hey @hushed steeple do you know anything about this prophecy everyone keeps taking about?
I have a feeling
One of the mods is jus messing with us at the moment
What if Eden was gated the way it was because it was an attempt to limit the affects of what the elders needed to do to survive? Kind of like setting up a terradome to farm plants in
I believe the prophecy is about a second coming
But it adds up doesn't it?
Does that mean the air trial hinted that the elders betrayed them or something like that? They were blinded by the power from the trial?
The second coming of the child of light
The first child of light is the king then?
How many bots would a skybot bot if a skybot could bot bots?
Or prince
@kindred oar who knows. One thing for sure there was a CoL before skid
I believe skid is the 2nd CoL
I have a question why the sky is beautiful here?
Oh I thought the narrator in the intro was Megan, since it says "I call to you now. Bring our lost stars home."
Is it purposely like that?
@hushed steeple i believe that is season of Rhythm leftover
Ahh
Good picture btw.
The part when they take off with the manta?
Also thanks
I'm such a screenshot connoisseur
I also think the prophecy is about CoL but I'm still not sure if it's about us or the very first CoL
I’ve always wondered who the narrator was.
Also are the buildings actually real? is sky even real? is everything just a simulation that Megan made

@kindred oar the mural might depict about the first CoL
I believe we’re constantly living a dream where we never wake up in Sky.
What year is sky
No like-
What year is sky

Look, its clearly showed in the credit that Sky world is inside a candle flame...
I was doing eden on sunday and imagined a whole new theory on the universe of Sky...
Tell us sofi
Are they new
ok , I will... give me a sec
Yeah flos, I think it's either the very first CoL or us. But the air mural got me thinking like, what are the elders doing with the trial lights, bcs they don't really show up before air mural?
Indeed... i was curious as well
Maybe they use the elements to enhance their realms?
Valley is quite good example since we can actually see how wind are important for the race
For forest tho... idk much
Water?
Yeah but
in the sky universe, we children of light are miners
there is this shiny substance that we take from this planet and take to orbit...
probably a space station for late processing of the substance...
the whole planet looks blue from orbit exept for the white dot which is eden and the clouds that surround the area
that is the extraction facilities... the mine or you know...
the shiny substance is shaped like childs incidentially...
this is so we go and get it... or it can be the process that makes it compatible with our store chambers in our bodies make's it with child shape because of how this tech work... or it is part of the user interface on the augmented reality vision we have... or idk...
but I think is something from the ground... nanobots go and extract it and then morph it into this shape and state...
and these nanobots also put it in certain places... maybe those special places have some receptors??...
curious that you can only hold the production of a place one at a time... i don't know about this part
and when you go to eden the storm is grinding your body, make it ready to prepare you to the extraction of the substance from your body
you are golden after the storm because of the high temperatures from all the grind on the eden machine
and in orbit you cool down and u don't have a cape because it is the container of the shiny substance... that is what they take in the star ship...
if you think about it, when you get the shiny thing... the cape holder augments...
and then they give you new recipient to go get more minerals
or maybe... the cape burns because of high temperature...
so ... anyway... we are miners of a substance from an alien stelar civilization
Just look how wrecked forest water is
@heady shoal you know we can actually went to space station in game right?
Nice theory ngl
thank you!... what does "ngl" means?...
Not gonna lie.
ok ok... thank you! hahaha...
Also, about the Forest water, I don’t think it’s wrecked. We only see it that way because it damages us; but not entirely, since the rivers and bodies of water don’t affect us.
You were right ._.
Hmm im kinda wondering this too... do you guys think these elements causing havoc to the realms?
Mmm idk butter once tell me this
From trial of air mural we can see there are 4 realms that given the elements :
- Prairie : green light (earth)
- Forest : blue light (water)
- Valley : cyan light (air)
- Wasteland : red light (fire)
CMIIW
From these 4 realms, we can see there are 3 realms that in terrible/destroyed state : Forest, valley and GW
For forest and GW we can see clearly how destroyed both realms are. But why did i include Valley?
Well, you can actually see that valley is literally frozen over . Seems like once valley is not all frozen like our current valley. The state of current valley is like when Elsa went mental and froze Arandelle over (i cant find a good example im sorry-)
What if those lights weren't at all what wrecked the realms, but things used to restore them?
If you take the first letters of the trials, EWAF, it can be turned into EW&F, which is the old R&B band, earth, wind and fire! Sooo, maybe the TGC team were listening to their music when creating the trials.
I’m sorry I’ll take my leave.
The stars likely needed to take from the environment, and this would naturally have a negative impact. Each elder would take a different resource and make something they needed, then use the colored light to prevent the environment from going Wasteland.
Also according to Reika, current Citadel was actually a peak of a very high tower. This can be concluded that Valley building once was stood more higher than current situation but got drowned by the clouds
valley was frozen over and surrounded by the clouds
This is Reika's comments about Citadel
Clouds naturally bring water, so forest would also be naturally restored. Same for Valley, air just naturally creates wind. Valley... In all honesty, that realm could be as bad as wasteland compared to it's glory days. We only see what remains, and the rest may have fallen.
When the elders/stars are falling, we only see 6, and the humanoid-shaped light in the middle just standing there like "see u guys, was nice sharing with u".
But suddenly later a seventh star is falling and become the Eden's Elder If the humanoid-shaped light didn't fall, why they become the star that came from no one knows where his king?
I think that Eden's Elder was the one who brought the darkness because he was jealous of the present god and wanted the stars to praise him in his own garden
'and the whole tower actually goes all the way down'
'it's a bit dark, but what you see above the clouds is actually just the tip and its where all the riches live'
'and the areas under the clouds where the lights dont reach'
'and the tip of the tower that you see is like the top of the top'
If you look at the element symbols they look kinda like letters: water M, earth Y, air E, fire J
idk
M Y E J
@hushed steeple what if, Megan know the child is the one who caused the 6 stars fall and punish the child by making them falling too
And force them to be the leader of the 6 stars
if they made the next season area in Valley im gonna scream-
An alternative: the prince stayed up in the sky as long as he did because he managed not to fall at first, and wanted to send help (the lights). He then tried to use the mountain to ease the trip home, but the elders had used the lights sent to them to fix the environment rather than charge themselves, making the trip impossible
Like imagine if next season is about exploring more about valley

