I mean, I did that just to experiment quite a few times. Its dark, you cant properly see where you are landing. Sharp rocks all over the place. Invisible wall that you have to squeeze through. Risk of getting in krills path or fall oob.

1> its better to explain someone to press cancel(especially if there's multiple people with you, some of which might not be friends with you) if you get the prompt to enter pnr and you are chibi so you can't use wall glitch!

Yeah maybe they're talking about going on top of the entrance to the cave or similar There's a few different ways to go about the right method and the other ones are a lot more difficult and dangerous

We are talking about where to fly once you jump through the crack.
If you fly left you appear on the right side of clouds and make your way to dark water patch.
If you fly right and then up, you can then fly across to the right side of clouds.
But many people still fly right and dont fly across. They keep flying by the left side of clouds to the top of the cave, then try to get in going from there.
Thats very unsafe.

There are two safe ways to get into cave from dark water patch area. If you have trouble getting in through the crack while being chibi you can use second one.

I simply had issues finding the right spot when flying right because on mobile it was all way to dark and the thing I saw in the videos I was ne er able to spot while flying around.

Then I found a left side video and though... Didn't I see this reddish platform already? Let's try that. Left hug of the clouds, down to red platform and then one drop down and walk alongside the wall till the prompt appears.

I'm not chibi but I'm at a permanent - 1,700ish height and I can easily glitch through the left side triangle crack in Eden part 2/3

Here's the way I do it The 'right' way. The way you do it sounds quite similar I fly from the stairs but yeyey you can also jump through the triangle wall thing. The videos you were watching were likely old. It used to be pretty bright on the right side but then some eden updates later and now it's as dark as in my video. Dark or light doesn't make a difference to me as I've done it several times but I can see the issue. It's either too bright in sky or too dark, no in between 💀

I land on the giant platform with the red light pillar, then walk to the right side (close to where you land) and drop down one level to where you can trigger the dialog

The last time I've tried the left side (over a year ago) there were huge risks of getting hit by wind walls, krills and so on, I'm not sure about it now. If you can do it safely and easily then do whatever is comfortable for you

If you plan to land on top of cave entrance, if you don't time it precisely, you'll get blown away and get hit by rocks, or you can get stuck somewhere between rocks and falling unable to get out!

I always find it easiest to land in the water square, near the corner, then wiggle up the wall - there's a crack that you can fall right through into the tunnel that doesn't risk bypassing the PNR prompt.

I've got night vision then, since I haven't had trouble with it (Bringing the fireworks staff helps light up the area once you've landed but i guess I've just memorized the landing spot well enough to find it without much issue, haha)

Eden barely has any wind, it only had wind in certain areas before but it was slowed down not long ago. Anyway it was always possible to fly like that there. Its not the wind but invisible walls that are the problem. If you dont know where they are exactly chances are you are going to fall in oob rather than get to your actual destination 😅

There's no known way to "glitch" over the diamond if that's what you're wondering.

Besides, there's a wind wall now by it.

It's quite impossible as, well, the rocks that fall on you extinguish you and take your lights out, so... I don't think so. If you're asking if you can stand on top of it.

But someone got close enough to the diamond once because they were glitched inside Eden and couldn't ascend.

sounds like you're talking about orbit wl (the one you'll receive once you walk through the rebirth door) there's only 1 orbit wl, it won't multiply every visit

what matter would be how wing buffs from spirits have you purchased

• pick a time where you can spend a lot of time in there. it can be rough and time consuming, so make sure you're not in a rush
• stay alert of your surrounding. this includes visual and audio cues. really important
• and most importantly, stay calm. it can get overwhelming in there for first timer. if you starting to get anxious, there's nothing wrong with stepping back to breathe. this can also be a good time to observe your surrounding too

i know there are several kind experienced players who would drop what they're doing to make sure other players stay safe, especially newbies

point of no return refers to the hallway before you transition to the last area, tho most people refer to the last area pnr (point of no return)

Honestly, I wouldn't listen to the audio cues in PNR. They're meant to throw you off, rely more on the visual cues like observing the rocks falling down and as soon as they stop falling it's safe to go. Audio cues are messed up in PNR, I believe. I tried listening to it but it doesn't really help so much. Just look and observe the patterns of rock falls and you should be good.

