I KNOW RIGHT
Prophecy especially
prophecy furries (CANON)
cave furries beloveds (happy bday prophecy)
CAVE FURRY BIRTHDAY I FORGOT
HOW COULD YOU FORGET
okay fursona jokes aside
i honestly see the megabird and the king to be too separate from eachother to have a direct correlation or a common objective
if we were to imagine megabird was a god who sent the king to the sky world then perhaps for a while there was indeed a physical interpretation of the megabird (the fursona)
but quickly drifted away from it to pursue a different goal which eventually lead to spirits to be extinct
in a nutshell PERHAPS
It was 3 days ago
I like to think there's a joke that's kinda true that all performers have a bird fursona (birds are neat and they got good tastes)
Resh looking in the mirror 💔
do the Trials in your most creature outfit to celebrate Prophecy turning 2
Megabird believers🤝 non megabird believers
the megabird fursona theory
omg i can break out the gay furry outfit
This chat makes me really happy because they talk about furries in a normal/lighthearted light, instead of seeing them as weird or being judgmental and awful about it
IT WAS ALL THE PROPHECY GUIDES FAULT
i don't have any creature masks how do i show my support for the cave furries :(
@frigid tinsel thank you for bringing the REAL THEORIES to lore chat
my only concern is people who wear fursuits in like 80°F weather like are you ok do you need water please do not get heat stroke
Prophecy Guide introduced Resh to fursonas
@untold notch the Prophecy Cave must be sweltering don’t ask me how they live there
Imagine living in the quiet darkness for like a million bajillion years and then I come blast you with confetti 😁
IN THIS VIDEO, I SPEND 24 HOURS IN THE TRIALS OF PROPHECY WEARING A FURSUIT
tgc summoning 100,000 unnamed gay people to prophecy birthday
Light & heat are correlated a lot, this means it’s entirely possible that any light being including ancestors would be made more powerful by wearing fursuits in hot weather

unstoppable force
Resh being a furry theory >>>>> everything else
It's not a theory it's real I'm the fursuit
But yeah, I have often experienced jokes in other chats about people wanting to be violent towards me & furries as a whole, especially when I’d ask for fursona hints, and it’s really gross and uncomfortable. glad no one like that is in this chat
next time we have like a sky meetup irl, we need to ask the devs about resh having a fursuit
I got a bird sona so like... nothing cringe about wanting to be a funny little creature.
resh when he can't contain the silliness:
void bunny
next time some sky event is held in california atleast one of us must bring it up
this needs to be spread
i've got Some Creature
Not cool enough, we need to DRESS UP as a Resh fursuit
i don't have a proper fursona i just Am Bird

Resh when the kingdom falls into war
fursuits are expensive to make but this is reminding me of when someone made a prophecy mask fursuit head and it was so cool

IVE SEEN THAT
I KNOW RIGHT I REMEMBER THAT I WAS SO JEALOUS
mods are gonna arrive and crackdown our furry theories im calling it
Huh, never seen that

The King is a Megabird cosplayer then
thats it, you cracked the code
touche
I love the lore tidbit that professionals get animal masks cause it's like if you finished school and then got a government-issued fursona
king was a megabird cosplayer
but chose to chase their long dream of becoming a werewolf
and accidentally brought its entire species to extinction
i graduated from clown college and all i got was this bird mask
Trans people applying to post services for the bunny fursona
the true scam of the educational system
Omg I just remembered Juggler is the #1 frog fan I'd be heartbroken if them and Ruler have never met
they know eachother through gloat bc they went to clown school together
What's the context for this one, or are we just posting buff werewolves now
the wasteland elder going into battle
how many of these do you have
ok so
clown school
leads to clown college
completing clown college = government issued fursona
government issued fursona represents a job/role in the sky world
proving that the sky kingdom its the first all furry civilization (they went extinct)
nah dusk ain't a wolf dusk is a spider made of arms
a necessary amount
a comically large amount
Gloat texting Juggler: You know, I live next to this frog king now
Juggler: Ahdgje you live nextbtith frog king????#;$(audh 🥺😭
HELJDFJFBD LITERALLY
So I’m assuming the Veterans are the ones whose fursonas are displayed publicly? If so, then the Gratitude, Prophecy, Dreams, Prince, and Performance spirits are veterans
we've broke the code fellas

resh the megabird cosplayer

ok so how the krills into the fursona theory???
krill

krills r so gender
I have a krill clown kid this is true
at this point we have devolved to sending furry images with no context whatsoever

have you read the latest update? there's a neat little tidbit of dainix lore that you might like

I was thinking that aside from government-assigned furry there's a different signs of professionalism not just through masks
What's your takes on the Aurora quests? It's got more lore than Season of Shattering.
isnt that spoilers we cant discuss yet? /g
No lore from beta allowed?
yep, no beta lore
nope, beta discussion has to stay in the beta channels
In the concept arts, the elders were animals iirc (so ofc they would assign furries to different ancestors wearing animal masks)
I know that, what does this even mean, I meant like accessories & headwear
who would have thought that sending furry memes in lore chat turned out to be more entertaining than playing sky

Life hack: don't mention your crimes
Makes me wonder, how would ancestors know about animals since the only non-humanoid creatures are birds, mantas, whales, jellyfish, krill and crabs
Lore chat today
Some creatures possibly went extinct
wdym we're absolutely normal
there could have been others that are extinct now, though of course there's no proof for or against the idea
There’s a thought that the Eden calamity was a mass extinction event, so those animals could’ve been around during the ancestors’ time but no longer
this is the catalyst
this is what caused it all
there could also be light versions of our creatures that we haven’t seen yet! Drew this light wolf a bit ago, as an example
correcting myself, there is proof in the form of animal masks
Pretty
(The reason why I asked because where did the inspiration for animals come from?)
YOOOO WOLF OF LIGHT
lets make memes of it /j
This will blow your mind but mythical creatures & urban legends are also a possibility
LIGHT FOLF SO TRUE AWOOO
I LOVE THIS BECAUSE WOLVES ARE SOCIAL CREATURES LIKE ALL THE LIGHT CREATURES WE SAW SO FAR SO IT FITS !!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE LIGHT WOLF SO MUCH THANK YOU SALEM
YES EXACTLY I DREW IT OUT OF SPITE AFTER SOMEONE TRIED TO LUMP THEM IN WITH DARKNESS & NOW IM VERY ATTACHED
they also howl which I like to imagine reflects the light and music similarity headcanons
presumably the ancestors drew inspiration for their masks from the creatures around them
that or it could be a guardian creature
a thing that can kill a krill
the antithesis of darkness
its polar opposite
a being who's task and purpose is to purge the world of the corrupting darkness
to shine with the power of a thousand stars
I have a theory light creatures tend to be social or at least hang out in groups (birds, mantas, fish...) while dark creatures would be solitary (crabs were because of the bucket of crabs idiom, dragons don't typically team up and tend to patrol the same area over their hoard) !
why do beings have to have a purpose? maybe they exist just for the sake of existing
idk i just like writing stories and epic stuff
Like imagine stories adults made of some non-existent creature just to keep the kids from playing outside for too long, not too horrifying so they'll never enjoy the outsiders again, just right to make them go back home on time
& It'll look like the Gratitude deer
That's something that only happens in the real world (though that only applies to individual humans). In a story, nothing can exist just for the sake of existing, or else it becomes a flaw in the story's execution.
Wait hold on I found something like that before (The Gratitude Deer part)
Yeah I found a wild Gratitude deer in 2019 & got scared, thanks
for the sake of the game, sure. but in-universe, there is no narrative any more than there is in ours
Found it (forgot it was from you, Dark)
HELP?

