CANDLES! IT'S STILL FLIPPING DISGUSTING"
AH HA SO THATS THE CULTURAL VIBE I WAS GETTING. Glad to have a name for it
Those temples and the flags on them DEFINITELY reminded me of the places Tibetan monks live in.
Hnngh patterned cape
Huh, so that's what's hanging on our garden. I was confused what it was.
Yeah, it has the Buddha on the middle with words I can't read
Well, I think it's Buddha
Ooh, looking at the architecture
I would love it if someone compared/contrasted the architecture in Journey to Skyâs. Are the same or different in style, and are they inspired by different cultures or similar ones?
The non seasonal questgiver has an emoji in the sky discord
And that emoji is called ":SpriritFriend:"
The normal questgiver is our friend!
And high five a friend works with the assembly guide
It does???
behold

I thought it was some random spirit I don't remember
It's a perfect reaction to anyone who's been missing for few months and asking where the previous season go when coming back
Problem is, Skykids are gender neutral, the only people who were gendered so far was prince, rose and perhaps the spirits there (I'm not so sure, have to go through it again) which means that it was to TLP by Player (or Skykid. Either would make sense).
how is being an ac130 "angel of death" airship a problem, ur skid can be whoever u want them to be

Okay, Iâve always wondered this: why is the table so darn BIG? The chairs are HUGE, and even the big spirits are THAT large???
Oh oh oh I seeee. It might be the Elderâs meeting room! Wow, I never thought of that!!
Firstly, a foreword that I'd use the term auncle for people who genuinely don't fit the binary imo
My imagination so not canon necessarily:
Isle Elder is someone who just wants to show how he has an interesting staff which directs the bird. Literally. Like how some grandparents are to their grandchildren who are young--playing coin tricks and all!
Prairie elder is an auncle who also loves coin tricks, and takes that gene from the grandpa. But then even if they're very lively they end up sleeping for hours/days(?), which results in less time to see them.
Forest elder seems like an elder sibling who tries not to complain but if they see something they need they literally just snatch. Something like them who keeps a strong facade (they'd say something like "I'm alright y'all are worrying too much" while there's a gash on their leg or something). They'd try to maintain it, generally be sneaky if they found something to help (like a bandage for instance if offered) but if it's too strong they'd be desperate-ish. But idk, I mean they did snatch light off easily from skykiddo when they had the wrist pain...probably has anger issues and realises it, tries to change it but still remorseful that they're hurting people which leads to a bit of dislike towards themselves. Also seems like the person who would come up with an excuse to cover their shortcomings up.
Valley twins are lively, and probably don't like to be un-lively much. They quarrel with each other but bond in the end. They use sports and games as a cure to their boredom and probable sadness and other negative emotions. They put their spirit (spirit, ha!) into whatever they do too. Breadth longer hair (
) is the more calmer and rational one (special attention to more) than height longer hair (
). They are the people who would visit other realms for fun but still favour their relam much more. Though they are chaotic, they know some things requires discipline and can swing the other way well-ish too.
Gw elder is the silent uncle who doesn't speak much. Always quiet, but does seem like a great soul. An uncle you always want to talk to about anything only to know them more but you don't want to say something hurtful because you know they went to war and might get some traumatic incidents back so you prepare some topics beforehand making sure you don't poke around war much. Probably ends in short talks even if both are curious about another. Really seems like a person who believes in something but sacrifices it just for the sake of others.
Vault my beloved auncle (tied to Isle elder) is just. They'd also be quiet, but when you speak to them it ends up philosophical and heartwarming most of the times. They bring out the positive in negative stuff (they'd easily say "it's not bad to be forgotten, for your faults will be remembered generations together and you'd have more stress to be ideal"). They hardly let anyone get into talking about themselves because they prefer talking about the other person instead of well, themselves, but if they do trust their instincts, then well, they could talk days about how you made them happier or how a kind old lady smiled at them and helped them or something.

thinking of another headcanon with angst about the spirits of sky
Share, if you don't mind? :O
i think this time i'll go with Assembly, since i have a feeling that they have a connection with the Lightseekers
The scouts were the remaining members of a kind of Assembly made in forest, as a sort of preparation to becoming a member of the Wasteland's military division and serve the King.
Ever since the Great Fall of Eden, the Forest had been shrouded with clouds and constant raining, which raindrops were cold and harmful to the ancestor's light that resulted them to their demise. Many have died on that day and all that was remaining were those who had hidden in shelter, only being able to leave behind their memories.
Of all those who had survived were children of the members of the Assembly, their fathers and mothers had been in the Assembly and have left behind their children to continue their legacy.
there is a whole mess going on in my brain rn i haven't even thought out the whole thing im just bored
Wow
What is the story with Lightseekers?
i think im too tired to continue it i feel drained but all i can say is that the Lightseekers are probably what the Assembly children grew up to
but the problem is that both season spirits have their own memories, so that means the Assembly members have 2 memories
so i think they could be their ancestors
Oh?
That's--I just didn't exist at Lightseekers. Was there quests for that, like Sanct? Or was it just spirits?
nah i think Lightseekers only had daily quests and spirits to relive much like Gratitude
Random one o clock in the morning thoughts:
I head canon that skids use the butterfly hollow area as a clubhouse or home of sorts. After a long day of play, they sleep in the little nooks, looking up at the skylight at the stars.
Though, seriously, Iâve always wondered why the Butterfly spirit is inspecting those holes. Is this some sort of butterfly apiary and the nooks are, like, hives?
Do butterflies even have hives?
I believed they put the bottle storage things there instead đ
I mean we do have hammocks...in Forest.
as for the HC, it's really cute and i would like to adopt it
I once saw a fanart of Butterfly spirit tucking sleeping skykids into the holes in the cave for naps and it was very precious.
Random thought but I just realised that we could possibly be out of hard clay-ey substance which is mostly solid-ish but then can also like, be less "heavy"? (for the lack of better words rn)
The spirit memory looks more like the spirit is chasing butterflies much like a child does, IMO
Don't know if that ties into any theories or headcanons, but that's what it looks like to me.
And that fanart mentioned sounds adorable!
The seasons before the season of Enchantemrnt, did not have their own area with the guide staying behind for skykids to intereact with after the season ends.
If I am not mistaken, each of the spirits from those season would arrive in each realm, and the skykid wjuld be able to explore new areas within the realms to find them.
The season guides would leave after the season ends.
I so hope one day those seasons might comeback. Because since season of Enchantment, it is really nice being able to relive the quests of past seasons (Also that one day, players that completed the quests, can repeat them too!).
Seasons expansion
frog
I wonder:
Since the spirits have masks of the following animals; fox, weasle, cat, dog, sea turtle, bat, spider, lion, rabbit, owl, vulture, peacock and deer.
Would it it be fair to say that the world of sky has these animals?
Knowing the game has its limitations, I am asking this for the sake of lore.