There are 63 statues in total. Each one is worth about 0.25 Ascension Candles (AC). You would need at least 150 winged light (wl) to get all 63 due to some being really far out in the endless rock rain

In total you can get 15.75 AC from Eden

It was, I felt what sky was about, as we went into PNR and recharged each other whenever one of us became extinguished.
Holding out a hand when needed, and waiting for each other, I couldn’t have made it past the sand dunes without all of you!
It was a very special eden experience, and I hope this “teamwork” atmosphere would continue on for anyone ascending eden.

Yeah, that's a common bug. You can wait until a prompt shows up to ask you if you'd like to move on.

Do not bother breaking out of the area, by returning to Home. It's simpler just to wait until the game moves you on to the next phase of the Eden sequence.

Restarting sky to go home is usually the easiest and fastest solution. It's a bug that makes sure that you don't move on to the next phase, unless you get a prompt but if you skip it or it by chance doesn't pop up (happens) you're stuck there forever, until you restart sky. Going home and to a return shrine is easiest

Thing is, restarting the game can cause that dreaded PNR bug of not being able to die, and then they're really in trouble. Besides, I've never heard of someone not being able to move on by waiting for the prompt, just need to be patient

Basically, you get stuck in a version of PNR where there's no rock rain and you have no flame. I.e. you're stuck unable to die. The only way out is either by chibi falling under the Eden gate in Home or by contacting Support

It's where you can't ascend AT ALL in PNR. Basically you're a unlit Sky kid who can freely move around in PNR and nothing can make you ascend.

It's been getting more common lately but people have had to contact Support about it.

Got 10 ascended candles on my first ever eden run.
Rough start at the first bit, because i enraged two krills, I dodged one, but tooj damage to flying rocks in the process, then later whilst climbing a hill got smacked ohko down the hill and my friend had to save me

Really sad but inspiring end to COTL I have to say. I really enjoyed my playthrough

I started playing on mobile so im doing Eden on mobile perfectly well. Switch appeared later and Im getting quite good with it now as well (can do Eden with ease for myself) but still prefer mobile while helping others (light, pick up wings, etc). In the end of the day its all about practice 🙂

Deep calling in Eden doesn't seem to do anything besides hoot. I have read here that it recharages you but it has never done that for me.

It's still better to go with as many as possible. You lose a higher amount the more you have but for that reason you want as many as possible. It caps at 5-6 per hit at 150+ wl, and 1-2wl per hit at 50 wl. 3-4wl in between. Will be more or less depending on rng and whether you're in dark water or not

I’m like really new and have only done Eden once, to my knowledge the point of Eden is to get a wing buff (or something along the lines.) If you lose all your winged light during Eden, do you not end up with any buffs? (Unless I’m wrong I’m pretty sure you can only unlock what you bought with ascended after your next Eden run- I’m very new so disregard if wrong)

You will always get wing buffs back after rebirth. Any wing buffs bought from spirits with AC are permanent.

@winter parrot point of Eden is to give wings to kids statues. They give you ascended candles in Orbit in return which you can use to buy wing buffs.

You also can't not die in eden as dying in eden is the whole point, so that can't be avoided. You collect wing buffs in orbit (the starry closet area) which spirits will give it to you, it's a whole animation thing. All you need is to buy wing buffs and go through the rebirth process

The more wing lights you do have, the more you lose, yes but damage is always the same, if you somehow only have 1-4 wedges there's a high probability that you'll lose winged lights when you take damage because the damage multiplier is increased while in Eden. Normally darkness crabs don't do much damage in regular realms but if you get hit by one in Eden then you can receive much more damage.

