Hi hi, i just return to play sky, i went to eden last night with a player i just befriend. And i kinda forget, is our chat visible to friends after we give out all of our wings? I had became a wisp and following random players around in statue area, and i wanna complete eden together with my friend but it seems like she couldn't see my chat. I wonder if this is a bug or it's just the way it is in eden 😅

There's an issue with eden during respawn, or a presumed issue with that. Unless you wait for your friend or all of the players in the final stage where you give light/wings to statues, your chat gets disabled for some reason and you can't join friends with warp due to special flags set for these levels

If you skip ahead and sometimes even if you don't, chat is mysteriously not working. It's annoying and happens often so people bring chat items like the tea shop, movie chairs or branches to sit on and talk. It's only when you fly past the flying spirits that you can by chance reconnect with a friend and hold hands, chat etc

I don't go into Eden without at least 164 WL now. Went in with 174 last time and got everything AND nearly touched the end of the area (personal bestttttt). I also got my torch and Elder mask though, so those things help a lot.

Well, provided it is all charged up when you go into the statue area, it gives you extra protection. It is a shield basically and gives you an extra life/more health until it goes black (it is also useful for krill because it absorbs the krill attack once before needing to be recharged). It is recharged after going completely black via saying hello to whatever Elder you bought it from. I went for Isle Elder because it was the cheaper friendship trees to buy off of and the mask is a medium amount of Eden candles to get. Most people grind for the Forest one though because it looks epic. I personally like my reasonably priced boat mask, lol.

you can calculate how much ac you got, 1 statue is 1/4 of an ac candle and the max is 15.75 ac other than that youd have to go back to pnr (for all i know)

One thing that's nice after doing Eden the first time is that you can interact with Hopeful Steward again, and the hug is unlocked so I now always have someone to hug when I load the game

Heads up: on PS5, do not invite a quest spirit to do/finish dailies then head to Eden- he didn't finish properly. So half the time you try to light someone to help them or do anything else, you will get the spirit icon instead (same button to access them is the same to throw lives at statues, light things, collect things) we had to leave and finish the quest thing to get rid of the follow before trying again. It was... Chaotic is putting it nicely.😂

For those who are stuck in home and only option is to go to Eden over and over again - if seasonal guide appears there, you can teleport to them. But after you teleport home, you might have same issue again. But at least it lets you to go to Isle (and eventually from their camp to place where they currently are) and then you can just continue as a real moth 😄 Just don't close game and don't teleport home, if you are stuck like me

I took advice from different player, but it didn't let friend teleport to me, so I went to Isle from guide who appeared in front of me with new quest and then friend teleported to me and we went to Wind paths from Trials and to Aviary from Wind paths and it was back to normal!

I was able to find someone’s created space thingy and they had the Alice in wonderland door so I went through and sat and went through the cutscene (never been there before not sure if that’s why it worked) and then teleported back to the portal realm and it was working again, not sure if this will be able to help you but that’s what fixed mine!

if you have the chibi mask, you can chibi-fall behind the door to eden on the right side of the structure. the portal is still in there, for whatever reason. going through there and winding up back at the start of eden should let you return to the realm portals or otherwise attempt eden again

hey so if you see the seasonal spirit in the aviary, talk to it and use the teleport option!! it will take you to isle of dawn and you'll be free!! from what i understand, you'll need to have a friend come join you, then when you're near them, use the portal to go home. by that point it should let you return to the aviary, this time with all the portals open per normal - try exiting game & opening again to make sure it doesn't throw u back into eden jail. i just followed all these steps per another user's advice somewhere here and now my game is working so far!!

The locations of the statues haven’t changed and the area changed only slightly, but now you can’t jump below 20 wl, and can only crawl at 10 or less. Also I think you take more damage compared to the versions before

If you want ascended candles and really don’t want to recollect your wings, you can do red shards instead though that will be less candles than Eden

Absolutely, since with that bit, you basically had to sit down even as a chibi when the shard storm is passing over it in order to not get hit.

And even then it wasn't foolproof as well. 😅 Even if it definitely wasn't as bad as the area at the very last brazier.

The game gives you a warning that you're about to go past the point of no return. You cannot accidentally go too far. You have to choose the checkmark to keep going or the X to stop.

Yeah, individually-flying Skykid-friends aren't displaying their names anymore.

