Prince and the King kind of exists, but we leave that up to you to interpret their roles in the lore
the king plays an active role in the story of sky but maybe not in the way you may think
he's not there in the same way as the elders you see in the cutscenes
he is an important figure in the current lore of sky
he's just not there the same way as the spirits you see in the individual realms are

I theorize that Gw And forest had war. I realized at first, that there are symbols that are the forest's symbols. Symbols that can be seen in forest. Its obvious they are on different sides because the logo on tsadi's sheild is eden's symbol but that's a different discussion. I have more proof
I looked at the layout of gw, and this is just a tiny thing, but, the areas of the first krill area and the area before the temple, have walls. Like a fortress. I believe that the first krill area was forest's fortress. And the last bit was gw's Fortress. 1st, bc in first krill area there are forest like buildings. 2nd, gw's temple is right outside the other walled area
Also, the spirits.
The spirit 
Used a horn. I felt like they where a spy, or just sent out a signal for war.
Also the saluting spirit I felt was a soilder, because.... Well the salute.
The rest of the spirits in gw can be tied to war.
"Sneaky survivor" could be a spy trying to get to forest's fortess, or could simply be dogding the krills to get to the Fortress as well.
I haven't looked into it that much yet, but I can tie it to other theories that can be a bit of a stretch but is possible.

But my reasoning was that the darkness on the outside absorbs light (just like how darkness sludge in gw does this) and it keeps it in the light core to be used as power