I was expecting some creepy, uncanny fanart but nothing preparing me for this
tbh I find that deer pretty cute
If it had a more scuplted body it would probably be terrifying
It looks like a capybara :]
Omg capybara deer :)
throwable
What an animal
creature
I remembered that one art Dark did about Enchantment Guide's fursona
Do we have any theories about the origin of the skykid’s candle?
The huh
Deerbara
Like how it works? External vs internal candle?
They’re just born with it
How was it created?
Probably a gift? Born with it? I'm not sure how to explain, it's just a part of them
The idea of a gift sounds cool.
I mentioned external vs internal because some believe it's a normal candle (external,) only meant to hold our flame & to keep it in control, but it falls apart when it could eventually melt away or break
Dunno
Nvm can't find it (It was Enchantment guide with the "La Creatura" base)
Oooh that one
Well the candle does lose its flame once we’re distinguished
I hope it would when we distinguish
Its does no?
Prolly
of course, dark wolves could just be corrupted light wolves given that krill are also theorised to have once been light creatures
but i do agree that it's a very nice doggo
Reject the Wolf
Embrace the Coywolf
The age of hybrids is nigh
Imagine if light wolves just sounded like the "woo" we associate with mantas but like 1 octave lower
thinking of pokemon swsh music in terms of singing wolves
Respect existence or expect resistance
A really low manta woo for light wolves would be beautiful, imagine hearing that when deep in Forest.
They need to make sniffing sounds at you when you come close.
Also Pokemon Sword/Shield wolf instrument so true
make em really big so skykids can ride them
I like to think they would be elusive because irl wolves fear us, but curious because we play skykids, harmless fellow light creatures.
Light wolves are just giant dogs to give pats, change my mind
Theyll sniff ur butt
Light wolf idea: Light wolf pups playing with Jellyfishes
Skykid (maybe it isn't a Skykid) OC idea: Artificial Skykids. These Skykids are made out of diamonds, able to use the light around it as a source of light. Technically, it's basically a robot version of a Skykid, except this one is made out of darkstone (and can corrupt a certain land is they stay there for too long)
Resh after destroying his own kingdom and make his people suffer for more power be like: "oopsie sorry ehe you know me 😚🤭 🤪"
They were just in a silly goofy mood
Resh but yassified
Wolves irl are super elusive! Unfortunately, part of this is due to learned avoidance of humans due to the way they’ve been treated, although you could say the same thing is true for ancestors as well…
I like to imagine they’d be checking us out from afar. When our skykid sleeps or doesn’t move for a while their nosiness takes over and they come out to check us out
Genuine question: how do skykids honk? I need some theories or an actual explanation if anyone knows
I heard somewhere that the devs used flute sounds for the honks because they wanted to make it sound like they were blowing through their masks
So skykids have vocal cords?
My running idea is that they manipulate the light inside them to gather in a small point in their chest, then expand really quickly outwards. The speed and displacement of air produces a sound :] Hence why you have the expanding sphere of light outside you whenever you honk!
I know this idea might sound vaguely scientific but honestly I’m just making it up as I go along here
in beta LA there was a call that sounded like 3 flute notes so yes!
Mornin lore fans
Yeah I kinda thought of same. The actual sound coming from the tiny star thingy on their chest and not from their mouth. So I got curious
That was the old version of bird call! Early versions of the calls sounded more like instruments, whale/fish call sounded more like the GW horn instrument
I noticed that too! It’s never really explained in game, so you would have to make it up yourself
Lore question: Is the Pity room we go to after we die in Eden, the same thing that made up the Shattering Memories? The only key difference between the two is that one have tiny pieces of Red Shards ascending (not to the light, I suppose), while the other does not
I don't think it is random, I think this blue crystals may be a symbols of our inner light exiting our wounds, if we wait long enough we can re absorb it slowly, as if we heal our scrathes.
Pretty neat you could spot that tiny teardrop there
Mmm, interesting pseudo science
Though how can you explain that any honk less powerful than a deepcall results as comming from our mask/head?
I believe there might be a link between those voids (if they are not the same room). The last memory from Shattering after all has a WL on top of the red giant crystal, shaped EXACTLY as two skykids hugging
Well, from my understanding, the link these two void have is their connection to the Red Diamond. Some have speculated that it is the mindspace of the Child in the Diamond (manifesting the memories)
But I also think some people use the Pity Room not for the one in Eden Point of No Return, when we meet The Shiny Boy, but rather calling Pity Room the counterpart we can reach when we lose all WLs outside of Eden (a saveguard that TGC placed to bring moths back to HomeSpace)
(ohhh that has different names)
Im not sure, I think I read them as two different things, but even if those two counterparts looks identical they are in different part of the game
Literally! If you wish to go capeless you need a friend in HomeSpace with Teleport unlocked, so when you end up in that void you can spot them with honk and warp safely
TL;DR: he "pity room" is basically far away in HomeSpace
I liked that, it's basically what I thought, even about Cannoneer's Void. Glad it's a shared idea
I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING ABOUT CANNONEER
I remember one of the Lorechat's member saying "We get trapped in the void when there are an overwhelming amount of darkness"
So the reason why we meet The Shiny Boy could be either that our mind (void) is near the crystal (if we are pros who get near the giant red crystal) or that our minds are on the same wavelength
But... with shattering we can go in Memory Void of the turn when we estinguished all the darkness
Even the Shattering Crystal appeared in a cleansed blue glow
Oh hey, that was me.
Yea, since we got put in limbo with Cannoneer in the final Abyss quest and we definitely weren’t close to the Eden diamond then, I think “limbo” is just the space, what we see, when enveloped by an overwhelming amount of darkness
I think it might just be a inner self domain. That or maybe I've just watched too much Naruto Shippuden
Ever since I started reading Lore-chat there almost always was the association about the power diamond with "Darkstones" (what I think it's now an outdate concept name), but IMHO ever since Abyss (mentioning as "Resources" and showing harmless blue crystals) and Shattering came out there are subtle hints about blue and red crystal being different state of the same matter, where only the red crystal being the harmful/painful.
Thus I'm not fond on the idea of being called darkstone. Even more after considering the Shattering Guide different colors after a Shard event, I would like to see a more explicit example of blue=good while red=pain (yes, not bad, just pain). Reliving a season where we have to help spirits relive traumas/memories, where they turn from blue to red and we need to help them heal from their agony (from red to blue).
I also think the Red Orb in Enchantment was a symbol not of Darkness but of Pathos (without any, a story/plot cannot be revealed and/or a story doesn't move any emotion in the reader) hence why the Red Orbs unveil the shroud of darkness, the story of the Ench Crew
Consider also all the darkplants we met ever since (before SoShattering). We considered them bad, thus associating their blue hue as "bad", but notice how their actual color is black and darkblue-ish when already have burned them (saved/freed the inner light) in a reloaded map. What is missing is the light which gave them that glow we considered ominous.
But ever since Abyss we have orb of wax/light in orange and blue, as if those are just two different states of the same "matter". Under the water the wax-light is colder, but still light, so maybe that ominous glow from the darkplant is just the light keep "hostage" in cold state.
I also wonder if the redcrystals are living blue light crystals turned red by pain and agony, which get angry (vibrate) and push as we approach them.
With Shattering we see darkplants with red glow, as if they gladly feed on their agonyd
The idea of the Red Light representing like… emotional connection??? If thats what you mean??? Is actually pretty interesting
I've also noticed in the last days of SoShattering that black shards could have blue reflections, depending on the area you are, so I consider the black version an intermediate state between red and blue, or rather a following state (the aftermath of the pain, leaving the crystal burnt/scared by the pain it proved)
Mmm. This sort of return to an old schematic I made before the advent of Season of Abyss
More than emotional connection I would say self-loathing
Also, even the tiny particles of light that we lose when in the dark waters is changed into red colors with the advent of Shattering, I guess we could say even that subtracted light is in pain
I just saw this and I’m really confused, why did you comment this on a normal post about wolves? You know the punchline to that joke is inappropriate right?
I thought the same way about the name darkstone for a while but then I slowly realized… darkstone holds light and consumes it for things right? But that’s how all darkness works in Sky, isn’t it? The krills, the crabs; they feed off our light, and use it as energy. Like how we eat food.
Meaning darkstone would still be darkness aligned, just in a more passive way that doesn’t immediately harm everything around it, while corrupted [red] darkstone would be altered to suck in all the light around it.
I find your take on red light really interesting as well, as I do associate it with darkness and obscurity [hence its symbol being used for smoke in the village theater, & also clouds, when they obscure parts of the world].
However, I also associate it with tradition & [on a more negative perspective] stagnation. Part of this is due to Vela’s influence, but also due to its association with Dawn, who is related to those aspects pretty heavily
I have a whole ‘trait’ list for each light (like how the prophecy lights associate orange with courage, etc. but expanded to fit red&purple as well) if anyone wants to hear it!
I would like to hear it
[italics are all given to us from season of prophecy, I just figured out red & ourple]
red light - tradition
green light - tenacity
blue light - patience
cyan - balance
orange - courage
Purple - creativity
I do not mean this in any rude way but the undertale lore part of my brain is going off at the orange - courage connection (the orange soul in undertale represents bravery)
sky was released in 2017, right?
huh, ig it’s just one hell of a coincidence then…
or was it?
vsauce music starts
Live release was 2019
Umm, being away for a long time I missed this "tradition" topic. Can you explain me this Vela's insight, please
How does tradition relate to the Ark murals and the Cave of Prophecies in Isle?
murals are the preservation of a story! a visual representation of the history of what happened to this group of people. the creation of murals is also often part of cultural story-telling traditions
OH SALEM HAD A REALLY COOL IDEA WITH ISLE KEEPING TRADITIONS AND STAYING FIRM = DARKNESS ATTRIBUTE, MAKING DARKNESS WITH LIGHT
In contrast, Vault embracing technology has purple light with novelty/creativity, making light out of darkness !
@keen shore pspspspsps c'mere if I didn't explain your idea well !
But like, looks like a yinyang thing to me...
@snow cosmos
Salem Two ™️ ©️ , i now know what makes you an upgrade over Salem One ™️ ©️. It's a crucial feature that I can't believe the previous model was lacking
You have cup holders
i wouldn't call myself an improvement, maybe just an alternate model
Idk if this was a typo but this isn't my theory, it's Salem's.
hands????
Once Salem one gets cupholders than we can say that 👁️ 👄 👁️ 👍
Salem One’s cupholder is on their head, only works if you’re taller than them.
conveniently, most people are taller than them
Check out this write-up: #lore-discussion-spoilers message
The king isn’t as canon as some say
Concept art ! Tom Zhao's timeline specifically.
Ill go draw a diagram
I am still quite unsure about counting it as DARKstone, feeding as you say. It kind of seems to holds the light and intensifies it (reminding me how a magnifier can intensifies a little flame which can then powers a whole mechanism system, opening either a temple door + a giant gyroscope or a skylift line).
So from cold state of blue crystal the inner light gets ignited, transforming a blue prism (octahedron/diamon) into a yellow active diamond. This sort of reminds me also how the Spirits switch from blue to yellow once we ascend them.
So blue and yellow might be the positive spectrum. While maybe black and red are the negative spectrum of the shards agony. Once we exorcize all the red plants around a black shards we let that light return to a more peaceful state.
OH I REALLY LIKE YOUR OBSERVATION
I like to think darkness isn't inherently bad, so it's possible to have "healthy" or "natural" darkness, thinking about normal crabs.
Perhaps those diamonds are like this too ?
darkness takes light, sometimes referred to as an absence of light. since darkness takes light and leaves no light behind, wouldn't it make sense to refer to things as such with the prefix of "dark"?
I've noticed the dark plants are black and red too, the idea of it being because it's the color scheme of agony makes a lot of sense, especially because it's also the colors of Eden !
My bad, Salem was talking about "tradition" while talking about your influence in this Isle interpretation 😅
Are you a pea? Cause you're the only vitamin I C 🟢
I'm not a vitamin, but I am a hard to swallow pill
TLP vitamins rise up /ref