Only thing that separate them from plain ones are their customized outer looks, since their silhouettes will look completely different depending on their fit at the time of your checkup on them via friend-constellation table.

Example, I have one that's got AURORA golden wings: I can always recognize them when ascending because their silhouette has those same wings too.

Hi! I have another question, Is there any way to reach orbit without having to go through the whole process? I'm not talking about not losing wings, I mean something like, if you lose all your wings to the krills, do you still reach orbit?

the only ways to reach "orbit" without perishing in the point of no return is:

1. view the season of Aurora concert where there is a segment where you fly through orbit (towards the light), since that vocalist provided the voices for the song heard in that area
2. do the fifth (?) season of bluebird quest, whichever one centers the divining grandparent. it takes you to a copy of the orbit level (with the star path going to the gate) but it is not functionally orbit
3. complete the final season of migration quest which takes you through orbit (going towards the light) like the season of Aurora concert does

but those are all temporary things, and probably not what you're asking. losing your light to krill in any level, including Eden before point of no return, will not get you to orbit. only losing all your light in the point of no return does

If you don't enjoy doing Eden every week, then you don't need to! Eden is a good source for ascended candles, but you can get more than enough AC to advance spirits by completing red shard events regularly. Going through Eden awards you with newly unlocked wing buffs, but you typically don't unlock more wing flaps that regularly. I go to Eden for a new wing flap twice per year.

So just focus on other things in the game that you enjoy more.

I don’t catch many of the red shard events and I do need the AC so I do go to Eden every week. I’ve gotten it down pretty well, but I solo pretty much everything in game. I wish it were more of a game that you could make friends easier. I have a couple of friends that play they just don’t play often.

I’m like a buff butterfly at this point when I comes to sky. So I’ve been playing for a few months now and yes your right in feel as Eden’s been harder. I’ve felt the same lately. I also go every week but I have around 150 wl so it’s okay ish for me. If you want more wl/ wl buff for when you leave orbit/ portal you have to have ascended friendships with the spirits in the constellations. I personally when every new traveling sprit comes acend them bc it’s like 2 candles and then have a new wing buff for the next time I leave Eden. Try a website called sky planner I think it’ll help you a whole lot 🙂

So we give them light because after we die that’s how we get ascended candles. I’m pretty sure it’s like every 4 statues is 1 ascended candle you can get 15.75 candles if all 63 statues have been given winged light.

You give them your wing lights and depending on how many of the statues that you save I think there’s 64 or 65of them you get Eden candles depending on the amount that you save if you get all of them you get like 15.75 candles so yes they’re very important to try to get as many as you can

each statue you give light to will give you 0.25 of an AC when you have reached orbit (or passage as it is now officially called), so all 63 will give you an extra 15.75 to your total, if you didn't spend any on the elder spirits while you were in orbit and you didn't leave with all the expected ac then you need to reach out to support. Also you can only give light to each statue once per week, so if you went this week then you won't get any more unless there were statues that you had missed previously.

You can only get each of the 63 statues (15.75 ac) once a week but you can go as many times as you want/need. Once reset happens you can go again for the ac.

The statues you already gave light to won't let you again in the same week so you have to go further if you do it multiple times.

Wow that is a lot of AC. I only have one tree that’s at 100% and that’s the aisle of dawn so I don’t think I’ll be getting that mask or anything anytime soon. Not enough regular candles to even unlock another permanent WL on some of the trees.

It's definitely hard starting out, but it gets easier!

Candles is about running every day imo. Personally, I grab 15 every day (+ the 4 dailies rn) and I don't buy anything for long stretches. Then I go on a shopping spree during the events (I'm saving for fortune rn. I need all the animal masks)

When you're new, all the old guides have several hearts to buy/get for completing the quests, which gets you lots of hearts in bursts as you buy them.

Otherwise, it's about getting daily lights from friends or making shared spaces that people give you hearts for. My constellations are filled with light buddies I found here and I get a heart about every other day.

I have a group of friends that run eden together on VC and it's a blast and keeps it from getting stale. We drop in on each other and cr all the time. Having friends really helps.

One way would be, to have many friends that you share light in the friend constellations.
This light is used to create hearts.
Another way is, to send a whole heart through the friend constellation (costs 3 normal candles, can be done daily)

And you can earn hearts with your shared spaces or shared memories. When people like your creations, they might send you a heart.

hey, can someone check my work here? logistically, if you know you're making multiple runs, but only your first one will be with a large amount of WL, it makes the most sense to skip early statues to go for the hardest ones, so you can get further on your best attempt due to less lost/returned light, and then clean up the early ones when you come back?