Each of those realms has been destroyed by its element though— Prairie is half-buried and covered with grass, Forest is drowning in rain, Valley (esp citadel side) sploded by wind, Wasteland looks parched/burned
...arent prairie suppose to be like that?
I mean unlike other realms Prairie is teh least to get destroyed
The belltowers are on top of buried structures
An alternative: the prince stayed up in the sky as long as he did because he managed not to fall at first, and wanted to send help (the lights). He then tried to use the mountain to ease the trip home, but the elders had used the lights sent to them to fix the environment rather than charge themselves, making the trip impossible
@short owl
That makes sense, but why would they then start a war apparently between them, would it have been for the prince's arrival? Some elders supporting him to fly into space but at the cost of extracting all the light from the earth while others wanted to stay on earth and not sacrifice the new life they bring to earth
You just answer yourself
That's certainly a possibility. Another is that when the fire light went dim, it was a war over a scarse resource.
... Which works out even more because what do we bring to the elders and the spirits?
FIRE.
We give the elders flame and light up the ancestors
Another thought: what if the wasteland buildings don't belong on the ground?
Or at least not all of them

Wait what
Man i write long for that-
Okay so here is a thing : valley is located high up on the clouds while gw is located under the clouds
Ans then there is a speculation that valley and gw was once one city called as golden valley
And clouds in GW have holes
Its seems your speculation right Null
That makes sense because the buildings look someone similar in valley & gw. Valley seems different from the other lands due to it mostly being an arena race- & where did those people come from ? Where did those buildings come from ? Gw probably
If GW once had buildings high in the sky, perhaps fire had a very non-obvious role... Or one a little too obvious - cleaning up the sludge
Another theory I have is that the valley belonged to the rich people. The people full of light & never needed to work or have resources- they rested in the sky and watched races for entertainment. But below the races were the poor, hardworking spirits that used the temple to harness the power there. Soon things went awry and the gw got polluted
This assuming they didn't flip to manta power and create sludge only AFTER the flame ran out
Valley is supposed to be divided by class
How exactly ? Can u explain ?
Ahh you can either gimme a minute or just move on I have Stuff I have to do right now >.<
Ohh ok that’s fine !! Take ur time dww
Out of context: Skykids' bodies are made of darkness while their cosmetics (identity) are made of light

Yes I agree !! It makes sense because when ur flying and see a shadow, there’s no shadow for the wings
It’s only a show of ur skykid
*shadow I can’t type
Maybe we aren't made out of darkness but rather something solid?
Also, if skykids start out as genderless, does that mean that being cis in sky is being non-binary
Yeah.. maybe a combination of both
the lack of shadows for the cape is due to performance optimizations for lower end devices
Probably
Ohhh
Nvm then lol
Sorry for bothering
Im just having brain moments
But the cosmetics made out of light theory is somewhat accepted by the devs as well???
Uh I don't remember I just saw that somewhere
it’s in the canon doc i believe
Never forget that what we think of as luxuries are very much necesities for some. Elevators get wheelchairs up stairs. Technology gives us new medical equipment. Pre-cut food allows people without strength or stability to eat the food in question.
So if the elders integrated into society, they likely knew ancestors who relied on the technology they had, and would have a hard time taking it away
Sorry for bothering
Im just having brain moments
@south sluice don't worry this is the perfect place for brain moment
Okay okay so Valley being divided by class is something I’ve gotten from various concept arts, including what’s on like the first page of Tom Zhao’s website if you wanna look it up
And also, yes. Technology allows people with disadvantages to get closer to equal footing. Banning it entirely would have heartbreaking consequences.
Or taking it away completely. Teth, at least, seemed to have an actual job in the Sky society
Same for Ayin, but Teth's job is easier to make the connection.
... What is that emote
Okay but why do the wealthy districts in Valley float like bro how do you get up there you can’t fly
?!
boat
It's ok,boats aren't used much in our gameplay
I promise I’m smart most of the time
This is brain juicer
I is so confused. Any way... If literally ANYTHING Teth made had to do with medicine and there's no one else who can make it yet... Teth probably would be unwilling to leave. That could be a serious problem if anyone was unwilling to leave them behind.
Only now, all the ancestors are dead so that is no longer a concern
Which is really dark and messed up
@hushed steeple ye this juice brain like concept factory juice manta
Tasty
This is only vaguely related to what Null is saying but now I’m thinking about if it’s possible for a Skid to be created with physical disabilities. Maybe those are the ones Megan left to die on the beach in old beta
I would say maybe, however I would not be surprised if something was in place to catch that
Maybe the home ancestor secretly sells extra arms and legs for 0 candles?
Teth makes prosthetics or something, just hands them out to whoever needs it
The Twins keep coming back because they’re always breaking theirs
Or maybe because of how bodies are created, a skykid with a physical disability would just get a fresh body once identified?
Teth ABSOLUTELY charges the twins
True, true
And maybe has some lower quality ones stashed in case the twins have an emergency. "Oh, you're out of money? Have a CLAW until you can afford a hand"
Kakashi just walks into the Valley temple with a giant hook one day and Dora can’t stop laughing
Lol i just used for some fun... But if someone feeling uncomfortable then i won't use.
sorry... And ya let's get back to lore
Maybe Teth usually charges but has a free tier for those who say, need to be able to walk in order to go to school and their family just can't afford anything decent?
|| the eyes stare into my soul ||
Lore confirmed?
Well, we don't really know if sky world has a currency (which the spirits used back then, not the candles we use now), so
Oreo is just an Easter egg jo
Sorry, It's not lore realted, that's just a prompt of skybot, it always says the same line when you krill oreo
Wait
Okay but Oreo was never saif

