If moths are bots that run on light it’d explain why they become statues once their light runs out
Why are they hollow?
Do you mean the moths
I dunno they just have a single organ inside them
I theorize it’s a multi purpose organ
or a power storage
Nice
🇲 🇪 2️⃣
i lurk in lore chat until I find something interesting to talk about
I believe the spirits of daylight prairie lived inside the cave ravine
or maybe the sanctuary island entrance as it seems to be a broken city
lots of ruins

Explains this
also what’s this
unseen super elder in charge of a lot of things including guiding the sky children
inside every realm
helps sky children with transportation
unseen in eden’s elder mural
wears a mask, mostly seen on important characters
I feel like it being made of rocks has a significant meaning
it’s mask is the most plain and could blend in with the rock sky children
I mean, that rock is like uhhhhh ur checkpoint thing
yes it is
but the checkpoint is of a masked character
maybe that’s the unseen elder
Perhaps the sky child you play as is a reincarnation of the unseen elder
Eden Elder? Megabirb?
obviously it’s impossible because there’s more than one player and it’s a multiplayer game but I’m pretty sure talking with your friends isnt canon either
eden is missing an elder and I theorize the elders once lived on the mountain temple
Are you a lore moff
I dunno lore is fun
Do you know about the Megabird?
so here’s what I think
eden elder is in charge of others
darkness invades the eden temple, other elders escape
eden elder doesn’t escape, becomes rock
just like how we reincarnate after eden, the elder may have reincarnated into another sky child
friends in game are probably not canon seeing as sky is mostly a chatless game, meaning they may just as well be npcs (even though they’re not)
you play as the eden elder’s reincarnation
I’ve heard of it

“Once, there was Megabird
Once, there was Megabird, who’s wings touched everything and nothing, such is the way of light.
Once, there were stones, who’s fingers clawed and tore, such is the way of dark.
Once, there were Ancestors, once gods powered by the dark, now pleading for aid from the light.
Once, there was a King, once embraced in wings of light, now shrouded in turbulent red rain and stones.
Once, there was an Ark, a ship of technological glory, reduced to a stormy prison fit for a king.
Once, there were Elder Creatures, the benevolent protectors, rewarded with corruption for their sacrifice.
Once, there was Megabird, dismayed at the plight of the world and seeking to reconnect the souls.
Today, there are the Children, light seekers and bringers, moths and veterans, who carry Megabird’s mission in reconnecting souls.
Tomorrow, there is light, migrating triumphantly through the dark and into the wings of Megabird.”
But more importantly, have you heard of the King?
Yes
He’s cool, isn’t he
Oh wow
Haven’t researched much about it though
You should research about him some time
my theories are mostly just calculated predictions and connecting random pieces seemingly unrelated
I’ll do that in my free time
Do you want pics of him?
Sure
Yes
The mountain in the concept art looks very similar to the king
Is the statue actually the king or is it just a statue
oooooo
this island in the distance is quite sus
It’s right behind eden’s gate
it looks slightly like golden wasteland to me
If it is gw, then where is the rest of the entire sky world?...
I always thought it was isle because its upfront and we can't see the rest because its behind it
(Also they couldn't put the whole realm in home space just for aesthetic reasons lol)
Someone glitched there, it showed the old intro mural
Its where the old intro mural is shown
step 1: claim a land and make a city out of it made of gold, triumph and completely powered by Darkstone to protect the Vault of Knowledge
step 2: wait for darkness to arrive and attack
step 3: fight off darkness with the King and win
step 4: celebrate by building a bigger city
||step 5: have an obsession towards darkness and let go of Megabird's control, become corrupted and lose your light. all of the kingdoms finally fall one by one||
Ah yes, the #1 guide to ruining a kingdom
Somewhere the area of the manta-summoning bells is called the village (even tho, to me, it doesn't look like one) while the area to Sanctuary is officially called the birdnest, infact somewhre of those broken towers tou can see a tiny door on the bottom
I've felt the same sense of disappointment about the forest last area which is sometimes called villages
But I'm glad now because we had the village of dreams
that doesn’t look like a village to me
I kind of see it as if it's Lame-d Vault Elder, even if it's missing the headdress (that sort of periodic table)
Once someone shared their idea about those flames statues as scholars of Vault
the village of dreams is just so cozy
what'd i miss
especially the hot springs
just villages
Tho I remember reika (one of the devs) once posted a comment explaining there was the concept of some kind of suburbs/slums under the Citadel (and Dreams doesn't seems to fit that description, so I kind of wish to see it one day, maybe I dream of it to be even an underwater area, like under the icerink)
once again thinking about
what was under all of the sands of time :sqwarlockDed:
the Dagger Of Time
sunken cities
Ooh, wait let me reshare the pic I made out of Pakka screenshots 💡
Original screeens of Pakka
oh no, its him again
i can see him
where is this
isle screenshots from sky beta
he really is everywhere/approving
Same, how can there be only 3 houses?
This is precious!
Never seeen this from the videos of LA, but you have indeed the highlighted
on your chest
one happens to be a worship ground and another is completely empty
Yeah, the only reason I find is that maybe the rest is under the clouds (btw at least in some LA videos there were more buildings there)

at this point im just waiting for some more lore reveal
maybe a lore season in the future?
perhaps
Like burned tempura 🍤
for now what we have is more slice of life, what spirits did or tried to do before the fall
What’s LA?
I personally really want a season about sky’s industrial revolution
Wrong thing
Light Awaits
Oh tysm
darkstone-punk cosmetics and puzzle maps
my theories tell me that it started from Forest where they discovered Darkstone, and they produced more and more of it until the King grew an obsession with it and soon got corrupted by it
It was the original subtitle of the game Sky LA, before becoming Sky CoTL
darkstone is used to absorb light to maybe activate a certain thing, so maybe the diamond of Eden was just too much darkstone to the point it absorbed light from every kingdom
another one of my theories say that with the King's obsession of Darkstone he finally stops worshipping and lets go of the Megabird's control and so does the Megabird stops protecting him from darkness.
thus with his obsession growing more stronger to the point where he thought making a big diamond that would absorb all light from every kingdom (i have no idea why he did this) would be a cool idea, he instead failed miserably and destroyed all of the kingdoms, starting with the Eye of Eden
yep, theres my theory
so the diamond of eden is just a strong source of darkstone that absorbs too much light as they intended to make it
Do you know the concept art that shows citadel sort of buildings and calls them upper class and then land race sort of buildings and calls them working class? I think the land race is what the dev was referring to.
Oh yeah there was a slum like area in the sliding race
It's a catapult that flings players into the air
Thankyou!!
YEET
I was looking forward there will be a lore season in vault
No harm to the little prince just
I love sky world more…
I'm a little bit disappointed...just a little
Just 🤏
We’ve already had our 1 lore season, time for 3 more Sanctuary ripoffs
Nope not yet
Bingo
Darn I was gotta change my name to the seasons name looks like I gotta wait for a few days 🙏
Few weeks
Alr
That was a spirit of the warrior it was available long time ago
Looks kind of like a human
from the first comment I use in this reply reika started talking about Citadel and slums, but here is the full quote
i can spill some beans on what i was thinking when i made the citadel though
it doesn't have much to do with the actual sky lore itself but--
in my mind, the mountain is kind of like a dormant volcano
or made in abyss if anyone else is also a fan
and the whole tower actually goes all the way down
it's a bit dark, but what you see above the clouds is actually just the tip and its where all the riches live
and the areas under the clouds where the lights dont reach
mainly the inner walls
are kind of like the slum
although there isn't any meshes to show that because its an expensive level HAHA
but yes
its outwardly pretty and extravagant
but it's also supposed to be hiding the slums too
since valley is the peak of civilization
there's also a side to it thats also not pretty
and the tip of the tower that you see
is like the top of the top
so scholars
since technology and knowledge is so valued
and the scholars that reside there uses the the armillary sphere to study the night sky!
@distant turtle plus here is the picture you were refering

