Else, you´re always reborn with 1 wl, the rest of them being scattered around the game like they were when you first started.

Aviary village becomes more populated. You can have fun hunting down the travelling rock for some extra wax. All spirits show up in their spots in the realms for you to relive them and get the first level of their emote

You don't have to, but it means that you don't have to wait until they appear as a travelling spirit to see them in the realms and unlock the first emote, but you will not get access to the rest of their tree (cosmetics, higher level emote, etc) until they do return. It just gives you something extra to do if you want.

I was wondering, on the way ascending to orbit when you are flying past all the spirits, before you fly with the Sky Kids, will you get the same amount of wax if you are AFK as if you are actively trying to fly close to them? It seems that they only honk out wax when you fly close, so would AFK flying get you close enough to collect the same amount of wax on what ever path it takes?

you dont, sometimes i ignore the spirits when im in a rush and unless you directly fly to them, you will miss most of them there

i have a STORY from eden

i felt like a dad tryna keep his kids from running off it was SO hectic

so for starters - i, an assembly player, was guiding a collection of moths through vault, and managed to get them through it in one piece [ finding the winged lights etc ]

and then we get to eden.

only one moth remains since the rest panicked and went home, right
yeah so then they ran away from me so i had to go after them [ first part with the rocks ] so that they wouldnt lose wl prematurely

yeah so that didnt work and i had to try to get them to grab my hand like 5 minutes later when they made it up

i took the shorter way so i was waiting for them

and then we get to the next section, right

so theres like 5 other players now - literally all moths and butterflies from what i can tell and im the only older player there

after the krill™ absolutely annihilated the other group i managed to yoink the moth and clip through a wall to fly above to get to the end quicker

i drop them off, and then boom the krill gets the other group again so i have to launch myself back into the line of fire to go get them

like two minutes later i manage to grab both of them, fly back, wall clip, go up and get em into the temple

and then lo and behold theres another moth that i watch get dive-bombed by a krill so i had to go back out a third time to go get the little bugger

and this absolute gremlin kept running out into the rocks and losing wl even after i went to em the first time to restore their light

so im panicking behind a pillar, and they crawl back to me, so i have to restore their light a second time and, mind you, the krill is still there looking for us so i have to awkwardly scuttle up the cliff with the moth still in hand while the timer is running out because i had to go get them again and it spotted us

then i finally got everyone into the temple, miraculously without losing any of my own wl, somehow

literally i was in the temple with the other group and i saw the eye icon pop up outside and im like
“ OH MY GOD THE MOTH IS OUTSIDE ”

A bit late, but you’ll get all your wing buffs going through the rebirth door, even if you avoided getting them.
If you use the Alice door, you still get the orbit wing, and I’m not entirely sure about wing buffs right now

If you ever collected wings on your skykid, you can never be permanently capeless again. You can only be temporary capeless by losing your last wing in home/aviary, and change the location (portal or return shrine) right as the wing breaks. You’ll be capeless until you enter home/aviary
(Also at some events it’s possible to go capeless by teleporting to the event while in stormlock, but it’s basically the same, just more work)

It‘s a bug, and not supposed to show up.
Whenever you view a friend or spirit in the constellation, it‘s the same skykid/spirit model that‘s replaced with the appearance you’re currently seeing. And now due to a bug that default spirit model just shows up even if you don‘t look into the constellation. You can report it in #report-a-live-bug if you want

How does the Eye of Eden work with friends, in terms of light? Is it the same as solo, as in, I still have to give light 63 times, or is it shared? Or if I give a light to a fallen child, does that count for my friend(s)? Sounds like it's solo count, based on my asking in the general-sky channel.

Yes it's individual to the player so you still have to "light" 63 statues yourself. Having friends around helps alot tho when you refill each other's light

It certainly helps everywhere, you can hear when the rocks are heading over when you hear the clashing/"thunderous" noise besides at the end;

I sometimes use it to run Eden blindfolded on streams, when I want a little challenge

It does vary person to person though! Some prefer visual over auditory, while some do auditory over visual

For me it's auditory since my eye-sight alone is near awful, even with glasses

The "thunderous noises" are actually the less helpful part, especially in PNR, since they aren't really timed that well with the rock rain, if at all. Idk about the first part since I usually skip it

I agree that the final part is absolutely atrocious for eyes and Im hlad I remember where each statue is there also i recommend to just spam click near every statue in constant storm part and hoping it registers cuz you cant really stop and check there anymore but this tactic works best for me