So... How did Skybot know you meant Oreo
That.... is the question
Sometimes when you type too long and use the !krill command before that... Skybot thinks you tried to krill the innocent (evil) dog
It's just a coding thing... And ya not lore related
i think it is a response that has a probability of occurring
it is in the cog code
what is the topic?
Last topic was skykids, physical disabilities, and Teth having a free tier of cosmetics cause they absolutely charge the twins but isn't a monster
This isn't the prairie temple for sure, what's ayin doing here then?
And what is this building
Prairie temple in isle murals
it’s the prairie temple, it looks almost identical to the actual one
😆 lore channel can’t take a joke. Lighten up guys, it’s literally all fun and games
Yeah, we understand, but we try to be on-topic <3
lore channel isn’t the place for off-topic joking around
Well, i am not sure whether it's the Prairie temple,
lemme try and find a pic of the temple
I think it's praire temple too... As no other structure similar to that
It's forest temple i think
To be fair, forest temple seems the type to expand
Also, i made this, sorry for reposting, but what do you think?
no actual theory in it since I'm still tryna get some brain cells before i make an approach
I mean, the triangle body looks pretty accurate , i think that's supposed to depict his Armor
look at the layering style of the temple, the prophecy and isle murals are just slightly different interpretations of the prairie temple
Similar tbh
wait, this means that prophecy took place before the isle temple was built
that’s literally a simplified prairie temple
Not quite for me, but it's okay, everyone has their own theories
it’s the same kind of construction with a bell atop
i legit thinking that isle temple was build the latest
right before the eden went boom
or it could be the prairie temple before renovations and additional constructions
which means the prophesies took place long before when the isle temple was built
I think Prophecy happened before any major constructions were done
can be
since its a propechy after all
mmmm but here is teh catch
if the murals on isle telling us how prophets created, that means isle temple was created before prophets created-
Tbh, that mural looks more like the forest temple (but it's a bit shorter), and kind of looks a lot like the diamond press with the Statue on
Now I want to know what is the Prophecy about
The King? The fall of the kingdom? Skykids' creation (because I saw on sky website that the prophets were waiting for us)?
okay created is not a good word but meh i forgot teh proper word-
well find out after the fire trial, Ucabi
hold on
okay can soemone check if there is any depiction of isle temple in isle murals?
not prophecy cave murals
Yeah, i think these are the 4 prophets, we are shown 4 people with some lights , so i highly think it could be tge 4 prophets
don’t worry citizens, your prophet is here
@south sluice the fire trial isn’t in live yet, please leave discussions of its content in #beta-discussion
indeed
i believe isle murals depicted how prophets came
they seems to get knowledge from the fallen stars
Yeah, There are 4 people in every single Isle mural
those fallen stars also different from the elders
Maybe those fallen stars are the light that's shown in prophecy mural?
Looks like they are creating the isle temple
So, maybe, they are taking the wisdoms and making the temple?
But, in Prophecy murals, we see that the elders have the wisdoms/lights
its quite interesting, truly. these murals are the first thing we see when we first started our journey in isle
like, our coming seems to be expected, and soemone put those murals to tell us that our coming has been expected from a long time ago...
okie
Those are common folks (ancestors) i believe wolf
Maybe this mural is after he was given the 4 lights
Well, i think , they might be the Prophets, but then, those murals in isle have existed since forever, and Prophecy came out after an year of launch (if they had the prophets idea lomg ago, and decided to bring it now, that's Kind of incredible, but hard to believe.) So, maybe they're just villagers.
there is actually two kinds of murals that showed to us when we first started our game : the intro murals and isle murals
intro murals tell us about 7 stars fallen and how they build the city on cloud until its actual demise to the storm.
while isle murals tell us how people (sky people) find 4 fallen stars and give them to Daleth so those stars can back to their place in orbit
we might be thinking, oh yeha fallen stars can back to the sky yeee. but here is the catch. why isle murals only depict 4 fallen stars when the intro murals clearly showed 7 fallen stars?
so it possible the fallen stars in isle murals and opening murals are not the same stars
Yeah, about to say that
Those fallen 4 stars aren't elders i believe
Those are most likely prophecy lights (in prophecy mural)
Cause all 7 elder stars didn't fell in isle only, they scattered throughout the clouds
And the big question if those are elders how come daleth in isle before their fall?
Maybe, we are just seeing daleth's part here
Other elders were there too somewhere, but that isn't shown in murals , that what they did, maybe they tried to find daleth?
also why daleth presented on isle murals when they was suppose to be part of the 7 fallen stars? its quite weird that a fallen star helping another fallen star to get back to the orbit while the fallen star themself cant go back to the orbit?
I am not even sure that daleth is sending the fallen stars to orbit there
last mural, depicted by the refusing spirit
mmm wait
oh nvm not the last mural
i believe this is the pointing pilgrim mural?
last mural would be this
seems like daleth leading the light creature to follow the fallen stars to the orbit
bring back the fallen stars to the orbit and sending those light creatures to the orbit with fallen stars as their guide. two birds with one stone.
Wait, let's start from the beginning
4 things fell from the sky
4 people fetched them
And did something to them
Then delivered them to isle elder
And then he did something with them
They were actually kind of doing something with the things,
I don't have the photo ;-;
The ones in the entrance isle cave
Yeah
its a picture after the stars fell and the two people figure jist went woah
And two people are like bending over near the light,
yep
Oh no i have to go ;-;
that pic too
;-;-;-;-;
Xd
good luck mate, i gotta go too
Well bye flos