If the world does not have these animals, then the humans must have learned about them from another world (earth).
That or, the world has them but the they are now gone along with the ancestors or simply not where us skykids are.
To further support this idea, the concept art of the early designs of the elders were animalistic, and there was once an image for a deer that skykids could have spotted.
Maybe the starfall also caused mass extinction. Maybe the bones of those animals also disintegrated instead of being buried/fossilized.
True.
The game does not have a lot of creature variety.
Aside from the different types of mantas, and different sizes of jellyfish.
Even if the crab is a marine animal, it is a land dwelling one too. Perhaps one day, the game might be able to include more creatures when they can.
Perhaps if the devs would be able to and are willing. Would it be cool if they ever made videos of sky? They do not have to appear in the game (like the nintendo trailer bell/hermit crabs).
But these animated shorts could spark up a lot of lore hints.
I know the Switch trailer has a lot of hints, but what creature-related hints?
I think low-poly models you see from afar prancing oob behind trees in forest would already make it feel more alive imo. It was supposed to be a misleading forest after all, and players will def try to follow them.
oooo
What's a moth watcher
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
The hermit crabs for starters, and the flying creature the ancestors were riding.
IKR. We have the paper birds.
And even if OOB paparazzi were to sus them out and see them as flat textures. It could be still be a nice touch to either tease about more creatures existing in the world, or make the place feel alive. It is not like even the castle at the top of the mountain was safe.
oh? is this the guy for the job?
no
gets kicked out of the megabird church for suggesting the creation of a new religion
Whoah paper birds
what if this is what message boats are made of /hj
There's inbound stuff that's lowpoly too, not like the devs fear players peeking to start with lol
So, I visited Vaults elder OOB yesterday and got to see some rune/letters on Vaults elder mural, not much variety but still different enough to tell apart and wanted to know if that is somewhat relevant to the lore? Vault is filled with these patterns like in the archives section and elevator and it's my favorite realm (mostly because it feels like dark mode) so I'd like to know more? Also, no its not the same as the cryptographic language shown in the concept art
Pics pls?
Hmmmm... any experts on languages here? This doesn't look familiar.
Pls ignore the prehistoric camera quality on these
Btw, since i brought this up, is the concept art crypto-language canon?
IDK, no one's actually deciphered it IIRC
Well, someone did decipher some letters but itâs outdated lmao
I mean, it could be derived from a real language (Hebrew, maybe? Since the Elders' names in the concept are are Hebrew?)
I put the image into Google Lens but it didn't turn up anything
Itâs a made-up language, so I doubt yknow
Honestly I could read it in english letters but it makes no absolute sense so
Some of it looks like Greek, some of it looks like pigpen cipher⊠
But really, I'm not sure it means anything
Most likely doesnât sadly. Also, I can send u the outdated/old sky decipher letters thing
Thanks for the offer! But
I wouldn't know what to do with itâŠ
show it anyways
Guys, quick question, in TGC's official YT, the Season of Flight trailer has been uploaded, is it ok to make a summary or close observations about it??
I have a feeling that this trailer can give lore hints itself
That's so cool! IK it's outdated, but I guess the wandering fanart makers have an extra ref LMAO
sure
So I rewatched th Season of Flight trailer || 2 times
||, the first thing that came to my attention that the arch in the seemingly entrance of the area has glowing drawings on it, what does this mean? Well, we have seen this multiple times, on in Forgotten Ark, the drawings on the cave of prophecy, etc. I belive that it will be the same concept as the 2 examples, being shown out of nowhere, the reason why this came to my attention is that maybe its showing us the way how they write it, its made up of light, since ink is not available in the current Sky Kingdom, the spirits have to find a way to contact the Skykids or perhaps the Megabird itself. The components of "Light ink" are unknown at the moment, but the way how the sprits/ Megabird contact to Skykids by writing is certainly concerning
I might make a theory about the wind paths in the trailer but in too lazy đ
Hmmm if I were to guess I'd say light ink is made from those tiny dot flowers in Prairie
yup.
It was just the one concept art with one incomplete alphabet.
Am starting to work on the murals at the moment. đ
Keep in mind that the game renders these murals as a floating textures off walls.
These could also either be carvings, paint, dyes, or even other means of marking the wall (suchas you special ink idea).
Theory: Flight, Prophecy and Enchantment are in the same era
I wonder why discord has been left behind and the news update does not include this lovely work
Bird bells! Maybe even my beloved tutorial bird.
What's a tutorial bird?
im...
wow
If tutorial bird returns, I really doubt it will be in the form of a mysterious bird-turned spirit here to grant you wings. But still.
But still, bird ancestors is a really cool concept. What would they be called?
Soulbird? This was the kid the bird turned into. In later versions it was swapped out for 3 normal spirits granting you wings, before being cut entirely.
I tried to get some buddies on the Journey Discord to help me "study" the architecture of Journey (aka take a bunch of screenshots) and if you want to join me for Sky we can do that! DM maybe?
I have a question. Are the big Manta like things at Vault 5th floor (the one with Valley symbol) inspired from Venus Girdle Jellyfish? I just saw what it looks like today and can see similarities of it
Lol, Iâm real life, no. But I was wondering if Sky butterflies, being fantastical creatures, had some sort of different way they were bred and raised by the Ancestors (or maybe ancestors didnât raise them at all, and just enjoyed them aesthetically like we do. As someone mentioned, I guess the Spirit was simply chasing them like a koot bab
)
Ahhh, thatâs make sense. That hollow was probably a great way to keep things cool. Maybe that kept the light inside pots from ârottingâ (like we see them do in the storeroom in the big Prairie cave)
Maybe the ancestors collected their pollen to use in light ink.... hmmmmmmmm...
Oh, yes yes, go ahead!
Iâm so happy you like it haha
GASP I really wish I could see this fanart!! So cute!!! đ
đ
Oh, kinda like what Overwatch did with their characters? Gosh, I would love that. We should mention this in the wishlist chat
Ooh, I like this idea!!
I havenât seen the season of flight trailer yet, but I feel like the new season will reveal more about the sky culture
Or at least explore the idea of indigenous peoples living in Sky island areas. They remind me of like, Incan cultures or something
Edit: ah I was trying to say that I agree with your idea that maybe the new season will explore how they manufacture light ink lol
Hey stupid q but whAt kind of trees could the ones in forest be? Basically any kind? Or has it been narrowed down any
Maybe theyâre a different kind cause thereâs stick trees in ark
Iâm not sure tho
Vault's forest floor also suggests there were different kinds of trees maybe smaller plants died because of pollution
Iâve always been curious of the forest trees once had leaves or not
Because I originally thought they mightâve had them, and they were just so tall they reached the clouds, but then the secret Prairie area ||shows trees with âclouds topsâ that are obviously made to look like foliage||. So...the trees leaves are clouds??
Secret Prairie Area? Which one?