WHERE WAS THAAAT AND WHY IS IT GONE?!
Was not in the one big popular LA video
Wow confirmation the King had arms.
how can a king point at innocent civilians without arms
Just didn't read that there are slums inside the valley buildings, i thought they were really bad at architecture designs ;-;
That was the staircase that led you to to the Isle Temple
Back in old, old pre-launch Sky the areas were really small, so there were transitions everywhere lol
This was just when you opened the temple door, and when they merged the two areas I guess there was no need for it anymore and we just enter the temple right away
Oi
My question is why in some places (like the citadel) Eden's mountain is completely absent??
I literally think Eden's mountain moves in Valley it's placement relative to the snowy crab show is constantly changing
Hey, mirian is it possible that you can pin the tara's sky beta memories playlist here.
devs left it out for views probably or maybe it wasn't necessary because it'll be mostly hidden by surroundings
That's valid, but like
In the ice rink part of the map, when you first emerge from the clouds after Forest, you see Eden's mountain in front of you. HOWEVER, during the entire time you go through Forest, you would think Eden would be to your right. Maybe it's a 2 o'clock relativity but it is not 11 like it is there. In both Valley races Eden is in it's proper placement relative to every other kingdom, but ice rink (and citadel, in which it's just not visible) messes that all up by putting it somewhere for the sake of aesthetic
Maybe not lore related, but it's something that's been bothering us
I would need Tara's permission for that. If they post it here (or contact us in #contact-the-mods if they'd like us to post it on their behalf) I can pin it if it's a good resource of old beta for the community! This is our guidelines for most pinned stuff regarding community creations
Oh, okie thanks
Yes, the positions seem off at some places. It's not visible in sanctuary too that could be explained by clouds but when you are at the waterfall island in clouds you can clearly see that it's not there but then again why would they add eden or maybe a small model of bird's nest (since it's also not visible) if everything just looks fine from most angles.
That's fair
Citadel seems a little odd though
Ah yes yes I've seen another lore vid on yt and came here once again to seek answers.
The one lore vid I found on youtube just kinda analyzed the into with not much accuracy. I think a lot more better once have come out since then though. Theres no way to know about Megabird or Prince without having the bonus intel. maybe when the artbook comes out that will change
I don’t have the actual in game picture though hold on
Did google search, there are some pics that shows its the ending scene of credits just before landing on the island (getting reborn), I thought that thing was just a group of constellations :O
Hi
It could still very well be a group of constellation. Thats also like orbit, and the souls combined or god or something. Who knows.
Wha- there are also class hierarchy in sky :00000
In valley, prolly yep.
Interesting part of dreams is that it was a bunch of retired mentors (dancer, guard, craftsman, skater I assume)
Waaaaaaaah
Is there anyone to play with?
I think theres a looking for group channel, dunno if it has just chilling out and playing together groups though.
O.o
Does it have to do with the
butterflies inside the jars :pSquint: :pThink:
Emote fail
Why did my comment get deleted?
Its the jump after the small part with the lamp
Must be the birthplace of evil
maybe eden spoilers or something
I think there’s krills in that area
Supports the theory of krills being dark creatures
no idea
Oh that place
Oh, i figured it out, i know now why it got deleted
I said s h and l with a dot above the l
Not the t, but i guess it was close enough
But yeah, that flipping jump was the bane of my existence as a moth
I passed through my second eden run without a lot of troubles
not like I held my friend’s hand for 70% of the run or anything
Aye
Now i know to do pne flap and move up onto the ledge
What's the lore for today
That one jump in eden after the door before the first winged light, before any krill. In the first area right after the small lamp
well what if
moths are robots who feed on solar energy and the creatures made then based off real life moths in order for them to be attracted to light
What about it
Their only organ is a glowing jelly bean
Either it’s a multi purpose organ or an energy storage
They don’t bleed and their skin looks like rocks
How it's the birthplace of evil and the cause of all that is unholy
dying in eden is essentially you losing your winged light, which makes you into a statue
Once robots lose their energy, they become stationary
Also what if there is no birthplace darkness
it’s everywhere where darkness is
I don’t see krills performing interdimensional travel to the golden wasteland
That jump isnt the birthplace of darkness. Darkness isnt pure evil, that mother🦆ing jump is!
What’s the topic?
The theory about them being an amalgamation of dead sky children

I mean that’s not what we’re talking about but
e it doesn’t really look like arms and legs of moths
Oki cool
we are also talking about that one jump in eden in the first area right after the small lamp
amoeba thinks it’s pure evil and the birthplace of the antichrist or something
Well the jump is pure evil
Yes the jump is evil
The wind's to strong, u can do one flap and get to the ledge next to it tho
But who realizes that when they're a moth?!
I dunno, when you lose too much WL and don’t want to lose any more so you sit there for a minute thinking about solutions
my natural instinct is just to fly whenever there’s a ledge
you’d go ↗️↗️↗️
There's a special way to fly in eden sure but i mean for a moth
I’m in multiplayer for eden so if I fly off I just tp back
Doing that has led me to lose more than 1 wl in area 1
Anyways the trial of fire
That thing seems like the birthplace of evil if you ask me
Just jump in the middle
Those furry leech things look like baby krills
Maybe they are
Their eyes are mini spotlights
And then like a tadpole losing its tail, their eyes merge and crap
Does the isle elder with two sticks realy seem evil to you??????
i mean
probably not
They are not baby krills
They’re called dark worms
I mean shadows
And also if you think moths are robots we should be robots too you can just say skids skids are also moths
I mean yeah
we control the robots
we don’t look like most of the spirits and we’re the only ones to clean up darkness
Either that or we’re janitors payed in candles

Dark worms as in
??
Oh I just read up for context
Yeah those are called shadows, I suppose
Really creepy :(
The deep bow emote was originally bowing to a Scholar which made more sense
Source: https://youtu.be/cf9swApco0A
I sit in dread knowing at some point im gonna fill with curiosity and watch every single playthrough video
Sky is an among us reference because there’s clouds /j
true
Hmmmm so, the prince get the four powers and send them to four spirits made they became elders, but isle and vault elders don't have any special powers
Is isle elder the Ferryman?
Yes isel elder is the ferryman in the concepts
you thought that golden boi was the Prince? Interesting? I thought it was simply a representation of the prophecized master of four elements, which has not come yet.
"what do I do with this?" ||💛||
Found ya
Isn't this prince's headwear?
Its for spoiling things but you dont need to spoil thing in channels that has the word spoilers at the end like this channel
I was hiding sugar hearts around the server
Why
👍
If so then in light awaits the kid give us souls and wing is the prince too?
That is one of the princes headwear
If isle elder is the ferryman what about vault elders? Why seems he didn't get any power? Is him special as ferryman too?
Can it be the prince's identity certificate?
I just said the isle elder is the ferryman in the concepts its not canon anymore vault elder is prolly a keeper not a ferryman
okay but somehow i get the feeling that Sky starting to follow Le Petit Prince. i will list the reasons here later (note that these already can be find in Live, so no beta context here)
:0
- after the update, we become statue after we finally losing all of our WLs in eden. This actually imply that all the statues in eden are actually former Skykids. In the original book, the Little Prince want to go back to his own planet from the Earth. For that he need to be bitten by a poisonous snake (basically he have to die and leaving his physical body to reach his planet since its too far away and his body is too heavy). This actually match our skykid condition when they die in Eden. Our body become statue and our soul ascend to the orbit, leaving the world behind to our real 'home', among the stars.
omg !!!!!
- When we reach the orbit, ofc we will meet those we managed to save in Eden. They will bid us farewell and then leave ACs for us to collect. After we collect the ACs we got an option to do laugh emote. Some people might find this as very random and assume its a bug, but i think it isnt.
As expected, this might actually reffering to the LPP book. One time, before he went to his planet, Little Prince give The Aviator a present for his kindness : his laughter. LPP also said that he will reside in a star so small that he cant pinpoint it from the earth.
“In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at
the sky at night…you – only you – will have stars that can laugh!”
anyway yeah i could only give those two connections lol
there is actually third theory, the reason why orbit is filled with water. but tbh im not really sure either
i thought the reason orbits filled with water is because it’s like a womb
thats possible too! orbit does looks like a womb, filled with water like amniotic fluid
I do a typical candle run and saw this. Do you guys think that 6 chair is the realm elder?
oooh wait if orbit is indeed a star, does that mean skykid are birthed from a star? Japanese name for Sky CoTL can roughly be translated as 'Children of The Star'
might be, since those chairs are too high for even the Ancestors
i thought orbit was like the womb of the megabird galaxy? and stars are in galaxies-
And why there's a fliped chair?
they leave in hurry?
Is that isle elder?
maybe they were doing that thing where you lean back and fell over
- galaxies produce stars. megabird galaxy = the light, and we are the children of the light
in credit cutscene, it is like we zoomed out from a star... so instead of megabirb galaxy womb, maybe we are indeed got rebirthed by a star
still it is just a speculation lol
it is like skykids are actually fragments of the stars, instead of a whole star
if a whole star actually fell to sky kingdom then there will be no sky kingdom
It was fragments since on the orbit cutscene the wing light child became a star after you skykid wave them
yea
Anyway, you say they leave in hurry that the chair fliped. But why on one of them fliped
we don’t really have any way of knowing
tbh im not sure lol, one could only speculate when they didnt actually witness the thing directly
And it's very similar there's a Group of People (elders) and isle leave the group make the eden door only 5 people
It's very very similar situation
maybe one of them leave in hurry, maybe the chair fell when eden goes yeet
itd be kinda weird if only that chair fell when eden went yeet
I think the isle is angry for something and flip the chair and says I am quit
the shock from the yeet of eden could probably knock the table over though
Or Prairie elder got flipped back because he is too big and playful(so he do that 2 chair leg stand trick and fell over...
)
Everyone laughing nonstop