So Daleth is a star, and most stars got scattered, right? So why was Daleth chilling with the ancestors?
Hi I’m back
Good question... maybe daleth wasn’t split for some reason ??
But why 🤔
I don’t think that the stars on the murals are elders though
I think maybe the four scattered stars that the people pick up are parts of a star ? And in each trial they collected that part of a star, & going up the mountain was their journey to put the star together and bring the star back to restore light
Does anyone know why the stars fell in the first place tho ? Or are there just theories as to why
Daleth is a boat star... Maybe that's part of why?
Yeahh true
I’m just a lore lurker/listener,
even though I read Bricky’s Beginner’s guide to Sky Lore.
Hello
Those are definitely elders but we have our own interpretations of the mural I respect your theory too
hey, quick q, what is each elder's supposed name again/where can I find said info? I remember seeing it somewhere a while ago...
and also anyone know why they chose hebrew letters?
that’s a question you’d have to ask the dev team, but i’m guessing it’s because there’s lots of references to the bible. the bible and the hebrew language are closely connected so i can see the thought process there
Isle: Daleth (ד)
Prairie: Ayin (ע)
Forest: Teth (ט)
Valley: Samekh (ס)
Wasteland: Tsadi (צ)
Vault: Lamed (ל)
Prince: Alef (א)
King: Resh (ר)
PLEASE NOTE: These names have appeared in concept art and are often used when referring to the elders. They are no longer canon, they are fanon.
yeah, I'm somewhat fluent in hebrew and was going to look into the gimatria, hidden gimatria, and other possible meanings
this could be nothing but this krill is, glowing really brightly, like they used to be creatures of light
idk if it would add up but still
Lol
I dont remember a krill being there
Me too
hello, i was wondering about the valley twin names
do they both have the same name? since on the name list valley is just listed as 'samekh'
yes, the valley twins are one elder thus they have one name
Somewhat random question but what’s up with the spirit in office that’s up in the sky? I can never seem to be able to activate it and so I haven’t been able to see what it does
i guess one is just a spirit to show you around and talk, but dunno about the other ones
Yeah, some of the others talk too but idk of that one does
i haven't really been bothered to look at the spirits so that's all I know xd, sorry
I came here to escape from gen, it’s so busy the slow mode was set to 3 mins and I was still very overwhelmed
The gen chat is on 🔥
The hype about ts .
I was like
It's like they never seen a ts in there life .
this isn’t ts-discussion-spoilers
please move to #seasons-events-chat to discuss ts
Question, who are the king & prince exactly ? I’ve heard about them but where are they from ? Can they be seen in game ?
those questions are answered in the canon lore doc
Oh ok ! ty !
Also moff doc i believe
primary sources are better, namely canon doc
Hornet is void.
yes
just when i thought i escaped hollow knight it pulls me right back in.......
Yaaaay my computer was fixed and now i can continue with the lore pdf!

Oh yeah, and the pale king is the knight
And the pale king is just a reincarnation of the void
Why is the isle elders face all cracked?
I don’t even kno who to respond to
Why is the isle elders face all cracked?
@ornate olive My analysis: he is old.
What are we talking about in the popcorn club?

How the Prairie Elder was Oreo's nemisis
Well, the thought process is
That Oreo was a wannabe elder
but the current elder of the prairie dissaproved of that
so oreo was cast out to the butterfly room