(I'm sorry I have to visit it aa)
So you mean the vault level with those trees that grow when you light the candles? I love that little detail, but Iâve always wondered what the point was. You can play through that part without lighting them at all, and so itâs not like itâs part of the level objectives to get to the next room.
Sanct? (that's what I get from arrows--the wing direction representation?)
||the one with
||
I think itâs called ||Sancturay||
I think its the 8 player door
Where you summon the doggo?
Is that what itâs called?? I couldâve sworn you can open the door with just 2 people
Oh there
Ah yes how is it secret tho
Should see the trees because I actually never observed any except the one with the wl
According to many theories each vault floor represents each realm.
And after the 2nd floor vault transitions into a dream like world and whatever you see is stored knowledge of that realm on that floor.
So the trees on that floor might be once present in forest.
I wish I could open it with only 2 people, would've saved a lot of time
âŠno, there's a door in Prairie that requires 8 players
The third bell, a spirit gate where the
spirit is
(What even is my spelling right now)
Oh I thought that place was a spoiler thing
I have been forgetting to follow spoiler rules so I was trying to be a good little skid
Okay o get it now. The initial butterfly door takes two people, but once you get inside, you need 8
Yes oreo is a spoiler but you don't have to spoiler tag in this chat
Yes, there you go!
Ye, we're free real estate. Except beta.
Aaaa it's not a spoiler don't worry [Oreo is but we're not talking in this context (I think) so]
OHHHHH wowww. I never knew that!! Now when I play it again Iâll pay attention to how each level represents each realm
Oh what kind of houses should I build actually
The cutscene after you finish them shows the realm imo! I always thought they were skykiddie's PoV (true PoV) in Vault
Oh duh okay. I got it now! Thanks, fellas đđ
M tryna make my own secret area for forest which is just a village in the trees (building in Minecraft bc I canât draw environments) but I canât get it to work
Also there's no floor for vault i think the last floor is eden and the ascent to that floor represents vault. The last floor has the island with elder statues which can also be seen in eden so that floor might represent eden
THAT SOUNDS AMAZING
And Iâm sorry
keep at it! Youâll do it!
Kind of like "revealing your inner persona" being Vault? Idk, something like that. The whole vibes for me is just "this is now about your way of seeing, Skykid. Not the player's at the moment. It's about you."
Thank you!
Itâs gonna be Panâs home (the lightseeker dude I was asking about in #screenshots-and-videos n #seasons-events-chat before) but it just really doesnât click with me
Oof, wait â how do you guys count the floors in Vault?
My method is that the first level of Vault is the ground floor, and then the constellations begin.
The floor corresponds to the realm that is conjured up when we light the up the lanterns on the floor below it.
For example, the 4 lampposts on the ground floor + 3 lanterns = first floor of Vault. The constellation conjured up is
So the floor after the ground is the Isle floor for me.
Is it not the same for everyone else?
Huh!!!! I never thought about it like that
But I like to think of myself AS the skid haha
Speaking of which, in "Vault" realm, you see Mantas carrying you up. Is that a symbolism saying Vault helps in Skykids remember their previous journey, properly introspect, be prepared and Vault acts as something which helps in Eden? Idk
Any examples of architecture in sky anyone can quickly give me? Since I canât log on rn
Yep, I know it's a little confusing, ha! So do I, really.
But more like what the Skykids see rather than us, as players. Would be interesting because it would mean that they either see most of the world as dark.
Or it's just Vault being dark so that the light shines brighter.
For houses? I'm not so sure, Hermit Valley?
Or whatever you can make of Tearful Miner's. I guess it differs, in forest they have it flat somehow? I'm not sure why
Tearful minerâs memories?
And valley might be a good place to start ngl, lots of stuff there
I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT EITHER. Vault being a training ground or spiritual trial of some sort...like, remembering where you came from and where youâre going?
Really, it reminded me a bit of the Tower in Journey in that way (the final cutscene has the Ancestor show the Traveler how far theyâve come...and what their final trail will involve
). But the OST names the song that plays there as âAtonementâ, so it feels more like itâs connected to atoning for the ancestorsâ sins, somehow
I imagine the Sky Vault doesnât have that somber undertone? I mean, maybe the skid is helping the Ancestors atone, but idk, Journey almost made it seem like the Traveler was atoning for themself (some ppl theorize that travelers are reincarnated ancestors, idk)
.....I think I got sidetracked in talking about Journey lol. What was I talking about?
Oh no the general place hhhHAh
Also yes Valley, the citadel area being a great place imo
Ooh, I might know who you can talk to. There is a fella on here who is taking pics in sky and Journey to compare their architecture. They probably has a lot of pics to share: @cursive galleon

Did you also say that the home will be in the forest? Thereâs lots of adorable tree houses there
Wait thereâs treehouses in forest? I can only think of THE treehouse?
Trials, yes, ish? More of a mental trial. "See where you've come from, Skykid. You came as a simple creature, starting at Isle, as a capeless soul. Look how far you've come! I'm proud of you, for facing all the hardships--the trials, the krills, the crabs, and proud of you again for not being disheartened and still made friends. But...are you ready for the future?"-me imagining Vault if Vault could talk (so I imagine Vault elder saying it. And yes. Vault Elder would 100% say it.)
After I have lunch I should be able to get some screenshots of the treehouses! I might also have some spare on the Switch but none on my phone rn.
Iâm pretty sure thereâs smaller treehouses that has spirits in them. Itâs before my time on Sky, but I think they were part of the season of assembly. One features one of the assembly trials where you collect furniture; another one has these two spiritsâa cute ditzy girl who gives the blowing bubbles emote and this bigger, sweet guy who constantly looks out for her so she doesnât fall into things lol

Ooh, thereâs also that tree house with the table and fireplace in that one area...gosh, idk what itâs called. That was introduced in the season of belonging I think
Exactly!!
Where you go down to Underground Tavern? The place with butterflies and 6 giant chairs and a great table?
Hehe tavern
sounds like a cool bar to visit
jots down notes on what to add in forest area
Actually those trees still exist, they're in the Forgotten Ark, in the area the boat stops
One issue, that vault floor supposedly represents forest, not gw.
But it is possible it represents gw. These are just theories.
Oh, before I forget
I feel like this is a Journey reference, but it doesnât seem to correspond with the main player symbols. Seems pretty close, though
Sky isn't related to journey tho there are references to other tgc games all over sky. I think one of the devs said the symbols are like a seal? I don't remember the exact word.
I think you can find it in the qna pinned here
Top number four to the right supposedly can't show up for a player in journey. But it looks alot like our call or the prince's call without 4 of the dots.
I wanted to point out the Vault symbols but forgot
Probably means different though
Song that plays on your way to the altar is "An Upward Dance", probably referring to you traveling up the vault or the mantas doing that.
Elder cutscene is called "The Story So Far".
