When you ascend to eden, you bring back something that the spirits need to "bring our lost stars home"

The term "home" may define the lost spirits'/stars' home as much as it could be referring to our world, so we may be asked to send them back where they belong - their home - or ours

If you've observed eden carefully, you can deduce that it's mainly built out of remains of what likely once was an industrial-ish city. Same goes for golden wasteland. This is based on the fact that there are very large tubes in both places.

This may be ThatGameCompany's attempt at expressing the dark demise that we will one day meet if we continue to put money above our planet. The result of industrial pollution. Of climate change. Of plastic pollution.

putting aside the lore behind it a lot of people are divided on whether the middle spirit (lone scout) is going to be the quest giver or if they're going to be the main spirit we have to help like the skater girl

so if the lone scout does turn out to be like the skater girl the maybe they could be like the king yeah

but it's very unlikely imo

that the 6 spirits are the baby elders

they're just related to the 6 realms,,, so maybe they're like apprentices?

The place u see them at (the temples) isn't actually where they physically reside in. Its just a place that was important to them which is why i think their actual "gravestones" are the tombs we see at ascension but the mental meditation let's us see them in their important place/time

prairie is like then discovering that they can use magic so they start using it. Its still the beginning stages where they found the use of it. The spirit in the cave is like the opposite of the ancestor in the sanctuary islands. They found out about the magic power the life gives and different uses for it. They start dividing, the spirit in the cave wants to contain the magic butterfly and the spirit in the sanctuary chooses to let them free. You can see in the prairie elder cut-scene in prairie they chose to imprison and use the magic as the elder contains it in a pot

In the constellation icon its diamond shield (in vault constellation its also diamond shield). But in GW temple its sun shield

Forest is like where they start abusing the magic power given to them as said in the last, prairie elder cut-scene decided to contain the magic. They started to gather the magic in large amounts, you can see the cutting down trees and mining . Notice some platforms that looks like like the light mushrooms but they don't give off light, prolly bcs they taking the energy out of it. I speculate because they were destroying their environment like that the damaging rain started. also i think the ships in the beginning of forest are the pots that contains the butterflies. I think that the krill is the polluted version of the whale, big guess but like it sorta makes sense, the whale bones prolly bcs the ancestors polluted and killed it and so that's why krills attack us

I don't have much on valley but i think its when the separation shows more between like the ancestors that believe they shouldn't be taking all magic energy and the ones that think they should make use out of it. Like the both sides getting competitive.
Wasteland is when everything break out into mess, probably war wink wink
First its attack of krill as you see the building being destroy in the dropping down spirit ducking from building and probably hiding from krills. Then they start fighting the krills in the 4 krill map and they probably got rid of some krills bcs of the bones (omg roasted creb)

In the last map you can see there are fallen shields and stuff but you don't see the krills, weird, huh? So like you can see that there are 2 types of shield so the ancestors prolly began fighting each other, and when you reach the end and activates the temple the krills comes in prolly signaling the end of the war everyone poofed and the krill can live and swim here,

Vault prolly just the aftermath survivors recording down the history, each level resembling each realm, each stage they went through that lead to their fall

Does anyone have any theory on why Krills or found ONLY in wasteland and not the other realms? The world of sky is dead empty and there are no inhabitants. Then why don't the krill just fly up and take over valley and Prairie?

Here’s a cool thing I noticed, every temple entrance after prairie has a giant door. Also after prairie, we start to see darkness creatures and the effects of the power diamond production.

It's mostly all there, with winged light kids in your path instead of ghosts, and the boat area instead of a factory entrance. Forest was way confusing the very first time.

I think that the grass is always greener on the other side, and if this was reversed I’d be more interested in the current forest play through lol

Also I just realized that the seasonal spirit quests/memories are just the quest giver telling our skykid a story about their friends/jogging their memory to do so and that seems so sweet

Really tho, the ending of the dream quest made me kinda sad
Because really, you just can't see how truly dead the place is without seeing how truly alive it used to be. And they made the transition hit like a truck
