depending on where you are, you are more likely to be smacked down by the falling rocks unless you're lucky and it missed you

In my opinion jumping is a good idea in Eden, since you’re much faster with it
If you get knocked down, just do a mid honk and you’ll stand up

ye i always run and jump while doing mid honks to get myself back up faster and it always works id have atleast over 60 wl leftover or 70 or maybe 50? idk by the time i get all the statues and i atleast have like 181 wls or so not counting the wls from shattering

In Eden with a friend now and I particularly noticed it got even more difficult to see and the game prioritized me following my friend instead of giving my winged lights to statues instead. I think this is a big bug, of course.

That was just in the neverending rock rain section.

They did mention in the patch notes that now friend actions will always take priority over other things. That means that if the two icons overlap when you tap, it will always register the friend related one. At least in my understanding.

Instead of the usual weekly trip? I will practically have a second home/nest there; ah, why don’t they add a home/nest in each world? They could have you choose where you want your home/nest so you spawn in the area you like best. I went today, but my last time in Eden in July I had the same thing. I kept seeing gray and brown kids thinking they were statues. Today they looked darker and it was more noticeable, it could be a merge of a bunch of players who died before you but I’m not sure. It was very confusing. (Today was only my 5th time there, I think )

as far as i have noticed, the server merge only happens right when you enter the last area, there could be people playing way ahead of you or going alongside you, some die right when you enter so their statue stays intact as long as you are there

also, never seen the server split mid-running so i don't think there's any instant dead statues or poof new player spotted

I think it also has to do with how much harder it is to see anything with the increased rock rain! I feel like I can’t even see where I’m going let alone where the next statue is once were in the final zone 😭

I always count how many I hit right before I enter that final zone and I have everything until the last 11 or so? The ones where there are no longer any recharge statues to light up

It´s why whenever I manage to reach the last one right in front of ♦️ I then swiftly turn around and go right back to the last torch.

I usually do reference the map on the wiki actually :D, I think what likely happens is that during the most intense area of rock rain one of the statues doesn’t get properly lit bc I’m rushing to get all of them in time. Even if you hit the button I notice that sometimes it doesn’t always work? I’ll try to employ the honk tactic and keep the map up, maybe collect extra wings before my next attempt! A recording might also help

Does anyone perhaps know what causes the red shards in Eden to turn into wax? This is the second time I've seen Eden like this. I've been told it's a bug, and quite an old one that's been around for about 2 years now (I think) Just thought I'd share and maybe get an answer or 2!

I've been reading about it on Reddit, and one of the most popular theories is that it happens at the end of a shard event, that when the shard goes so do the Eden shards by turning into wax. There wasn't a shard active today, so I don't think that's true it's quite an interesting bug, anyway.

It does make me wonder, is the entrance to Eden at the end of Vault actually at the base of Vault where we enter, but sitting at the temple dispells the memory illusion that the Vault Elder keeps there, so that back wall was always destroyed, and leads to Eden directly from the Wasteland temple, or if we do physically go up in the vault, and there's another broken elevator at the top.

I've played a bit today with a max size spell and I kind of enjoyed it. Right now I'm below average, I'd say somewhere around 30% on the scale. Not chibi chibi but pretty small and funny naruto run and all.

Do larger sky kids have an actaull bigger hit box in Eden? I know that my size makes it harder to burn some plants as my candle is below the water so I know size does matter to some extent

Not sure but generally I can just tank all the way to zone 3, so I’m not sure player height really affects it much given I see short players getting burnt out about as often as tall players in Eden.

The hitbox is around the same (a bit smaller for smaller Skykids, but it‘s not a big difference). But it‘s lower for smaller skykids and higher for taller skykids, so smaller skykids can hide better but get extinguished faster in the dark water. In the rock rain it doesn’t matter much

well okay so I got into eden, it's hard to get through the realm and eventually there are loads of rocks coming at you that douse your light or something? And you start losing winged light unless you collect it again and everything. And then the final location with the big diamond thing at the end and the rocks will not stop coming so you lose like a bajillion winged light and um. and since i only had 6 wings when starting eden (did not know that that is not advisable)(I was just so excited) i lost all of them and then went to. heaven? with the other person that i was playing eden with. and we just kinda flew everywhere where it led us and then we ended up back at the start and it said "this is where the real journy begins" and my JAW DROPPED but now i have a single wing again so i have to collect winged light all over again?

or are there any more surprises waiting for me will i get my wings back sooner?

All lost wings return to their position in the world, you can just recollect them.
Also, you can buy wing buffs from spirits. Whenever you buy a node in a spirit tree for ascended candles (the red ones with a star symbol), that spirit will give you a free wing (wing buff) in orbit, just before rebirth, so you can start your new life with more wings

Everything you experienced is normal. The point of Eden is dying in a cycle of life, you’re sacrificing your wings to help the spirit statues in Eden so they can ascend to the light. Then you’re reborn with a single wing and additional all the wing buffs you bought. But you have to find and recollect all winged lights in the realms, where you found them before already

So important info: the more wings you bring into eden (which can be done once a week and resets on Sundays) & the more wings you give to the statues in there (there are 63), the more ascended candles you will receive in return at the end.
You use the ascended candles to unlock the permanent wing buffs from spirits; either the ones in the base constellations (there are around 49 wing buffs available here) or the spirits that return rarely for a few days from past seasons (travelling spirits) once a fortnight. Normally people prioritise the travelling spirits when they’re new cause they often take 2 years to return. But using the ascended candles on the spirits to open wing buffs will give you permanent wings that are added to you; even once you’re reborn from eden, they will remain with you, and they also make both eden and the rest of the game easier to get around with.