That makes sense, since the Murals summarise where you've been, and which Elders you've met
Yes they were seals containing the knowledge from past ancestors. But the thing itself is rotting so I was thinking maybe, just maybe in the future there will be a season that addresses that part đ
Makes sense as Vault gives a gist of sorts imo
Tag me if you need song titles, I got the ost on spotify
Noice
Tgc focusing on lore??? Well i lost my hope a long time ago
Nah bud, WE focus on lore.
Next season will bring some more crumbs maybe and that's it đ
We've discussed it all there's nothing new
We don't need a full canon story, part of the fun is discussing how our crumbs fit into the puzzle
The crumbs we get are dots on a dark board, and here, we draw the lines to make constellations.
I think it's cool they balanced vague storytelling with enough lore to make us curious.
Yes..ish.
Though I do have doubts at the moment which I can't explain well. What makes skykids special? Are skykids literally stars? If yes, then how are they different from the ancestors? Etc
Question, what if the King is not an Elder but just a skykid with disguising powers? Or that the power diamond made him more like an ancestor? I'm not so sure...just some unfinished soup. If anyone wants to taste it and add comments, feel free to do so
King is referred to as Eden Elder by devs (who can no longer be saved) so I believe he was on equal terms with elders to start with but might have gotten an advantage with the trial elements or that orb he is holding in the Vault elder cutscene
You mean the one that looks like a medical cross? I couldâve sworn that one does show up for the playerâI remember it being one of my favorite symbols! I might be wrong though; itâs been a while. And wow, it sure does look similar!
one sec
Edit: cause of slowmode, its gonna be a minute...
ok, you are right. I was thinking of this one. No wonder I was confused as to why I didnt remember there being those 4 dots and thus attributed it to the sky player rather than the sky prince
Huh, really? I wonder why they didnât store these memories in the main vault in the holocron-prisms. I suppose these were too special and stored in cubes (which hereâs a bother thing that reminds me of Castle in the Sky!)
Iâd love it if a season explored the greater meaning behind this little room
Heh, itâs fine! And that symbol DOES look like the prince symbol
The knowledge might've been stored to be used by future generation đ
True, maybe if happened midway, when greed got to them? Maybe, that is, because I know it has a lot of flaws
(Dang I love your pfp! Amazing how you edited all the pics of the LP planets together!! I just saw the place for the first time yesterday
)
He he thanks
Lorechat, I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but when I wore chibi mask and went in my height changed (aka the normal height to chibi)?
What does the mask do then? Are we default chibis? Help
Also yes I just observed that there you have the proper height as you were before the game. I thought masks wouldn't do much.
Headcanon: what if all of Sky is a dream? Like one of those dreams where you find yourself "waking up" but it's the same loop over and over?
I wanna sneep snorp right now so I just wanna leave this here
Feel free to ping me to elaborate on this â but I'll probably be gone for like 9 hours or more :P
Probably since the cosmetics are off you changed. The height seems important there, since the glowey boy always matches your height (a reason why i think that glowey boy is yourself). my question is why the left side (your character's right) of your stomach is bulging...
I think that's chibi normally...at least sometimes.
like, you have no mouth so its not like you ate something lol
The mask is off but I'm still chibi?
Also might be lore hah, but we have fixed proportions. From birth to "death ". When we get taller we get slimmer which isn't so obvious but when we get shorter we seem to be bulging sometimes. Maybe. Not sure.
? what's chibi normally? do you mean when you get extinguished normally? well i guess even then you have some light in you (your chest) but in this room, your light is no longer in you (its a dark spot instead). This is another reason why i think the glowey boy is ourselves (they are the light so since we see them we dont see the chest light)
Normally as in bulging. Ish. At least at some angles or I just have poor mobile which randomly bulges spots idk but mostly not.
Also I hc that bit as soul to body. Like we're controlling the body aspect, then we hug the soul of ours
gonna send a message with the evidence i discussed so i can save it lol
The height seems important there, since the glowey boy always matches your height (a reason why i think that glowey boy is yourself). and Even when you get extinguished you have some light in you (your chest) but in this room, your light is no longer in you (its a dark spot instead). Honestly I'm not sure the king himself is evil, I like to think the whole fiasco happened without any BBEG (big bad evil guy).
i should really, at some point, compile all of the evidence into a single message
Ive always thought glowy frien is our soul counterpart. The star in us which lights us up, gives us life, as opposed to the grey vessel a skykid poses as. These two things make up the cute, living, original skykids we are.
like how nuclear energy is extremly useful but has drawbacks (nuclear waste or dark water), and can cause disasters if handled improperly (chernobyl or the storm). People may think they understand it completly but not really understand it. Is it there fault if they don't know everything after doing extensive research?
Same here. He was a great person initially, had to be king because he passed trials (the only one), then had stress because of that and also not looking like the Elders initially until he did. And by then he was kind of consumed by greed. And then downfall. Basically what I was thinking lol, of course it has it's own flaws ish
A cool theory, but a little part of me doesnât like the idea of Sky not being ârealâ, in that sense
who knows, just as humans may one day be able to harness nuclear fission (much safer than fusion from what I know), the sky lifeforms may be able to harness a safer counterpart to the way darkness was used previously
actually...stars are powered by fission and in some concepts weren't the power diamonds called artificial stars?
To be fair I don't like the "it's not real, it's a dream which you can't wake up from" base on whole. Just personal dislike.
But what are the basis for this claim? Skykids have a real task right?
Wooaaaaa đź vault of knowledge could then be the place/people where they aspire to harness the energy, creatng these things which power the sky world (elevators for example). They are encased and safe in this tower, so their actions may have hurt those around them (eden, wasteland) but inside we only get to see the calm, serene version of the science, and the projects which succeeded. Everything else is tossed away and harms the rest⊠my, vault is really taking on a âselfish evil scientistâ vibe for me rnâŠ
or maybe its sealed up in case something goes badly/did go badly. Chernobyl was encased in concrete
This is turning a bit too distopic for me đ
well, also. Its in wasteland, and they could be trying to safely encase the waste material. The memory cubes (as they were in concepts) seem to be encasing power diamonds, and in the archives they themselves are again encased in those huge blocks. This doesnt make complete sense to me tho, just wanted to get it out there.
What does red symbolise in sky world?
In a negative connotation perhaps
Red has many ways it can be interpreted: bravery/courage, the desire to do your job, or being everlasting.
yea
tho is there red in sky but in different tint from the one in eden
... oh red candle
Quite literally in this context, I went afk and the meditation was all over. People "ascended". I was left behind with this.
Seems like diamonds were consumed really high and this place seemed to also become like Eden 2 that time hh
But it wasn't. Because I don't know. But it didn't work, thankfully.
I guess what drove it like that was because of how the power diamonds were literally big in the center. And the bottom bit had like a blue vein of "power" running through it. Idk what you call the blue part. Energy?
What prevented it? Because they decided to make it less dependent on power diamonds but rather manta in the upper (I guess). If upper to sumit also needed diamond and in a quicker pace, it might have been another Eden
The lightkid (or that is what I like to call them) will always match your height.