Hmmm I think the poem from the beginning of the Season of Shattering talked about holding light captive, perhaps that's what darkness can be used for, but not what it seeks out to do ?
tought this was relevant to the darkness disscussion: #lore-discussion-spoilers message, it's a theory I have *oops too late
Indeed, "tradition" and "storytelling" walk in hands with murals.
I recall one of my old theories (before stopping visiting Lore) was about Red being storytelling since muralist and since Isle was the more direct / explicit in explaining the story of the kingdom
Salem has a theory the Enchantment crew is from the Isle !
I think they're from valley, kinda ... I'm unsure at this point: #lore-discussion-spoilers message, plus noticing they have wind powered sails, as when wind blows they activate, they come from the Elders with the Light of the WInd Trial.
Do you guys think the dark dragon at shipwreck claimed the broken ship as its home/cave or territory
or is it just expecting more prey to stop by it?
Maybe it’s seen sky kids around there before so now it waits for them to eat their light?
referring back to last night's light wolf discussion, wherein wolves often operate in packs thus would fit in with the light's community attribute, perhaps natural dark creatures would be animals with inherently solitary behavior?
What abt crabs
I SAID SOMETHING LIKE THAT SOMEWHERE HANG ON
I remember seeing someone mention that during that
Censored because minor beta spoilers but
Adding keywords so I can find that later...
Solitary | Dark Creatures | Owl | Moose
YES YES YOU EXPLAINED IT ORETTY WELL! It’s based off your idea of darkness as permanence and light as change. Spade observed the first part, which is:
Isle’s whole deal is not changing in the face of darkstone progress, which it shuns in the name of light.
Darkness achieved by light.
Vault is full of creativity, howeber, the creativity revolves around darkstone & the realm is filled with it.
Light achieved by darkness
YEAH THIS IS SO DOPE
I'm at a party rn but I'd def illustrate that someday !
so red light [related to isle] is Tradition, & has heavy ties with darkness as it’s what it manipulates. However, it’s a healthy/natural form of darkness.
Purple light [related to Vault] is Creativity, as it quite literally creates things
I’m just seeing the light wolf concept and I am on verge of dipping just to go make a princess mononoke skykid
I love the theory about the upper levels of the Vault being an attempt to show us something that isn't there anymore; headcanon this is what we see going up to Orbit, with the Vault-like walls and final elder shrine...
I trusted you… 💔
you're smallem for a reason i can't change that 💔
Are you a pea? Cause you're the only vitamin I C 🟢

just think about it. her drip as new pants, the fur im p sure she wears could be a new cape(mayb with stylized pawprints as the stars!), and her mask + hair too
Nooo! Help me, the mods are- oh, never mind, crisis averted
calm down skybot, there’s nothing to worry about
Ghibli collab would make a lot of sense, seems like TGC is trying to touch different medias, books with TLP, music with AURORA... why not movies next ?