Just tell him that it's a dangerous realm, but the ending is well worth it. You don't have to tell him every little detail. Before you go into PNR, tell him to keep going, no matter how bad and no matter how grim the situation looks, because everything will be OK in the end. I think that's a perfect way to tell him without giving the whole thing away. My first Sky friend told me in the pre-Shattering update of Eden at the neverending rock rain to always keep going, no matter how bad it looks.

I will never forget that for as long as I game. Truly one of the most special places in my heart took place there.

I'm self-sacrificial by nature, so losing my light in Eden didn't make me cry. It made me feel proud. I have the light they needed, and I will gladly give it up to save them. Almost half my Eden runs have ended with me literally giving my last light to a statue. It is emotional, but more of a happy emotion for me, because I gave of myself to save them. I don't like having to go get my wings again, but I'm glad to give them up.

Rebirth does give me issues, though, because of Journey.

It was the first thing I saw when I got there this last Saturday while doing Eden with my friends, it was a pleasant surprise even if it wasn't meant for me

Yeah, Orbit has always had a special place in my heart. Especially for them. They still mean just as much to me as when we first went through Eden. I teared up and bawled like a baby when we got through to Orbit but I lost it when I saw all of my friends flying to Orbit. The amount of emotions I felt were so overwhelming and at the same time I felt so comfortable to know losing a week's worth of winged lights I had went to something better than I ever could have imagined.

The theme of Orbit itself still tugs at my heart. It's as if my journey was complete, I could rest now. But I knew, deep down that another life awaited me.

Met a hacker in Eden. It started out as I thought they were knocked down but no matter how much I kept lighting them, they wouldn't stand up. So I thought it was just a glitch and ran away. They continued to follow me as if they were trying to light my candle. Once I got up an incline, in the very first area of Eden, I finally lit them and immediately afterwards they offered piggyback. So I of course reported them and ran away.

Reason I state this is i want to know 2 things

Do they move quicker

Is their hitbox smaller than average

Hitbox being huge, because surviability can mean the difference in all the ascended candles or noy

Chibis do not move faster; their running animation just looks like it is because their shorter legs have to work twice as hard to move at the same speed as taller sky kids

The hitbox doesn't really change, it's just lower to the ground, but you can hide more easily behind shelter. Climbing stairs is more difficult and getting stuck in the terrain is a lot more common, however. Additionally, testing has revealed that Chibis will lose light a little faster when standing in the damaging water, but it's not a huge difference.

I'd recommend the opposite tbh, an experienced player knows what they're doing and will glitch you through or breeze through eden, taking away the whole eden experience (the experience being boo eden scary and you need to struggle/hj)

This is how I feel. First run should always be solo, or with a group of others who have little experience. My third run was with a group of players that use skips. Definitely took a bit of the impact out of the area, even though it was faster.

Unless the vet is there for assistance ONLY (getting Moths back up if they fall), I personally feel no vet should accompany a moth. It takes so much impact out of the area, removes so much purpose, if half of it is skipped, or players aren't able to fight their way through or learn on their own. Obviously, if somebody asks for help, that's a different story, but it should still be relatively passive assistance. Guidance, not carrying.

I don't think there is a "best" time for Eden. It's more, if you're ready and have time, do it. Or if you have friends to go with, and find a good time for all of you.

I usually do it the day before Eden resets, though, unless friends want to do it another day.

I never really paid much attention to it, since I'm usually more occupied with watching the sky/path ahead, haha. But I'm not sure It might be for technical reasons related to the bracing animation, it might be a bug, or it might even be an oversight.

You can still sit or use certain emotes ( for example) to lower your hitbox to help dodge the rocks a bit better when you're recharging your light at a sheltered spot, but after a certain point the rock rain is simply too intense for it to make a difference.

Go through the wl collection as quickly as you can, then hold down the screenshot button, and that will take a video of the last 30 seconds of gameplay.

