This is what I mean with "petrified crab".

Thing was basically "run through most/all checkpoints in shortest amount of time" through the Graveyard while we all were transformed into crabs and if a Krill hit us, it just yeeted us. Mad. Fun. 😆

Yeah, no kidding ... and yes, TGC actually had a survey about the Tournament as well in the end. While, if you ask me, the entire event was a big toilet-yikes due to very uneven distribution of team points and such, the Crab Race was literally its greatest boon and yes, I said that as "extra info" in that survey as well as asked to bring it back, potentially permanently.

I think there are still at least 2 short videos of it in #seasons-events-chat , just gotta use the Search function to find them, one of them being a crab-racer yeeting itself. 🤭

And yes, you could also go Home as a crab and just crab around until the curse wore off; only catch being that this Crab Curse variant was non-infecting and lasted 3 minutes.

If you gave a wing to a statue before you try to escape pnr then nothing can help you out of it anymore. But without saving a statue, you just need to enter/glitch into any other area and go home, and you‘re out of pnr. That works with the teleport to cackling crab too, I just tested it

I believe it’s just the particles of the rocks hitting the ground, they make everything look moving and seem like water. So it’s more an optical illusion and usually people are in a hurry there and don’t look at the surroundings so much. You’re not the first to think there’s water, but if you look closely next time there should be just rocks

the only WL you get back after doing eden are those you "bought".

If you check your constellations at home, some spirits have a lower and upper section, divided by a winged Light you need to buy for ascended candles

also traveling spirits have those but you can only unlock them during the few days they are visiting

to buy their wl, you first need to ascend or relive their original memories

My total before I get out of Orbit is usually 112, I've ascended all these mystery spirits too but I've noticed I'm always missing one wing buff when I do get reborn after walking through the rebirth gate. The thing is, this has been a problem since Frantic Stagehand was ascended, or at least when they came as part of a Group TS visit. I've noticed it's always one off according to my Sky Planner.

I've done so much digging through the planner and double checked, even triple checked all my ascended spirits in the Planner and honestly it's driving me insane.

I don't know whether or not to report this as a bug or contact Support about a missing wing buff. What should I do?

I wish I´d be able to assist, since given how far you are in TS-buffs, I have no clue if you did indeed ascend all of these spirits (not counting off "mystery ones", it´s obvious that you did) or if things got stuck up, since there´s always a chance that there might´ve been one you didn´t, but cannot fully remember. But since I´m on PC and a moth at that point compared to you when it comes to buffs, I´d say the best thing to do is to contact Support about the missing buff, so that they can check if something didn´t "make an oopsie" inside your game account.

What determines how many eden candles you get? First time i got 7 and second time it was 4, despite getting further than last time.

Does eden goes for a tpk after something? At some point there's definitely no gap to get to next safe place with a light. If that's the case what causes that? Does it get stronger the more flying light it takes away from the party?

For your second question, cuz Idk how to answer the 1st and 3rd. The max ascended candles you can get in eden is 15.75. There are 63 statues in total, therefore you get 1 ascended candle per 4 statues that you light. Each statue in eden can only be lit once per week, meaning if you lit 28 statues (since you got 7 candles on the first run) then you can't light those statues again therefore you can't get the ascended candle wax from them again until reset happens. That's why you only got 4 candles on your next run even though you got further because the statues hasn't reset yet. Eden is a weekly thing, but you can still enter it how many times you want if you miss any statues or just for fun.

1. You have to die to progress in Eden, yes.
2. tpk? There are 3 zones in Eden, the first one has occasional rain, the second one has longer rain waves (permanent rain but it moves around so you can run while it rains rocks somewhere else), and the third zone has permanent rock rain, you can’t avoid it. So yes, it gets more difficult the farther you get, and more difficult to keep your light until you will lose light at the permanent rock rain

Not sure if it’s a bug, but i always seem to get stuck in a strange loop after dying in Eden. Where it seems i fall through the world for a while before I eventually get promoted to progress alone.
I can see if i can film it eventually, but i don’t have any videos with me currently :(

It's normal and not intuitive

it can bug out at times though.