And their spirit was put in a rock
That is why it takes 8 true believers to awaken Oreo
If I have a theory but its more in story form should I still post it here?
Yessssss
Sure?
Only if it has a limerick
ok this was from something I thought of yesterday and its mostly a broad overview
Anyway tell ussss
Overthrow Theory
The elders lived in a place above the clouds ruled by the old king. The old king was a wise figure that knew secret knowledge stored in a place beyond place. It was a peaceful time, yet still there were some that were complacent. There was the prince, the next in line. But what good was next in line when the king was eternal? The prince sought change, and he found it within others as well. The conflict brought infighting, turmoil, struggles. The elders fell from the sky, weighed down by their own hubris and beliefs.
And when they landed in the clouds, they sought to create a new kingdom, a new home. They needed that change, and they found it in the prince, who was crowned the new king. The old king was deposed, stripped of his title and banished to the far off isles at the edge of the land. He was to wear his broken crown as a reminder of what he had failed to prevent. But what they couldn't take away from him was his knowledge, and the new king sought to steal away that too.
From the riches of the land, the isle elder used his knowledge to forge elements that could harness the powers of nature for good. He gave them to the other elders in hopes that they would make use of them for the better. The isle elder wanted to reheal the old wounds that had cast them down from the heavens and amend the wrongs. But the wrongs weren't his to amend.
As time passed, society was settled down in the heart of the valley where the poor and rich lived in uneasy coexistence. Up in his high tower, the king finally managed to crack open the vaults but what he sought wasn't for the good of his people. Rather, he broke into the cubes of forbidden knowledge, learning from them how to create power diamonds. The promise of power diamonds whipped the people into a frenzy. The people changed, and with it too the lands.
The isle elder warned them. He knew what that power would bring.
If only they had listened.
The isle elder created the trials, as the last attempt to right the wrongs of the elders. He trained the ancestors in hopes that they would understand what was necessary. And many did come to realize. Many rebelled, attacking the factories that sat in the now desolate wastelands. But it was all for naught.
The king, using the resources in the reach of the empire, built the prime power diamond, capable of absorbing the elements. It was the ultimate power in the king's hand alone. Something that now even the old king could have achieved. But this was their final downfall. The crystal destroyed eden, carrying part of it into the sky while the rest was laid to utter waste, ripped and torn asunder under the raw power of the prime power diamond. The king fell into oblivion and with them, the empire fell.
If only they had stopped to look at what they had become.
If only they had listened.
I mean a lot of what I figured came from the opening line "if only they had listened" being directed towards the elders
It definitely seems like some inner turmoil had to happen, empires don't just fall randomly
Also that's such a well thought out theory
Well, I'd like to refer to the previous games
I've never played Flower, so I can't speak for that one
But every empire fell from a special resource being exploited
Journey! Something something something (gotta play that one, or just rewatch it)
Abzu (not made by TGC) fell from a blue ball thingy being exploited
Well in this case it would have been the power diamonds
But the resource was an outside resource
If these "power diamonds" were created, could they have been exploited?
And I think you said they created them
It is hard to focus
I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that power diamonds had to do with their downfall
Probably
Maybe it's more like they got greedy, the stone in vault wasn't big enough for them so they made the eden one and it exploded or something idk
'cuz of the big one in eden
That could be possible
I'll be right back
Okay, but for real though, why are two poasible teenagers the elders of Valley of Triumph–
Stars can't be teenagers
They look like teens 👁️ 👁️
I mean we don't really know their ages
Hh
Stars still can't be teenagers
Most of the spirits seem to be young adults now that I think about it. Like there's the elders that seem old but they're literally ancient anyways, otherwise some seem to be older teens/early 20s and some like mid 20s to 30s imo
GJvjs)(gfU-0voVJ9hV[0ER9
They would've been immortalized at the age they died most likely, which is kinda morbid now that I think of it
Excuse me, are you guys implying that stars age like human beings
That they grow from kids to teenagers
On to adults and then old people?
Or could we just keep it as a big ball of gas that expands and expands to eventually die, just like everything else in the universe
Hmm true they could be hundreds of years old and look like teens, but the elders seem to suggest that they age
Stars with suggested ages.
I mean isle elder definitely looks the oldest
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
And seems to suffer from arthritis

AAAAAAAA
Is not this!
MY EYES
I wonder if the spirit memories are where they actually died, or just like their most important memories to them when they lived that they maybe thought of when they died oh jeez that's dark
How about we talk about something else
Yeah let's do that
Like how all the rocks from Eden are from Orbit
seems like a good conversation starter :p
Oh yeah, and why the hell does orbit have an ocean
That ain't right 😠
I don't want water in my space
Maybe orbit was actually a small moon that blew up
Yeah, what IS orbit
It isn't a sun
and it is the spiritual destination for all creatures of light
Well we see megan in both orbit and the credits, and i think it's been confirmed that the light creatures go back to megan, but that doesn't explain the part before the gate still
Or the bell at orbit
Maybe a remnant of where the spirits used to live? wait no I'm confused now
I want to understand why creatures of light are gathered to the bells
They seem to be like prayer bells with the way they turn and the runes or whatever carved into them, but otherwise
Well, I think Caesar made me realize this
Every creature of light is gathered to bells
In Prairie! You need to ring the bells to call the mantas to help you to the temple
Sanctuary! you gather (memory fragments, I dunno) to call the mantas
Orbit! There is a massive bell heard in the very center at the gateway, and every single creature with light heads toward it
It could be why we go to eden, to make the journey to orbit
but we just die
Oh yeah, the bells inside forest call the jellyfish, the local creatures of light :3
Does anyone disagree with me and my thoughts
Also butterflies are attracted to your calls
Yes!
So maybe larger creatures would be attracted to larger sources of light/sound
Same with the bells though
it's a very sound- oriented thing
Wait, you use your light to ring the bells
Could be why there are no Krills around bells
So the light is used to make the sound to call light?
That sounds odd
I mean when we release the call we see there is some sort of light traveling outwards
True
You can also use your call around others to gain more light
Yeah
You can still call to recharge others tho
Yes
So whatever the call is definitely gives off a source of light
What about when krills hit you? When they roar they also give off the same circle of light like how skykids call
I mean maybe they use it to trap creatures of light
Well yeah thats true but they still have the circle
Wait do we see them make a call or is it just when it hits us we see the
because if it's when it hits us it might just be our light yeeting out
Yeah
I'll go get krilled later and check lol
And if Krills had light, you can see it rising to orbit just like every other creature with light (mantas, us, whales)
Oh yeah, and spirits
I guess they count too
Maybe their light source is from other creatures of light
Literally, they lack light
We do see them hunting/killing mantas
OR they would be going to orbit
Ooo yeah
They could recycle that light
Kind of how plants use light to photosynthesize and then animals eat plants
Counterargument: We haven't seen a single piece of evidence that shows that light can be stolen
None.
Idk i just think its odd that all creatures of light have that circle but krills also have them too 🤔
We got to base our thoughts on anything we can see in game
Mei, we'll figure it out
Meibe that confirms the theory that krills were once light cteatures
Owo
But that doesn't seem accurate either
When Mantas die, they die
You can see their spirits inside the Vault
And their bones elsewhere
I have another thought that maybe the circles from calls don’t actually have anything to do with light and that they just represent sound waves or something
Yes! I agree
Thats the only thing I can think of for a reason krills have them
Well, just think of it from another angle
Whenever a sound is made by anything, there is the circle effect
That is a fact.
Ahh yeah I think thats true too
The first thing that comes to my mind supporting that are the bells in home
What is your point? But that did just give me a thought
Idk I just thought of that 😂
Well I mean I don’t see those bells being powered by light
The shrine at the bottom might power them since we see that the candles in isle activates murals
The bell is on eden
That means it just calls you to eden :p
Actually, what is the home?
It is an isolated island
With some closets
and portals to every area in the kingdom
Shouldn't it be used more?
It's just there
It's also where you land when you're created/reborn so yeah you would think it has more significance, just seems like a hub to me
Strange hub, I'll say that
Because it is just an island, no joke
There are plenty of islands nearby it
No idea why they chose that one
if you fly up from home, the 6 realms + your constellation plate recreates the intro cutscene
not me who figured it out first tho
Oh?
And the constelation plate
Actually, I'll get into those later
but it just occured to me
If they chose that island (dunno why they are, or if they chose it)
could you imagine how fun it would be if they chose the other island nearby? it looks so big!
The plate could be near the shore, with staircases up to portals, and at the peak of the island is eden! Along with all the caves they could add
the island in the distance is where the intro cutscene takes place
it used to be easier to get there but windwalls happened 😔
You used to be able to get there? Ooo I wonder what it looks like