For now there seems to be no upper limit to the amount of wl you can have if you ask me. As for how wing buffs work, they basically add extra wl to your initial one once you´re reborn, so once you fall back to the game hub (Home/Aviary), you restart with 1 wl + all wing buffs that you´ve gotten from the Spirits.

when i got extinguished in eden & spotted by a krill, someone rushed in to direct the kill's attention away, and even tanked the hit for me. i didn't lose any WLs, but they did. it was a stupid thing to do, but they were so selfless. (they had less wings then i did, too; so losing WL would hurt them more)

i thanked them, and they tried to friend me. i turned down the request and promptly went on my way out of embarrassment, because someone lost WLs trying to protect me. last thing i saw and heard of them was them retracting their candle and facepalming.

when i reached the WL hall, i looked back at them, only to see that they're not there anymore. either the servers got unmerged and re-merged, or they went home.

i genuinely really appreciate what they did for me, but looking back, the rejection came off as rude, and now, i feel very very bad.

(i could've at least done more emotes to show that i'm grateful; or i could've counter-offered the friendship. what was past me thinking!?)

You know I'm not entirely sure how common it is! I personally go from 1-6, then from 6 to ten and loop back around to get 9-7, then do the rest as shown until around 31 where I swap 32 and 33 around, but that's just my route since I got used to it. I'm sure everyone has their own little routes they do, whatever works right!

however, if you ascend spirits (buy the wing lock in a spirits tree) you'll be granted wingbuffs. they act like wl and can only be collected in orbit

That‘s normal. Due to technical limits in the amount of spirits per area, all wing buffs from performance onwards are only given during the rebirth cutscene after you went through the rebirth portal

Believe it or not, the Spirit Parade in Anniversary Aviary. 🤭

Frantic Stagehand is already -1, so there´s that; only 1 spirit remains and well, if they´re inside the parade, then you know that you nabbed all 4 buffs (2 Light, 2 Darkness).

I have taken into account the shattering spirits, I have them checked off in the tracker. I am working my way through the trees on the tracker to see which ones I may have forgotten

I think one of them is double five, as I have level 2 emote unlocked in the friendship tree. The trouble is that if it is an early one that I collected the buff from, I may not be able to confirm until it comes around again as I didn't always buy other items from their trees. I have the first emote of all of them so I do not know if the parade will help.

You can just check which spirits aren’t yet ascended at the parade. Though sometimes spirits are invisible there, not sure whether that‘s been fixed

Can you clarify at what point in a spirit tree is it considered "ascended"? I thought following through their memories did it, in which case after Eden you get to ascend all spirits as they all appear in their spots in the realms, or is it when you unlock the wing buff that it is counted as ascended?

A spirit is ascended once you buy its wing buff. Then the spirit turns from blue to yellow. So you can just check for each spirit whether they’re yellowish or not, which can be done best at the Skyfest parade since all spirits show up there

Eden map is meant to represent death, it is intentional for you to die there and become one with light again. You will be reborn after! with more wing buffs obtained you will reborn with more stars on your cape if you want ascended candles without doing eden, you can burn shards during shard eruption, it gives up to 3.5 ascended candles during strong eruptions

It is those black or red big stones you see on the map sometimes black give wax, red give ascended wax if you ever played and the map suddenly shook and you heard thunder or saw the sky being pink/red when it normally isnt, thats sign of shard eruption happening

If you do a difficult thing and you’re given more rewards for continued effort, I don’t see how that’s a problem.

Basically, probably some people won’t like it, but I bet a lot of people will just for having it there.

My guess is it could be some leftover. I’m betting aviary’s inside area was probably made by using default aviary as a template and removing as much unnecessary stuff as possible out of view.

Maybe in that process they moved it out of the way or experimented with it and just stuck it below the map instead of deleting it.

Technically yes, you can go there once and never again if you decide to. First eden will open rest of the game for you and since then you can just do shard eruptions to get ascended candles from there but if you are completionist then you will HAVE TO go to eden

You will eventually hit a point where the rain will not stop (after the rock with three statues, there will be “dust wall”, thats the constant rain part), just keep walking, ideally in zigzag pattern, you will get hit and lose light but you wont get knocked down and start losing wings

you will be slightly off centered during ascension camera lock but you will be faster than the whale
