Me neither about lightseekers but from core spirits we have light miners, and in rejecting voyager memory there is a miner. The paintings on the second ramp in Isle show boats carrying light. It’s nebulous how the ancestors gathered light. For we kids, we run candles, but it wasn’t exactly that way for them.

Well they couldn't exactly use the light directly as we can. They harvested light energy to try and replicate the use of it by light creatures.
I mean, it's just like people to covet a power that they weren't given.

And given the fact that elders helped ascend spirits, more likely than not, they had a taste of that power. They had means to use a bit of it.

But then I did read something about light seekers seeking out souls or something akin to grim reapers. So what were they doing? Taking the souls to elders? Or there was something much more nefarious. A plague that claimed too many? Out of the capacity of elders? Or there were always souls that never reached the elders. Why? Was the entire light mining and imitating light creatures so everyone could reach the elders and actually ascend properly? Or was it the very reason that there lay a disparity

I just want to explain for a moment why krill is acceptable while elder names are not, krill WAS the official name for the dark dragons up until very shortly before the games launch, and is still being used by developers in promotional contexts.
The elder concept names were NEVER used outside of those concepts, they never made it past those images and they were never canon

To be honest I never even read the canon doc and the lore chat was super nice and inviting even when I can't remember names.

I agree with that kit, it honestly made discussions less welcoming because of the use of just using the long elder names, it felt like they aren’t something that you are supposed to know anything about, or perhaps it felt like they were just side characters. names like the concept ones help people understand that the elders ARE important to the lore, and it helps others understand that you’re allowed to know stuff about them. I understand the part of calling them what you like, but I personally believe that the names will help include others who are too afraid to talk here because they don’t like using the long terms of their names, such as valley elder, forest elder, etc. it also helps make easier conversations that take less time to type out, as well.

Perhaps it is because a connection between spirits and skykids were needed to ascend spirits, like how the cliche trope of helping ghosts look back on their pasts to accept their fate is. In turn, we learn emotes and expressions from them as well as cosmetics and perhaps it wasn't just mining darkstone that made them get affected with the darkness, it was the inhabitants' disconnection to the light, the Megabird because of the technological advancement with the power diamonds that brought them to their demise

Theorists believe these enormous skeletons belonged to a huge creature having the head of a turtle and the body of a whale that roamed the sky world in it's hay day.
Although some do believe these are actually whale skeletons.
A minor group does think they are krill skeletons but the modern day krills are drastically smaller in size.

This knowledge is purely based on theories and is subject to future change.

Just to add onto the whurtles/whales being a krill theory.
They can hurt skykid upon contact.
This either because they are so big, they can hurt smaller creatures, or it is a left over mechanic where skykid used to lose their light if they hit walls hard enough.

I am not sure as the temple in wasteland opens the doors to vault. The skykid runs right in instead of a social area, they go right to the ground floor and make their way to the top.

That type of transition is not any different for Praire to Forest, as the skykid does a similar action of activating the throne for the elder, where the elder helps the skykid reach the next area.

yes but, i mean like how the other areas typically have clouds you fly through - you don't fly through any clouds to reach vault, you're just there instantly. that doesn't happen with prairie and forest either from what i remember, the only difference though is that forest has a social area

Each area except vault has a social area despite the various ways a skykid reaches the next area.

Dawn to praire, you fly through clouds and Praire's social area is right after walking though a crack in the cliff.
Praire to Forest, you get helped up to the exit by the elder and walk right on to Forest's social area.
Forest to Valley, you fly through a cloud tunnel up to Valley's social area after a short cloud field.
Valley to Wasteland, you leave the temple and then you reach wasteland's area as you fly down the could tunnel to it's social area.
Wasteland to Vault, you leave the temple right into vault and there is no social area.
Vault to Eden, you reach a dark room where you enter Eden's portal, then you reach Eden's social area.

ok so i made up what i call: the light switch theory.