I have not yet tested it is also the case if you can use spells and this change heights in there, and if so, would affect the light kid.
This may a symbolic representation of the skykid being a hybrid of both the darkness and light. How we are parts of whole.
Now, there are also theories that this figure is possibly the sky prince, though there is very little evidence to prove this with confidence.
All that I have to show for it is the pattern the game has established so far. At the end of each realm, you meditate at a shrine, meet the elder, you help them, they help you and then you get to move on to the next realm. Even though the game has establish similar patterns with other aspects of the game, there does seem to be an exception to most cases. For example, there are only five chairs for the six elders. The isle of Dawn elder is the only elder that has his mask broken. Vault transports the skykid to a separate room (that lets you either to Eden, or go home) when they complete the realm instead of passing the shrine to the next area. And lastly an infuriating detail is how water in every realm would extinguish your flame and make you swim on its surface, however the only place where this does not happen is the ice rink area in valley of triumph that even allows for candles to burn under the water.
All of that said, the light kid is your other half. So it will naturally match your appearance except that it can glow and you cannot.
Adding to water, the ground water in forest doesn't take your energy off, just the rain does. Interesting detail, I'd say.
It's more of a question--in specific, I used a cosmetic (chibi mask) and I still remain the height in that area, that too, even without the mask. Which I found off truthfully but then wondered what the masks actually do.
ah, I see.
About the chibi mask. All that I can think happened is the game allowed you to stay a chibi, even though you lost your mask. Perhaps that is either an oversight to the game, or a decision to keep the skykid as a chibi in this instance instead of forcing the skykid to return to their original height without the mask. You raise a fair point, and one I think only a dev can answer since this may cross over to the game's coding rather than lore.
And yes, the water on the ground and the clouds themselves do no harm, but the rain still drains your light. So either it is in the air, or the realm could have been more dangerous if the water, or the clouds were also hazards.
Perhaps so. I do agree that it could be simply coding it such a way for convenience than lore related, possibly.
Strange, because in the beginning, before the first gate, there was nothing like that. It did rain there, at least I guess due to the puddle, but the clouds themselves don't do harm.
I don't think it's the air, because otherwise our skykids would not have survived the third area where the shortcut ends (shortcut that requires 8/8 forest constellation), at least that's what I think. But then, what is the toxic part of forest?
The reason why I am suggesting the coding. Just like you say it may be for convenience sake.
During the trials in season of prophecy, the game warns you that you cannot use any prop or spells. The chibi mask may not be a prop on your back, but it is similar to a prop, and yet you get to run each trail as a chibi with not issues from the game (despite the typical obstacles a chibi has to face such as with water or how they get caught on edges).
Perhaps it would be the water that is toxic to skykids, though the devs made the realm easier in comparison to Golden Wasteland by making the water safe. I'd like to think that the rain is potent with darkness, but when it hits the ground, the plants and the dirt quickly draw it in.
I like to think the water is unsafe to drink, and the rain is intended to be poisoning the forest, which could explain why the tree seem so dull and dead in comparison to other trees. That and the trees have been in the game for a long time, and have not been updated or polished since.
Do Skykids have a story, like where did they come from or how do they populate
nothing canon, although there is a lot of implied lore in the switch trailer and game
is there an explanation for why Lamed's mask is cracked
we woke up, got sent down to save the lost, thats our purpose.
somewhere in lore docs, theres a dev quote iirc, saying that were sort of a subspecies of elders.
imagine a storage facility, housing skids waiting to be activated and sent out. thats how i see us coming to be, since were as old as elders themselves
Does that mean Vault?
yea
Well I think it has to do with the burden of knowing all the tragic history!
ohh i c
Hi there lore kings, I want to make a question for y'all, who/what are sky kids? and what are they doing in the world of sky?
i like to think they are the stars that fell (in the switch trailer they mentioned that)
By analogy w the two-part diamond factory in Forest (light creatures trapped in darkstone), what if skykids were built by the Elders to be artificial âcontainersâ to trap the real WL stars? (âŠokay, that is pretty much how it works, butâŠ)
Stars that were sent by Megan? Idk
hello chat
that moment when your name is megan
Humanoid beings of pure light that were either self-formed,always existed, or created by a a higher power. I believe that their purpose is to repopulate the Sky kingdoms after the Book of Revelation
||pay your debt||
The Book of what now
yeah, the book of what??
hello, where are my 300 hearts
itâs been 3-5 months??? Idk, I lost count. Anyway, where are my hearts
I jokingly interpreted the storm and the fall of Eden as a biblical-style apocalypse
listen here u little piece of crab, where are my hearts
shut up you krilling idiot, i'm giving my lore
whatever, where are my hearts
// you aren't actually going to force them to pay 300 hearts? that's just cruel//
Itâs been months, plus it was originally 10 hearts lmao
Itâs because of copyright
The real number is actually 690 hearts btw
Huh
Do we keep it at 300 orâŠ
350
I think they are referring to the Bible?
If so, here is a wiki definition (a bit too tired to properly type it out, sorry)
The Book of Revelation â also called the Apocalypse of John, Revelation to John or Revelation from Jesus Christ â is the final book of the New Testament, and consequently is also the final book of the Christian Bible.
I went to sleep so I skipped that bit, apologies for such a late reply
Yes, but we have our masks intact of course. In all the trials, you have your masks--you're with them unless you're maskless. It was there in specific, which could definitely also be a convenience, or mask having another function(s) we're not aware of yet.
That could also make sense. They probably absorb all the ill parts of the water and instantly consume it, which affects them in the long run, but I suppose they had gotten adjusted to it.
Okay, re-looking at it because yes.
Now, instead of the texts, notice how the lanterns(?) have the glowing light in their center? Is it to represent the downfall in general + downfall in light?
Or downfall of realms + how high up their location is?
Assuming the 6 lanterns represent a realm each, Isle and Vault is not taken into account. Why Isle? Is that to mean that they're on ground?
Both are tipping at forest and then comes the downfall. Why? Does the first symbolize the use of power diamond, and second being how the downfall was in their kingdom as they jotted it down?
(Really sorry for the ping aaa)
Question, isn't Vault's "sumit" (medi quest) is the place where we saw cutscene? Maybe it wasn't exactly attached to Vault?
But then again this makes complete sense.
So I don't mean this in like an aimless form, because that opens up the question "If this is a dream, what is reality?"
I began with thinking about the line "Darkness came and the stars fellâŠ" and I wondered, Fell from where and fell to where?
To which there seem to be two possibilities:
- Sky was the kingdom they fell from, but they ended up somewhere else. (Question is, where?)
- They were somewhere else and they fell to Sky. (So where are the Elders from originally? Eden? A different place entirely?)
[Part 1]
The first scenario seems to lead nowhere because it requires you to think about a realm separate from all of Sky. It makes sense if you think about the fact that Sky is the kingdom that was destroyed, and the spirits and elders are somewhere else. But then, they wouldn't need saving, would they?
