The megabird doesn't look like the concept art anymore. It's either because there's way less light creatures that it can't form into it's original form (headcanon that it's built up from the spirits of light creatures), if it's because it's weakened or if the devs scrapped the look

all light creatures return to the light at the end of their life cycle so you are right that megabird is made out of them (or more likely they are made out of megabird), lots of the creatures fell to shattering and being hunt for their light to charge darkstones with it so theres less of them too

Quick question, why is resh so big and the other elders when in two embers everyone seems to be normal sized and us are just shorter due to us being ‘kids’

Resh themselves is probably a skykid, so there are a few reasons they could've grown up.

Either they used magic to make themselves bigger (like a resize potion or something) or they have a mech (this is goofier but some people have said this).

Perhaps it is as follows (as a hypothetical):

• dawn = strength or coordination to guide birds. Or simply their mask is repaired and the regain their sight.
• day = energy to work. Based on their tired and sleepy behaviour before given the flame.
• forest = resillience to work with their hammer. Based on them seemingly feeling pain or weakened telekinetic powers.
• valley = balance. Based on them competing with one another. Although this is more vague tbh
• wasteland = strength to fight more battles
• vault = memory or size as seen in encounters with them compared to our skykid as a reference.
• eden (if applicable) = probably coming back into existence since they very much seem to be absent in the game.

Side note
This is not truly a lore based thought. But still well within theory territory and meta-lore.

What would one think of sky-inflation?
Since we have 2 seasons where the season of gratitude and belonging are respectively reused/remastered as seasons of radiance and blue bird.
I wonder how much the prices of these seasons would differ.

It would be quite the shock if the total cost of these seasons would be 200% more expensive than the last.
Putting the argument that TGC is a business and earning a profit helps support them and their game aside.
For a game about friendship, mysterious lore, and cosmetics.

The game undermines its own value in the long term with the hype of cosmetics.
Before anyone says that cosmetic is optional. It is in fact a requirement to progress in the game. There is hardly any other relivable content otherwise in the game. That is aside from the candle grind to get more cosmetics.

I think cosmetics are a way of self expression and it does affect the interactions somewhat

after the main story, the cosmetics are usually the ones sought after. We can only equip a certain amount of cosmetics each time.

I wonder if Resh's mask actually grew or if they just changed it when they got older. Dawn Ember has small bumps that is in the same position as Resh's mask and someone also mentioned that both masks are chipped/somewhat broken. Those aren't ears since the ears are always behind the mask

The mask is very chipped on the edges. Personally think it's a different mask from when Resh gets the four pointed star one but it is interesting they made it have those pointed bits like that.

It might be hard to see since you gotta brighten up the screen, but I noticed that the back of Resh's head has a covering on it and only part of his face is showing but most of his face is hidden behind that star mask

I think it's weird, because in the pictures we have of Resh, they have a cover on their head and the diamond mask as well. So it's a mask on top of a mask on top of a mask. The sharp diamond mask, then the face covering, then the original Skykid mask.

Also rewinding to the Sky trailers, one scene caught my eye, the kid seeing a group of mantas flying over them while they are riding a wagon driven by the wagon rider, the kid then reached out their hand almost as if the mantas caught their eye with curiosity, the wagon rider looks at the mantas and back at the child as if they notice the child being intrigued, while this might be a stretch I think the same scene was kinda used with the orphaned child seeing the mantas while they are in a boat with other children who maybe had to leave their homes

I zoomed it a lot on the official Resh render and I think they're wearing a hood, so it's hard to find out if they're wearing the og mask. The texture looks like cloth to me (and Resh is possibly not as bald as we thought they were)

Another theory I had about Dawn Ember is that the darkstone that was given to them as a child was the same darkstone in Resh's mask. I know they might be a different size scale and might not be the same stone but I find it heart crushing to think they still kept the darkstone

Now what about Stewie's manatee? Probably got too curious at something like we see for the trailer for the season of Two Embers and it probably caused the creature to end up with shards on its flipper

tbf, being sick does make your brain go all, fuzzy (Sick right now my brain does not work in its fullest capacity) though and this is a wild thought/theory. Could it be something similar to long covid people experience now? They get sick once and are hit with all these other issues and factors, the dark crystal infection could lead to some craftsmen not being able to do their thing. Its also shown in the yawning boatswain that the darkness plants have some effects on the people

Before I go for the night here's my prediction:

Episode 1: Introduction to the world of Sky and the Ruler's City, we see Steward adopt the manatee and leave the city as it collapses to the storm

Episode 2: The Eden Diamond is being built, a storm of chaos surrounds Wasteland causing war and fighting, meanwhile Hopeful Steward goes to the shipwreck area and learns how to use particles of light to make a candle.

