Hey guys. I was asking in #questions-and-help about this, but do you guys sometimes hear a slow heartbeat when you're not even at 10 or less winged light in point of no return? I want to know where this comes from. I'm led to believe it's my own, but man, on multiple occasions every time a Sky kid nearby me dies, I hear a heartbeat too and it sounds like the one where the heart stops beating at that point.

Yes, I've heard this too when someone else dies. I can't recall if it's each time but I'm sure I've heard it when another has died. But if it isn't each time, I'm not sure what would determine hearing it (proximity, friended, etc).

No, the amount of candles you get is tied to the amount of statues you give light to, regardless of if it's your first or twentieth run. One could argue it is easier to get more candles due to having more wings from wing buffs (if purchased), experience, etc, and thus able to rescue more statues. But you will not get more candles solely from the number of times you have gone through Eden.

I did eden with 32 wl, kinda a waste, but it's alright really. I've already gained back about 30 wl. I only managed to get 6.75 ascended candles, because my game crashed and i respawned somewhere i didnt know and it through me off my route.

I did Eden alone for my first time and many other times to follow, i still prefer to do it alone for my own candles (then i just go in many times daily to help others without worrying abt lighting statues for myself). I watched some tutorials before i went and i was fine, got 11 ac i think. Tutorials helped me a lot tho.

My personal take on the crawling thing (as a Shattering moth):

It makes sense lore-wise, as it kinda shows the Sky kids are in pain and are trying to recover.
It's not practical gameplay-wise, as like you guys mentioned, you lose a lot of wl, and you just keep getting pelted.

One thing I REALLY hate, though, maybe even more than the crawling, is the slow-motion thing the game does when you get hit hard. I. Hate. It. So. Much. As if crawling wasn't slow enough, you also got THAT slowing you down. UGH

Running through in the past i always managed to get to the very last statue and have some time to run back and check a few others, even on solo runs
Now together with a friend neither of us made it to the end
the running was much more convenient and the crawling is honestly, for me personally, just a huge bother
Either make it faster pls or change it back entirely

for me, Eden's problem is not in his difficulty, but in his reward and motivation system.
If there was a house or elevator after the red crystal that allowed us to get somewhere else without dying for example, that would already be very motivating for both veterans and newbies. (It could be an easter egg place like the office for example, to socialize and relax after a run )
For motivation, I believe there could be something that is only accessible in that place... Like for example a temple where you can pay to call any TS from the past seasons you want "using alot of Eden's candles"... Probably with a short period of rest between uses too.
Things like that would make the sacrifice of taking a chance on Eden every week something more pleasurable and fun despite any difficulties.

I’m with you @onyx bobcat I’ve done the Eden run 4-5 times now since I started playing, and aside from the first 1-2 times, the difficulty itself isn’t such a big deal. I usually bypass the early dangers and fly around back so I’m right at the WL tunnel. I haven’t gotten all candles, but I usually get 13-14, so I’m fine with that.

What’s less fun is having to go retrieve all the Winged Light all over again - especially since the memories in the red Shard events are random. You may or may not reclaim all the WLs from there and there is no telling how long you’ll have to wait.

Crawling feature is unnecessary, after so many times entering eden, there is no emotional impact from seeing yourself crawl pathetically. Especially when ppl go to Eden for currency.
Everyone wants max result, not going there several times in a week bcz you can't save all the statues in one go,. It's time consuming to only get full 16ascended candles and ppl get burn out easier. They should lower the Elder mask prices, or remove crawl feature.

no idea. i never learned to chibifall :' ) but now there are krill repellant spells available every day, for the duration of days of mischief i believe. you can get 3 each day if i remember correctly: 2x krill repellant in the home candle store and 1x from a gift crab in the cackling crab area. they all cost AC

i've been stacking up on krill repellant spells and i have about 12 now? i only use one spell per eden run so to me it's 12 safe eden trips. and the AC price now is very low, like 1 or 3 AC depending on where you get them

Eden crashed badly for me after latest update and stopped crashing after hot fix. Im on Android. Since hot fix isnt avail on Switch probably thats why there are still crashes. They sure know abt the issue and working on it. I reported it and saw many others do the same.