Like the secret area or really high above home?
sounds like a discussion more for gen chat?
Ohhh, do you see a ||space station||?
That one.
I got that part
Hey, I'm kinda falling behind on the lore. Can anyone do a quick outline on what the general idea for the back story and what everything means please? Thanks!
lore summary:
can't really provide a solid summary for lore as it's that vague sorry
but generally the outline for backstory would be from the intro cutscene:
elders came down/realms prospered > something happened and everyone died (usually attributed to the storm) > skykids came to go die and save the elders ("bring our lost stars home" stars being elders) and also the kids in stormlock
Thanks! That makes a lot of sense!
from what I can see in trial mural 1 and the spirit memories, cave of prophecy seems to be like a summer camp
and I completely believe what I just said
do I need to explain a bit more?
That's one heck of a summer camp
only for the best of spirits
‘Beware the Ancient Trials’ sound like a warning tbh
wait where was that?
i would assume it is a warning due to the earth trial murals
pros:
- writing homework? nah
- cool geysers and floating rocks
- pretty murals
cons:
- you might die
i like those odds
Same
Wait what are the elder's names? I see people using them in the chat but I don't know who's who
here ya are
Isle: Daleth (ד)
Prairie: Ayin (ע)
Forest: Teth (ט)
Valley: Samekh (ס)
Wasteland: Tsadi (צ)
Vault: Lamed (ל)
Prince: Alef (א)
King: Resh (ר)
PLEASE NOTE: These names have appeared in concept art and are often used when referring to the elders. They are no longer canon, they are fanon.
Thanks!
tho the names where made before valley was 2 elders so I call them Sam and Ekh respectfully
valley are 1 elder
Cool
when I try and refer to just one half of the elder I use those
2-in-1 pack on sale now! /j
yo ktjn uwu
I'm noob here, I want to know the basics about the world of sky, where can i read up on it?
the pins is a good place to start
They were never canon.
Hello new Lore Moff!
Read this short document to get started! Once you’ve read this, check out pins for more information.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18B1-SKG3toG0oH0VhOWC5o-cG9u0STAN92QvmbhTDto/edit
the names ?
correct
thanks @lethal stump
oh
ye, we know, just old concepts
That's something I verified with narrative design, they were never canon at any point.
oh wow
I know but the continued use of them creates a lot of confusion.
You really should use their official names.
we'll try but it might not work out
it gets lengthy at times, the placeholders are shorter
btw, if they were never canon, was there ever any reason for those specific names, or were they random ?
and ngl I kinda like the names from that concept
[zone name] Elder is too lengthy?
sorta
concepts are just that, rough ideas used to convey an idea or theme or invoke a specific emotion.
i see
if they ever get names past elder of the [zone name] you'll tell us right?
i thinj well find out, Jouske
the « Elder of the [Realm] » names come from their shops in Eden/Orbit
if they change, it’ll be seen
yeah yeah
The ancientness of the iconography from an older language hits that mark, and may influence a sense of direction, but once the desired final design decision is achieved, the concept can be abandoned.
so hebrew was used for the, for lack of a better term, aesthetic ?
Based on what I’ve read in the concepts, at the time the meaning of the Hebrew letters matched the old ideas of the elders
This is jus my speculation tho
think of it like starting a piece of art with stick figures before becoming a beautiful fresco.
The elders have their official names, so there isn't anything to reveal
well that's how a project me and some irl friends is going rn so I can relate
Forest elder's concepts were a lot more sinister than the final design.
and waste was a spider
concept forest elder would make sky pg13
not necessarily
Oooo
do you mind directing me to that brick?
concept teth ?
yea
im p sure there’s some concepts of teth in tom zhao’s portfolio in the pins
also i think some were in the 7 days of sky
or concept forest elder
I actually liked her old concepts
Yeah she was evil and made kids get lost in the forest
But I still liked it
the social posts with concept art we shared around the sky anniversary mentioned that forest elder would seduce skykids, which raised some questions about how the word seduce was being used.
oh Jesus Christ
I guess skykids used to be ahem 'older'?
ehh, ion think so
They were also made to be kids
does seduce have multiple meanings in english?
Think of it more like the witch seducing Hansel and Gretel with food to her house so she could eat them. the word does frequently have a mature application, but that's not the only use of the word.
oh right thanks ktjn
no, skykids are children.
Oh so more like beckoning them to follow her to a creepy cabin than the other connotation
Never seen a concept where the player was an adult
but that gets me thinking
what would we call a adult skykid?
a sky person?
that’s if they can grow
skdult
But I guess they will be called that
thanks brick
Same height as valley elders?
then again that’s a rather old concept so like
Back when the wasteland elder’s spear was jus a stick with a weird triangle
it looks like a gigantic tooth brush
a
P I L L A R
oversized comb for his epic battle braid
oh wait that's more like prairies
The biggest threat of the day - hair
hey he's gotta use something to comb that
Praire had concepts where he would actually have that
It was jus a giant....pillar
Who knows what it was used for
i think it was meant to be some kind of key(?)