But i love Da Scout theory...
Some of us still think that Isle Elder cant accept others decision... On what? I dont remember... Maybe about Eden Diamond...
I thought there were 8 chairs... Turns out it was only six?
I suppose that's possibly Isle Elder
Never thought about them prophets becoming the elders... that's an interesting theory, even tho I don't know how much could fit
eenteresting...
Oooh, so the facepalm was an old emote that finally came back

I’m so sorry innocent one- grabs canon doc /j /lh
Yeah! I remember fidning out there was an old facepalm emote in the past, but was removed cause it was thought it may be used in a rude way to other players at the time. I guess they're being lenient now. After all, there's the grumpy and stomping emote, which can be used in the same manner, but they weren't.
Well anything can be used in a wrong way
Just a theory i created:
A long time ago, the spirits used to sent supplies to Forest Elder. Why? Because she was the one who built the forest with her own hands, so the spirits helped her in this job
Sadly, when the spirits disappeared, she needed help to fix an important thing, yes, she could find by herself, but it was hard to find that kind of thing there, specially because of the rain
So it's when you appear, with your flame, everything that she needed. The reason she used the flame? The "thing" needed light to full activate, without it, it's useless even fixing it.
One thing I can say is that maybe the situation of "with the stars united our light was infinite" happened both times, before the old "before land" fell and then before our sky kingdom fell. It can be interpreted as a history repeats itself situation. But really it seems more like they streamlined the story to always be set in sky kingdom and omit any mention of a "before" time
Ive revised my timeline to have the elders fall first, if they fall to begin with. And assume one or all of them made a “mistake”. Like fallen angels. But with them still keeping watch over rebirth cycle and the ancestors still going to orbit until Kings actions caused them to fall too.
I like the idea of the new Isle intros being from the perspective of ancestor spirits who themselves had visions of the old intro. And the old cutscene intro was from the perspective of Megabird.
I say Megabird because of the 3rd person perspective "the fallen stars" plus 1st person perspective "I call to you"
I have the feeling current intro is from spirits because “as spirits we became many” and “we lived in harmony”. Wasn’t there an old version of old intro that strait up said “I cast them away”? That would be 100% proof its Mega.
A rumor I read is that in Chinese, the old intro does not translate to our English language intro.
Yeah! Like the chinese one is completely different lore! And has the King actually die and the Prince being his son instead of one becoming the other and saying elders can have kids which is odd. And the Japanese one is where I keep bringing up “the spirit that made the mistake”
Whyyy?!!
Not even there, it's from Chinese server. It may cause confusion
I get the idea that "as spirits we became many" is an hint that they could somewhat keep a tie to the physical world (like staying near their relatives, like the ancient romans worshipped their ancestors to protect them), maybe even in a way that they could not completely ascend yet to The Light (or Megabird)
So when the civilization (the ones still alive) died suddenly for a catastrophe they fell too, forgotten and covered by then darkness
In old beta videos I see that the spirits tombstones are all the times covered in darkness from which you need to free them or you need to lit the candles to summon them (summon like we do when we go to a realm social area and they appear) but point is that the darkness or the fact of the tombstones being forgotten and neglected cut their spiritual connections
That actually kinda ties into the way the Elders work too. Only alright with showing up in orbit after all their people are completely happy.
Now there isn't anymore that much cases where the darkness plants cover the spirits, but if you ever have to finish the daily mission "burn 10 darkness" and go relive a spirit's memories you will realize that by burning the sphere around their chest at start point grant you 1/10 of those, meaning that somewhat the darkness cover them (even if not in the shape of big plants)
:
I figured the darkness crust was caused by eden boom. Its whats stopping them from heading on up to orbit. Like a layer of ashes.
Interesting, it could be. And I like even your definition "darkness crust"
I was thinking about it recently.
Candles are less a currency and more a resource. We don't collect wax, we collect light, the essence of it. Sure, the light appears as a candle, but it isn't like we have hundreds of candles stored within our chests. The thing we're spending is light energy.
When you first start playing the game and collect enough wax to form a candle, the game doesn't call it a candle like it does in later moments of progression (i.e. the 'forge a candle' quest). It calls the candle a light tribute. It's like processing the light you've collected from the scattered candles in the world and equating the light's worth to a single candle (or more), if that makes any sense at all.
All of this is to explain why we're able to buy things from spirit shops. We aren't giving the spirits physical candles, we're gifting them light. Light that they use to ascend to Orbit. It's a power source, one that the spirits have been begging for and prophecizing about up until our arrival. Why the spirits are able to gift you physical cosmetics and spells in return is beyond me, and why we're able to gift that resource to each other without obtaining the light ourselves is confusing in itself, but I just randomly had this epiphany and had to share. If this was something obvious I apologize for being dense LMAO
Not sure why I haven't thought that sooner, but:
Why was Season of Dreams called dreamS (with the plural) it's mainly just about the dream of the skater girl, right?
The only other things that might resemble a dream seems about the Yeti, he was so shy, elusive and on his own, he doesn't even try to encounter Valley's spirits
So in a way his dream could be to open up and in the end, the final cutscene he join the skater and the other seasonals in the village square/rink
Programmable light?
It could also be the dreams of the villagers to get skater girl to the big show?
I think it's plural because it's less about the singular dream of the girl and more about all of our dreams as people. We are the focus of the season. The girl is just an example.
When you first start playing the game and collect enough wax to form a candle, the game doesn't call it a candle like it does in later moments of progression (i.e. the 'forge a candle' quest). It calls the candle a light tribute.
Interesting, I never was this much careful during my moth days
You can have several dreams about the same goal
I like thinking “mmm tasty candle
“
There were glitches at some point a few months ago that had the game telling you to forge a light tribute when you got enough wax despite being an experienced player. I also have recordings of my first experiencea with the game back in 2020
Really, never noticed that in my language
I still get a little annoyed I can’t go to prairie shrine anymore without being forced to summon butterflies and get launched.