The concept is usually that when you succumb to the stones in Eden, your spirit remains as a glowing and bobbing blue ghost ball of light and you are ported to other players that are currently in the same server/zone with you.

Then, after some time (not sure if there is a way to trigger it earlier) the prompt comes. If you say no, you remain a blue ball ghost, otherwise, you continue through the ascend, heaven and rebirth.

I've had cases where the game tried to match me with other players through a post-death server merge. I could have sworn that I was alone on the run, and only after my death, I am suddenly seeing other people... But I also had a run where I was made into a ghost and as the camera started to pan to another player, they poofed and I was floating around aimlessly and the camera behaved funny.

I guess what you are describing is the same, the game tried to have you ghost other players and they were no longer available in your server

I would've liked if during Shattering, during a shard time, Eden would have what's called a "Storm Surge".

While inside Eden, random lightning strikes are common on the ground. You will be warned of the surge before it occurs.

While within the storm end, rocks that come down deal increased damage.

This can occur at the start of every shard and last for 15 minutes approximately. Regardless of whether or not it's a red or black shard.

Honestly, this might be a good idea for #live-feedback now that I think about it... Away it goes into the channel.

I was expecting that when it comes to shard eruptions, actually, like for some time, whole Storm Lock would go into Zone 3-level rain during the eruption phase itself only to then decrease to Zone 1-rate for like a minute after an eruption and then return back to normal.

Of course, if there's gonna be something like that, then I also hope that AC-reward will be briefly increased as well if you do manage to save statues during its duration, but well, that be me and we do need a bigger AC-rewards given the current AC-price stacks, especially Nesting furniture and event stuff.

You could have escaped. You can chibi fall on the gate of Eden after force quitting the game in PNR.

This allows you to safely resume normal gameplay without fear of losing all winged light.

However if you ended up sacrificing even just one winged light, you're locked in until death.

Do take this with HUGE variables included because once you pass Zone 3, Eden stops being a pushover and just unloads its full power to destroy you; I had instances when I went with more wl and still died just before the entrance.

Absolutely everything counts when you try to return back to the start while checking if you didn´t miss any statues, from props to evasion skills to size itself.

Also yes, tactics as well, since once your wl count starts going below 20, then the way back basically becomes Path of the Cross.

Me and my friend always manage to go back to the start but that's because we usually enter with at least 220-230 WL. Still, it's not that easy but it's also not impossible. Because once you get to the final zone and go back, Eden becomes significantly harder due to low wing count and for some reason it becomes almost like the final zone near the beginning of the area.

But of course, but well, my current max is just above 190 wl, thus each time I start to go from the ♦️ to the beginning, it is a literal roll of the dice whenever Eden would allow me to live or destroy me. 😅 😅

And yes, once you go into Zone 3, Eden stops being nice and literally unleashes what I once referred to as "Eye of the Storm", which is basically turning the entirety of Storm Lock/Storm End into an unsurvivable inferno of permanent shard rain.

There's 63 statues in eden, which makes the maximum amount of ascended candles you can get per week 15.75 AC

Me who would HAVE 10 wedges on rebirth but due to a frustrating bug I have, I am always missing one WL upon rebirth every time despite having all base game spirits ascended and all seasonal spirits except Saluting Protector ascended. This bug is making me hit my head against the wall in frustration, I've literally had to contact Support and they said that I am correctly receiving all my winged lights and not missing one at all. Then I had to talk with the Sky Planner creator and make sure there were no errors in my ascended spirits. According to the Planner I'm supposed to have 120 upon rebirth but I'm always born with 119, so it's always one off.

I have even sent in a bug report about this. This is indeed a bug because I have kept track of every spirit I've ascended.

Have around 180+ wings (+elder mask if possible), get to the last lantern without losing light, spam jump everywhere and use mid size honk to get up fast, and for the way back you have to watch out for the usual rock rain there and additional for the permanent rock rain that started when you entered the last zone. Well possible to do, but you need a lot of practice in Eden

Yeah, they all work the same, only difference is the visual look and which Elder is needed to repair it. Forest one is by far most convenient one due to basically needing to visit the Elder daily to reach Forest End and it has most options for outfit combos.