i color coded the light symbols for contrast

so the lights of the ark and the elemental lights dont correspond to the colors

further more, the symbols of the lights dont really match the elements either

maybe the elders switched their places to make sure they were safe

the prairie stayed in its place in the birds nest as the prairie is quite far away from eden, the center of darkness

and the vault stayed as it isnt part of the elements

the wastes’ light of fire went to the forest to keep warmth and help manufacture the power diamonds

and the forests’ light of water went to the valley to maintain the springs of the range that outflow into the forest

the valley’s light (that i talked about previously) went to the isle’s cloud canyons as there were concerns about the proximity to the wastes

I think it was only the Lightseekers and the Enchantment merchants that had a connection. The Lightseekers gather "raw" light which they hand over to the Enchantment people encase them into orbs who create the colored orbs and spells that we see today

I think the Prophecy elements are different things from the Enchantment elements. Enchantment ones being created with the light seeked by lightseekers, and turned into small elemental burst that where meant to aid areas. And prophecy ones being the main, natural, force of nature. Maybe the elements even helped create the elements.

The lore channel is not about finding out what is canon and what isn't. The devs have stated that the details of the story are open ended so that players can see it through many different interpretations and have fun theorizing with others. That should also be the spirit of this channel!

With this in mind, please keep the inside jokes and fanon names to a minimum as they can cause a lot of confusion for newcomers. If you do use them, please be kind and welcoming when someone unfamiliar with them asks about it. If only a small group of players can understand and participate in what is being said at any given time, those inside jokes are best saved for private group DMs rather than a huge public server like ours.

Please try not to overwhelm new people by asking them to first read documents about other theories as well. I don't think Prophecy had any hand in the production or rather, the colored orbs were just based off the elemental lights. The time frame between Prophecy and Enchantment must be waaaay big since Prophecy happened at the dawn of the Sky Kingdom whilst Enchantment was during the fall. The people of Enchantment must've found out about it, in desperation to save the crumbling kingdom to restore the lands and tried to create the same thing though understandably, weaker than its natural elemental counterpart. The red and purple lights were most likely artificial offshoots created by them, I personally think the red light might have signified memories since it was the one that made the ark murals appear while purple light might be power or magic that created the ark shops

I kinda agree, tho I feel the ark lights are actually in the present. The ark lights borrow "power" from the present abundance of element to create the ark space. Also can be used in the whole "all memories are made by Vault" as that would mean the spirits borrow vault power planted elsewhere

Geez I knew isle was different but I didn’t know it was drastically different about 3 different times and was a mountain some of those times. And Daleth was actually still a ferryman. And that pretty room where a skykid or ancestor gives you the cape. and King statue I want old isle new isle hybrid! I have just noticed 2 things going to Eden today,
First, the stone gate in orbit appears to have some of the original gate design on (the different stages of the Megabird, transforming into the king).
The second was that neither the winged light, nor statues in Eden have capes.
It is only when we give the statues the winged light we have collected, they get capes.
I'm sure there is some body/spirit type lore which can be picked out of that.

what i've managed to gather is that I think the rebirth gate was just there because of gameplay and stuff. The elders are described as "shepherding the light" and the stars and stuff, but I think ultimately we were just there to ascend these spirits and the stars (will use stars instead of wl, because the term of wl was just used cuz of gameplay and cape). The lights are obviously spirits because when you relieve a spirit memory it says "tap on yourself to call out to lost lights" or summin like that anyway. I still don't know why the elders didn't shepherd the light probably something to do with the industrial stuff down in sky which messed up the water and the rain and stuff but hey anyway I'm gonna think about it but this is the basic plot imma work with rn

