It is quite early for a teaser at this point, some 20 days before the 2 weeks in between the next season. That’s what makes all this so suspicious, is that in previous announcements they’ve all been quite clear cut that it’s a seasonal announcement. Also the images that would accompany said announcements have all been the spirits facing towards us, and yet in this one they’re facing away. Something doesn’t seem right about this.

"Beware of the prophecy" what if this season's lore is about what happened when there were 'conspiracy theories' and stories about a major disaster, stories about someone who would help everyone (Aka our Skykid).

some things i've thought of

the masks do look like the ones in from tomcepts. they look pretty dark in colour scheme and are jagged as well. reminds me of krills and kreb. it's a stretch, but i remember more jagged shapes are used to denote darkness/corruption. i think these spirits are sort of 'evil' in a way - they could be rebels/opposition of a 'good' party. dark vs light? either way i'm not getting nice vibes from the spirits, they look pretty mysterious

I forget who said it, but someone said that perhaps the Twins were once one person and split into two. One of the faces on the Eden Gate, remarkably resembles the Twins on their gate, except the two figures are much closer on the Eden gate. The only problem is, 3 of the other Eden Spirits don’t resemble the other elders at all whilst 1 could be debatable. The middle one with the bunny ears also resembles this face, at least from behind, and also seems to be the youngest.

since ginsy's brought up the comparison of the masks to older concept art masks, i'm wondering if this would be some sort of case of spirits trying to be some sort of corrupted(?) versions of elders for the elders to lose their prestige among ancestors? at least, maybe they tried to look like and maybe even replace elders?
this might be unrelated too, but if those really are the concept art masks, they can be seen on the various temple doors - instead of the actual elders' masks. not sure if it applies to all but it does to prairie and forest temples as far as i can remember. maybe this season will explain why the spirits' masks are on the temples instead of the actual elders' masks. i somehow have some braincells leftover from my exam just now and i can't focus on anything else so i'm going to go crazy wrecking my brain on theories for this perhaps

For now, my theory is that these guys are related to the Elders (their posible mask designs look a lot like concept art masks, which also look a lot like concept art Elders).
They could be Megabird's failed attempts at creating a powerful enough Skykid.

I think we can take "beware the prophecy" a few different ways:
- The prophecy can be changed and we need to be wary of how we act so as to avoid it.
- The prophecy is self fulfilling and we need to make sure we don't let it happen.
- The prophecy is false to begin with and we need to be wary that we don't accidentally fulfil it by our actions.

I don't think we're going back in time, since spirit memories are already things that happened in the past. Remember we aren't seeing the spirits themselves when they were alive, we're only seeing their memories. So the spirits were meant to "beware the prophecy", but since they didn't the whole destruction of civilisation thing happened. Thus this season would be us reliving the memories of the spirits who did not heed the prophecy's warning.

I do think that this might line up kinda well with vault. If the spirits were meant to "beware the prophecy", then it probably is telling them about the dangers of the king and the big Eden diamond. Naturally, then, if the prophecy was against the king, he and the elders would try to hide it at all costs. And where is the one place where we know there's off limits records? The archives in the vault. What if the archive is forbidden because it contains the prophecy which would go against all the king propaganda and cause a revolt?

So the prophecy goes against the king propaganda, and is hidden in the archives. Some spirits violently go through the archives to find a rumoured prophecy (hence the holes in the walls and floor) and they find the prophecy. From there they decide that they should organise and launch an attack to stop the king and the elders. This is the civil war we see in Wasteland. Probably what happens from there is that they win over the GW elder, and he joins them, but by the time they get to Eden it's too late and the consequences of the big diamond have already been felt, and civilisations has already fallen.

I’m starting to think these spirits are just a previously unknown family of spirits, that have to do with something major in coming up lore for this season. When it does come out though and we learn something magnificent, we should search the vast expanses of sky for any references to them previously.

well to me it doesnt look like a seasonal teaser because we are still live with the present season. and they have never announced about new season before any live season ends. analysing the picture, felt like the spirits are in daylight prarie's entrance or may be somwhere in sanctuary. also all the seasons in the past including the present had 6 spirits.. the prophecy talks about 5 spirits.. so its a mystery. May be they are about to introduce a new realm of some sort 🤔

- it is a seasonal teaser since it has ap08 in the link like the other seasonal teasers, but since this season is probably going to be different and would have more lore, i guess it'd be advertised different as compared to past seasons.
- no new realms will be added, only expansions and so on
- check pins to find out more about the lore! i'd recommend starting with canon lore doc if you want the crumbs of what is considered canon

Come to think of it, the light in the Promo doesn’t look like a beam from the Diamond. It looks more like a crevice, with light (from the other side) coming through.