A bit back there was answers givin about Yeti
Open the emote menu and you'll be free to move around as long as it's open
Why he has axes
Apparently they are, not for violence. The pots and axes and aspect of retired mentors causes myself to believe hes a retired craftsman. He just made the axes. For making axes.
Maybe he used to chop down trees in forest 👀
Also how in the world do they make hollow trees
are sky trees already hollow inside. Any theories?
I think we gift them light as a sign of appreciation and caring, after all, as I said before while talking about the beta parallel, they are forgotten spirits and with our arrival and care about their lives and their neglected tombstones , we help them living on in our heart
The rest may be just a matter of game mechanics, but the moral core is caring, I guess
We can learn from them and a piece of them lives on in us, with their simple customs (manners and gestures) or with their style and garment
really? when I get stuck I always simply try to hold my skykid to charge a honk, but never release it (at least in Isle, during the 1st WL cutscene worked for me, not sure if it still works)
The isle one shouldn't pull you in now
i haven't tried it
With the new storyline i think they changed forced cutscenes too, so only new players will see it
Since before the last quest there was not a fallen tree trunk (the one now in the share your area decoration) while now its mostly fallen and just a shell, I guess those trees could even die for some reason till they get empty
But maybe there could be carved into emptying them, at least the long tunnels around the deep bow spirits looks artificial, clean cut
Ahh yess i was going to say it isn't hollow
Oh wait
No not that
I was going to say that in the deep bow's memories the tree isn't hollow
When it falls
So, the trees must've been hollowed artificially
Prolly that one was never carved, maybe Eden blew up right after
Or maybe the insides decompose while the outer hard shell remains
Mmm, yeah.. it could be, but then again, there are alot of broken trees which aren't hollow (at least if you reach their summits, we don't know their insides)
Hold up, hollow trees exist irl
Thought it was cause the rain corrodes the insides but I don’t actually know
many trees transfer nutrients between their bark and trunk, not inside of their trunk!
This might comes as surprise, but many living trees are actually somewhat dead on the inside. This might just be an outcome of fungal infection. But a hollow core might well suit the tree. As trees grow and develop, the wood at the centre of the trunk, which would once have supported a sapling, becomes structurally less important and therefore most likely not have been defended from a fungal infection
also, I have new evidence to show that the darkness helps to keep the light from dispersing.
With assembly we learned an emotionally positive influence can change the actual terrain to add light to it.
new evidence to show that the darkness helps to keep things from breaking apart*
I think destruction of light creates darkness and destruction of darkness creates light. Which is why we burn plants and krills just like to beat us up.
along with the 3 clean statues in eden that shatter when you normally aproach them, I have found more evidence for the darkness helping to hold things together
our winged lights
or more specifically when they shoot out of us
we see drops of darkness appear
like in this meme I made:
Still about the Spirits of Dreams, what is your chronological order of their memories.
To me it seems first arrived the musician (idk his name) show inspired the dance to the skater girl which then asked the Spinning Mentor.
While the Yeti and Shy Postman raise a little question: the Yeti is elusive but then open his affection after saving the skater, but when you see it in Postman's memories, he waves cheerfully to Skater and Postman who were stalking the mysterious stranger

a wl came flying out of me and so did the darkness bubbles
the bond holding both the light and darkness broke causing both to fly outward
the darkness helps to hold things together
like the statues of spirits and those in eden
the clean 3 in eden shatter when you approach them (some ways of approaching them dont make them tho, probably missing a switch-like peice of code that breaks them)
I can see how it crust things over. Like spirits not being able to get out. Soul stuck in orb jail.
we cant save the statues that crumble, nor the ones with crystals i guess
also, the darkness helps us to hold onto winged lights
like, the darkness may caused them to need to be saved, but the darkness dust may have made it so they could be saved
Aah even if it was a bug I can't belive that sanctuary cave murals is not true
So um anyone wanna see my theory on how krills were possibly killed? I feel like theres a few holes in this theory but its been a really long time since i last been on sky so idk 🤠💧
Let's see it
"How 2 Kill Krills 🤠":
We as sky children cannot exactly defeat krills, but, assuming that krills were used as a bio-weapon in war within Wasteland, I have came up with a way they have been possibly killed.
When a krill spots a live source of light, they come straight to the creature to attack it. If you have been krilled before and then collected all fallen stars, you will notice there was maybe one or two stars that were not retrievable at all. Where did those stars go? I think they went into the krill. Basically what I'm trying to say here is that even darkness creatures need light to live. So, krills and crabs take light from light creatures to live.
(“Dark creatures and dark plants will try to take light from you” (note: confirmation dark plants take light) - Launch Livestream)
The krills' body seems to be only darkness except for the eye, which I believe the krill eye is actually made of light, so then it can spot other light creatures, and THAT in itself gives the krill a weakness.
In the wasteland cutscene, the wasteland elder has a spear. But, he also didnt have any power till you give the elder your light and charge his spear. My idea is that spirits threw light charged spears at the krill as the krill was coming at them, destroying the only light in the krill, making it become a lifeless clump of darkness.
P.S.: Sorry for the amount of explanations before the actual cool kill krill bit ಥ‿ಥ
Omg
So let's read
But I think we can take all our light wfter krill attack
I mean I think I did it before
Yes im listening for advice and critique continue
Yeah so this theory was old so i wanted to rewrite it but like maybe i shoulda got krilled myself before i tried again 🤠💧
For me I think light power was and still everything, wasteland elder spear work with light, so it's the basic for all weapons too, maybe if skykids were stronger they could fight krills with weapons but they are kinda weak to fight krills and kill them
Yes, and now that i think of it, in both forest AND valley scenes they needed light in order to perform what ever talent/work they had.
Which just proves both points you made
literally most of things and tools need light like sky boats and doors... So it's the basic power on sky
Maaaan Forest should be taking advantage of the whole light + more light = animal process
Surely the process of light coming together to form a living, breathing creature takes a lot of energy. That could be USED FOR STUFF.
THINK, FOREST MAMA.
After the forest elder cutscene, we can see that the mantas are released. I think we somehow convinced the elder to not create power diamonds anymore, cuz i heard that u need mantas in order to create power diamonds
the energy would be going to make the creature, not coming out of the creature being made
Her pin makes it sound like she feels pretty guilty. I can imagine Prairie feeling bad about the mantas he could potentially have bred being farmed like that and Valley twins angry to keep their purebreds racing mantas, if supply got too low.
I think manta, butterflies, whale and other light creatures is one of light sources...they are the basic of alot of things, they carry us to prairie and vault and other things
Yeah true, i don't think forest elder was the only one who did that to the manta... I mean the manta home was prairie, but they bring them to forest to make diamond maybe, it was misused rather than utilization
Wasteland seemed pretty diamond happy too.
The whole thing is a lot more morbidly hilarious when you realize the cool door openers all those diamonds where used for had more reliable prexisting fire-based counterparts, as seen with some doors in isle like the ones leading to prophecy.
I kind of think they still used some form of darkness to help hold the fire in place
Form of darkness?
from what I've noticed, darkness helps to hold things in place or holds them together. Like the spirit statues and our winged lights
so some form of darkness may have been used to hold the flames in place on those doors
I don't think it's darkness... You know something like metal and wood exist in sky world, like the flames that we got from assembly spirits, the doors have a similar system
Good point. What do you mean by the flames we got from assembly spirits though?
hi I came in here to share a thought I had, and it also seems kinda relevant to the conversation about light power
are skykids plants because they’re powered by light which means they photosynthesize which kinda makes them plants since they’re not technically sentient beings either
I like thinkin the light is in the inside. And they way they express in the cutscenes. Well, I think they sentient anywho. But the taking light in for power. That is ultra plant like. Aw.
They seem pretty sentient to me though, considering how they clearly exhibit social behaviour by emoting at one another and responding to spirits
Some of the emotes we have in this server may also suggest they’re capable of eating, not just photosynthesising >_>

Anyone has a clear picture of that concept art about all realms that's in office?
I remember seeing it somewhere here i cant find it tho
By AquaJohnny
There's clearer and individual images of them in the pins, they're scattered through the links though
You guys ive just discovered that every floor of the vault corresponds to the 6 realms in sky HAHA, even the music correlates to them!
Sand on the first floor, which is isle
Structures similar to prarie in 2nd
A tree sprouting that represents the forest in 3rd
More structures that looks the same as the valley ones at 4th
And a big floating bone in 5th floor that looks like bones in graveyard
Because of the mantas in the 4th floor i was like "what does mantas have to do with Valley" but im just dumb to realise the mantas aren't part of the archives lol
Even if its not I just thought its cuz Valley had a lot of mantas that flew with you through the races and thats it
Ah yes, that's connected to this canon lore hint
« “I wanted to make Vault kinda like a dream or memory and the memory is not like things in the real world and the memory is not isolated from the real world. The world in other levels. And you can kind of see connection between that and that.” Atlas talks about the manta shout as an example “and they [the mantas] also gives you a hint about that." then Robert says “So the mystery remains” (hage note: here Robert may be referring to the question about the elevator) »
Vault floor is the spiral mantas and the summit with the shrines is Eden floor since it's similar to the one in Eden ascension map
I was right about looking at the cosmic mantas and calling them memory mantas
In a way i guess im not actually right lmao
Another trial headcanon: The patience taught in water trial is not just "the patience to wait for the water to go down so you can pass", but also "the patience to stick with the trials and get used to the unusual way they work"
yk the first time i ever did trials i thought that all of the wisdoms should’ve been patience
thats why trial of water is the first lol
All the trials are trials of patience if you're impatient enough
I just gave up. It's not patience but lack of effort in my case.
complete trials!
What for?
a winged light
I'll live without 4 thanks.
me who just ran all four for some shiny currency:
Well for people who need those 4 for their cape wedges goal, completing trials is essential for them. Could be their first time reaching 10 wedges or 11 wedges.
And also there are cakes. Many many delicious cakes 🤤
Before Daily light system barely anyone touched the cave lmao poor Prophecy QG
Anyways, lore
Yeah lmao. I just ran Eden again for the goal.
I would just go to air trial ,water trial and earth since theyre easy and air trial is my fav
Also seems like slowmode will be gone soon
hopefully
Hi everyone, I have a question about the Nintendo pack coming up this June. Will the pack always stay in the IAP for Nintendo Switch device or it will only be there for a short time?
If it stays there for a short time (as an event), will it come back next year?
Thank you for your answer 🙏
i think this question might be more suitable for #questions-and-help
sorry
Wrong place to ask that question... (Maybe ask in Beta cause I'm not sure if thats in Live yet)
oh
Where can I find good information on the lore? im interested and wanna learn about it
I mean the flame which from marching adventurer spirit

