wait i just remembered something else. that spirit with hide and seek hair is not the spirit in hidden forest. hide and seek was wearing a robe. this spirit with the hair has the same clothes as the questgiver (and other students in the memories).
maybe the prophets gave them uniforms, but the students are kind of identical, not distinguishable except for the hair
maybe this is a lazy way of showing ancestor spirits passed on their bloodlines so their descendants have the same hair. (in that case it can be inferred the prince has moth hair, if we’re his descendants)

So the wasteland elder by far is the elder I respect the most, he's a warrior and fought as hard as he could to protect the vault. With what we see from the spirits, theyre survivors of the fall and after the krill began to invade the area. And previously I discussed a lore with the shields of the opposing side and what they were after, however. The wasteland elder the entire time, not only was trying to protect the Vault but was also trying to protect the land he loved. The history he loved, I believe this is what he fought for. Yet, in the end. Even then, he failed and his land was taken from him and he passed knowing that he failed not only his citizens but he failed the elder in Vault. What makes me even more sad, is that it looks as though the opposing side actually respected him. His shield and his weapon were never demolished, instead. They were placed respectfully against his shrine, standing upwards as though his respect and his shrine should still be respected even in the growing darkness. The Wasteland Elder makes me sad because he tried so hard as the last defense against the darkness, but instead he lost and passed while knowing he failed so many

And in the first half of wasteland, it looks as though the wall was broken in as its shattered into pieces. And even the hallway leading to the first krill, its completely torn down and statues are enveloped by sand after they collapsed

I feel like the spirits are there to guide newly fallen stars, teaching them how to adapt to their land born forms AND protect them from whatever the prophecy says will happen! I mean, the water trial said you earned the value of patience, so maybe it’s believed you need these lessons to avoid whatever terrible fate befell the kingdoms...also, interesting we only have four lights represented? Where are the others? I wonder if it’s because those seemed to be more magical and would have been discovered/created with the advancements of society