I just hate that I can no longer do what I do after my exhausting candle runs... just go in Eden and casually save people taking the many risks that I do. Now I have to completely avoid being NEAR them. It just ruins the whole experience yeah.

I posted this in #beta-discussion but I think it deserves to be put here as well, so...

Here's my recommendation for traversing pnr:

-Try sitting by the light sources. You may still take damage, but I've seen myself take somewhat less damage this way somehow.

-At the part before zone 2, the red spotlight zone, apply a fast charge spell to keep yourself in the game, it can be the difference between light and no light at all.

-At zone 3, after making it through the sand dunes, as soon as you do, try to use an instant charge potion. (I say try because well, the menu will keep closing. So fight the menu to get to that instant charge potion. It helps to keep the menu where the instant recharge potion is at this point before entering zone 3.)

-Best tip I can give is to really, just watch and observe the rock rain itself, it becomes easier and more predictable to see when you know the timing.

Actually, those wl are still around! Shard events are still a thing, just they don't happen every day like they did during the season. But you can still access the memories from red shards and they have wl in them

A while ago someone got stuck in Eden like this. Nothing helped them until Support fixed it for them. And next time they went to Eden they got stuck there exactly the same.

Actually no, just checked their post out, support didnt get to help them as well. While they were waiting for Support Eden reset and that helped. Chibi trick didnt work either as they gave their light to statues already.

i like soloing eden (mostly to get the wl), but ever since i made the mistake of growing shorter, I've had trouble with jumps :/

I hate doing Eden with friends, it’s better solo. Also, elder masks are like armor?

sort of, it prevents you from losing winged light like 3 (?) times when hit by crabs or shard crabs or hitting red shards or flying red rocks or smaller Eden rocks (only when otherwise you'd have lost wl, if you just get hit for a chunk of your flaps it does nothing for that). And just once when getting by a krill or an especially large boulder (such as 1-hit flying ones in Eden). When it stops protecting you it 'breaks' and leaves you with no flaps left but not burned out (So not ideal but hey better than nothing).
A broken mask gets a slightly different appearance (loses the glow) and acts as any other mask until you recharge it, either by summoning the elder you got it from in orbit or by meditating at their temple (you don't have to be wearing the mask to recharge it). Also it seems to prevent shard crab knockback? I don't know if that is intended

So like ??? Huh ??? Like they clearly didn't need the help, I was actually struggling to keep up and they didn't want me to lead either so what ??? was up with that ???

You can get through the first section of Eden without losing a wing, sure. But once you go through the point of no return, you have to give up all your winged light.

Imo, PNR isn't hard. Yes, the crawling is annoying and you lose a lot of light going for statues, but considering the trials you have to endure to get there in the first place, PNR is mediocre at best. The only problem is if you're on Switch. As of the latest update, Switch players have been crashing in Eden frequently. You'll be lucky to get to PNR without crashing at least once, let alone going through it. That's the only thing that has made Eden hard imo

There is no way to entirely prevent loss of wl, but there is a way to prevent it from becoming a massive nuisance. Just pay attention to the rock rain, which will stop occassionally at some parts and give you a window to move forward without getting hit. Also make sure to light as many torches as you can, so in case if your flame goes out, you can get it back without too much trouble.

51 might be good, but do note that you'll be likely to lose it all before you get all statues and you'll get less AC afterwards. It's up to you if you wanna get more wl before Eden, but it's definitely recommended. As for post-PNR, everything is doable completely solo. Nothing to worry about.

Also, I don't blame you about the krills. I've been playing this game nonstop for 3 months and I'm STILL terrified of those things

i give up trying to help moths in eden, they are bound and determined to lose all of their winglight before they even get to the krill

i like. try to light this sky kid. they totally ignore me, run past me, get taken out by rocks. i try to light them. they take so long that the rocks return and then to repay my kindness, knock me flat.

I'm struggling to grasp that I have to do Eden this week and this is the first time I'm not willing to really go. I'm burnt out and feeling like the crashes on Switch just aren't worth going through until the next patch. Whenever that may be.

Oh no I mean to finish the constellation to be able to buy the elder hair u need to 100% the constellation and that takes so much but to then buy the hair it only takes abt 4 ascended candles