Episode 3: Hopeful Steward meets the bearded old guy who tells them about the history of Sky and important lore details, they tell them to head to Vault, they gather a gang with people Stewie saved from the candlelight, and Stewie heads to Vault alone

Episode 4: Vault Elder lets Steward in, tells them that the Ruler and Stewie have something in common, and they need to ascend Vault and go to Eden. The manatee dies at this point, either directly by the Ruler's hands or indirectly from the darkness. Stewie works with all the Elders to convince the Ruler to abandon their ways. The Ruler is convinced, but it's too late, and Steward narrowly escapes to Aviary while Eden explodes

I'm a huge believer that Resh regrets everything they did. In concept art and the artbook, it's mentioned that the Ruler (Resh) sacrificed themself for a new future as a last resort during the eden eruption. I wonder if Steward was the one who convinced them that there's still hope for a better future, or atleast had a big part in their decision. I wonder if TTE is going to end with their sacrifice or not. If they're even going to show the eruption at the end or just show the war and the aftermath. (if this is a wall text i'm very sorry)

A bit unrelated, I once made designs for skykids to make into models for 3D animation.

The idea is to make modular models for me to customise into different characters.

The base would have been the classic moth. With the body gender neutral and neither thick or thin.
Then have variants like slender, muscular, thick, and small (aka chibi)
There was also a concept for older looking skykids (aka teenagers) with the bodies more masculine or feminine looking.

It is a fun idea and one I still want to try out sometime. But naturally life and stuff get in the way, lol.

Either way, I firmly believe that skykids deserve more body diversity.

And keep in mind that these crystals must be hexagonal shapes in order to create this light phenomena. The lights pull this off consistently even in dim locations like GW, VoK and Eden. So I'd say, Sky's atmosphere is so thick that if a human would to enter it, they could have seizures or suffer lung damages.

Is it me or I can't help but feel that the Home Island once had plans to be more of the "nest" for skykids.
More on that, when I joined in 2020, the island was smaller and simpler. Then as the years went on, the island slowly grew larger.
It was interesting to see small parts of the island almost rise out of the water in a way.

But when the Aviary village and nests were added. The island stopped evolving.
It no longer changes. Or more like it lags behind in the events.

Who still remembers the dragon events at Home Island for the New years event?
Who misses the time when you could place props down in more places? Even if it would mess with the spirits hanging around in specific spots?

It would be nice if the island could have been a hub that can be made private for your skykid to customise as their nest/home.
Perhaps with the candle, they can have a home mode that disables the server synchronisation with other players and you can place your props anywhere. Leaving that mode removes the props, but you can see other players again.

(and yes, I suggested something like this in the #live-feedback before. also yes, this is a headcanon)

Eden has always been a realm left empty in terms of lore.
We know it is ground 0 for the calamity, we know it is/was the peak of ancestor civilisation, we know that the elder of that realm is gone (or not in a form we recognise), and we don't truly know what happened to the children of the light or what our skykids are meant to do about it.

To put it simply, no. The Eden Ruler is more of a tragic figure. They thought they were helping out the sky kingdom, but it failed.

See, that last one is a very fun question! During the concept planning and the first few builds of Eden, there was a huge section that would be a boss-fight-esque standoff with the King! Unfortunately it was scrapped, but I do hope we see it somewhere again in the future

They did get as far as making an entire model and attack sequence for it, but I believe that's hacked content so I can't share it here

1. Isle elder : Wisdom... it's interesting how suitable this is for him... from the beginning to the ending
   Isle elder is the oldest between elders... he's the one that look the most like a teacher ...for skykids...and even to birds and light creatures...that wisdom he showed at the beginning teaching our skykids ... controlling the moved of birds...and till the end refusing the injustice towards light creatures and standing against it...he used that wisdom to stay with the right side!
2. Daylight elder (Empathy) : just like how daylight realm taught us how to deal with light creatures with kindness...daylight elder had the empathy...that appeared with the way he was treating butterflies...he was clearly kind with them... which match what they described him with

Forest elder (Resilience) : Hidden Forest... living in a place where the rain takes your light...the big trees and forest might lead you to be lost in it...the difficult terrain of some areas... beside all of that...there was the forest people resilience... their capability of making forest a good place to live and they created a lifestyle to survive there... hunting, umbrellas, building...and more important living in groups together...all of that helped them to stay strong in forest...they used the boats to travel and made elevators too...forest elder too helped her people to keep living their life in that wide forest 🌳

   You look at the spirits to find that appearing at them... people who are proud to show their realm to their kids... others enjoying what they have... people who are training on their performance to achieve that perfection...kids and adults working for their dreams...and others who already reached it and performed it at the great Colosseum
   And elders, the two heroes of valley ... always competing eachother for see who would be the one who perform greater than the other... that's the realm who fullfil...Excellence!