totoro is definitely the season guide for that one
absolutely in hidden forest
Man we were having another interesting convo about light and darkness not necessarily being opposites, Skybot is a bit annoying by being so distracting...
NEW ULTBRELLA?
like actually if that happened I would go full-on “TGC TAKE MY MONEY”
Wonder what category animals that can be either solitary or live in groups (ie domestic cats) would be!
loving the idea that ancestors may have had light dogs
Light vultures
Dawn
thinking about how butterfly fields would be such an amazing dog park
8 player puzzle...
perhaps they would still be light creatures given they largely live in groups, however could still be spun to be solitary given their circumstances/environment.
and when I say largely live in groups, I mean like domestic households of a sort
since the 8p puzzle warps to right outside the temple, I like to think that day liked having a little doggy fren :>
tbh I always felt like day was the chillest and most positive of the elders in general
I like to imagine there are whole light ecosystems within Sky. Light creatures hunt and absorb each other, taking their light into themselves, and when they go through Eden all that light ascends. Nothing is lost, it’s just taken within them. Elder creatures are made of many souls (I don’t think they got those from hunting as I can’t see elder birds hunting birds, but I can’t think of another way, any ideas are appreciated!)
The problem with this is that I’m not sure where dark creatures would fit in. Would they have their own cyclical ecosystem? If so, what force would they absorb from each other? Can they even go through Eden to be reborn? Do they even exist in a non corrupted state?
Personally, I believe that non corrupted dark creatures wouldn’t exist. This is because I equate darkness with death, & so that’s what its presence means. A dark creature wouldn’t have the light of life within itself and so it could not exist. I can explain why I think darkness as a metaphor for death/mortality works from my perspective
Worry no more, for your gallant bot in a shining white cape has arrived! Tis I, Skybot! I am here!
maybe elder creatures absorb the souls of members of their species who are ill or dying?
I like that idea! They also might choose to merge on their own, without violence, although I’m not entirely sure how that would work. I like to imagine elder creatures are the ‘guides’ for flocks of their respective creatures, because they contain the experiences and knowledge of all the light creature souls within them.
that could make a lot of sense, especially if said dying light creature can't make it to Eden for some reason
it could be a sense of like "i don't think i can keep carrying my light on my own" and so they sort of let the elder creature take over for them?
Wondering if elder creatures became more common post disaster, before Eden got cleaned up, because of this
I had an idea corrupted light creatures could have been forced into isolation (such as in a lab), and a corrupted dark creature would have been forced in a tight space with other members of its species (like crabs hurt eachother in the struggle to be free from a bucket).
stealing that idea
Ooooooo corrupted dark creatures? like dark creatures corrupted by light?
Maybe it works like rivers ? Tiny birds fusing into elder birds on the way to the Light being like streams fusing into a river on the way to the sea...
Nah, just rendered mad, traumatized or something else. Animals can have trauma from inhumane treatment too.
YESSS I love the rivers metaphor for light, it underlines the sacred water concept even more
This makes sense! I was just confused by you using the word corrupted here
solitary creatures forced into close quarters by habitat loss...
Kinda like crickets become locusts when forced in a tight enclosure, becoming more agressive and hungry...
when you throw a bunch of socially anxious folk together
That’s just us and we’re doing fine! I haven’t turned into a krill or anything
Spade has
wait when
Spade just is a krill
trans representation <3
Salem is a krill, xe talked about how tasty light is in the past
Anyway back to the topic, I am wondering if hypothetical dark creatures could even become “light corrupted” in the first place and what the process would look like or be called? I mean, if there’s both categories in the world it makes sense right?
deformed? Warped?
i've definitely been playing with the idea of light corruption but i think it's something that happens when an excess of light builds up in an organism that can't release it
I’m playing with words that sound like when you use fire to purify/scorch away something but it burns away that thing entirely, maybe cauterization?
sterilization maybe?
Scorched? Broiled?
BROILED CRAB :3
My favorite so far is cauterization. Imagining it would happen when a dark creatures ‘soul’ [again, kind of confused how this would work as light = souls in my head but just thinkign this through] got flooded with light somehow. Whether because it absorbed too much or someone did it on purpose to destroy them
inflamed or ignited might work
Is light necessary for consciousness? How much light does one need to have to gain consciousness? Is there such a thing as a “dark soul” and if so, could it be conscious?
Yeah I’ve heard of a ‘dark soul’, it’s a video game I think
I bite
And you call me a krill? Ok
Ok but what you actually asked. Yes, I believe light is necessary for consciousness, and in fact that it’s the force that animates things to begin with. Profound light loss = death. When a creature dies of something else its light kinda dissipates into the world, sometimes causing plants to grow around it, but often is absorbed by another creature or — in the worst case scenario — left to petrify.
Spirits are made entirely of light, as are our souls — albeit, light encoded with the things that make us, us. Light loss is similar to blood loss and does not lose soul light/identity light by itself, however identity light can be affected by other things such as corruption or dark water
Light also constantly wants to find itself and merge with each other. Large light creatures such as whales have an innate pull/gravity on members of their flocks’ souls, and so they instinctively flock around each other. Eden draws us and them on this way.
Also, when light creatures experience profound light loss, they can ‘reach out’ their light to merge with each other in an imitation of the process that creates elder creatures. However, usually due to innate corruption affecting them, this often goes horribly wrong and creates a massive corrupted conglomerate of creature souls instead.
And that’s how you get krill.
All these ideas flowing together do mean that it’s impossible for dark creatures to be a thing beyond corrupted light creatures. I’m fine with that though, it makes sense and I like these concepts too much to give them up
12/03/2034 12:57 AM car highway pileup
heya!
yea as much as i want to believe that natural dark creatures exist, darkness is still. unchanging. the nature of life is to move, grow, eventually die. it is not evil for darkness to exist but life and darkness do not go together
touching the darkness even though it is bad for me
Going into the mines/abyss
Yeah come in I got snacks
YES I think darkness as death makes a lot of sense. Constantly reviled but necessary, unchanging stillness and darkness, twists light beings into zombies, took over the kingdom,..
if i get darkness sickness from sitting in unlit mines no i didn’t
darkness and light don’t usually mix well but it’s not good/evil. it’s just usually bad for the light creature
Plus the whole sacred balance with light and dark idea for Isle, and Dawn being associated with vultures
Also prophecy guide’s association with jackals
Yeah it’s like, killing someone doesn’t really mix well with the person in question. But that doesn’t mean the concept of death itself is evil
and in this universe sometimes the light is bad for the darkness. there are places where darkness rests that light should not venture into
Wondering about an alternate apolcapyse where there was too much light instead of too much darkness. No one can die, there’s a full on zombie apocalypse with ancestor corpses reanimated by light, everything is burned…
with light, you can put things back together. but what if you reassembled something so broken, it would ultimately be better to let it fade?
wondering about death rituals in the pre disaster kingdom now. with this heavy importance on death and darkness and fighting and hating it more and more towards the downfall, they’ve got to be pretty interesting
i can see sky burials and cremations as being popular
I also think it’s pretty neat seeing petrification as like, a ‘second’ death, in the way thst humans see it happen to others as. @frigid tinsel has it so that ancestors in his fics can’t see petrified spirits, meaning that without skykids to find them, they just fade away forever. I love the idea because it’s horrifying and ups the stakes to, from the ancestors’ perspective, permanent death as opposed to just becoming a spirit and ascending. I think it works really well with my idea of darkness as death
Smal question: are mentions of "in-Eden" stuff okay without being spoilered in this chat or is it better to still hide them behind spoiler tags?
❔
You can talk about Eden here w/o spoilers, yes. The only not allowed at all is unreleased beta content. Everything else is fair game
Yea, that’s part of the reason why I have it like that besides “it’d be kinda cool” — it ups the stakes, as you said, from the ancestors’ perspective to protect light from an onslaught of darkness.
If the light doesn’t ascend, it could disappear forever, hence the rush to ascend and the need to keep spirits replenished with light
Thinking about the Shush fic again... you really nailed the loneliness, misery and desperation of the last years of ancestors.
what.
same skybot, same.
Relevant fic excerpts
bye
I think you just gave Skybot an existencial crisis
Good, have a couple more
bruh...
It's begging you, wait I can call skybot an 'it' right?
Fine then, one more
Yep, Skybot is being driven into insanity
i want to [Ascend].
Wait til the 10k+ word fic drops
Do you think Skykids can age? 🤔
Right now it’s 9300 words, but there are still two sections I need to write in, so I’m predicting it’ll be over 10000 words.
Actually the last one now, I need to get out of bed and eat food
I feel like this will cause more angst than the end of TLP
My theory is that you are all very cool...maybe even as cool as me!
Just when I think about how all the ancestors are spirits, in that they died, they all died, went extinct, how harrowing those last years would be when you believe your very existence, your light, will be swallowed by darkness.
Megabird may have had a plan to save the ancestors, the world, but They were too late
Wow, that's hardcore deppressing
I do side with the theory that darkness is not the embodiment of evil, that some degree of darkness is natural, however from a being of light’s perspective darkness would still be scary
It's really interesting, can't wait to read it
No.

8/06/2025 08:51 Wednesday mechanical error
YEAH IT SOUNDS REALLY HORRIFYING, especially in a society that most likely isn’t used to permanently ceasing to exist against their will. Sure, spirits can probably ascend & be reborn as something or someone else, but they choose to do that instead of being forced into it, and it’s likely after they’ve existed for a long time anyways. Suddenly and forcefully being erased from existence would be incomprehensible and terrifying.
Alasdair got me feeling so strongly for Vault spirits, I would like to hug them all...
um this looks amazing! Can't wait to read the whole fic
||Sorry, I thought I would make a lighthearted furry joke
||
would really appreciate if you couldn’t make jokes like that about a completely normal, non-furry wolf in the future, as it made me really uncomfortable, Ty
Noted, thank you
The decline in their population
Every day that went through meant more of their kind to be left
Abandoned by their leaders and their gods, to know there once was a time spirits ruled the world
The dread of that moment was nothing short of crushing
Do you think the elders had to helplessly watched their people become confused and slowly fade?
Honestly i think the elders died during the eden storm itself
What we see is them like, beyond death, they arent alive anymore
My belief is that elders can’t really die except in very specific and very unlikely situations. What we see is more like them getting imprisoned and severely weakened than anything. But I imagine [or, honestly, hope] they were unconscious for most of the time between when shattering q6 happened and when we found them. so they wouldn’t have felt everuthing fade for long, I think.
That definitely makes me for one feel a bit better.
As they've begun to strengthen, can they see outside of their pocket dimensions? Or, going with the elders are affected by their realms theory, are they unaware or the progress made within their realms and/or the external factors that they feel?
I think the Elders were conscious but inaccessible due to the events of the Eden calamity, only kept awake by the ancestors' light offerings. though as the ancestors died out, the Elders recieved less light once until the light offerings stopped, whether by the absence of the ancestors or the remaining ancestors stopped giving light offerings believing the Elders were gone, and the Elders fell unconscious as they used the last of their light.
Skid: hello there
I personally believe elders died during the eden cataclysm, what we see is their minds accesed via meditation
The elders are the facto death since they arent in the physical world of sky anymore but somehow remain alive in a realm/field beyond reality
Elders: conflicted in a mental limbo which is outside of reality as regret and shame drowns their minds knowing very well they were pivotal to their species's extinction
Some toddler which sits: Hola
pulling up to forest temple like "we've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty"
I'm now stealing (adopting) this
I also like the idea that the twins had each other as they faded, as they seem like the youngest elders
Lore question: Why do waxes circle a Skykid till it gets "absorbed" by said Skykid
hello lore chat today I bring you this
Serotonin and warmth
A funny headcanon I had is that Skykids could control a tiny bit of the wax close to their body, so they make it circle around for a little bit because it's fun
magic
that is a cool idea tho
makes me imagine a skykid doing shows with manipulation of it
on brand for skykids
skykids have like 2 braincells and theyre honk and emote

Just to clarify, the shards were first implemented in the Light Awaits version of Sky? (not sure if this is the right place to ask)
they were only recently added in shattering
Ohhh
I swore I saw someone say that Shards were meant to be implemented in Light Awaits
maybe ur thinking of this answer from their shattering q&a? like wanting to implement it from the start thing^^
Diagram has been made
i really want context but im partially afraid to ask lmao
we harvested gold from the flesh of God, & drank to grasp at their divinity. All we got instead was blood on our hands