I have no shame, I like to use Isle Elder mask for Eden because of the entire "boat to the Underworld" symbolism and it´s easy to repair in Orbit. For daily activities tho like GW-cr and Krill-dodging practices ... yeah, Forest Elder mask is goated.

It's pretty easy to reach when you do the cave first and fly up using trajectory and butterflies to reach the clouds over the snowy lower mountain range next to the glowy bird cave.

As soon as you reach the clouds, you can ascend easily and get closer to the final peak by switching over to the clouds on the other side.

I did peak yesterday with 79wl (my starting point after rebirth) so you should be able to do it after doing the main path wl first, if you have fewer.

I have a hard time knowing if I have got everyone once I enter continuous rock fall, especially at the very end. There was one statue yesterday that wouldn't show the icon for activation no matter how many times I tried.

what I do is I go up to the last torch, grab the one behind the arc and then I count.

If you go from the last torch and already have the one directly next to it, there's 10 until you reach the dunes and then 4 more on and behind the dunes

it also helps to zoom out to the max. That way the rock impact is less distracting and doesn't completely obscure your view

I have found that I don’t get knocked down. Mine usually lasts until the beginning of area 3. I think twice ? For rocks. It gets a glow when protecting. I really like that. I do like the looks of dawn too , and use the same style for my regular headpiece.

There are seasonal spirits waiting for you to free them. You can only obtain their level one emote for now, but once they return as a Travelling Spirit, you can unlock their cosmetics and emotes to enhance your character.

I was not expecting a scene as horrifying as that in a cozy flying game. I absolutely love it!!

it all depends on how well you do in the statue area. i know a few who managed to keep their WL safe and got majority of the statues with a low wl count.
there's only 63 statues in there after all, it's the surrounding that you need to be careful of

Rocks have a bit of aoe to them, so not all places are completely safe, even if it feels like they are. You can try to just sit down behind cover to make hitbox smaller.

I think zone 3 starts 3 statues earlier than that but for me that last light is always the important marker.

Yes zone 3 is the last light source for me too. Yesterday was 126 light there. A few weeks ago i found that recharging spells are a waste in 3 they last zero seconds.

Elder mask breaks almost immediately which means I’m crusty after the first hit - so can’t move very fast.

I think once getting back to that light it would be fairly reasonable ? to go back to start but getting there seems the challenge?

I use the elder mask for the way to the last light. It negates bad timing or bad luck or, when you play on mobile, lag

Once you reach zone 3, the storm never goes below that. The further away from the crystal you retreat the less bad it gets but it's still constant storm, no more moving showers

There is a rhythm to the rock rain. You can learn the rhythm by watching and listening to your surroundings. It goes in and out like waves, and moving before the next wave crashes (the next rush of rocks) is ideal.

Also go with a group. Other players help you recharge in close proximity, especially if you can hold their hands. And players with more cape wedges can help recharge you if you're exposed, since they won't lose their charge as quickly.

You can’t survive the constant rock rain. The only thing that you can do is jump to be fast, and do a mid-honk (like big honk and then stop midway through) to get up fast if you’re knocked down

It's also worth it to complete the Season of Assembly quests, since you'll be able to access a placeable prop that can recharge you when lit. Best used by placing the prop right next to another light source, so you recharge twice as fast.

Yes, you’re supposed to sacrifice yourself and give your wings away to the statues to help them ascend to the light. You will get 0.25 ascended candles for each statue you save. All wings you had are back to were you found them first, you can simply recollect them.
Also every time you buy a node from a spirit tree using these ascended candles, it will unlock a wing buff that you get as extra wing the next time you’re reborn

I suggest starting at Isle of dawn up to vault, there are around 100 winged lights achievable without buying it with ascended candles

And personally, I love Eden. It is my favorite part of the journey, the visuals are so beautiful and it gives me things to do after I'm done with exploring. I just do it once every week because I want to get cosmetics and I've unlocked most wing buff

In my book, that is tantamount to stealing.

Is the wl the only problem ??? if it is you can always ask in #looking-for-group-live to ask anyone to wl run for you, and make friends as well along the way it's up to you if u want to go back to eden

If your style is just for chilling in sky then you do not have to worry about eden or candles as much, dw there're tons of stuff to do in sky