You can then do one of two things to upload that clip to Discord:
For transferring to mobile, go into the album on Switch, press A for "sharing and editing", then select "send to smartphone"
For computer, plug in the Switch and go into settings > data management > manage screenshots and videos > "Copy to a computer via USB connection"

The animations are faster, making our mind think it's faster. Having played chibi many times(though never in Eden) I know they're no faster than my regular size, except in situations where chibi fall is faster than waiting.

They can appear on the map shrines, but if you lost the Shattering winged lights, you won't see those on the map unfortunately.

My biggest issue with the crawling mechanic is how inconsistent it seems to be. Sometimes, you crawl. Other times, you can half-walk. Other times, you can still run, despite having the blue crystals that should only appear after you're extinguished. I've had all this happen, despite the fact that I should have been put straight into the crawl state from the hit I took.

And then don't get me started on the transition animations. Those are, by far, the worst part. Nothing more fun that being locked into position while my Skykid awkwardly gets up, only to be knocked back down immediately because I can't move, wasting time and light.

Winged lights should only determine your MAX HP. If there was a health system

and if you think it makes eden to easy, scale the damage from all sources to the max hp amount

Then make there enough statues equivalent to the amount of possible winged lights you can obtain, so people who worked harder / played more earn more,
Prolly also have to scale down the ascended candle percent earned per statue, but its duoable

and better, to add a social aspect, regening from light sources only slowly restores 50 percent of your max hralth, you need friends light scream thing to restore more

Personally, I think adding that kind of mechanic wouldn't fit a game like Sky, where there isn't any combat and the focus of the game is socialization. Besides, the ultimate goal of Eden is to die - making it easier to survive kinda defeats the purpose And the wing lights already do function as a sort of "hit points" system. The less total number you have, the less you lose when hit, while a larger stock also allows you to take more hits without suffering too much from lost cape wedges. But if you're really passionate about suggesting new mechanics, I recommend dropping your thoughts in #wishlist-and-ideas-archived or #live-feedback !

A fair point! It is interesting to think of how differently Sky could have turned out, with different developers or vision behind the game. Although I definitely feel the frustration that comes from the crawling mechanic and the desire for it to be improved/changed, haha.

There's always room for improvement in any game, of course, so perhaps in the future we'll get an update that makes the crawling a little more consistent.

To be fair, when you're in Eden, your sky kid is suffering from a fair number of bonks to the head from falling rocks, and probably sporting a wicked concussion I know I'd be flopping around like a beached fish if I were in their shoes ;w;

You can skip the credits and a few other cutscenes, but I think they mean the overall experience can feel a little tedious if you regularly run Eden. The walk towards the child of light and the latter half of the flight towards Orbit in particular. I don't mind it since I only go once a week, but others may feel differently.

I definitely understand the feeling 🤝 Eden is gorgeous, and I appreciate the opportunity it gives me to relax and sit back, but there are times when you're in a hurry and can't stop to smell the roses

Overall though, I do love all the cutscenes and cinematic moments in Sky! The game is so pretty that it's hard not to appreciate it.

You get that one when you transition into the credits. Aka, as long as the credits have started, you get it. There's even a period of them that you can't skip (only skippable after the thank you message). I've gotten it every time, and I only watched the credits full through once.

I will double check on my next Eden run, though, and make sure I'm still getting it when I skip. May be a bug or something?

It used to be that if you skip early, you won't get that wl, but now it's fixed and the skip button doesn't appear until after that wl is collected

It's a common bug, think it's related to connection issues(not too sure).
You can wait a bit to get the prompt to move ahead or you can change the server if you don't wanna wait 10 min.

I finally did Eden after chickening out so many times...someone helped me through and it was kinda funny because I (the moth) was relighting them...though they relit me when I needed it. We met up in Orbit and then after they took me to the office (we tried to launch a crab from the cannon but it disappeared when we put it in) and then to Forgotten Ark.

Iirc, meditating at that shrine opens up a webpage where you can leave a review for Sky and rewards you with a free heart one time. (There's a similar shrine right by the start of Hidden Forest.) They're a little bugged though, which is why nothing happened.