was it a pillar or a stool?
It was a fat stick If that helps with ur perspective
There was also a concept where a crab was used as an umbrella
poor crab
he brings around has favorite thinking stool everywhere
it’s in this concept compilation
Beating stick
yeah looks more like a pillar
They had lotta sticks
Stick is superior
D - did they swap size with the stick?
Hehehh the wasteland spear isn’t even a weapon anymore
It’s a rectangle on a stick
s,,,shovel ? maybe ?
Grave digger
he dug out the krill
oh
It was fat!
I was just trying to get the elder's names lol. I got them and left. I come back to a whole discussion with a mod lol
yeah that happens here
At least I have something to read now
mhm your welcome, waves
Actually, the discussuon with ktjn talks about those names ur looking for
im starting to think the the golden person on the boat in the water trial mural is prince
Maybe tho
here it is for reference
But there's a lot of those in other realms tho
wl?
important people get a gold glow
throw bac to when we glowed after the water trial
crab cave murals in ark
they had different glow ink
But there's a lot of those in other realms tho
usually humanoid figures in murals will have two lines to represent that they are ancestor spirits
this golden figure doesn't though, the only other time this figure is seen without two lines is in the intro cutscene, to represent the child of light (presumably, the golden figure in the middle of the elder stars at the start) and also us (the figure in the end)
in almost every concept the prince has looked like a skykid so if that is the prince, ofc it looks like a skykid too and vice versa
i'm not
I lost my brain cells in this channel
I'll try to help you find them but not sure if I'll be good at that
we stole them to add to The Collective™️
oh
:<
sorry guess I can't get them back I don't have the clearance
In order to become Inducted into lore chat you must surrender at least half of your brain cells, which become a hive mind that argues with itself
i surrendered all of mine is that ok
My brain cellsss
Are you stealing from the hive mind?
I said I don't have the clearance to get to the hivemind
I think someone left some on my doorstep
if they where actually mine or not is the question
did anyone leave some braincells on my doorstep last week?
Nope
how did I get these then
if anyone has any info on 3 braincells that wound up on my doorstep last week I'd like to know
Must be a crack in the old noggin
I like this elder ngl
teth
The kitty birb is very cute 🥰
ooo more animal ones
I like it
same
Found the entire page of creatures tho
that was some fish in the top right
So many
🐟
I like the turtle and the hummingbird
Just wish they made it to the game
Whyyy, performance issues, whyyyy
that deer hippocampus looks neat
In all seriousness I like to imagine that a lot of these animals used to exist, but died alongside the Ancestors, just so I can still hold the adorable idea of a bb Ancestor playing with these creatures
Extinction
that's what the baby ancestor was imitating in the confident sightseer cutseen
one of these
Yeah. Which I s’pose means the creatures wouldn’t be light creatures, since those get reincarnated
they just are creatures
Creatures are creatures
And I love creatures except scary ones
wait until you see the light and dark bat creature I'm working on
(from the mask if you didn't know)
NO NOT THE SPIDER-
I did that one first
AAAAA
I didn't make them look to scary
Okok good
I'll dm them to you if you want to see
Yee ofc
Want sum more?
I'll also dm it to anyone that didn't see it before
oh look horseshoe crabs
and a wurm
and a narwall with a mountain shaped horn hmm
That worm is terrifying
Imaging you're running through the desert and that thing is just tunneling under you to eat you
no looks like it would do something like the space wurm from starwars
Do the bones in graveyard match anything from the concept art?
not as far as we’ve seen
there's no way to tell since we don't really know the sizes of these creatures
or if there is I can't zoom in enough to see it
For a few of the you can see skykids next to them
Seeing that a lot of concept creatures have antlers I'm curious if the original megan-figure was supposed to be a deer instead of a bird
Maybe like a princess Mononoke thing
Megabird and megadeer tho
maybe there are multiple mega beings?
unless a dev says otherwise there can be more than one megabeing
Megafish
is there a sky multiverse with a different megabeing over watching each one? we'll never know...
y’all are reading my minds
It’s the hivemind at work
i have a fan-story with a kingdom of Sea and Sand, each with their respective megacreatures
the hivemind has served it's purpose
y’all are reading my minds
wait you have multiple?
thèse be some sand kingdom fan elders
#completed-sky-fanart-and-creations message
hive mind, comrade
Ah, yes, the hive mind, pinnacle of communism
The dark universe
what would it look like?
well it's getting late for me so I'll be going to sneep have some good stuff when I get back tomorrow alright?
Good night
I'm kinda curious if the forest elder was always suppose to have the diamond helmet or if it was just the result of a change in the older design
The concept art helm looks a lot more animalistic
Also that middle picture looks like some pied piper stuff
Bruh that vault elder really shrunk there
Lil prince
@stable ravine is the prince the dark one or orange one?
figured as much
Honestly looks like the prince only has one eye but that's probably just the mask design
are you new here, Wozapi ?
so you’re new to lore chat ?
Hello new Lore Moff!