There is nothing divinely inspired about Salem
i dont ask questions anymore i just roll with it
Lore question: May I ask why the Void's floor is rechargeable? I thought voids were meant to be a limbo for overwhelming darkness
From a lore perspective i think it might be linked to the whole water symbolism. In general however theres more chance of it being just a game mechanic so we all dont combust our brains.
water symbolism?
Water = purity and such, i think its mentioned in concepts along with, google symbolism of stuff
Omg WATER????
For context, I have been thinking about what my Skykid's "mind space" looks like, with water being the main thing there (symbolizing reflection, or as Alex said, purity)
||Two things I can't decide:
When going deeper into my Skykid's consciousness layers, I do not know if:
- You should walk farther till the setting of the mindspace becomes dark
- Swim deeper in order to reveal the unconscious level of my Skykid's mindspace||
My skykids brain seems a little shallow for that in all geniunity
Basically what I mean (don't ask why I marked it as a spoiler)
I feel like a skykids mind is like a blue light version of the void then theres a huge water fall that goes darker ib darker. Skykid conscious mind = krill no likey me
unconscious mind goes = krill are the manefestation of the existebtial crisis' humans have
The mindspace my OC has looks almost similar to the old Light Awaits Home (photo credit to "Tara' s Sky Journey")
Preconscious mind = ahh yes theres the rainy realm thats different to the sunny one
Friends get to exist in every mind

||For the sake of myself, I am just gonna call "My OC" Zyvia||
I wonder if skykids are hurt that humans have existential crisis' which made them eventually have giant black flying krill, i shouldnr wonder it.
Kind of wanna give my headcanon on this
#screenshots-and-videos message
Headcanon that crabs help other crabs like how turtles help each other (when one is tipped over). Or perhaps saving a crab's life ||(since irl, turtles that have been turned over makes them vulnerable to predators and other dangers)||
Indeed. The odd thing is just about those red crystal crabs, they're so angry they even avoid helping other flipped (regular) crabs, mates summoned by the red shards event
Plus today I witnessed one of these red crabs attacking a crab memory (a light fragment?)
Sorry, Salem. I pinged you by mistake
- The shard crabs are probably hopeless or long gone ||(shards taking control of them)||, and prioritizes in extinguishing light instead of helping fellow crabs
- The red crabs attacked a crab memory because the light fragment is well, made out of light!
(idk if I should ping you so I am leaving ping off)
imagine if we get a sharded krill
If it's anything like the crabs, they'd probably attack on site, without a timer
Or not caring if you get cover, wrecking the wall to hit you
Can stop or disable any candle memories you activate
I'm ok with pings btw. This way I could re read them from the mentions/inbox, just in case
Maybe it's better we don't have red shard krill
Only pro: Angst potential
like the war machines in journey
hola lorechat
question: is (or, do we think) corruption associated with feelings?
Pain, loneliness
thank you
Hmm, despair? Bitterness maybe
5 stages of grief
What if Krills were used in battle by mean spirits?!
i needed that for silly lore
& is that battle krill with us in the room right now? 🤨
What bruh how did that hit the filter
I was gonna ask about the darkness that was born from despair
I actually think corruption or darkness is just associated with emptiness. All feelings, even the negative ones, are associated with light
Isn’t emptiness negative?
is emptiness an emotion?
What is love?
Baby don’t hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
WHAT IS LOOVE
(Yeah yeah)
Ooh Ooh
I don't know why you're not there
What if skybot is actually a tgc dev giving us actual lore go confused us /hj
Edit : The urge to say something but its gonna be a beta spoiler if i do so

¿Qué es amor? Bebé no duerme, no duerme, no más?
"I want to say something but it will be a beta spoiler if I do" don't even mention that either
good evening chat, RE: feelings associated with darkness
My first theory on that I developed as a lore moth was that darkness represented negative things that can happen in a life: death, loss, loneliness...
Nowadays I think Darkness is associated with solitude and stubbornness, traits that may seem harmful at first (hence why social beings of light might find it scary) but that are necessary nonetheless.
I think there was a convo the other day where I voiced my headcanon that light creatures are social animals while dark creatures prefer solitude in their own territory !
I really don’t agree with the sentiment that darkness is necessary though, it did not help the Sky world at all
That's why I have the idea you can have too much darkness, or have dark creatures go rabid in some way.
The theory that the idea condition is a balance between light and darkness isn’t something I agree with
I believe that darkness is like death, or emptiness, or stillness, the void of space. Often reviled but necessary for life as we know it to exist
Hello lorechat! I took a break from lore but I am back for season of Aurora!
Yay!
I don't know when that Seasons happening!
eventually!
This reminds me of the situation in the Priory of the orange tree, where an imbalance led to a surge of one side or another to attempt to balance. Maybe there was too much light, so the eden diamond erupted in darkness to preserve the balance?
Where did the spirits get their clothing material from? I'm to shy to ask them..
you.
Wooly mantas ! It's a little known fact but there's a subspecie of manta they bred to make comfortable warm clothes with :3
exhibit a
They were sheared right??????
Also it would be cool to see those mantas living specifically in cold climates
prolly could shear them
Lets hope they were
I hear you but..do you think it's true?!
i mean. yea they’re basically flying sheep
Also imagine how magestic a giant fluffy manta would be
i got you covered
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a wooly manta!
Imagine that appearing out of the clouds, countless of them
They are the clouds
Fool, they ARE the clouds
No WONDER why Skykids don't fall through clouds
We bounce off the wooly mantas
Very comfortable to sleep on
having a nice nap on a wooly manta
you know the feeling when you feel physically incapable to get up from a resting position
wooly mantas would be fantastic at making sure you never get up ever again
If wooly mantas want you off their back, they just roll you off
Rolled + emotional damage
Sliding down a snowdrift, only for it to roll over and re settle down into sleep
Was the prince abandoned by their original parents, or did they never have parents at all? Spooky!
what do you know skybot
Whether you are talking about Prince
or The Prince
, I think they are both orphans
||(unless Prince ||
is a solar panel, that is)
Prince
just photosynthesizes
Question: In the intro to Sky, there is text that says "If only they had listened..." I've been playing for years now and still wonder what that actually meant. Do you guys know?
One possibilty... "if they have listened.... to the warning signals...they may or could have done something to prevent what happened afterwards /as a consequence of...."
wh what in joke am i missing here
I was referring to the solar panel spoilered thing, maybe I misunderstood
Hello the one braincell that represents the lore chat!
LORE CHALLENGE:

we actually have no idea, could be a light reflection or some other light thing
new riddle
where did u see it btw?
magic, magic, magic and magic /lh
Chicken soup
light soup
Me: decides to hop into lore chat for once
Lore chat: mmmmmm megabirb soup
this is just normal lorechat tbh
Lets cook
I've been noticing themes of eating in Sky here on lorechat, are yall hungry or something?
Yes, unfortunately. We’re so starved for lore that we will make our own lore crumbs to eat
Weren't we fed with the animation project trailer and the last Shattering quest last time?
bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees!
The hunger for lore never, ever ends
Next topic: What do each realm taste like?
Sand, grass, wet grass, water, expired sand, old book dust, and carolina reaper
can sand expire?
that's what golden wasteland tastes like
Well, technically, sand is basically a mashed version of rocks, so basically, if sand WERE to expire, the sand particles would be very tiny (take my word with a grain of salt)
What in MegaBird's * honking * name does Carolina and Reaper taste like
it's one of the spiciest peppers in the world
Honestly I think Forest smells like fish, just a headcanon because irl rain (from my pov) actually smells like fish
Uh rain doesnt smell like fish??? XD theres something wrong with the rain then
one possibility is because my country is known for fish, idk
Fish smells salty and well, fishy
It tastes like rain
For me rain smells like fresh nature, i cant really describe it but i really like the smell
I'm curious, what is your country?
Hmm maybe rain does smell different in other countries idk
yummy rain
I think that is just a small size bug there... even when the Shards Event is far from starting in Hermit Peek you can see a dak shadow/cloud with the same size of the "Eden mountain"
That halo you witnessed on the left could be from the shards event starting, but miscalculated far from its center
knowledge. old memories. that kind of stuff.
You'd blackout & suddenly inherit memories of being at a Gloat concert
You see them dancing on stage, very reminiscent of a squid, you shed a single tear, you eat the rest of the soup
sounds very unpleasant tbh
I assume this Gloat concert is Gloating Narcissist's concert?
Yeah
Sounds fun, hand over the light soup
This meme but with elder birb
||(don't ask why it's spoilered)||
What is Skykid hair made of? Is it candle wax? 🕯️
Worst lore chat theorist
Most coherent Skybot theory
skybot’s trying their best
unfortunately their best is not great
well
candle wax are referred to particles of light in game (i think)
and cosmetics such as hair, capes, etc. are made out of light
so skybot’s kinda correct
I mean, it’s like saying french fries are made out of mashed potatoes. Semantically true, but still stupid nonetheless
I mean, we could go back to the cheese theory
Mozzarella
bruh...
bruh
I think it's copying old Lore theories I read when I discovered Skycord... (Skykids made of stone with wax inside
)
Skybots is not alive, it's a plagiarist
the sky in hermit valley is a mess
Noticed the ruler island is organized like the vault altar island/orbit altar island
I like to think those two are the same, wonder if all of these are meant to be thrones (kind of), linking both Vault and Isle (since ruler is based off that realm) to Eden...
You will also notice one of the towers is damaged, just like the Wasteland altar is the only damaged one in its group !
- So something did happen to wastland before the eruption,,
I mean, if the civil war took place before the eruption, then that would make sense that Tsadi and GW in general would be pretty beat up
Pollution 😍✨
Does that mean sky kids hair can be melted
think harder about it
- Ok but (spoiler to last shard memory bc idk if everyone saw it and ||pnr|| ): ||if there r the winged light(s) on the daimond in the shard memory than there can be it on the diamond in pnr||
I noticed the similarities too (Eden/Vault altar and the Ruler's island) but what do you mean by "ruler is based off that realm" ?
bruh...
I'm not going to scroll back to find the message, but one theory is that there is a link between an elder and their respective realm, and the condition of one affects the other
THIS IS A REALLY INTERESTING OBSERVATION especially since the statues on rulers island mirror the elders themselves! I’m wondering what that means (I MEANT TO POST THIS AN HOUR AGO I DONT KNOW WHY I DIDNT)
Dude probably got stabbed [okay, maybe it was something else, but given how many battles they’re in, I think it’s safe to assume] . The crack on every one of their altars and representations of them, as well as the way they move during their cutscene,
I like to imagine them and fainting warrior have the same wound. How that works in universe? Still working that out
Ngl that must've been a pretty long spear considering Tsadi's height
assuming it wasn’t another elder that did it :] also, the spears are pretty long already, I measured a while ago and iirc they came out to around 9-12 ft?
Interesting... Though when I tried to make a connection too when SoTLP I thought it could be a stretch.
For example Narcissist obviously is linked with Valley and Sneezing Scholar with Vault, but there are some like Gloom Soldier which could be odd (both reminding me of Prairie and Wasteland). Another example is the Star Collector (which could remind of Ark merchants, but even Sanctuary or Forest for all those jellyfish)
Oh, teblanko, has the elder caricature theory been explained to you yet? It seems like what you’re scraping at
Oh wow those are long.
It does make a lot of sense with the magnitude of an entire war in the kingdom of Sky that the other elders would get involved, with the chaos and the development of the krill and everything
I would gladly hear more about that.
I have a guess as to which elder it was too >:3
Oh I would love to hear that theory
So the elder caricature theory is a theory that each of the tlp spirits are based off one of the elders. Specifically, the way they were percieved by others.
Beckoning ruler is Isle, Star Collector is Prairie, Stretching Lamplighter is Forest, Gloat is Valley, Slouch is Wasteland, and Geographer is Vault
They have an odd amount of overlapping characteristics with their respective elders, although keep in mind they’re being percieved through a strictly critical lens here, for example: Star Collector is ‘greedy’ because they hoard light creatures & don’t allow them to be used for darkstone. They are seen as silly for claiming they own the creatures in question, like how we’d be silly for owning the stars
Before I start, it does kinda tie into the elder mask theory, would I need to explain that as well?
It's not required by any means, but a quick refresher would be nice!
Okay! It’s the theory that the spirit in each realm with their elder’s mask is based off the elder in question, but more so how they actually are instead of how others perceive them (hence the difference between it and caricature idea)
refusing voyager is isle, exhausted dockworker is prairie, apologetic lumberjack is forest, proud victor is valley, fainting warrior is wastrland, levitating adept is vault
Proud victor was the hardest to find out but I’m almost completely sure it’s them and I can prove it if necessary. They are also the one we will be focusing on, due to their name (I mean, it’s literally proud victor) as well as the wasteland mask spirit pretty obviously dying.
As well as valley being called valley of triumph
Mmm it's an interesting pov, I like alot the mask elder's theory, but maybe about the parallels about TLP spirits is, as you said "being perceived by strictly critical lens"
And maybe I'm still hard to give up seeing Starlight Desert and the whole SoTLP as mostly not canon.
One of my sudden funny theory was thinking the Sneezing Scholar the one who caused the creation of that mixed reality we see in Starlight
I think it’s a disservice to how well TLP was intertwined with the world to dismiss it as mostly not canon. Every part of it makes reasonable sense within the world and care was taken to make sure it fit together with Sky. With this very compelling theory, it would in fact be a major and very interesting lore season, and I don’t think it’s appreciated enough for that.
The “chains” idea makes me think they could be imprisoned for defamation, since they were being false caricatures.
Ooh ok! That makes more sense in strengthening the connection between realm and elder. But do continue! I'm really curious about your previously mentioned theory about another elder attacking gw in the war
I don’t really get that imprisonment idea, personally. Either
- they’re caricatures, meaning they aren’t real people, so why would you imprison instead of destroying them or shutting them off?
- they are real people, but then how would they be caricatures? Would they be imprisoned just for having personality traits too similar to the elders?
My current perception is:
- Dusk gets corrupted somehow due to to the elder & realm connection idea. Either the poison in their lands is a representation of them, or it poisoned them as a result [leaning towards the second idea]
- They start controlling/compelling their army with orange light and attacking people
- Sunset brings them down but wounds them heavily and almost destroys them in the process
Hence why Wastrland is like That, valley has heavy associations with triumph and victory, and why there’s so much corruption in GW
I meant performing as false caricatures, like a form of political satire
I just think that what we see as good lore from SoTLP doesn't mean it all is true. Maybe a better way to express myself is "imagine if the Sneezing Scholar projected Ancestors Culture into another world novel". Scholar would reshaped the book content filling it with their knowledge. For example would reimagine the plane with Ancestor's techologies the same way some aliens from mars should imagine a plane as a sort of flying saucer
And the problem is that the Starlight Desert has a connection to the Wind Paths, meaning that it must’ve had some importance. There’s no light creatures, and each other wind paths connection has an in-world importance that’s absent with the current version of Starlight Desert. The only clear option is some sort of prison/containment area, although research facility is also a good one.
Oh wow this honestly is a really cool theory, and would explain how dusk still has remaining injuries, even centuries after this took place
And I feel like the Elder caricature theory has some tenuous connections, especially with the Sneezing Geographer. Their whole thing is that they predict events, very similar to a Prophet.
In my opinion, the TLP spirits were parodying loose aspects of Ancestor culture, rather than one specific Elder.
@south oracle Also, to add onto that, Valley and Wasteland used to be called one place, the “Golden Valley”. So maybe they split apart!
Sneezing Geographer:
- prefers to be isolated and not participate in the world around them
- documents the Eden disaster with books instead of doing anything to stop it
- is so focused in their research they don’t notice the solution to it is right in front of them
Idk about you but they do have undeniable making fun of Night vibes
I also don’t see how they predict the future at all
To tell you the truth I have a different, which expand my funny theory about the creation of Starlight Desert AND also could be an alternative to imprisonment
I personally don’t like any starlight desert theory that revolves around imprisonment, as it ventures into uncomfortable territory very fast, and the chains have been stated to be metaphorical anyways