We have no idea what it is, carpet for socializing,, a map, or a scroll that contains the prophecy itself. It does seem to be made out of the same fabric as the sprit to the right’s cape though, they both have a lining. My guess is it’s a socializing carpet, just from that.

aaaaa it's bugging me so much, eden cannot possibly be restored because it's meant to show the corrupt king and the broken dark stone and we're literally needed to make a sacrifice to be able to be reborn fruitfully but on the other hand I can't think of a way the prophecy would work on any other singular realm

The middle spirit seems important, but there’s no way to know for sure who the quest giver is. Sometimes though, they have separate art for the quest giver, so watch out for that in the coming weeks. For now just keep in mind that this season may be astronomical important for lore with the way it was announced and the fact that there are only 5 spirits shown.

Okay so we've always theorized that considering the size of the weapons, the spirit beings fought each other, that there was a falling out between the elders. But in the original concept art the wasteland elder is half corrupted when we meet him and he is cleansed by the light we give him. Then he proceeds to sacrifice himself to give us the time to go to the vault. What if there wasn't a falling out in the first place? What if there was just corrupted spirit beings against normal spirit beings? Also note that the half corrupted elder had one orange eye hence blue isn't necessarily the colour of corruption

Prophecies are many things but when it comes to Sky, "Beware the Prophecy" is the last thing I would think of it comes this kind of stuff.

Sanctuary was a much needed season tho ngl even if it doesn't contribute much to the lore, it was beautiful, relaxing and gave us a taste of the summer we could have enjoyed if not for the pandemic. Sanctuary makes me so happy. It's just so serene and joyful. Also we got new pants.

I personally believe that the teaser image takes place in a new area for vault. The themes of a prophecy seem to tie well into “the vault of knowledge”, and the designs seem far more noble, which is a theme with all of vault

As i stated, a new area in vault. As we’ve seen recently with sanctuary and enchantment, new areas are being added to pre existing constellations all the time. There may not be such an area yet, but there very well could be one in the future

There’s already been and isle update before. Once during Lightseekers (the tunnel) and then the mountain, bells on the bridge, butterflies moved to the new mountain area to the left of the map that was added during belonging my dude. And wind tunnel got a big fix too!
The mountain was merely a small empty cave before with a star in it and nothing more

Many areas in general got “hiding” area or well just bigger updates when season of belonging was here!
- The two player door in ice rink and the moving platforms in vault were from gratitude
- the hovering stones in vault is also from lightseekers, and the cave/tunnel with a boat in the end in isle.
- the cave in sunny forest (pineswood), tree got the table and fire, wasteland got crab bbq, more crabs etc, and isle got a redo with a whole new mountain 🏔️ with a lake and elevator, valley maze, plus vault archives = belonging
all of this is stuff from before the ark that got added

I don't see a reason to which why there can't be a new isle area. Even if they add a spirit gate, the help text can explain moths what they need to to, and that area will definitely be around the exit, so, the moths already know what spirits are

yes the murals in ark can be interpreted as the krebs being corrupted due to the lack of water (or so i've heard, i myself dob't have solid theories on the ark murals) but i think spirit memories/cutscenes would be more solid to really show corruption

Something weird just happened to me. I was in the Battlefield area, reached the shield and spear plant and then I returned to the bone graveyard, but I think I was brought to a different area.
Area maybe is a big word but a kind of dark place with nothing I could picture well, I think mostly rock walls (maybe I just got a little disoriented while I thought I passed through the door to go back to boneyard).
Anyway I found a little crack/space among those rocks and I was brought directly into the entrance of the Golden Wasteland city, near the first Krill eats Tiny Manta

If this poster is a new season teaser, I think with the recent trend we could predict the kind of environment it will be in. For example, Sanctuary cosmetics have creature styles and vacation vibe hence we got the beach and something like a zoo.
Season of Enchantment hand fancy capes and turbans. I think this might be similar to traders in the Middle East culture, thus season was in the desert.
For this one, the clothes look heavy and bulky. So we can assume the season might be in a cold place. The masks are bulky like the ones in GW and Valley. So maybe sports or war?

each season teaser image in the channel would have ap(number) in their image link. the teaser image has ap08 (stands for adventure pass i think...?). check the other season teaser images? they'll have ap07, ap06, etc in their links (check browser/desktop for it to work)

Did you except a season like enchantment to come, it was really different, maybe tgc is doing something different this time too.
And though we are used to having 6 spirit. Maybe this time there are only 5 or maybe 1 is gone somewhere.
They annouced it way before cause they know how to build excitement.
Noone knows that seasons are"positive" or "negative" and neither are sure that this season is "positive" ) or "negative".