take this uwu
Just based off the sizes I think they were trying to make some strong parallels between the skid and prince
I don’t wanna read
it’s 600 words
I think I know the lore enough
if you wanna get into lore, you’re gonna have to read
I’ve been playing the game for a year I’m fine
I’m just a big fan of the concept art
It makes me crave npcs
Like just talk to a guy
I think it's pretty clear that whatever happened in wasteland they weren't fighting krill
But seeing all those skeletons is kinda confusing
Considering they should be from creatures of light and they all seem to be facing towards the wall
Y'all
I wanted to share this earlier today but sadly I got busy
SO
you know how we calculated that if the next ts is not a repeat we will see the 11th wedge by the end of fire trial. So I wanted to share here that if the next ts is from enchantment (the only one that won't be a repeat) then the devs know and this whole season is for THAT 11th wedge.
Well check the news channel now
I mean
beware the prophecy
What if the prophecy is the 11th wedge? The transformation?
Seasonal spoilers ahead from beta
|| I've seen the season finale and tbh it's not that dramatic at all. There's no culmination or so... ||

Prophecy? WHERE?!
It’s like fence
It’s like fence
@stable ravine I think there's a better way of making fences than killing a bunch of creatures and leaving their spines there
I mean the could have just dead
Waste not what not
And they could be used to keep the sand at bay
I mean if that's what you believe
Or the guy sitting there used them as graves
A lot of this just head canon
in the original concepts, they fought light creatures
I wonder how much of that they kept in
Maybe
Krills are maybe from their bones
for the whales it seems at the very least they caused some kind of problem
After eden one smashed through the wall and the dead one in forest kinda destroyed a buliding
Rip
Whales tryna vibe but elders said we want buildings but whales said HEHEH BUILDING GO BRRRR
We know whales existed as far out as the forest so it definitely seems like they were hunted
Considering how few are left
The whale in Belonging Forest : They won't find me here
Skykids : THIS BOI BEEG
But srsly tho
They're big babies ngl

I wonder if the goldfish are creatures of light
Also in praire under the temple bridge
Y'all

REPOSTING BCZ GOT IGNORED THE FIRST TIME
i mean, the season is focused on lore. why would the prophecy be something barely related to lore ?
Idk maybe that's a part of something.
The fact that the 11th wedge will be accomplished after finishing the last trial..?
thing is not everyone will be able to hit 11 wedges during prophecy so i don't think they would pull something like that
Idk, just theorising
I’m back!
@primal verge also there isn't any suggesting it could be something about another wing
We only see murals regarding the elders and elements
Hey is there a reason the wasteland water is black
General consensus is pollution
It has this like oily texture
Considering wasteland had factories and pipes it was probably extent from whatever came out of the pipes
Possibly more closer to the temple, but considering the first main building has pipes coming out of it that one was most likely a factory of some sorts
Also if you look in the distance to the left you can see another factory
Then where did the oil come from
It could be some kind of darkness sludge which would also explain why it drains your light
Nah it's been commonly agreed upon that the darkstone in every realm lead to the downfall of the elders and the pollution in the wasteland is because the elders' carelessness
Krill excretion?
I mean it doesnt have to be oil
It's not really oil I don't think oil would harm skykids/beings of light
Also considering we light lanterns around it and it doesn't blow up...
It's just... pollution, waste, but of what sorts
Can't say krill excreta because it comes out of the pipes in every factory
My theory is that it's the waste from the darkstone leftovers in the diamond press
that would explain the iridescence maybe
Most likely
Because we know the wasteland had a TON of diamond presses, compared to the forest which has only one, that would explain why the forest temple has water near the press but it's not toxic
Or its just rainwater ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Wait which ones are the diamond presses again?
The golden rotating thingies in the forest temple
Ohhh I see
do we know how close wasteland is to forest??? i wanna test a theory
You find it's ruins in the first krill area
Oh wait yeah I remember seeing that diamond symbol
The same as the one you light up in forest
Let me see if I can find a ss
do we know how close wasteland is to forest??? i wanna test a theory
@chilly thunder I don't feel like it's too far
But the storm kind of distorts that distance
thanks @ornate olive !!!
if the wasteland is relatively close to forest, maybe the rain in forest is similar to the acid rain we see IRL. generally speaking, acid rain is caused in one area with lots of pollution, but the acid rain doesn't fall on the source area. Instead, the rain usually affects nearby areas that are "downwind," so to speak
this could explain why the rain is toxic while normal water isn't
I think that honestly best explains the acid rain in forest
I don't feel like there are enough presses in the forest to cause that kind of change
I don't feel like there are enough presses in the forest to cause that kind of change
@ornate olive exactly!! acid rain is so unfair :(( just fall on the factories that caused it, not the poor wildlife and humans in other areas...
why is it that when we complete the reassembly of the bridges and activate the bells, the rain halts
Good question
we also do not see any significant corrosion on the statues and structures within the area
Maybe it generates enough light to prevent rain
I mean if you think about it
Why would a bridge be in ruins
Like obviously in it's normal state it would be a complete bridge
So that suggests that usually there is something giving off light to power it up
And that light is usually enough to keep away the rain???
i mean i know that IRL acid rain causes corrosion, but i was just using that as a comparison point to theorize on how the rain ends up being toxic in forest. i don't think the toxicity of the rain in forest necessarily needs to be similar to acid rain on the corrosion front
I don't believe the rain is toxic though
What would suggest that though?
it does not hurt any other light creature, such as jelly and mantas
ah i see, that's a good point
But jellies only come out after rain stops
If I'm remembering correctly?
And also the mantas are kind of traped normally
no, in the last portions of the second area
we see some small jellys if I am not mistakening
I might be wrong
it seems to me like there's some evidence that it can hurt mantas though. perhaps they can become hurt enough to fall, and that's how they eventually get trapped by dark plants
That's a good point
maybe in the process of burning the plants away, we are also "lighting them up" like we do each other :))
I always figured the plants were related to the power diamonds
my last argument for the rain not being toxic is if a large amount of rainfall occurred and the composition of the rain is toxic, then the bodies of water would also hurt us like in wasteland albeit in varying degree, yet we do not see this happening
i mean this occurs in open bodies of water with no surrounding plants
Like where?
under the broken bridges