(fwiw i get like, 50-60 WL in orbit last I went through The Eye, and I've ascended some season spirits since then)

I think it mostly comes down to how identifiable the term is. We use sanctuary for sanctuary islands likely because islands is too close to isle. At least to me Eden feels more identifiable, using a biblical name makes me think it’s probably the big one with significance to the journey where “the eye” isn’t as obvious unless you lengthen it to eye of the storm.

I have been lucky, my two daughters started playing and I would spend 6 candles to give them each a heart and they would spend 3 to give a heart back, I also gained some friends while playing (wouldn't often be online together), but I started sending them hearts and some would send back. I would often get 4 hearts a day, also all the hearts from spirits and season guides, it adds up over the years. Now my daughters have stopped playing and I am down to almost one guaranteed heart a day. It is candles I find hard to collect enough of, even when I forge 19 to 20 a day. there are so many items that require candles more than items that use AC or hearts, it is so hard to buy the ones you want, and then an event comes around an new ones are introduced 😿

They all do the same thing, protect against one krill hit or two smaller hits without losing wl (and then needing a recharge at the associated temple or Eden). If you can get the forest one and like it better go for it! The only reason to go for another is if you will be able to afford that one much earlier and want the protections that much sooner

I know not everyone has this, but I have a friend group on another server of about 5-6 people and we run Eden together weekly on a voice call. It's incredibly fun and entertaining as we yell and shout, and when we get to orbit we race! Stand on the first ledge and count down and everything.

It helps break up the monotony, and keeps it entertaining instead of frustrating. It also helps several people who can't fly well get better, or latch on and let those who can fly for them

The last Little Prince quest is in Eden and because it's past the point of no return, I'll do a full Eden run. I have like 35 ascended candles right now. Do you recommend spending them all for wing buffs (before going to Eden) or saving them?

You won't get the buffs until after you have finished Eden and reached Orbit/Passage, so buying them now won't benefit you this time but next. You can always buy them in orbit, and one from the TS tomorrow.

Any you buy before you leave orbit will be given to you after orbit. So you can buy them before you enter or before you leave. You have to leave orbit to claim any wing buffs that you have bought.

You will get 1/4 of an AC per statue you help for a maximum of (63 statues X 0.25) 15.75 AC, and any wing buff you have purchased in game will be given to you when you leave orbit, but you would have to have bought them using AC. See my previous post ☝️ You can also only buy the Elder cosmetics and accessories in orbit

Not all spirits attend the spirit parade in orbit, but you will still receive their wing buff after rebirth. So yes, it is normal.

It's not possible to have 136 wings after Eden. 134 is the current max amount of wing buffs, add one for orbit's winged light, that's a total of 135 (correct me if I'm wrong on those numbers)

And to Lin's message, yes, this was corrected a few updates ago. We've had some new first-time traveling spirits since that update but in my experience they were added to orbit and not forgotten about.

If you’re aiming for all statues 110-120 is about the minimum.

Bring a fire prop if you have one, and place it behind structures when there isn’t a statue to light. Don’t fly. If you’re short beware of wind and if you’re tall put an emote that lets you crouch down on your favourites wheel for when cover gets sparse.
It’s mostly a timing game, and knowing where the nearest place is to get your light back. If you get to the endless rain I believe there’s a trick to honk to get back up faster

Remember also, when you get to areas that are too overwhelming for you, taking your time is absolutely okay to do! There is nothing wrong with taking any of it slow

Dying in Eden is definitely the best way however you could figure it out the hard way

• See which winged lights have you already picked up and subtract them from your total, also subtract one for orbit's wing.

It depends on which section you are in, after the point of no return there are three sections, 1st the rocks come in waves, just wait and there will be a period of no rocks when you can move around before they come again. 2nd area the rock rain follows a red beam of light that you can see on the ground and they move in a loop around areas in that section, watch for the red light and avoid it. 3rd the rock rain is constant and cannot be avoided, just get as far as you can, The more WL you have the further you can get.

The statues you helped will not be available the next time you go in, until reset. If your partner did the back to back at the time specified by Skybot they could do 2 full runs. Otherwise, maybe they went back for the statues they missed the first time