I think this is a placeholder. If you switch to call down another spirit, you can actually see for a couple of frames it turns into the other spirit you called down.

Okay this explains so much wow. Thanks so much. So the aim of the game is to help spirits get winged in Eden? And you keep dying when you get to Eden and that’s a normal thing. What happens when all the spirits have come back to life or is that another spoiler? Also okay so the person that I was doing Eden with got reborn with 4 wings already so what that does that mean that wasn’t their first Eden run???? (Wow this game is everything to me now)

We collect the wings to sacrifice them in order to save/release the spirits that are trapped. We get rewarded for it.
Yes, you continue to die in eden and be reborn when you visit that realm.
The game hasn’t ever really explained that part yet so we don’t know officially but there been no indication of change or that being planned. (They do change things though from time to time, so you never really know).
It might have been their first time! They may have unlocked some of the spirits in Orbit when they got to the last stage, using the orbit constellation just before they were reborn - it’s possible to unlock the base spirits from there. Or they may have unlocked spirits before they went to eden; finishing it and being reborn is when those permanent wing buffs get collected/added to the cape if you unlocked them before entering eden. You can unlock spirits from 4 places: your home constellation, each realms home space, each realms temple space, and orbit.
Travelling spirits can be unlocked by visiting them where they appear; which is just in front of your home spawn point; the current visiting one is Shushing Light Scholar, which you can find in Vault!!
Spirits from the current season can be unlocked by the home constellation or from their seasonal area; this season, that’s the boat to the right near home spawning point that takes you to the concert hall. You will need seasonal candles for them though, these can be found by completing the daily quests.

1. Orbit is basically the area you end up after dying in Eden and ascending to the Light; it´s a really surreal space-like place that only leads to what one calls the Rebirth Gate. It contains a map shrine (for some reason), a giant constellation table, outfit stones and even a chat cliff that is made completely of stars.

2. Ascension to the Light is basically ascension to Heavens, yes.

3. They probably mean the constellation table at Home.

4. Yes.

5. Seasonal Candles are used to unlock stuff that seasonal spirits/stands offer during the ongoing season, which is Season of Duets as per current time; there are seasonal stands behind the main stage that offer stuff for seasonal candles and will vanish once the Season ends.

Yes! There’s a home constellation. You know where you spawn at home when you open the game? And you hit the icon that opens your friend constellations to send you friends light every day? Once you open the friend constellation, you can click the tiny arrow down the bottom and it will bring you to the base spirit constellations. Or run down to the main table and it will be available there.

the two krill at the pipe i fly up to the left, under the krill when it goes by and up, and i go into the pipe that way so i can fully avoid the other krill on the left, for the krill at the end i go when it flys to the right, theres more time before it comes back that way but its also hard to time with the rocks
rocks i just avoid by flying over and running when i get between where they end and the final hallway (below the last krill)
it could just be an off day, try not to feel too bad about it

You could fly above the clouds and skip the krill and rocks. It makes it nice and fast. I land at the back of the building where the clouds and red light meet.

Personally, I stopped collecting winged lights since I have enough wing buffs and do Eden every week… But most people I know of just collect all or most winged lights to get more wedges. Also, there are only 49 base-game wing buffs, the rest comes from ts. Getting 100 wing buffs can take you two years

If you mean literally going from the start of the Lock to the Diamond and back again, that is. Eden is really fickle like that, as on this run I went in with 189 wl and died just before I could touch the start-lamps.

Spend the ascended one, they're easy to get and harder to spend (I go to Eden almost every week and I have saved like 130 now!)

I still have this many wings and I always take no damage up until constant rain. But I guess my RNG is 0 because I always manage to hit every statue with like 10 remaining. Going from start to end x2 is insane 😭

Exactly and that was/is meant to be a self-imposed challenge even, going to the start to the end and then back to the start without dying ... which I kind of got addicted to, tbh, because it saved me from forgetting the statues. 😅 😅 Aside wishing to see the lowest amount of wl needed to be able to accomplish such an insane feat.

Especially on the way back when all of Storm Lock gets permanent constant rain, yikes!

hellohello, i'm brand new to eye of eden, i only just got through all six worlds and i might have missed some of the wls in them. should i do a wl run with someone and then go into eden, or just head in now with 65?

If you ask me, it´s definitely better to go into Eden with as many wl as you possibly can. More winged light means greater rewards.

Aside this also serving you as extra HP in case the realm does start to chip you down because it´s brutal.

In my first eden run i had 72 wl iirc. But I did eden anyway and gained some (5?6?) Ascended candles. I used the candles to awaken some spirits, so next run i had more wl

I met a moth in eden and started walking with them to get them as far as I could. They started yelling at me when they were on their last light, didnt even make it to heavy rockfall. When I got out they wouldnt interact with me and then logged off. I'm so sorry little moth!

you will eventually get a route that works for you if you run eden a lot, but its a good starting one to get familiar with all the statue locations