also, I think that the symbol we see on the eden boundary is the symbol of either a skykid or megabird, but imma go with megabird here because I think there's a reason why tgc called this guy a bird and it looks like a skykid. Also we look like birds so yeah, so it coud be a skykid. I think for now we should ditch homespace and stick to aviary because the aviary seems more viable to the sky lore while homespace seems more influenced by player feedback. if you don't know what aviary is check out the yt link i sent which is the original sky: light awaits beta thing back in 2019. Also about the light, it's alsways like "the light will guide you" and "the light awaits" when you leave the game in orbit or something. Ultimately eden is just a connection to megabird and i think this opens up another theory that perhaps we are just a part of megabird (a bit like the holy trinity and stuff like jesus coming down and god up there but how they're father and son but still god and yeah it's confusing go google it). because the game refers it as "your light". So yeah. It also explains why we are able to locate other players (which we have LIT up with our LIGHT (torch but hey stick we me). It would suggest that we are part of a bigger being, but then again this could just be in game and maybe we were meant to be all alone and yeah but still hey this sticks, and it would explain that bird thingy on the eden boundary and the thing in homespace

It seems like crabs that were exposed to darkness (Kabuki cave crabs, Hide and Seek cave crabs, etc) or darkness plants (Sanctuary Sunbather cave crabs, Wasteland crabs, Eden crabs, etc) become aggressive as opposed to the lil guys who were free to run around in open sunny areas like the Sanctuary small island crabs

Today I discovered something intriguing…
A lot of people are under the theory that skykids came after the sprits were wiped out, sent from Megabird to help save it.
But I was reliving the “come here” spirit’s memory, and I discovered this…

It seems like spirits and skykids actually coexisted for a time. How long, I’m not sure.
Also, the cutscene this spirit gives:

But to summarize the spirit’s memory, two spirits are walking around isle and chatting, when one of them notices a falling star nearby. The “come here” spirit rushes towards it, revealing the falling star to be a newly born skykid. They gesture the other spirit towards the skykid.

The cutscene itself is the spirit doing the gesture, the skykid waking up and noticing the two looking down at them.

Remember that there was once a prince, and now a king who turned the land into a literal wasteland with what appears to be extinct animals (now revealed to be a giant turtle)

It doesnt seem like sky is all about growing up and just being reborn beyond orbit, the lore goes far deeper, proven by the cave walls that have changed in isle of dawn

A Manipulator (the prince turned king?) The death of the King at the hands of the wasteland elder. Forest being covered with constant rain and wasteland covered with pipes, sand and oil infested crabs and other creatures, including dragons that snuff out light

Yeah, i think its safe to say things get alot darker as the lore progresses, and it has a lot to do with the cave of prophecies, the forgotten Ark, the spirits, the elders, and of course Eden (the biblical place where problems began/originated)

What are the chances that the King had an army? The reason i say this is because if you look at some of the sections in wasteland, you see spears launched towards the temple where you can find the wasteland elder, meaning that at some point, wasteland elder tried to defend his land, but it became krill infested

And so will the New season of the little prince

Interesting think about Big man GW elder. Hes using a sheild and a weapon from both sides of the ones paired out in the GW fields.

counting in vault's generally weird properties, archive can theoritically exist in different dimensions simultaneously. physical archive couldve been compromised due to the decay and made holes that exposed it to the elements(crabs digging through sand, water spilling out), either this cool theory or the lame 'spirits couldve blew a hole on it and brought crabs for some reason idk'

I am looking up for any place that could give the names of the places of interest in Isle of Dawn.
But the most I got is the starting cave for the first time players, then the boats, spirit location, cave of propecy and the temple. Also the rainbow bridge may as well go on the list for points of interest for the first realm of the game.

Now that you've mentioned it.. Isle seems to use a far more primitive type of technology except the boogie cloud island that uses power diamonds instead of raw flame Even the Prophecy cave uses it

according to a wiki, it is called a floating island but not much else.

Best I can figure that place is, it is vaguely echoes what the island used to look like a long time ago, but it pretty much, literally and figuratively, an obscure piece of terrain for skykids to explore.

What Isle of Dawn does do for players, it introduces them to the game.
There are switches for players to get help with, butterflies that help reach high places, dark plants to burn away, spirits to find and experience their memories ,boats that are prominent transport vessels (which are seen in every realm except vault, though that is indoors, and Eden. Unless I missed a boat :/ ), the temple at the end of each realm and even has very little bit of information from what the seasonal spirits brought (season of gratitude, season of belonging, season of rhythm, season of lightseekers, and season of prohpecy)

Dawn boats (both the old beta ones and current ones) used to work (seen in beta to be working) but no longer work and have rough shapes (primitive designs) and have the diamonds on them.