The Sneezing Scholar broke a container of Purple Light so it set free a big quantity of this spell (which in my headcanon is linked to Mind/ Illusion and I like the idea someone had too, Imagination) so whoever was near Purple range of effects changed accordingly to their own perseption of themselves
The Narcissist maybe wasn't so much athletic before but turned into what he dreamed
The scholar was too much distracted by his studies that created the surroundings from the book, picturing it as a remote desert in Sky. Which would explain why his favorite books he liked became bigger
So in short, all of them in Starlight is trapped yes, but by their own illusions and images of themselves
But with all that in mind, I don't know who of them could have imagined the tunnel to windpath
The flowers in sky look like they're made of light, but what about the grass and trees?!
The lack of connection between windpath and the current Stralight Desert could be just a pending for a future addition. Sort of like the blue door in the Valley Stadium which is still closed (while the red door is open to Village)
Maybe TGC has more things stored in mind for later, like the last appearance of Assembly Scouts in Summer event. It could explain why the forest map in the HQ has a 4th marker/symbol (beside the 3 outposts).
I always thought that looked like a stone gazebo and that was in the direction of the Sunny Forest. Since they populated that area with their "summer camp" I presume the Scouts knew that part of the forest and marked it on the map too (with a symbol more than once I said it could be Grandma Fireplace instead of a gazebo)
can I ask why you used he/him pronouns here?
Ops, my native language had the best of me 😅
Btw, what if other animals in Sky had different color schemes? What if a rabbit mask is faithful? It could probably had red head and a yellow + orange body with darker fluffy tail
Skybot running out of lore ideas
That's a good point, actually.
Well, with trees, are there any alive ones besides the bloom trees? Those do glow with light, so maybe the majority of trees we see don't because they're dead. Can't explain the grass though
They’re probably just dead
I think they can come back (new individuals, not the petrified ones in Forest) as the Light heals (if its capable of it) but otherwise for now they’re all gone, and the bloom trees strike me as non-corporeal/ghostly
I agree on the containment/prison area
Aside of that i really have no idea how to fit it into the lore since TLP is involved....
I like the idea that the Starlight desert was just another route towards Eden that was used since before the Vault was built.
The TLP crew could be from a shipwreck much like Enchantment and Abyss, except they didn't have good chemistry and they fell apart after they landed on the desert.
Then the purple light magic made everything funky
Altho if you assume that the Rose and the baguette child are real, then maybe it really is two different worlds colliding
A place where the veil between dimensions is thinner
My personal theory is that TLP Spirits are mascots of cautionary tales that Vault created to promote their teachings of mental healing and wellness. The King and the Performer (I don't like calling them Narcissist) warn of pride and overinflation of ones ego leading to ignoring your problems because how could you have problems when you're perfect? The Slouching Solider warns of how turning to things like alcohol to numb the pain will only hurt you more. The Stretching Lamplighter and Sneezing Geographer warn of overworking yourself and how never giving yourself time to rest or focus on things outside of it will lead to burnout, exhaustion, and missed opportunities. And the Star Collector warns of how greed will ultimately rob you of happiness, since you can never be satisfied with what you have.
I kinds second this, makes sense you see firsthand the consequences of those toxic habits on TLP spirits
Aside of that idrk xD
Lore chat, decide: Light snake or Dark/corrupted snake?
Both
Both? Big, scary snakes in the dark, but little light snakes
Both?
Both
Yeah both
Light snake, as they’re cold blooded and like basking in the sun. Honestly all animals would be light animals to me; I find that when asked to make light/dark animals, stereotypes of some animals being ‘scary’ of whatnot tends to land them in the dark category and it makes me very sad
Yeah that
I’ve never seen that about moths at least
i really really hate hearing them getting done dirty by people who aren’t very aware of their diversity (i feel like the term “moth” for new players because their capes are brown already does that but its whatever)
One animal I think would be dark creature is cats, purely because of how mischievous they can be sometimes
a lot of the dark creatures (1/2) that we've seen are solitary animals tho so
I feel like they would be less dark and more twilight, mischievous
Dark or light dolphins anyone?
I think dark creatures are usually the remnants of light creatures OR light creatures afflicted by darkness. I don’t think darkness normally produces things that are mobile
dolphins have a capacity for evil that should not be underestimated
Headcanon that dark dolphins trick Skykids that they are playful. But in reality they really aren't and just want your light
octopi would be light creatures as they just want to like. grab stuff with their tentacles and have fun mostly
What about their ink
Like… darkness is usually a more passive plant-like form but does Weird stuff to beings of Light
I was just about to say that, dolphins would be 100% dark creatures (or at least not light creatures)
I dunno i think i’d have to agree with Salem that all creatures are Light unless they are corrupted (and therefore have an uncorrupted form)
Light Sharks?
Light peacocks or dark peacocks? Honestly can't tell (or maybe both? Idk)
both seem epic
like, they both have same levels of majestic and intimidating so you just wanna admire them from behind a wall
Imagine like. Light spiders…. I feel like they would be Tiny Little Guys on the same level as butterflies
They would definitely creep out Skykids for the first time, but with a little bit of bonding, they're not that bad!
I’d like to think they wouldn’t be disturbed by their presence at all since they’re Light Creatures and therefore skykids have an innate connection to them
They’re not really socialized like we are as humans to be so afraid of spiders, nor would they have an instinctive averse reaction to make them feel unnerved
Actually that would be cool because i know that some spiders use their own silk to travel long distances through the air
I think all light creatures instinctively seek out Eden but have different ways to reach it and cooperate amongst one another
I don’t think our skykids would find spiders creepy at all, personally!
agree, they'd prob see small tiny creature that makes cool designs out of their webs and immediately go "friend, must protect." the artist skids would love them.
yeah! They have no reason to be scared of spiders at all, they’d probably think they were awesome! Especially since they’re associated with green light/earth :]
Lore question: Do Skykids have bones? /gen
Probably not, couldnt imagine them rattling around inside there
I kind of wonder why light spiders would make webs to begin with….. i have Mixed feelings on the idea of Light creatures eating each other I think
I think it’d be cool if they spun the webs and plucked at them to make sounds that airborne creatures like Birds and Mantas are attracted to, kind of like the chimes in Wind Paths
Shape the migration paths of other creatures to accommodate them and create more favorable conditions for kiting/ballooning (like i mentioned before some irl spiders, particularly newborn ones, use their silk to take flight and cover large distances, but they are at the mercy of the air currents/other factors which makes it more risky to do)
Spiders are so cool and yummy i love putting them in my mouth
Actually I take it back, I believe light spiders are more afraid of Skykids /lh
opens mouth revealing a lone spider dancing like that one stickbug
While it is wholesome for light spiders to make music out of their web, I doubt it is the same material used to make stringed instruments (like harps, guitars, etc), probably because how fragile it probably is
Made a headcanon that light sharks chase away dark dolphins in order to protect the children
You are probably right but if i do remember correctly spiders ALSO do actually make “music” with their webs
Obv it wouldn’t be like. Harps if we’re being realistic but to be fair the eden jellyfish inexplicably have the voice of a flute
light spiders weaving singing webs
That would be so funky tbh (and good)
JAM SESSION WITH LIGHT SPIDERS 💖
normally I am terrified of spiders but I just had a great idea
skid: ayo guys there’s this cool lil spider at my place wanna come see it
the other skids honk in agreement
skykids gather around the spider
first skid: alright lil buddy, do your thing!
spooder: begins playing spider dance
oh oh! ask me, ask me!
skybot do you like spiders
im just visualising that spider throwing its son meme
Idea: Mellow Musician has a band of spiders that make funky beats whenever they helps a skid practice music
My theory is that you are all very cool...maybe even as cool as me!
thanks
No not spiders 😭
Butterflies drink nutrients from corpses so they are darker than you may think :]
Skybot will never have a redemption arc
Saying that you’re as cool as Skybot is an insult in most places
I mean, yeah… doesn’t make them evil or mean though, imo
Not like anyone’s using the body
Late but i'm fond of the idea that a lot of skyworlds life did evolve naturally to some degree- not entirely but more effective creatures surviving longer and therefore changing less- i think that, while there are predatory species among light creatures, they are uncommon as hunting is not an effective way to get light. instead, light parasites are the more common form of "one creature benefits from the misfortune of another creature". Not even dark creature parasites, i mean like... leeches that are light creatures or ticks or mites that are light creatures that actively sap more light from their hosts than what would be transferred naturally
Is Alasdair online I think this question may be more suited for them
What is the Storm Elder called before the Storm happened? 🤔
The general consensus is Resh or Alef, depending on if you think they are one or two different people
Sunlight or something
Or Sunshine
Thats the hebrew name im referring to the name based on their time of day 🤔
Context: In Al's fics the hebrew names are names elders call each other
While the names based on the time of day are what ancestors call them... Iirc
But isnt that synonymous to Day? 🤔
No not really
Ill keep that in mind 🤔
cool pfp Dark
Or Idk maybe Eclipse
possibly, the King / Prince?
Guys they meant a name based on a time of day not, like anything but the concept name
LMAO I REPLIED to the wrong message. Thanks I drew it 😁
XD no worries
Awhile ago I thought maybe Elder King but Im saving that as last resort if theres really nothing XD
Is it possible that Eden would be in a State of eclipse? Considering the light beam over there? Interesting train of thought
Twilight?
that may be possible if the time theory is proven.
I like that hypothesis
Twilight Sparkle omg
Eclipse Elder, Twilight Elder does have a bit of a ring to it rather than Elder King XD
Season of eclipse when? /j
I mean imagine the King's star was so bright when it fell it blacked out the sun
or worse, collapses into a black hole