remember that these are only concepts and there isn’t much of an emphasis on what’s canon and what’s not so have fun
Thats a lot i think you can only give him the lore moff doc so he can know who the king is and megabird i think it depends on the person if they will read the doc i didnt even read the theory vault it has too many words i guess you can ask the person if he/she wants to read the other docs
This doesn't works anymore, it must have been patched out
My corpse plant theory will remain canon in my mind
that seems quite interesting theory. I also think there could be other ways to kill a krill. At least when they are still infants
At the shipwreck there are some "shards" that to me recalls the shape of krill, impaled into the wood of the ship (also noticed how some cracks on the ship wood have a kind of zigzag which remind me of those shards. With the little infos we have my idea is:
Krills once were even small, sort of like those shards, and since small krills didn't have the same destructive power as an adult krill, they used their zigzag tail to slash the ship and even fought in hoards (probably the smaller the krill the lower their levitation powers too, or at least that's how I explain the presence of the barricades in the battlefield). The king turret on the ship wasn't probably enough to fend off all the small krills, but its laser probably was enough to cut some tails
Why we see no small krill? Probably because the krills we see now (hungry and furious when they spot a prey) are the strongest of them and survived by eating more light than the smaller ones (thus why GW is barren of almost any kind of life) and in need even following the instinct of "the big fish eating the small fish" (thus also explaining why they seems very territorial and not minding the paths of the same size krills)
I think that theory of the mantas to create power diamonds doesn't fit the atmosphere of the game now, but I see where that come from, there were concept arts about that. I only think I don't see them fully implemented in today's version of the game
It still does, its just that you have to completely burn the ball before the game registers you as getting that part of the spirit memory/starting the spirit memory. If you fail this, the ball just shrinks. The same applies to the darkness plants spawned by the memories of the slumbering shipwright and the tearful light miner. Both the balls and these plants give wax, but the wax from the spirit balls now doesnt count as wax in your candle meter (if the meter is on screen it will expand like when you collect normal wax but it won't have the glowey bar rising or make the meter appear when the meter isnt on screen) and the wax only appears in either of these if you finish burning them, once they shrink away you can't burn them and get the wax. The wax from the plants in the memories count as actual wax tho.
OOH, this seems very interesting
Can you explain more about the 2nd floor with Prairie, please?
So, maybe I didn't burn them properly
I don't really know how to make sure that your gonna be successful btw
Today I tried with a butterflies caretaker (and probably was used by somelse in the same server before me), so I will try with others next time there will be the mission (if I recall it
)
it can get very annoying with one of the leaves from the slumbering shipwright for me.
WAAITWHAT?
Uhhh
How convenient that it's even shaped like a 7

Reposted, this time as a screenshot, you can zoom the pic without problem of transparency
Aurebesh: the fictional alphabet from the StarWars universe...
Notice any similarity?
huh, who's that, @hushed steeple?
Beep boop imma just ramble random crumbs i got while someone uber me through Vault today lol
For some reason I randomly thought "what if those lantern things that powers the diamond projector are like slides? Each lantern is like a chapter of events that happened in each realm." But I have no idea what im trying to prove since if i remember correctly the 3rd floor has the most lantern thingies rather than the rest of the other floors.
The small bone in the 4th floor, Valley floor right-
Maybe it represents a manta or rather someone died due to athletic injury. Idk this one is random.
And the shrine, the one that looks the same as in Eden. Applying the thing about Vault is much like a dream amd isn't real I guess its just everything in one. A small part of each realm put together in Vault. We have from Isle and to Wasteland in the floors amd Eden at the very end. The shrine.
Im starting to feel like Vault is out of order like its not in order with the other realms since Eden is part of it before we even go there
Or maybe its just your quick revisit through all the realms before you step into Eden
I totally forgot about the cutscenes
Yah, but the concept elders names are based in hebrew letters, right?
Yesh
HELLO LORE CHAT
also why is slowmode still on
Definitely not me. so where can i find theory doc of lore chat speaking of? First time here