Valley has the greatest architecture and technology for it... that's a good reason for giving them the "excellence"

I think another interpretation of the Valley of Triumph is balance. The whole realm is composed of two different routes, balanced together. The houses on the mountain are balanced, and the athletic nature of the Valley Elders require spiritual, physical, and mental balance.

   Hundreds of years later... meeting us ... skykids who have the power of light...she put that faith in us so we save her realm... saving eden who fell in darkness...and we fulfilled what she trust us to do

He was loved by light creatures...he loved them too ...loved the light he saw in his journey too ...he grew up to be something great....this big realms ruler...but something happened that he made a big mistake....that led his realm to the darkness...and the price he decided to pay...his life...as a sacrifice
We were born in this big realms...for one purpose... saving them and sacrificing ourselves to save those realms...but as ultimate gift...we get reborn stronger every time...we don't know the reason... maybe it was eden ruler last wish... maybe his kind heart was still alive even after all of what happened...that kid who's still holding his mother's cape...his heart...deep inside...wanted something else...

Long story short:
The Eden Elder is an enigmatic figure in Sky lore who is the late ruler of the kingdom. They used to be an orphaned child called the Dawn Ember who was sent into the Cave of Prophecy trials and somehow managed to finish all of them, thus crowning them as the new ruler of the kingdom.
The Eden Elder revolutionized the kingdom via the introduction of diamond technologies (possibly with the aid of the Forest Elder). However, the process of manufacturing diamonds came at the cost of nature with light creatures getting exploited and pollution being rampant (especially on the Wastelands).
Eventually a civil war broke out supposedly due to the impacts of the diamonds.

Also the Eden Diamond (made to harvest light from the light beacon back to Orbit) shattered and killed every Elder and also shot out shards that caused disaster.

The Eden Elder's final cause of death is currently unknown. It's said they sacrificed their light to birth a new generation of skykids (according to the skyfest gallery).

There's always a lot to track in a server as big as this one, and requiring spoiler tags for content that's already freely available in the game is going to be confusing for people, impossible to enforce, and cause arguments in the process. Its… not really about the spoilers, atleast not only about them.
Its about the overall flood of people that will come here and make any deeper philosophical lore debate buried in chat fast. There are days where lorechat talks about only one thing for whole day, picking up various details and analyzing them like some detectives. That magic will disappear once you get “Who is Resh?” “What is darkstone?” etc asked between it ten times.
I dont think slow mode would preventthis much either as it applies only on individual and not whole group, you can time regulate separate people but not whole chat if 20 of them types something at the same time. plus longer slowmode would kill my lore photo collections that often take multiple messages because its more than 10 photos but thats just personal thing

I definitely sympathize with that. Each of our channels have times when things move very fast—like #questions-and-help and #seasons-events-chat or #sky-fanart-sketches-and-art-chat or #screenshots-and-videos or...basically all of them.

There are some things that a huge Discord server is great for, but slow conversation in a small group is something that, unfortunately, simply isn't feasible at this scale. And for various reasons, we wouldn't be able to require all Two Embers talk stay contained to only a thread or only a particular channel.

But looking back on remembrance specifically, there were multiple instances of the guards treating some of the people badly (wether this be due to war or the class thing or both, I’m not sure) Which could be kind of alluding to class existing or there being a class that is unliked.

I only have one hope for the movie right now and it’s that they don’t make RESH completely evil. I feel like the entirety of sky is incredibly nuanced, so I hope the movie continues this theme that not everything is black and white.

The kingdom is like this due to the fact they are going through the beginnings Of an apocalypse. Even the dark creatures aren’t entirely evil, and we don’t really know if the darkness is fully evil itself or if it’s just acting out of nature due to being made out of the suffering of light creatures.

Yeah that’s really well phrased. I do think they once mentioned not having an antihero in the story, and I don’t believe Resh will be portrayed as pure evil at the end.

Oh definitely! I don’t want em being a saint either! From the lore in the past, RESH was one of the leading factors (as well as the older elders) in why the world became the way it is.

Notice in game: there's lots of corrupted ancients all lining up to go into the temple.. The temples which we know were used to harvest light..

I think: at least in the wasteland temple, they were telling people "come in, we'll save your memories and save you!" only they were actually saving their memories with the vain hope they could bring those people back, or at least a form with their memories, and harvested their light. With what we know about the king, as dark as that theory is, it's not super outrageous