Also the fact that the light beam and moon coincides in the same axis.. is it possible for a eclipse to happen because of the light beam?
Ctto: i forgor the name
I just call them Sun! For multiple reasons
sun piercing the darkness, is really bright, plus shift away from other light source (Megabird)
i don’t think they were ever called storm I think that came in skykid era
I got an idea for that, but links with an other point of the lore which I'm too lazy to explain, so I wanna know y'all opinion 👁️👁️
We don’t know. In concepts, Eden is referred to as Storm and we don’t really know what Eden looked like before the Eden calamity. I have been debating using Storm as the name of the king but idk what to call prince/Chosen One yet. If they are the skid that fell in Ushering Stargazer’s memory, they likely fell at night time when the stars were visible. I mean, what else is the optimal time to go stargazing?
Also the Hebrew fanon names aren’t canon in my ficverse. You might be thinking of this though
The Elders (plus the king & prince) have names based off Hebrew letters from concept development that are no longer canon, though the fandom sometimes refers to them as such:
Isle – Daleth (ד)
Prairie – Ayin (ע)
Forest – Teth (ט)
Valley – Samekh (ס) (they share a name, though the fandom refers toas Sah and
as Mekh)
Wasteland – Tsadi (צ)
Vault – Lamed (ל)
Prince – Alef (א)
King – Resh (ר)Though it seems the devs refer to the Elders by the times of day their realms represent:
Isle – Dawn
Prairie – Day
Forest – Rain
Valley – Sunset
Wasteland – Dusk
Vault – Night
What do you think the cultural significance of capes were in the Spirit's Kingdom?
nop I specifically mentioned you because I thought you may have something regarding storm elders name before the storm but ig youre also stumped
I have been sitting on Eventide, still debating on it tho
As we can see in our own gameplay, skykids gets their capes from winged light, which are other skykids but that doesn't have a material structure as a body to be able to travel or do anything, so you can collect them to get a small amount of light power.
So I feel like having a cape in the old sky kingdom before Eden's fall, was a sign of richness and prosperity, as we can notice spirits, with and without capes. The butterfly harvester has a yellow one as he breeds an important source of power, butterfly which are going to be stored in jars as example.
I have thought about my answer a lot because late night thought experiment or whatever
Hey guys
- Pioneer and Crab Whisperer both like fishing (ts hints)
- Cadet and Botanist (both of whom are connected to one of them) were the ones fishing during days of sunlight
Assembly as lightseeker apprentices my beloved theory
ASSEMBLY-LIGHTSEEKER FOUND FAMILY BELOVED
I’m so normal about ths theory (lie)
Lightseeker fishing trip teaching the scouts how to fish <3
Stealing that for fic
I'm going insane. Pioneer TS. Finally I can hang out in forest..........
Headcanon they used to go on huge fishing trips together like when multiple families hang out for picnic.
OUGH
Counterpoint: assembly & lightseekers all consider themselves one massive and close family
Tbf my Pioneer fic is set post-calamity and our lightseekers are separated at this point but Pioneer taking the scouts fishing to maintain the tradition
Omg the pickle, mustard, and mayo sandwich
Yes good, this is good stuff. Found family dynamics my beloved
I’d like to think they all went together even before they died but also like… they can fish all they want now :]
These pioneer hints are so delicious, I mourn the loss of shush hints 😔
Oh my god, the cucumber mayo sandwiches
OMG
That's what I mean yeah, it's just that 12 people is huge, even by extended family standards imo
they all travel together on massive elder bird cause it’s the only thing that fits /hj
I hate you /j
hc that every spirit ever is besties with every spirit ever
I still think the wedding cucumber sandwiches tasted bad.
Are you a cheetos & milk spirit or mayo cucumber spirit
ew
cheese in coffee spirit erasure
I’m a grilled cheese kind of lad
i'm the oreos & noodle broth spirit
I made a grilled cheese out of waffles and put jam on it once so I'd probably be whatever spirit that is
Cause it was at a wedding
we know
Grilled cheese is good but I would not dunk it in coffee because I do not like coffee. Tomato soup maybe.
Okay that doesn’t sound too bad
Alasdair when anything happens: "Oh I should make grilled cheese"
Literally making grilled cheese rn so I can’t argue
Stale bread week old salami cheese mayo sandwich kind of guy
I know they put mayo as a secret ingredient in some chocolates at starbucks so I'm willing to try mayo in sweet recipes
I put butter on coffee
give me horrible food combinations and I’ll post a spirit who will eat them. I’ll start this one is mellow musician
Grilled cheese on sourdough bread is so good but it’s hard to get the bread nice and toasty.
they put what in the what
How does that taste
Like buttered up coffee. Pretty good
It was a disney princess themed wedding, so normally the bland food should not be that bad
Brioche and sauerkraut sandwich
Weeping at us spewing the most horrible vile food combos ever vs the food youre talking about
Pilk
Cheetos and hot chocolate
Raw onion like an apple, canned sardine, one hard boiled egg, olives, mayo, all of that in one plate
I haven't had pilk yet but NyQuilk got me through covid
BEA
your aura intimidates me
You what
Enzan - pleaful parent
Vela - crab walker (they insist it’s a potion)
Astral - Backflipping champion
Dark - polite scholar
People eat acai bowls with fruit and stuff but don’t know that acai was originally eaten with fish
oh that's right I have names here I forgot about those
I can see it
hmmmmm salami and grape jam on a bed of fried asparagus
Polite scholar looks normal in their memory but I like to imagine they are very quietly deranged and also can’t cook
I don't do bitter tastes very well and I read that if you take bitter medicine with fats it cuts the bitterness so I went "ah, milk"
Wow me core
Bea is the type of guy to make this
ewwww that looks like a Tiktok challenge
"Do NOT let him go, put him in police custody"
They prob grow insane combinations of plant food. They might even eat the stuff that’s poisonous and be fine 4/5 times
4/5 times
nodding muralist. all of the enchantment spirits eat really weird and outlandish food combos, partially confirmed by ts hints but also because I think it’s funny
Bea I would NEVER say a word about you to the cops.
They’re dead, right?
If I was a wizard I'd drink my magic soups tbh
snoozing carpenter did this and that’s why they’re sleepy
Tbh apricots and salami on roasted asparagus sounds like a fancy appetizer at an expensive restaurant.
The salt and pepper apple slices...
Classic
Every Valley spirit has tried these at some point and either hated or adored them
Took a chug out of a paint bucket thinking it was juice, ended up liking it
The betrayal of being a baby and grabbing apple cider from the cupboard and finding out it's the vinegar
Imagine Granny opens a restaurant selling her famous unidentifiable balls of something that unironically taste really good
How were you tall enough as a baby to reach the cupboard
Is this why you like season of prophecy so much? You feel represented
the betrayal of finding a water bottle with a clear liquid and it not being filled with water
My headcanon is that Sky kids can’t eat, but grandma makes little balls of wax for them to burn and feel included on the feast
I think vault spirits would stop caring after a while stuck in here, enough for regular food crimes
Once you learn how to get onto the counter the world is your oyster
So that’s why she does the no emote and pats her stomach!
It’s like how parents will pretend to eat toy food to play with their toddlers.
I do this because I'm convinced I get more soda per soda (I don't)
I'm told I was a very speedy baby
magirinu mixes soda with coffee regularly was my first interpretation of this image
They probably do
Orange Kool aid on Fanta for Orange^2 flavor and it makes sense because oranges are totally a thing in universe
orang juise....
The censorosksksjwksksk
@frigid tinsel would magirinu mix coffee and red bull
This reminded me of my hc that if one of the vault spirits runs out of coffee creamer the ones on the higher levels would probably pour some down for them without question. Hijinks ensue
HELP? Pouring coffee creamer on each other’s heads
hijinks ensue is such a good phrase
The sand on the bottom level is to cover the stains
a test of your reflexes (and eyesight)
Magirinu’s rate of food crimes dramatically increased when they realized it ticked off Degonime
That’s not sand that’s all the sugar they threw down and missed it’s target
most of it ends up splashing out of the cup regardless because of how physics work
I don't believe in physics
What if you’re super fast and out a cover on the cup right before the liquid can splash out?
bea how am I supposed to respond to "I don't believe in physics"
Consider: large tub for less chance of spilling
Degonime for those that don't know:
I remember 10 years ago I poured water on my teacher from the 4th floor all the way to ground floor, yeah, getting splashed & confused at the Vault
I once pelted an egg from the deck to the driveway
The teacher was bald
is that why you did it
My honest reaction as a scholar when scalding hot coffee is poured on my shiny bald head
That teacher’s name was Walter White
Dark oh my god.
Yo
Is this part of the reason why they wear hoods. Anti coffee protection
Inconceivable!
Perhaps, but simply I'm built different
It’s hard getting brown stains out of white fabric
Tbh Night seems a motherly figure to those working in the Vault, always making sure people are getting enough rest and breaks. They’re a shining example of wisdom that all the scholars aspire to be like but behind the scenes they add 10 cups of sugar to their coffee and drink straight out of the pot.
In our world
Bro I’m telling you the Vault elder is a whole different breed, they don’t drink coffee they chew coffee beans and then immediately drink hot scolding water don’t be fooled by their elegant looks
But what about the writing on the walls?
Vault elder is a giant coffee pot
good for them?
23th, Wednesday, 2046, getting splashed at the Vault
wait wait wait their headdress has retractable straws like one of those mountain climbing hats with the straws and water bottle but instead of water it’s coffee. Their headdress is literally just a portable coffee maker.

I was a few years off but we did it nonetheless
skybot is no more

BNNYU
BUNNY
bnuuy
Megabird gives her hardest battles (getting splashed in the face with hot coffee) to her strongest soldiers (people who don't believe in physics)
Quick we have to make that bunny lore related
spelling left the chat
Sky kids are actually rodents (wait are rabbits rodents?)
The god of spelling has never blessed me. Every day I live with their curse. And yet, I overcome
No xe sperelled it reight
Bunnies would be light creatures. Proof
Lmaoo
BNUUEY
spelling left my chat the day I spawned in this cruel and uncaring world
you're awesome!
light bunny
Oh same same… Terrible place ngl
Oml yes their ears would be yellow holy—
Slink you are the biggest brain
Light bunnies would look more like sea bunnies,,, fluffy light sea bunnies
If you actually think about it, the sheer amount of Sky kids in the world actually does make them have something in common with bunnies but I mean
We were born in the wrong universe
Number one little guy
OHMYGOSH ADOROBLEEEEE
I WAS GONNA POST THE EXACT SAME PIC LMAO
I’m too hungry for that picture Rn