😳
:0
How spirits that we b u r n in memories look without the crusts on them 👀
It prolly means we freed them and were just reliving their memory
Does The Elders Have Names Like Isle Of Dawn And The Others-
pretty sure that statue doesnt have the dust on it because of the spirit being in front of it. The spirit's semitransparence seems to also obstruct certain things like the dark dust. Its still on the statue the spirit is just covering it up
they used too, in the concepts they had names based on the hebrew alphabet like Resh, Daleth, Aleph, and more
huh, who's that, @orchid jolt?
Ooh Ok
It does sort of match the exterior
Anyone wonder if the Elders were mere citizens of the old realm from the beginning of the old intro, and then fell to make a new home in the clouds, where the spirits were the new citizens born in the sky kingdom?
ooooh
And the reason the new intro has the same language is because the spirits heard the Elders tell of the downfall of their realm. Now, the spirits' realm has fallen. So they echo the same way of telling about the downfall (united our light was infinite, then darkness came and the stars fell)
As previously stated, the spirits obstruct the dark dust for some reason making the statues appear clean, heres a photo showing this:
i dont think its lore related, just wanted to clarify with your comment on the dust free statue picture
probably just something in code
Old realm full of giant monochrome people. BUT HOLD UP. That sounds like a good excuse to keep concept art elders
as Paul sky said, maybe same effects category
I still don't think its a good idea to have an elder try to seduce sky kids
Im very happy that idea was cut. I think current Forest Elder could beat up Concept Forest Elder.
But the design was pretty cool and is easily a completely different person
GEEZ NO
should i delete that?
Maybe. Dunno.
and by kincy stuff, i just meant what the sky kids would be into
Is that why shes staring down a teddy bear?
(there would be probably be a meme of the steven universe song about wanting to see a giant woman but with a moth's head over steven lol)
wait, theres a teddy bear?
ok, maybe old forest elder would've been better. I mean we would get teddy bears!
Imagine if that's rock sculpture of a teddy bear
thank you for honoring my meme
Maybe its a trap. Like. Lure with cute teddy.
it looks like the elder is the one being lured lol
She looks so done with it
i do definitely love the concept art of all of the elders standing bravely or in some normal manner and then theres just forest elder going "YOO HOO!!"
WHEEEeeeze I CAN SEE IT
it is interesting that they kept the mask of concept forest elder in game
And it was AFTER Tet-hhhh Forest’s design was final too
and didnt prairie once have that weird thing thats above the mega bird symbol at the entrance of the prairie temple as a mask?
No mask
i definitly see the mask
sometimes the individual blue glows of the mask's eyes combine at a good enough distance
oh
welp nvm
but yeah, is that the same story with the prairie mask?
Prairies is kinda interesting. It actually looks.....slimmer? Than his concept mask
?
It kinda looks like Isle’s
can you pull up images?
Mmmm yeah holdup
I know that prairie at one point had the mask thing on the temple as their mask but this looks more like the spider mask from prophecy
I don’t have one for the actual temple
I still think its supposed to be Prarie. Just. Its slimmer.
prairie just casually wanting to be drawn like one of your french girls in the bottom left
Hes a fantastic model what you talkin bout?
but i swear i remember seeing an image that actually looked like prairie was wearing the mask thingy on the temple, it was as similar as the forest elder's old mask and the forest temple's mask
it is possible i imagined it tho
Im sure it exist. I remember vaguely, variations on that whale/skull like mask. One of them is prolly slimmer
but this also shows us that in prairie, there was darkstone but still respect for mega bird
but yeah, i vaguely remember that golden thing being prairie's mask in some concept art
i don't see how the masks you showed me look like that
but different people notice different things i guess
I headcanon darkstone was forbidden from OVERUSE. But still sparingly and very rarely ok.
i headcannon that (shoot whats my headcanon again?)
The ones I have are only from the 7 days of sky post. Im sure. SURE. That mask is on a prarie elder somewhere
oh right, the whole balance of both light and dark. Cant use too much/to little of either
I just also kinda think it looks a little like one of Isle’s
Im starting to think the killing of dark creates light and the killing of light, dark. Which is why we burn plants to release light and krills just like to make us suffer.
oh wait, you mean the one isle is wearing here
yah, but darkness definitly seems to allow the spirit statues to not shatter
as evidenced by the 5 in eden
Its different. Isle has no, uh. What would those be called? Rungs? Lines? Chin, flabber?
welp, bye bye
sorry if someone already mentioned this, but i think it's really amusing how aviary was in the shape of a menorah with the gateways kind of resembling chet (or more accurately "he") and whatnot - i know sky cotl is a lot of things at once and that stuff like the old hebrew names were scrapped, but the more i poke at old development stuff the more judaic influence i see and it makes me kind of happy
this is what he looks like btw, screenshotted the whole table as to avoid a huge image
i'm very sure it wasn't intentional because there's only so many ways you can have a gateway look like without it resembling "he" (or more precisely, i think it's "he" that resembles a gateway, i'm rusty) but jewish brain says "cast judaism beam on everything you like"
... i'm realizing i circled the wrong thing due to my lack of sleep and what i meant was "chet", chet lacks the gap and looks properly like a gateway... but i could've sworn i've seen some gateway-like structures in sky with that same cut piece so it all works out fine, riiiight
i'm totally not a little embarrassed oops
It does kinda! Hum! Also every door/window has a candle/pot like shape. Little gap in the top. I was looking at the alphabet symbolism earlier. Some of them seem random but others, well. Others seemed somewhat matched to the characters.
yes! also chet in gematria represents the number eight and aviary used to look a bit like a menorah, which typically has eight candles (technically nine if you include the leader candle, i forget the technical name but it's the one you use to light the other candles)
if i'm being honest, usually i snub hanukkah references in media because they tend to be really lazy (and hanukkah itself is not the jewish holiday, it only gets as much spotlight as it does due to its proximity to christmas) but if sky had a hanukkah event or something like that, it's the one time i'd consider it appropriate because it ties into the whole theme
oh, this makes me think i want to suggest a kippah cosmetic in the suggestions channel, i'll go do that ~
O! How does it tie into the theming! I want to hear that!
the actual story behind hanukkah doesn't really tie into sky cotl (a really tidy summary is that "people tried getting rid of judaism, judaism survived in spite of it, and now we have a special day to laugh at them" - many holidays observed by us jewish people unfortunately have such a story behind them) but i was mostly thinking about the fact that you light the candles of the menorah to keep away darkness
Ah, the candles are everywhere too.
yes! and we as players resemble moths a little bit to the point where we're drawn by flame, so it'd make a lot of sense to me if the developers implemented more hanukkah-y stuff
oh, another thing related to hebrew: it fascinates me that daleth and resh (meaning the letters) resemble each other - carrying the concept names into modern sky, i like to think that daleth (isle elder) specifically cared for alef before he became coronated as resh and that parenting left some small impact on him
@neon jay who dat?
Resembled each other? The characters or the actual letters?
the letters, sorry for the confusion!
I saw alef was notable for being the first letter. I thought there could be a tie with him being the first skykid or somethin like that also.
sorry, never heard of them, @hushed steeple
i did post the image of all the hebrew letters earlier, but the primary difference between the two is that daleth is a little more curved - like an old person who's gradually become hunched over - while resh has more of a straighter "spine"
@neon jay who?
Oh! I see them. The kinda 7 looking one and the smoother 7 looking one. Ah! Also that resh is like impurity or something? Is that right?
sorry, never heard of them, @hushed steeple
yep! resh represents evil/impurity ^^
oh, i'm actually googling and the difference between daleth and resh is that daleth has a yud, which symbolizes a righteous and knowledgable person that adheres to god.... but resh lacks that, and so the intellect and speech capabilities present in resh is moreso for their own self-satisfaction.
man, it's a huge shame all of this symbolism got scrapped.
wait, who are we talking about, @neon jay?
what i mean by "yud" is the way it squiggles off also, it's right under the top stroke to the right
It actually kinda has little context things. That the corrupted letter is the corrupted character. Woah. But also like the valley twins letter meant being closed off and secretive. Thats not a great match. Vault though, supposedly being scholarly and studying. If thats true it seems exact match.
AH wait! the absence of yud also means a denial of the ultimate day of judgement, like how the megabird gradually morphs into the king in the concept art for the portals! all of this old scrapped lore stuff makes so much sense!
Morph into? Do you remember which one that was? The one for portals?
OH.
you can see the megabird motif at the top slowly become more geometric, and then fully become the king!
it's so cool!!!
Ah I see
Like how over time the megabird was lost and the king took place?
yes!
We lost so much mega and king stuff
the ultimate day of judgement is a one-time thing in judaism while the trip to the megabird is done multiple times and assumedly is unending as long as the megabird is there, but i feel like it's still thematically appropriate to apply the symbolism of reish (i wonder if spelling it like this trips skybot...) to the king and the megabird
sky: children of the light is pretty multicultural, so i can understand why they dropped so much of the heavy-handed jewish references to prevent people from just seeing it one way (or at least that's my theory), but oh my goddddddd it's so cool. it's just so cool.
ahhh honestly i don't know if there's any sort of replacement for this besides judaism but i would love for this reference to come back some how, i just love symbolism
The character of the letters being built in to the characters of the elders, the gate symbolism, the concept that the further realms are representative of evolutions of the society as it aged.
I wonder if the unfitting letters for them where due to the character changes. Forest, valley, I know they both had drastically different versions too.
ah yeah, add "ayin" to the list of names that don't really fit anymore - it represents something like transcending mortal constraints to serve god, but i don't think collecting butterflies for juicing is particularly beneficial to the megabird unless i'm missing something
If hes against the juicing because he likes the animals, maybe. But it takes a lot of squinting.
it's funny that you mention squinting because the hebrew letter "ayin" also represents eyes
Wheeze. Maybe not a perfect fit. Unless theres a “giant teddy bear of a man” letter.
Its 12pm here so im going to bed. But I liked hearing all these correlations. Thanks for chatting!
sleep well, i'm actually about to go to bed soon myself!
Hello first time speaking here. I have a personal headcanon(?)/fan theory about the Valley Elders I wanna share..
go ahead!
Sorry if I seem a little nervous, I've been told people here can get a little crazy- Feel free to disagree with my opinion but I like to think that the Valley Elder is just one 'soul' split into two bodies

Please don't krill me
oh that’s a pretty common theory
considering that they each have one eye and what looks like a prosthetic arm
i’ve heard that the arm thingy might’ve been a texture problem but that’s still a cool headcanon
I dunno man I think they both got stabbed at the same time in the same place /j
twins who are fab together get stabbed together? i dunno
that was horrifically corny, but yeah i do like the idea that they're the same person in a sense
i've joked with a friend that the valley elder is just one person switching places really fast
they really did just get a 2-second haircut every time the camera pans
why does marching adventurer have an eyepatch
moment
prolly because they got hurt than put an eyepatch on.
I kind of want to see the Hide&Seek spirit back as a giant woman...
As she once was, but then during the SoDreams I noticed a skater-girl like figure during the ascension flight, only discover she was replaced...
I would have liked better the Shy Prospector spirit to be a little girl, after all she is shy with the guy carring the umbrella but then, I think, she steal that guy's umbrella as a prank to get his attention