That's why I thought of the second scenario. But then that got me thinking: We are reliving the spirits' memories. What about the Elders' cutscenes? Are they memories, too?
And I think that they are.
[Part 2]
I think that the Elders' cutscenes add up to a story. The story about how they lived in Sky, and even how they fell, and what our role is in all this. And they're supposed to be dreamlike, aren't they?
So it makes me wonder if the spirits made their home in Eden before their fall. Then Eden got corrupted, and the spirits fell to Isle. Why Isle?
Notice how Isle is a realm excluded from the dailies, like Eden. Notice how the "come here" spirit is the only one that encounters a star child. Notice how one toll of the Eden bell appears over the Isle portal.
But yeah. All of the spirits and elders fell to Isle first and then spread out.
Maybe Isle and Eden are the realms independent of dreams or illusions.
The rest of the realms may be just as destroyed as Isle, but the Elders tailored them to appear the way they do. Prairie Elder and their love for butterflies made their realm appear like a playground. The Forest elder loved their diamond. The rest of the elders did the same thing with their realms.
That's what I meant by it being a dream.
[Final]
This is what my interpretation is, of the line, but this could be flawed.
Darkness came, and stars fell from Eden (actually a more higher place--edit: Orbit) to the realms. Eden is the most highest (in place) out of all the realms, hence more likely to reach the "Sky" (the Sky we're playing is sort of a ground level Sky. The Sky being referred to is where the stars are. Orbit, for instance. Perhaps this is intended to be Orbit?)
That's the destination, but the power diamonds had been overused and therefore lead to a massive downfall, especially of Eden, and now the Ancestors and Elders who wanted to go back had died there. What I imagine it to be was some sort of a grand ceremony of sorts, where the ultimate power diamond was in, and everyone was there (everyone = Elders. Spirits most probably did not know? At least some of them). Then that lead to them being destroyed. The people who stayed back did not have a leader any longer, and was now suffering leaderless (or Elderless) and eventually died.
How did Prairie or Vault be a result of Illusions (well any realm apart from Vault)? The only one which I found to be dreamlike/illusionary was Vault, and perhaps the only one. Others seemed pretty straightforward--or am I misunderstanding?
(hope you don't mind the pings)
My explanation for that is that all Elders have the ability to show their Skykids visions, in a way. Skykids enter a dream but that dream seems to affect reality in the cutscenes, right?
I'm extending the idea to apply to the entire realm. What if the elders also controlled the environment that they have power over?
I thought they were all pretty real, pretty much like Isle Elder's.
After you complete Prairie, you'd have the option to deep call with butterflies opened, which happens only if you watch the Prairie Elder cutscenes. All (except Vault) involves a door opening to the next realm only if you go through their memory. It does seem to affect reality but I'm not really sure if all of them are dreams. Probably memory reliving but for Elders?
I believe the "controlling environment of their realm" very much though, that makes sense
The main point I wanted to get across was about the Elders' controlling their environment, and it seems I've done that convincingly
The Elder cutscenes do confuse me, though. It seems like we're watching/interacting with a memory because it never changes. And also because we have to meditate to reach it.
A lot of the stories I read (fiction) have this idea that the main character possesses arcane powers, and they can have visions if they focus enough. Those visions do affect them, almost as if the new knowledge gave them new power. Maybe something similar is happening here.
Pretty much!
We're more so just reliving them, nothing too much to add perhaps? Our roles are pretty fixed--maybe centuries ago, that was what we did and now it remained fixed. I don't think we're interacting much to be fair. Maybe we just get memories sparked when we meditate there? Maybe the dead Elders help in getting the said memories to the Skykid's mind because they remind the skykid who they were the first time they went in.
We're interacting because we always offer our light to the Elders in the cutscene
And it makes sense that it might be a way to bring back repressed memories in our Skykid â something that was there but was missed somehow
(Like you have repressed memories after reincarnation almost
)
Perhaps so, but not much. Well we're just mostly giving light, that is it. Perhaps they're made to do that? To give light? (Or it's just natural reflexes, not sure).
Makes sense! Could be repressed memories too.
Also, I find it off that if we take our friend up till Orbit, they're there but then we land in different places. Like never in the same area, even if we followed through other parts. Why so? (I mean, I'm not really sure. I understand that the hugging-skykid bit was intentional, but landing too? To top it off, we do meet at Orbit even if directly before and after we don't?)
(Short note because I'm on sky and was counting.)
37 spirits were left behind. Seems like most did go forward to Eden, or died and couldn't relive (graves observed behind Vault first floor 4p door, Valley shrine sides, Shipwreck ship side)
Maybe some spirits already Ascended without assistance?
Seems needlessly tragic that everyone in the realm had unfinished business and couldn't ascend properlyâŠ
Also notice how the statues in storm lock all seem to be going towards the big red diamond
Well yes, seasonal spirits fulfil the purpose I think (ish, I'm not so sure because it did involve us).
In the sense, when they died they ascended, I think. (The graves we couldn't relive. The others needed our supervision, and after we did they were set free, at least that's what I think).
I never did to be fair, definitely looking forward to the next pnr run then
(Oh wait I thought you were talking about the rocks which hits us)
When we help spirits ascend why do they stay in the land of sky and not in orbit?
Okay yes, they're theorised to be corrupted skykids by one. Yes, perhaps because they were curious about what was there? Or to stop it there?
They don't normally get summoned, only because we stand close to their graves they summon [as in physically, I got the other dimension from Raid]. I'd say it's a sign of feeling indebted(?) to us for helping them ascend! That's my interpretation at least. They stay in Orbit otherwise.
The memories can be relived--it's a holograph kind of thing. Will stay there, take your time to relive it anytime
Oooohh
Are theyre any theories or reasons as to why befor pnr theyres skykifs that have crystalized shards that you cant free?
Crystalized shards?
The skykids who were before pnr--the victims of rock rain, perhaps? Do you mean them?
If yes I'm not really sure, just skykids who lost their lives before pnr perhaps..
Any idea what the hidden forest's and golden wasteland's constellations depict?
Blacksmith hammer and the base for forest, golden wasteland is the spear and sword
Thereâs an old theory where these Skykids with blu crystals stuck on them being an older generation
Also, if home is not a specific area but in the mind, how do you manage to go home before getting krilled, for instance, whenever you're in a possible dangerous spot and then go home because the krill comes near?
- that, we always recharge completely by the time we go home. Extra titbit, make of it what you will, maybe.
The game used to allow us skykiss to relive spirit memories only once.
That way, it would sugges that the skykid does not have to see them again in the mortal world. However, in later updates, we are now able to relive memories as many times as we like, regardless if the spirit has passed on.
gone,turned into dust
The intro says the stars settled in the clouds, so the elders likely fell from space (possibly orbit) to the world of sky when "darkness came".
you see those rocks when you reach the huge sun thing? is that like the darkness or whatever? or maybe remnants of it?