It is possible the boat you were referring to is in better condition than the others, or likely a newer 'model'.
The boats in sky have different sizes and designs. So they might have different uses like transporting jars, spirit orbs (or light orbs), basic transport and even possibly combat based on the shipwreck in wasteland.

for passengers and cargo, dont think it'd make sense for them to build specialized vehicles for combat either since the only real threat to them are other diamond user factions that militarized its tech, and theres only forest, wasteland, vault and eden thats actively associated with it

Another thing to add to your ships being modern theory, which I like.
The ships may also vary in design from primitive to more advanced designs.
The pointing spirit for example, showed a ship with no wings but they do look like a winged ship in prairie from the waving spirit's scene.
That and even if the boats can fly, they can go on water like the one to the forgotten ark skykids can ride and the ones seen in the saluting spirits' scenes.

the way they're operated aswell could be referenced to how we operate the boats, one example is the boat that takes u to ark, it needs u to meditate for it to work rather than lighting a diamond cell like in dream village, implying that these were operated using the mind, to me atleast

I can't get around how the forgotten ark and the shipwreck in wasteland were built to allow passengers inside its 'hull.' and how they are massive.
Maybe the creators of those ships are either a different group of ancestor than the ones who just transported jars. So the ships are not necessarily from the same creators, so basically made to serve the one purpose of the ancestors who used them.

The ancestors were able to steer them or 'program' them in some way to fly certain routes on their own while those riding them would tend to pots or just get to places.
The ancestors in vault knew telekinesis! So it is not out of the question whether they could manipulate the power of the daimonds.

theres also the geological difference, and ofc when theres industrial movement, theres a supply chain that takes raw materials to the last chain systematically, maybe they found that traversing the sea was more efficient than going through the sky, which is valid considering theres lots of risk like turbulence and weather that can easily shake off a heavy-cargo flying vehicle

There are also other influences to the game. Thoigh that is just my headcannon.

Peterpan (children that fly while escaping the perils of growing up), Undertale (the amount of meta knowledge players share in the game), Journey (I know the devs say their older games are not linked to sky, but I can't help but notice the overlap) and The little prince too.

What else makes me think the game is leaning more to the little prince is how, recently, the skykid gets a prompt to laugh in Orbit.
Which is pretty much like they are laughing amongst the stars!

There is a prompt that appears above your head, at any moment from when you arrive in orbit till after you gather your ascended candle stars (I have not yet found the exact moment).

The emote is a level 3 laugh emote you can tap. The skykid is metaphorically laughing with the stars, just like in the little prince, he is laughing among the stars too.

There is not certain rule why, TGC always mentioned the "free to interpretation". My idea is Eden (like the Paradise lost) was once the pinnacle of the Sky Kingdom. After there were once Hebrew names for the Elders during development , simple placeholders

Im not super experienced with the story but this was my take. Be gentle if I’m wrong.
Iirc, what we call eden is never referred to as Eden. It’s the eye of eden. “The eye of eden” is very reminiscent of the term “eye of the storm”. This is compounded by the stormy nature of Eden and it’s previous name (Storm). That makes me think that eden isn’t just Eden, but the absolute center of Eden. I personally believe that we are in Eden throughout the game, but what we call Eden is the very center.

This makes sense. Obviously sky has a self sacrificial nature to it,with sky kids going to the eye of eden and dying over and over. I took it as the WL being lost, scattered souls of children who died, and we’re tasked with saving them. We go into the world, explore and collect these lost souls. Sure, many of us get side tracked, but it’s our lives, and sooner than later, we march solemnly to the eye of eden, prepared to give our lives for the souls we’ve carried. Then we die, flying with those souls into orbit. We are reborn, satisfied and ready to do it all over again.

That’s just my take though