Plus, imagine how cute the drums would look on her, probably even obtain the same effect the drums do on chibis while running (sort of looking like cat hears
)
silly childhood crushes i guess
but i really like the blushing prospector as of now, they were my favourite as a moth despite not understanding the memory
Yeah, it's kind of a silly wish, it will never become true
My fellow Lore Scholars, have you heard of our :
Lord & Saviour 7
?
||Check the comment I replied ||
guys what if the elders are the bad guys
like. according to the concept art, cooler colors are supposed to represent the darkness because they are in contrast to warmer colors(which represent the flame/megabird i think) And guess what color the elders are? Nearly every part of the elders is greyish or cold blue.
In addition...
the prophecy cave murals probably portray the prince as the glowing kid with a "halo". And, you know, maybe this glowing kid who fell from the heavens and was virtuous enough to pass the four prophecy trials might actually have been a good guy!
ur theory. i love it so much
aw thanks
Well, we also become dark when we lose our light or have our mask off
But still since the lore is kept to be a vague as possible, yes, it could be. Even if not my cup of tea
i like that take on our elders
it backs the opening sequence that says "if only they listened"
yes
who is king
the best character in sky ever
I think it was also stated they are supposed to be cold and monochromatic so that fellow players can be the bright colorful thing that light ups the world. I think the Elders made a few-a, ok a lot of mistakes. But are not intentionally evil. except corrupted king who got redeemed last second
Prince/King is the cut/hidden Elder of Eden. He is theorized to be, the fallen child in isle, the victor of the murals, the glowy you at the end of eden, possibly the source of all skykids, and also the downfall of the kingdom, and the final mural shown in Vault cutscene. Basically. The entire lore is about him and hes not even physically in the game.
O o what's going on
everyday i wake up and thank tgc for bringing him into existence 🙏
Such a classic mystery character
interesting.
i also wonder why isnt there an elder in eden
According to the secret lore “Eden elder isn’t around to be saved anymore” and “Does not exist like how the other elders do”
why is there his statues in gw
Hes a bit of a narcissist. Maybe.
what do the memes “you are not immune to propaganda” means, theres a pic of king in it
im not a lore kid but this guy’s interesting
Its a joke. But due to the statues everywhere its a theory that King was very good at swaying public opinion, or, at least made a solid attempt of it. Thus “propaganda” which involves controlling opinion of the masses as well.
well i mean yeah theres so many statues of him
Not just statues too! Hes in the gates in forest! In the little totem things in isle and Prarie! Hes on top of the eden gate! HES EVEN THE LIGHT CALL SIGNAL
And prophecy pendant
k i n g
my beloved
propaganda man
Welcome to King fanclub. Population: the entirety of lore chat.
OH HELLO EVERYONE
so tell me more about keeng
So spirits are already long-dead, and lived in Orbit?
but are now tethered to the kingdom they once lived in or
I’m trying to interpret this in a way that makes sense but there’s nothing on how they died
they just...are
fun fact
I guess
despite the quest asking specifically for dark crabs,
the non aggressive dust free varient work as well for the quest
so this was a dying civilisation already?
The new intro is very confusing, I don't like it
worships the stars, and as they dwindled uh
all I want is for this to not completely collapse my spirit beliefs, it happened with krill
yis
i like the idea that the darkness has always been a thing. there was just an overuse of it
there’s this line that i kept seeing that says something like “they should’ve listened” what’s that
if this is saying spirits aren’t dead then everything collapses
THIS IDEA INCLUDES DARK CREATURES BEING A THING
"If only they had listened..." The best part was taken out
YES THAT GIVES SO MUCH
It's gone
whats that
Part of the old intro
this keeps it too vague I don’t like it
you can’t just take out crucial things
like the krill are in the ark murals and the prophecy murals
give me the old intro
please tell me spirits are dead
yes
If the spirits aren't dead then why are they called spirits and are translucent
they are dead
technically
Elders are alive
well yeah the elders, not the spirits
they’re seen by GRAVES
what is "dead"? is it having no body? No awareness? Whether or not the spirits are dead likely depends on your definition of death
death means body stop working imo
I keep forgetting there's graves in sky
so true so true
we’re reliving their memories that have ended
king kinda looking like a shuriken
I really love the spirits, to have everything we believe about them gone would be really upsetting
for all we know, the graves in sky could be something else entirely
a way to summon others
this could be evidenced by how we can summon oreo
oreo isnt dead irl lmao
Oreo is an actual dog
ye I theorise the graves are summoning points in a sense, as is the Home constellation pedestal and the ones at the Elder temples
this doesnt mean the spirits are alive, we could be summoning their stars as we do with the elders in orbit. summoning them back to the land of the living to say hello. The summoning could work with both dead and alive beings
they kinda coexist in multiple planes to me? but can travel between but only after being relived
I don’t even know if spirits died anymore. Or how prince fell when stars fell after the kingdom was founded.
Current theory is Elders made a mistake and fell first, and spirits either never lived or death means almost nothing to them.
how sentient are spirits
not very it seems but enough to be aware of their surroundings and interact with us to an extent
They are strait up characters we see interact with each other. And wave to us. And it says “befriend them before they leave” or something. But that might just be my bias for thinking making friends with the people of the past as the current people is ULTRA CUTE.
Assembly QG is a weird case
are these purely real-time or reenactments of their lives
I’m willing to say both
Assembly QG is proof they can touch living stuff without phasing through it. But the waving and befriending I like to think is the present day spirit.
spirits cannot pass through things but are intangible to everything else?
Also “as spirits we soon became many” might assume they can just continue living normal life as spirits.
good point
I have not even seen a spirit pass through a single thing until they zip up when they pass on.
it doesn’t make sense to me that they’d be
exactly the same
But. Also I don’t have them all memorized.
Well the Eden boom might have just made them dormant. Unable to pass on. Trapped soul that was a soul to begin with?
But also theres gravestones so.
it creates many oxymorons hhh
the spirits have collision with items
Also I think being spirits could have been part of their culture, of filling up with light and dropping it off at the megabird
Thus “ancestors shepherd the light”
OH WAIT! THE ITEMS SUPPORT THE THEORY OF EACH SKY KID BEING ALONE IN ONE UNIVERSE BUT EXISTING IN EACH OTHER'S UNIVERSES THUS ABLE TO INTERACT AND HELP EACH OTHER!
Like you do except without being smashed to pieces by falling shrapnel
THE COLLISION ONLY EXISTS FOR THE PLAYERS THAT PUT THE ITEM DOWN
EXCEPT FOR TABLES WHEN YOU SIT DOWN ON THEM! YOUR UNIVERSE NEEDS THE COLLISION SO YOU DON'T FALL ON YOUR BUT IN YOUR OWN UNIVERSE AND THUS CREATES THE MULTIVERSE CREATES THE COLLISION TO PROTECT REALITY FROM IMPLODING OR WHATEVER
ok im done. Time to photosynthesize like the Paulinella chromatophora I am
Elders are out of space and time. I beieve they are actuay dead
the collision added from sitting at someone elses table also starts affecting the spirits in your universe
sky kids, like elders, don't exactly exist in time and space.
Im reminded of the one theory that says shared spaces are like a skykid’s Elder space.
oo
we skykids are elders woo
Well, we arent exactly elders
but, like a questgiver of a season, we are closer to being an elder than most spirits
of course, we are closer than the questgivers
like as evidenced by the concept photo:
like the elders, we help spirits get to orbit
and yes, i know this is concept art
not exactly canon
I think we are an elder spilt into teeny tiny pieces. That happen to be as big as the elder was before.
The new storyline actually tells that elders send spirits to the stars
Itty bitty on both sides
Reminds me of the "we are king's broken parts" theory
Yeah thats pretty much what Im goin for.
the prince is sort of an elder but not exactly, just like us. also they are the same size as us
I think Elders are not supposed to rebirth. They are supposed to keep watch over the rebirth cycle. But one did.
:V maybe prince was the first skid
thats a common theory
Maybe they don't need rebirth because they are already god like
oh
maybe they help megabird in the actual cycle
like how in concepts, creatures evolve through rebirth
so the elders would be fully evolved already
The thing im confused about is how elders sent spirits when we see one has fallen in isle
Where they always on land? Did they fall?
How did they send spirits to the stars if they where not in sky kingdom to begin with? Do they have some way to access both from both sides?
They used to usher them to stars before darkness came so i guess elders were physically there untill darkness came
But then did they fall by that point? Or did they just willingly come down to send spirits?
Now we are the ones freeing spirits and sending them to elders to send them to stars.
asking the real questions
maybe they were always there
amma ask one too: why are crabs shaped like reese cups
Idk if the new storyline mentions the first fall
They look like stools to me
Fun fact: despite the quest asking specifically for dark crabs,
the non aggressive dust free varient work as well for the quest
idk, maybe im hungry
welp if that does then wat is even real anymore
Maybe their heart are dark
no.
i refuse to believe uncorrupted crabs doesnt exist
Enchanted edible pots
OR maybe the reason it specifically asks for dark crabs is because the crabs are naturally dark in color but not in nature
dark crabs help uninfected crabs up and uninfected crabs help darkcrabs up btw
so the right term to ask for is whether to knock over uncorrupted crabs or corrupted crabs
elders and we are completey different speices I think (not sure tho)
not completely but partially
we are a subspecies to plainly explain it
dev quote from a lore doc i dont have a link for
not the exact words i said tho
I think we are like the next version. 2.0. A compilation of all that came before.
“Not the same and not different”
there are previous versions of sky kids
oh ye that makes sense
at least 3 other kinds
skids 1.0 and such
4 if you count the prince
I would think the previous version consisted of 1
.
there are 2 statues in eden of sky kids covered in crystals
O. After eden update Im believing all skid statues are statued skids.
3 statues of sky kids that are clean of anything, they shatter when you approach them. They come right after the crystal statues
wat
Near the entrance at the last krill area i think
63 statues of the ones that likely came right before us. the ones we can save
Wait wat
some may call it the exit
and then us
63 statues to save, maybe we are the last one to ease my soul of an odd number
personally i think we save ourselves
and from that message to this one:
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
(other messages regarding that convo are in between the two)
You know what, I'll just copy the message to a friend where I shared all of the links from the conversation
Hi guys... I came with a new theory about wasteland I'm gonna write it now hehe
Just like a lot of theory and facts say... There are a disaster or maybe war happened and destroyed wasteland... But what wasteland was like before the disaster?
I think it was a huge country connect all the realms with vault... This country (wasteland) had a buildings from each realm... Each realm built something as a sign of it... And that's what mean finding a building look like forest temple, and other one look like valley and have a symbol that we can find it in valley (broken temple), so yeah...the big country (wasteland) was very impressive, and a place deserve being the link between vault and other realms...
But when this disaster came...everything was destroyed... Nothing left but the monuments
We can find at the place between valley and wasteland somethings like houses... Maybe they lived there and wasteland had a houses like that but they had damaged or destroyed completely
So what do you think guys?