...where ?
Ohhhhhhh
Aren't those meteors or smth?
I meant asteroids sorry
idk, they could be something else
I think it could be a representation of leaving worldly woes behind for the divine truth (if that makes sense) â also a Hindu concept
||Former Hindu here||
Interesting how "The Deep" (plays on the second half of the krill-infested part of Eden) has the "king" leitmotif when the song amps up.
Reliving memories maybe?
I always thought its a reference to the quote "in light, there's darkness. And in darkness, there is light"
Me and my friend had this idea
The Sky news channel but make it a radio show
:0
_**This is your host, Osiris with your Daily Sky news. It's a nice day with slight windy. Perfect for flying practice.
We also have children struggling to finish skating quest of today!
**_
Does the Sky Radio able to communicate with elders like podcasts?
Imagine the Valley twins saying
_**"Hello, skykids! Coming from Valley of Triumph, we have more tall skids and chibis stuck in the floor again!
This is the fifth time this week and we think Teth is getting sick of breaking the floor-"**_
Imagine getting your Eden run broadcasted
"They're getting near to the cave-! Ooohhh they got krilled right before that. Unlucky child."
"That kid didn't know they forget few more statues while waiting at the front now lol."
Guys I think I understand the short lore but Iâm not really sure
Im too lazy to remember the lore
One day the Darkness came and took over The Empire! Only the chosen ones (us) can free the guardians and get them to the orbit! They go to Eden every week to try and defeat the Darkness! The elders are the ones rule the realms but have died the spirit are the villagers there but also died , we have hide for so long and decided to fight back! (Beginning) And we begin to free spirit from their dark cage. The wasteland is weâre the Krills Guard to make sure no players can pass Wasteland to not free the guardians,Forest elder sent the last Diamond block but in the way the light faded out so you had to give your fire to the Diamond block to the Vault elder, in eden itâs were the Darkness lives in Eden and now the Dark guardians of edenâŠ.
Hindu, but why would they use rocks?
Because I thought that it was quite literally the space and asteroids, but you've crossed it to reach Orbit (to depict how high Orbit really was).
But then again...this game is creative, that could possibly work, because rocks are "obstacles" anyways. Then would Eden mean that we're going through a hard time because of us being around worldly stuff in the past and we're coping through it to attain moksha?
Good job! But imagine a coherent political system ran by Samekh.
âAttention Valley kids. There are three chibi moths standing at the base of the air race screaming for someone named⊠butter. Could Butter please pick up the moths, theyâre scaring racers.â
There just Late Run radio for anyone who does their cr around 12am-5am. Basically a spirit who accompany skykids at the time
Really should draw this
Why is the isle elder not depicted on eden's door?
Oh my g o d that would be perfect. Like, security walking girls back to their dorms at night in college
But just that spirit and sky kids
WAIT WHAT IF IT WAS THE SALUTING GUY FROM THE WASTELAND BOAT
Wonder if I can draw this idea out. I'll credit you!
Aw đ„ș heâs trying so hard
:0 tysm
No problem!

One reason is the Eden gate in Home is an old model. But some people theorise that either Isle Elder was not considered Elders by other Elders, or he separates himself
This is an old knowledge tho, idk if thereâs new theories about Isle Elder not in Eden photoshoot
Fruity (iirc) talked about ancestors who could fly, and that got me thinking. So here I present the fact that why Ancestors aren't defaulted to flying naturally:
(or re-prove the fact, perhaps)
In Forest, the shrine first started with two stairs towards the sides. After you climb them, you then light up and there comes a staircase (the three line ones). Then you climb that, and do another light up, and then reach to the center.
Of course they wouldn't do all of this for one person (surely). And the Elder is too big for that anyways (though raises a question--how did they come up, then?)
Anyways therefore ancestors aren't defaulted to flying. The end. Imo.
butter,,,
Peep the sky creator reference
Think about this the next time you take a walk and look up at the night sky.
There's a natural beauty there. Like you know what you're looking at is older and more permanent that the human race will ever be. And here we are, tiny ants, pretending to be the center of everything.
In a sense, the universe feels like the truth. A place of ultimate freedom, an escape from the artificiality that we humans we have created around us.
For me, that artificiality is symbolised by the rocks as you fly up. And the truth of the universe is symbolised by the light of Orbit.
If we're talking about the cycle of life and death and reincarnation, there is also the concept of freedom from that cycle. When you realize that there's a truth higher than the artificiality around you, and the constraints we put on ourselves as we move through our regular lives.
Eden could represent the struggle it takes to realize that. It's not easy accepting that there's a truth higher than the one you're living. (I'm not trying to make this religious in any way.)
Look at the similarities
Ooh, interesting!! I like this idea a lot. Ties into the themes of the game well.
I wonder if this theme connects to the narrative in Journey too, or if itâs kind of a different theme
That is true. Thank you for clarifying, makes complete sense, really.
Idk if this counts as lore, but in replaying the bubble girl spirit yesterday, I noticed they made her face more emotive than Iâve seen them do with most spirits
She has shiny-anime-cry-eyes!
(Zoom in a bit closer to see if)
I dunno, I just was surprised to see such a cute and comical expression whereas they usually just have the normal âą_âą expression
I DIDNT NOTICE THAAAT. Awww I love bubble spirit. Even if she almost walks off a cliff.
đ„ș
Me tooooo. Sheâs such an adorable ditz
That is odd.
I'll have a closer look at that one.
As far as I have seen, there has not been any spirit or Elder that made an actual facial expression.
I am excluding skykids because the chibis can blink, wink, close their eyes and even close one eyes while taking a picture (If I am not mistaken), which would have carried over to all skykids, but this is not in the game currently đŠ
I love her buddy too. Heâs just so gentle and patient, haha. Hereâs a question: do you think they are best friends, bro and sis, or friends who might be something a bit more (they just donât know it yet đ)?
I hc the Assembly kids have a found family best friend relationship.
I remember in the art conference thing they showed off skykids with complete faces. Like, eyes, noses, pupils, the works. But they wanted the expression to match the players mood and coundnt decide if it should have an expression. So we got choosable masks instead.
Wait, Chibiâs can also wink???
Iâm still waiting for a mask that lets us normal sized skids to blink
I like the idea having the option to blink or not
Yeah, they seem more like that to me. Like a Huckle Berry Finn and Tomorrow Sawyer vibe (really, the assembly spirits give me that huckleberry Finn vibe of livinâ the good life in the forest as onery wood elves lol)
Wait they had human faces at some point?? Do you have any pics of this concept? (Iâve seen people doing this in fanart, but I thought it was more of a fan art thing.)
Itâs weird for me to imagine. Iâm so used to the cute simplistic skid faces, I think the hyper realism would look a bit uncanny
I believe this was a feature for all skykids at one point, though I cannot recall when this would be, or the exact reason why it was changed to only chibis.
If it were to be a software issue, I would like to know.
Being able to customize your face with masks I think is brilliant. But with how most use maskless anyways, imagining it like this is a strange and fascinating thought
WOAH THIS IS SO SURREAL TO ME

I MEAN THEY DONT LOOK WEIRD BUT ITS JUST...SO DIFFERENT.
This game would feel so different with Human lookinâ children
...Sheâs cute, but I like our skids better
I like to see them as brother and sister
I also hc that the guide for some seasons is voted on or volunteered so Assembly angst where the guide knows they can't go with their friends because they have to stay for the skids and ahhhhhhh~ they chose to stay behind so their friends could leave and a-
noooo tooo sadd
Come on, maybe he can just at least visit Orbit to see them sometimes, or vice versa
I have never seen any ghibli movies and I think it looks like a ghibli movie. I like the cute eyes. But I can imagine having changing expressions for every emote would be a challenge to develop.
looks cursed ngl
itâs funny you say that because I thought of Sheeta when I saw her
But yeah I have to agree with @frozen pivot, she doesnât look ugly, but it just feels...off
ah, that was probably when they were still figuring out the final look of what the player would look like.
There was even a interview or video about it too (iirc).
If they were to go with skin colours, even though it would be cool, it would make the skykids have a lot of variety.
Maybe they wanted the skykid to look more or less uniform or harmonious when you see them together, making them still recognised as a skykid.
Yall to used to skys current style. But yeah. Its hard to imagine anything else at this point
I like it
the journey stick bois in prairie edit looks more natural than it, idk both are cursed nonetheless
Yeah, in in a sense, it is universal and crosses over all cultural boundaries? I mean, maybe some would argue that might not be great either, but I see it more as representing humanity as a whole family than meaning that different cultures donât matter
Itâs skid culture where everyone is welcome and loved
*cultures and ethnicities I suppose I should say
Oh yeah I know tgc decanonized Journey in Sky but srsly what's with those few doors with Rythulian (journey travelers) figures but hands on them? I think that could be a cool lore mystery.
There was also a note in one art about differently colored skykid hair representing âbringing change to skykingdom in contrast with ancestors all white hair.â Guess that got flushed.
OHHH YES THOSE GUYS FROM THE JOURNEY CONCEPT ART. I love those fellas too. I used to follow a journey fanartist who drew them interacting with the final design travelers. The first hand-guy was the dad, the Ancestor was the mom, the white traveler was the older sibling, and the red one was the little kid, haha
And dude I love your name for the Journey people
where did you get such a cool name? (I just call them journeymen or travelers, but it doesnât seem to fit them well)
Oh, yeah can I remember seeing that concept art somewhere. Wonder if maybe they will incorporate more of the hair color thing one day
I mean that juggler hair has a yellow highlight so
It's on the wiki. I don't know when if first popped up

i think they did it right, colored hairs would be cool cus color and whatnot, but as bland and straightforward as the environment the game has, the white hair actually fits more
Maybe they thought different color hair would get overwhelming on screen with multiple people. Or maybe they thought it looked too garish and would not match the unity of the aesthetic and âcultureâ of Sky
Yeah I also agree: the white just looks so...heavenly and otherworldly. I personally love it. Colored hair would look...I dunno. Funky to me. Idk why.
It does stand out more, yep. Plus they made a big deal of making sure skykids looked good in groups, and a cape color + a contrasting hair color would be a little.......much.
Ahh so I was right on the money there
i think theres nothing wrong with a lil color, but if something's gotta change, cosmetics in forms of capes and pants already got it covered, u can still feel distinguished and colorful but still fit in the environment alone
Exactly! Good point
iirc all the concept options where kinda pastel anywhoo
Sky: Children of the Corn
I was I had a stronger expression to convey how funny I think this is
The Little Prince collab concept art
I wonder if it will make it into the art book with princey there....whats this from?
OHHHHH đ„ș I WANT A FULL IMAGE OF THAT PIC
CURSED
is that jenova chen? jenova chen is canon in sky?
YALL PUNKS JUST USED TO DOT EYES I SWEAR. Same I like mother and kirby series. BUT STILL-
Dang the merchant is channeling the dude from pilgrimâs progress there
What a heavy pack
Same đ„ș
lmao dot face supremacy
NARCISSIST HAD A PADDLE ??? WE WERE ROBBED
After seeing the concept art, I think that each seasonal spirit from the season represents each elder
-Gloating Narcissist got the twins outfit and paddle
-Sneezing Geographer got Vault head accesory
tbf tho, tgc themselves knew it firsthand, its why i think they had the eyes in maskless, closed
I like dot eyes. They are just naturally gentle looking and cute.
Look at this guy
Cute
Why tho
He ferried a boat or something??
we need paddles since like yesterday
gloating narcissist is basically an athlete, more similar to a performer like the twins
most vault scholars have the same foretablet, same goes for archeologist
I wonder what sport the valley elder paddles are a reference to tho
Also wait there's a ball of some sort kinda floating I think we found what the sport is though personally I hc the twins play a form of hockey, maybe with some aerial elements to it too.
His spirit memory was a performance with a boat at least
The Star Collector concept art gives me Prairie Elder vibes
I'd associate slouching soldier with prairie tbh since both are sleepy and got... pots...
OH YEAH I forgot
Maybe he used to work with boats and became inspired to be a performer with them instead
Too bad he never performed to an audience other than himself
Itâd be cool
Oh yeah speaking of Slouching Soldier we didn't see them in the concept art above

He probably was conked out somewhere. Couldnât make it to the photo shoot
They forgor đ
Slouching Soldier, Gloating Narcissist, Stretching Lamplighter, Star Collector, Beckoning Ruler and Sneezing Geographer. That's 6 spirits, like we got 6 (available) elders... with that concept art, maybe it's not far fetched to compare them
That pretty much sums up the poor guyâs life
Slouching Soldier trying to forget and TGC helped them by forgetting them
I hope he gets therapy
HECC they all need help
Hopefully they can be freed from their chains
.makes me me think of Buddhism, I guess. They cannot ascend to the next life since they are too attached to the earthly world or something
but thats makes sense too tho:
lamplighter - daleth
business - ayin
narcissist - samekh
soldier - tsadi
archeologist - lamed
teth - lonely
maybe they elders but not elders but elders are not elders so maybe they are the elders of elders, unless theyre not elders
Or Jacob Marley lol
I FORGED THESE CHAINSSS IN LIFFFFFEEEE
The beckoning ruler pretty fits with Teth personality
Lamplighter is parent-friend and despite being overworked will try to help them. I also hc Sneezing Geographer always falls asleep at chairs so Lamplighter got them one of the neck-pillow-things for long car rides lol
I love those idea but I wonder if he could even move from his spot
He has to like turn on and off the lighthouse every minute
Very short lunch break and also a free few hours when someone else has the shift. Oh and they're addicted to caffine.