What a dead lore chat
Hey @trim belfry, did you get enough sneep snorp today?
Theres actually a thing I saw recently that I forgot
About?
About wasteland before the storm
Tom’s work. I just think its cool the exact question is in top left
I would be down for more civilian areas like you said too.

I wish I could know the true about how wasteland was really looking like in the past
Hey guys today happened something really weird. Wanted to light a stranger but...
Bug? Hacker?
I'm not sure
What if we have a season show us the true story about wasteland?

Maybe it's a bug
Or maybe it's eden elder
Im all in for the idea the nasty realms where once super futuristic
I have a question for all your lore kids, who is the narrator voice in the beggining in the isle of dawn?
its thought to be megabird, the prince, the elders, or even the spirits themselves
It used to be Megabird “I cast them away” now it sounds like its a spirit “as spirits we soon became many”
they said "I cast them away"? When was this?
That was from the intro in beta. However, the part "But darkness blinds, so i cast them away" was actually placeholder text, so no significance there. :')
oh
I made a theory about that in my moth times But I can’t remember the theory lol
I'm just new here, but i wanted to share how this is like a game adaptation of the anime Re:zero...
You have to die repeatedly to save everyone
Heyo does anyone knows the prices for rainbow days?
Uh no if you save every statue in the storm you don’t have to go back
Also go to #seasons-events-chat
Wait can someone link me the message?
I really feel like Resh made elders what they are. I mean he does trials gets his cape goascent and when he is crowned king he puts them to rule the other realms
@proud fable who dat?
Also, sorry for ping
The singing voice? Or did they add something new to isle cutscene?
is dusk valley or wasteland?
it does look like wasteland so
i could say dusk is both
but anyway
i like that wasteland had been on water but the storm leveled the water and sunk things
it would explain the many collapsed bridges and tall stone structures surrounding the first area
maybe the first area acted like the docks?
you'd arrive to the big machine temple via boat
Isle = Dawn
Prairie = Day
Forest = Rain
Valley = Sunset
Wasteland = Dusk
Vault = Night
Eden = Storm
Pretty much this clip describes how we get introduced to lore and discovered The King

Ooh I forgot this existed so uhhhh
Main focus:
Is Rallying Thrillseeker finally coming out as Gay 🤨🤨🤨
Maybe maybe not 🤨‼️
Does that mean all spirits have sexualities
POSSIBLY 👁️👁️
Would that also mean since they have sexualities
SOME OF THEM WOULD BE IN LOVE IN SOME WAY-
I feel like we should leave these to the shippers
🎶EVERYBODY LOVES SOME BODY SOMETIMES~🎶
The shippers and the headcannonists would freak out once they saw RT being the Days of Rainbow guide
I think it was said somewhere that just because two spirits have the same cosmetics doesn't make them the same spirit, but I choose to ignore that in the spirit of gay Thrillseeker
All hail the Gay Thrillseeker the Gay icon of Sky

Thrillseeker is now rallying for gay rights
Yes 🏳️🌈
SO TRUE 💥💥
Well i ship green guy with sneak stance girl

And i think events arent part of lore
But still
Rallying Thrillseeker IS still gonna be the Days of Rainbow Guide and not any other random spirit which leaves us thinking
yayyeyaydysydhs yes
"I want you all to interpret their identity in a way that is most meaningful to you."
It is very meaningful to me that Thrillseeker was chosen to be pride ambassador
Guys I want more clarifications about that picture
Why is the king has an opened mouth like a muppet
why is he holding the world
There's been a few interpretation regarding that which... i can't remember
I think at some point someone mentioned that it might be the eden diamond
Or the manta ball before orbit map
Is he eatin… a darkness plant :000000
either the king get turned into a portable castle or he is the castle idk
Hi Flos !
hi ali
He been in a bad diet and now he wicked cuz he constipated
Everytime I see you, all I remember are dark times
bruh where his clothes drip go
finally someone who could remember me properly
He in the castle’s toilet
How can I not remember you after Isle and Prairie elder
Cuz it was the time to
Flosh I remember you with every cell in my brain
wait which one i forgot loll
How dare you forget the boogie mishap
i legit forgot
So that’s why the red rocks

from the beeg diamond
what are you imply there-
All about that pic, then wonder if king is eating a darkness plant and then been constipated cuz of that bad diet 🤌
And so that’s why king ain’t able to do a doodoo
nah I think the darkness was like tacobell
or haribo free sugar gummy bear candy
Bruh what about ||red rocks from pnr ??||
Does this support my Sky is Just a Big Kitchen theory
no need to spoiler tag here lol
Oh no. Is that ||hemorrhoids||
oh no
Exactly
Okay lets actually get serious
At least it was a funny yet awkward theory
Good lesson to remember : don’t eat expired products or you will end up like king
Ok imma head out
Hey guys
Im looking for a art from the beta before the game release
Mind if i check awhile?:SpiritYeti:

Everything is in pins
So some time ago I asked why certain WL have red wings. It's not lighting. It always these wl that are red(and a couple more I forgot) so if anyone got any clue.. lmk
I don’t think that the King is eating that thing
He’s just holding it, it seems
Hmmmm, does it only show in Daylight Prairie since all go these kinda look like they're from Prarie
And btw do the elders have Actual names other than random Letters from the Hebrew alphabet (no offense)
And also, the Eden castle represents the King (the top of the castle seems to be his crown).
That’s why he is “in it” (?)
Or is he eatin fortune dragon balls
they do not have actual names, no
I don’t know, I guess that he’s just holding that ball :00
Wat, I guess that they do-
Would be awkward if he actually eat it
I like this!
Looka him his mouth is opened like Kermit the frog
Ooh I thought they did and to be honest the names that people usually use is (no offense again) pretty lame
Maybe it’s just aesthetic (his mouth)
Haha It's still lighting!
I know but it would be funny if it really happened
Also, that ball doesn’t seems to be “darkness” or “light”
And King got corrupted by dark stones, not by eating stuffs (Imo)
Definitely
And I guess that he became a King by passing the trials (?)
I saw the big pillars you can see from outside the Eden castle from the inside today and it was so nice
The king is obviously the ruler of the krills but did they make them?? And if they did how did the King do it
I wish I understood Vault cutscene
So uh no not all of them are in daylight prairie there are others I just don't remember them lmao
Ahhhhhh oki
The most sus cutscene tbh
Mmm IDK maybe GWL was about defending King against krills
But they lost
*Protect the darkstones

plz idk why i got notif
